The First Battle Fleet had arrived in Syday waters, though they remained 30 kilometers away. The transports were still two days away and Admiral Hughes didn't want to risk a battle until the Army was in position to land, lest he lose the engagement. However, according to the Hellfire, he may not have a choice, as the enemy fleet was a mere 60 kilometers west. Beneficially, he now knew the strength of the enemy. 44 battleships, 14 battlecruisers, 11 armored cruisers, 99 light cruisers, 64 destroyers, and 52 torpedo boats. Compared to his First Battle Fleet, which had 21 battleships and 112 armored cruisers, with 570 destroyers two days to the south. However, he had learned that the enemy fleet had not engaged Admiral Rhodes until they were separated by only 20 kilometers, suggesting only limited range superiority to the armored cruisers. If it came to battle, Admiral Hughes would need to ensure he made the most of his range.

Two days later, the troop transports and the destroyers had arrived. The divisions were landed at the colony and were under orders to move inland. Bolstered by the arrival of his destroyers, Admiral Hughes turned his fleet to the North, seeking to rejoin with Admiral Rhodes before turning to engage the Romans.

The Prime Minister of Norcourt, currently Augustus Pennington, a man 62 years of age. A well loved and humble man, and right hand of the King. He had fought in wars, back in the 1840s, learning the basics of being a soldier, and later on the mentor of the young King. As of now, Pennington was to hold a peace conference with the leader of the Volgan Confederacy, which would lead to the annexation of Goldrush, and eventually, peace in southern Volga.

Soon, after Himmler's death, there was a massive parade celebrating his death, as he was quite tyrannical. However, despite him being ousted from power, he was still technically Führer, and so, in accordance to Warglorian Law, Prime Minister Allen was made the newest Führer of the Warglorian Reich. Soon, Allen's 1st law was to re instate the Volkssturm Program. (A program which required every Warglorian Citizen, aged 7-70, to train in Military Combat and etc, depending on their skills, every Monday and Friday).

After this, Allen reorganised the military, now increasing the number of Wargloria's famous elite soldiers from a max of 600,000 to 850,000 soldiers, and has disbanded 250,000 of the 2,000,000 Conscripts Himmler had. Allen also dissolved the hated race list, now every race is once again equal. Now payment and reparations are being given to victim families during the Himmler reign, plus, the now revealed concentration camps have been transfered into either Prison Camps or Military Bases.

Allen made a speech today, saying how "WE, THE REICH, WILL REVIVE FROM HIMMLER'S AGE, AND MAKE A NEW AGE, A GLORY AGE LIKE ADLER'S, SIEG HEIL!". Despite Allen formerly being both Himmler's former Prime Minister and Aide De Camp, as well as being commented as "Being just as radical as Himmler", many people say he is better then Himmler, as one pedestrian replied "Hey, it's still better then having a Dresden!"

Allen has picked SA Reichsführer Hans Aryan as his new Prime Minister and Aide De Camp, while Aryan has promoted a young officer which he commented was "full of potential for this position", Obergruppenführer Adolf Eichmann, to Reichsführer of the SA. However, despite this change in leadership, troops on the borders with Arengin and Rannoria have not withdrawn or decreased in size at all, the same goes for the armies defending against TeknoRepublika, in fact, Führer Allen had recently authorised the creating of defences of the Warglorian-Norcourt Border, positioning about 40,000 or so Elite Soldiers to occupy the defences.

Allen had come back to his house prior to the parade. While he was walking the halls, he soon was encountered by a hooded figure, when he spoke, he had a very robust, muffled, even slightly demonised seeming voice. The figure seemed to breath very heavily, every breath he had sounded loud and heavy. "You have done well, once again, Wargloria is under the mighty rule of the Order." The Hooded Figure said. "I did what I did was best for the Order, master." Allen replied, kneeling down.

"Jawol, your actions have greatly helped this Order recover from the onslaught of the Rising Sun, soon, our secret war shall change sides, and we shall be the ones eliminating everything they care for." The Hooded Figure said. "As I said master, what I do, is for the Order." Allen replied, still kneeling. "Not anymore Allen, you have served as a disciple in the Order for nearly 20 years, but now, you have proved yourself." The Hooded Figure said.

Suddenly, other hooded figures started appearing our of the shadows, surrounding Allen, all of them holding up swords. "Wulf Allen, do you swear to uphold the principles of our order, and all that for which we stand?" The Hooded Figure asked. "I do." Allen Replied. "And never to share our secrets nor divulge the true nature of our work?" The Hooded Figure asked. "I do." Allen Replied once again. "And to do so from now until death, whatever the cost?" The Hooded Figure asked. "I do" Allen Replied for the last time.

Tech Advancements and Numbers Reports
So far, the production of the Panzer 1P, (now officially Panzer 1) has gone well, now numbering at about 100 1Ps, 20 more then the expected number. There has been further development, and Wargloria is proud to introduce it's very new tank line, the Panzer 2, now with 2 57 mm side guns, this will act as a new heavy tank, supported by the slightly lighter Panzer 1s. So far, 5 have been manufactured, and 15 more are expected to soon be completed soon. There has also been a new military airship design, called the Kriegzeppelin Ausf A, this Zeppelin has been fitted with a more reinforced hull, so long ranged bullets and flares won't be able to penetrate, and set aflame. Furthermore, a cat walk has been fitted from the back of the zeppelin all the way to the cockpit, this is expected to be a platform equipped with bombs, machine guns, and etc so it can rain hell onto ground forces and counter other airforces.

The crews had been at battle stations, ready to engage an enemy on their starboard side. Now they had to rotate the main batteries around to engage the enemy that was now on their port side. Hellfire was overhead, returning information to the Flagship. The Romans were 22 kilometers out. Just within range. "Main batteries, fire at will."

The roar of the mighty 12-inch guns could be heard back on Syday.

The first shells landed among the Roman rearguard. Admiral Agrippa heard the cannons and turned, looking through a pair of binoculars to see the Manticoran fleet. "Afferte difficile starboard ad classem. Afferte latitudine viginti kilometers descendit, et igni." His message was signaled to the rest of the fleet and the massive battle lines turned south. After about ten minutes, they turned again to travel parallel to the Manticoran Fleet. Suddenly Agrippa realized he had made a mistake. Somewhere along the line, his order had been confused and now they were in range of the 10-inch guns on the cruisers. "Malum sit! Nos nimium prope. Agnus. Nihil possumus facere. Omnes gravida, ignis ad voluntatem." The Roman ships unleashed a hellish barrage of 10 and 11-inch shells on the Manticoran fleet and received the same in return. Without ceasing, the Romans battered at the Manticorans and the Manticorans battered at the Romans. Destroyers and torpedo boats were smashed. After only one hour of battle, three Roman battlecruisers exploded within twelve minutes.

IRS Invictus went first, losing all but nine men of a crew of more than 1,200.

Indefesso went next, taking her entire crew of 1,230 men to the bottom.

Finally, the IRS Leo, killing all but 19 sailors. All sunk in the first hour.

The new Premier, Ivan Gregorovich, had commissioned an Act to remove all traces of Premier Kalashinkov reign. Primarily by using his new Paramilitary force, The EWA (Eodorian Worker's Army), to destroy the SRA.

This night will become known as the Operation Clean Slate.

Operation Clean Slate

The city of Guilfeld was awoken to the sound of gunfire. Three shots rang out at around midnight, the shots were aimed at the heads of the SRA. Members of the SRA had been rounded up and executed or imprisoned in the very camps they created. Ivan Gregorovich then delivered a speech to the people of Guilfeld.

"People of Guilfeld, earlier today, the Paramilitary force of the SRA has been convicted of Treason and Crimes against the State. The Eodorian Worker's Army commenced Operation Clean Slate, a mission to cleanse our great state of the evils of Sergei Valachevsky's reign. Premier Kalashinkov had been allowing Capitalist Entente policies infiltrate our policies, the Premier was under the immediate control The Traansval and the Entente Slavs. I hereby decree that the Communist International Union will break all ties with the Entente. The Warglorian Empire has proven to be unpredictable and unnecessarily aggressive in dealing with other nations. The telegram reached the Adrian and he handed it to Catherine. "As heir to the throne, you must become known to the rest of the world. So, I will leave the dealings of the Empire more and more to you. Please." So, Catherine read the message and considered it. "Fewer potentially hostile nations will be advantageous," she muttered to herself.

The battle had lasted for several hours and Admiral Agrippa could see that he was doing poorly. He had received reports that virtually all of his destroyers and torpedo boats had been destroyed. In addition, he had seen at least one battleship sink and three cruisers had exploded near the beginning of the battle. Fortunately, he had seen the Manticorans suffer losses as well. With darkness falling, he had to make a decision. "Corneli, tibi habeo. Si autem ex parte circumita turmas vera fama est, ab occidente Manticorans progressus faciunt. Periere proeliantur multosque pertinaciter succedentes plerique nostrorum copiis et lembos adimit. Insuper et saltem duobus aliis Regulus infirmitatis est demersa. Da, ut, Cornelius. Abrumpas certamine sumus. Pergemus ad septentrionale latus insulae." Cornelius looked at Agrippa, shocked at his orders. "Domine? Quid? Postulat pro nobis est exercitus."

Within three hours, the Roman fleet had successfully broken off the engagement. All that remained to be seen would be if the Manticorans followed.

Arengin-Al Morvern Border


With Al-Morvern falling apart from political strife it had devolved into anarchy pretty quick. The Sultan being assassinated and refugees crossing to Arenginian Araebhum, or using boats to get to Levatine. Many would also got to Boer land. Eventually factions within Al-Morvern began to attack anyone from opposing tribes and factions, this devolved into them also firing at Arenginian ships and border guards. Oswyn would have none of this Anarchy affect Arengin and issued a royal order of invasion of Al-Morvern to settle the anarchy and issue order.

Thee 5th regional Army commanded by Field Marshall Sansonov began to mobilize. The 8th fleet also set course to Al-Morvern coast to blockade and destroy any rebel ships. Quickly the 250,000 troops mobilized into Entheipum and Soamliand. A portion of the 8th fleet deploted Arenginian marines into Sheerwind coast cities.

With the naval engagement ended, Admiral Hughes tallied up the butchers bill. His losses were steep. 37 destroyers, 56 torpedo boats, twelve cruisers, and three of his old Revenge-class battleships. Ten thousand men were killed and five hundred more were wounded. However, they had captured almost four thousand Romans, who confirmed that one battleship, four battlecruisers, seven armored cruisers, 13 light cruisers, and dozens of destroyers and torpedo boats had been sunk and at least an equal number damaged. However heavy the Roman fleet casualties were, Admiral Hughes knew he was the worse for it. He had lost a full seventh of his battleship force and a twelfth of his cruisers. A destroyer was ordered back to Manticore to request additional ships. And he would need them. Rome was barely five days sailing away at full steam whereas Manticore was nearly a week and a half away at full steam. The Navy would take nearly a month to muster additional ships and at least ten days after that to send them to Syday. After the ten days it would take his destroyer to reach Smhakun. Battle Fleet 2 was the only other fleet that was at full strength and even then all of its 36 battleships were Revenge-class, though it was in Ashton Rhuinland. 3rd Fleet had more Dreadnought and Agamemnon class ships, 15 in total with another 16 Revenge-class ships, but was south of Daedrhune. The only fleet that could be brought to reinforce his was the 4th. Unfortunately, that was the only frontline fleet stopping the Entente from invading Hudson Plains. So, unfortunately, Hughes was, for now, on his own. Unless the Empire was hiding a fifth war fleet somewhere up its sleeve, Hughes would just have to pray the Romans didn't send more ships.

On land, the Manticoran Second Field Army moved at speed to Manticore Ridge. Motor Scouts had spotted the Romans surrounding the fort, approximately 100,000 soldiers with heavy artillery and machine guns. The man in charge was General Sir Harold Godfrey, the 3rd Earl of Winnie. His Second Army had 1,620 tanks, 805 armored cars, 19,675 Motor Scouts, 960 field guns, 620 howitzers, 180 anti-aircraft guns, 280 infantry guns, 6,170 machine guns, 12,695 unarmored armed cars, 23,880 trucks, 1,600 mortars, and 223,410 men. Unfortunately for his slightly larger total force, he had only about 127,000 combat troops. Against an entrenched enemy, he would need to make maximum use of his tanks, artillery, and armored cars for the first time. He pondered for a time before settling on a tactic that had originally been used by native tribes in Afrikaan. His tanks would be formed into a kind of bull's head. His heavy tanks, with trucks behind them carrying the infantry, would form the center. On the left and right, his medium tanks would form the horns. Ahead of the heavy tanks, his light tanks would form the snout. As the force moved forward, the trucks would split to the flanks, with armored cars providing cover, and speed to the far edges of the Roman lines before driving right up to the Roman positions and offloading their soldiers after hurling grenades into the Roman positions. His unarmored cars and Motor Scouts would speed through the Roman rear, attacking the artillery and harassing retreating Roman troops.

The battle began at 03:00 the next day, with a withering artillery attack, directed by HMS Hellfire. The shells would continue to fall for the next nine hours.

Et forte non male idea ut suo exercitu. Si deficit etiam in maiore periculo erimus." Cornelius nodded and the orders were passed. A few hours later, the remaining few destroyers had been sent back to Riverside. Agrippa walked to his quarters and pondered his apparent defeat.

The artillery attack was something they had not come under during this war, as the Manticorans on the ridge only had field guns, which did little against the earthworks the Romans had built. Unfortunately for the Romans, the heavier howitzers had much more powerful shells, which cratered the earth and smashed the Romans earthworks. Thousands of soldiers were killed outright or buried alive during the nine hour barrage. When the Manticorans charged after the barrage, the Romans were further shocked by the roaring metal behemoths rattling towards them. One soldier, a third year Legionnaire from Legio XX, cried out, "O caritas de Mithrae, comitum, faciat fugae, ne frangatur, ita ut multi formicae!" A Centurion, after trying to regain order, looked at the tanks that were now beginning to shell the Roman positions and shouted, "Pedicabo!" before trying to climb over his earthworks and join his soldiers in flight. There in front of him was a horseless wagon, with a machinegun on top and soldiers throwing bombs. The bullets ripped through his tunic and he collapsed in a heap back into the ditch he had tried to escape. His body was mutilated by the exploding grenades, just as dozens of other soldiers were killed or maimed.

On a hill six kilometers away, Legate Varro and the five other Legates watched in horror as their carefully crafted siege works melted away into a disorganized melee of soldiers, animals, and machines.

With the collapse of Al-Morven, Führer Wulf Allen, as Wargloria were once allies, ordered and authorised an immediate sending of troops into Al-Morven. Some foreigners would probably consider this action as a back-stabbing invasion, but as Allen said in the newspapers: "I'm very much sure that the people of Al-Morven would prefer protection from the Warglorian Reich, rather then face hostile invasion from one of their long time enemies (Arengin)."

In other news, info has come from the new continent, as General Allinium, with the Warglorian Expeditionary Colonisation Force, colonise the new continent for Wargloria.......

The Manticoran assault appeared to be going well and a company had managed to link up with the Colonists at the top of the ridge. The Roman soldiers were fleeing, standing, dying, and everything in between. Manticoran soldiers died, as well, but not quite as spectacularly. Corporal Samuel Winters was a "Potato Digger", equipped with the new Baker light machine gun. And he was right in the middle of the carnage. One private charged into a Roman trench, shooting one legionnaire and bayoneting another before a Roman lancer speared him. The Roman's horse was then shot and killed by a light tank, falling and pinning the Roman beneath it. Winters heard the Roman scream in Latin before the tank crushed him beneath its tracks. Winters was nearly killed by a lancer himself when a tank a few dozen meters away from him shot just ahead of the charging lancer. Winters was flung into a shellhole by the force of the explosion and shakily rose to his feet. As he climbed out of the hole, the Romans were still fleeing. Rifle and machine gunfire was broken occasionally the explosions of cannon fire and shell bursts. Winters charged forward, seeking to rejoin his company, if any of them were still alive.

Immediately, Tekno Republika discontinued it;'s blockade of the adjacent WarGlorian colonies. The minefields were cancelled and full trade reactivated. A tribute fleet was sent to WarGlorian.
