The conference probably won't start for another few weeks, so I 'd rather start reading this book series now than worry about planning the meals for the conference and stuff (I don't really know how to RP eating, as I usually don't think about eating when I'm eating, so I'll leave the others to plan the 'food and drink options').

I think I'm just going to forgo picking a cuisine and just look up a good majority of locally owned restaraunts in New Orleans and make a meal plan off of that. And just use typical New Orleans drinks for the other part.

So I apologise if I'm coming across as impatient, ungrateful, or rude; but, I don't want this RP to die a slow death like so many others.

I've always supported that. In fact, that was the primary condition I had for whoever was holding the conference.

I believe N Awlins understands that. I'm now just questioning whether we need to plan everything in such detail (e.g. while there may be meals in the RP, they are not important enough to warrant such detailed planning), so we may begin the RP sooner (so as to avoid everyone losing interest).

Crawfish is a crustation, seafood pretty much. Vegetarians are allowed seafood. The gumbo is a seafood gumbo. Muffa's might be an issue but that can be substituted during the conference. Jumbalaya can or cannot include meat products, and can substitute for seafood, real or fake crabmeat if needed. Where there's a will, there's a way.
