The Capilean air forces, now without a task, had begun to withdraw when they noticed that a Swedish air wing was approaching. Instantly the Capilean fighters swerved around, and threw themselves right into the oncoming enemy. The Arkbirds didn't get a chance to demolish the infantry, as they were intercepted by the Capilean air forces. Although the Swedes had a slight technological advantage, it was only slight, and they were outnumbered almost six to one in the air as Capilean fighter-bombers dived in to help.

All across Northern Italy the Swedish forces were capitulating. Already the under defended cities of Turon, Milan, and Venice had fallen. Only Florence, which had a larger garrison due to its position on the front line, and Genoa, which was also protected as it was the largest seaport in North Italy and was where almost all Swedish supplies came in, held on. These surviving cities came under obliterating assault as aircraft, free from the fight in San Marino, descended on them. In Venice, where several key airfields had been taken, Capilean transport aircraft began to unload tanks, equipment, and reinforcements. Ships in North Africa carrying tens of thousands more troops have set off for Venice, whilst a large Capilean fleet is bound for Genoa.

News that the Swedes had refused to surrender filtered back to General Nemetz, who ordered that the Swedes should now feel the full effects of war. Hundreds of planes are armed with canisters of poisonous gas...

Calls are coming in from local SAS aircraft saying there are numerous planes approaching the city at an alarming rate. They got a call from an SAS Soldier saying, "They're everywhere! I'm looking at bomber planes dotting my sights! How the hell did they get through?! Men, focus all firepower on the planes! Do not hesitate to pull the trigger! Please! We need support here now before they get through the rest of Italy!" As soon as the call was over, the area was on Extreme Status. All military bases around Italy are ordered to respond to the situation before it becomes a disaster.

Fort Summer, Old Vexia

Field Marshall Chuck Adams walked down the tiled floors of Fort Summer located somewhere in Old Vexia (RL central Ukraine). It had been 4 hours since the transmission from Fort Sierra was received and in those 4 hours, the troops stationed on the border of Neolvex near Fort Summer had been grouped into Intervention Group Alpha in a hypothetical Operation Old Heart.

The units that composed Alpha was the 25th Armored Battalion, 19th Infantry Brigade, with the 78th Air Group as air support. In total the BGA had over 4,800 men ready to deploy with reinforcements of the 7th Armed Battalion and 34th Infantry Battalion.

'It's time to show why we were a superpower' Adams thought to himself as he walked into a dark room filled with men and women in their uniforms next to a long table. As the Field Marshall entered, the occupants sat down with Adams following suit at the head seat. He cleared his throat and began to speak "Greetings officers. If you'll recall we received an order from High Command straight up from the Highest of the High Brass himself besides the Emperor, Sup Com Holland. And this order was to get ready for an armed intervention in the Capile-SAS Conflict in San Mario. Now we may not be a superpower anymore after The Collapse but we sure as hell can pack a punch..."

The Capilean air wings, while taking heavy fire from Swedish anti-aircraft elements, are ordered to steer clear of the beaches where the enemy navy is concentrated, and instead focus on whittling down the Swedish air forces. The Swedes have failed to assault San Marino, as their forces have been rolled back from the city. Only a level-headed commander could organize the Swedish forces into a withdrawal to prevent a disastrous all out route. While Swedish forces throughout Northern Italy have put pressure on the Capilean paratroops, all of the targeted cities have fallen, yielding thousands of Swedish prisoners and preventing enemy relief forces from doing much damage. The Italian military has been asked to begin a major campaign to rush into Northern Italy whilst the local Swedish forces are in chaos.

400 bombers loaded with poison gas have landed in Sicily, and have been ordered to be on standby. Meanwhile troops convoys are beginning to reach captured coastal towns, reinforcing the Capilean forces with fresh troops and equipment. In Egypt yet another force of paratroops were being assembled, this time to target Swedish occupied Germany...

After the allegations of corruption and treason got out against Keevert, the National Assemblys called a snap election. The Conservatives lost 14 seats to fall to 197, but it will remain the ruling party. President Keevert will remain in office. The Liberals gained 6 seats to go to 87. The Libertarian Party made large strides with a 10 seat increase, to go to 50. The Green Party had to deal with a scandal in witch the party leader was caught with ties to Eclius. They lost 2 to go to 16. The Constitution Party gained 5 seats to go to 12. All seats were formerly held by the pro war coalition partner Conservative party. The Commies lost 2 sets to go to 2.

Lieutenant General Walther Nemetz carefully scrutinized the large strategic map of Northern Italy splayed out before him. The Swedes were, for all intensive purposes, defeated, and a general withdraw to the Austrian Alps, an easily defensible geographic position, was expected. Nemetz' concentration was interrupted by the sudden slam of a door. A military adjutant rushed into the room. It was beautifully decorated, as the military command had set up shop in a countryside Italian villa; when in Rome, eh? The panting aide rushed up to his superior and saluted. Walther returned the gesture. "Herr general! The Swedes' resolve is faltering on all fronts.

"In San Marino our air forces have dispatched theirs, and are currently spreading out to help the ground troops fight off the last traces of resistance. We've captured close to 40,000 Swedes in San Marino and from the various cities we conquered, and all of those prisoners are being sent south by rail to Messina where a transport fleet is waiting to haul them to Kongsberg. That's a nice large labor force we captured, and they'll do fine work producing ammunition and arms for us." The general nodded absentmindedly, still studying the map. The adjutant switched from his euphoric tone to a more serious one. "Sir, we've also gotten reports that the Swedish fleet is on the move."

Walther started and jumped to his feet, rising several inches above the aide. "They're moving towards coastal cities, likely to bombard them." Walther began a brisk walk towards the communications office in the villa, the man huffing to keep up with him. Nemetz burst into the room, seeing four men hard at work on exquisitely carved wooden desks in the office like room. Hovering above them was a keen young officer, whose flashy rank badges betrayed as an Oberfunker, or a senior communications officer. Oberfunker Otto Strauß, Walther remembered. An old general's trick, to gain favor with his men by remembering their names.

"Oberfunker Strauß," the general said as he snapped out a salute to return the gesture the man had performed. Strauß' face lit up for a moment; indeed it did win them over. However, it was quickly replaced with a calm, collected, and business-like expression. "Herr general." "Admiral Reuter and I have butted heads before, but it is time for him to realize that I am his superior officer as supreme commander of all Capilean forces in Italy," Walther dictated. The Oberfunker quickly turned to one of his men, instructing him to reword Nemetz' statements into a military order. "As such, I issue a general order for his carrier groups to engage the enemy fleet and if possible intercept them before they reach the Italian coast.

"I have no naval expertise, so I leave the precise tactics to him. I will offer the services of the land-based air wings currently in Central Italy in addition to the Admiral's carrier air groups so as to engage the enemy fleet with utmost efficiency." He finished and leaned over to read what the communication man had transcribed. "Good. Forward that to Admiral Reuter in Genoa immediately." Walther left the office and collapsed into a comfortable armchair back in the planning room. He ran his fingers through his blond hair, taking his mind off the war for a minute. He wished his family was here with him; it really was beautiful, and Walther wished his wife and son and daughter could be here and enjoy it with him.

"After the fighting in Italy is finished, I'll send for them," he concluded out loud, thinking fondly of his precious family back in Capile. Glancing back down at the map, he looked up towards Austria. Two corps of Capilean mountain troops were already assembled in Egypt, ready for warfare in the Alps. Meanwhile a paratroop operation was scheduled to capture Vienna and Innsbruck, although Walther thought the enemy might be wary of another airborne assault after the mass operations of that kind throughout Northern Italy. For right now, it seemed the Swedes were defeated, and they would have to retreat to somewhere or be annihilated.

SAS Captain: "Fall back! Fall back! We can't beat them! There's too many! We're making plans to reinforce ourselves in the Alps. All units regroup with them there." SAS Squad 76: "Roger that 6-4. We'll get there. Man I can't believe we're already losing this war. I thought if no one got involved we would have this place done by Christmas. Now i'm not even so sure. We've already started to abandon Northern Italy and leaving anyone else left to fend for themselves so shouldn't we try to help them?" Corporal Baker: "Soldier if they couldn't be able to get on a ride anywhere out of here and couldn't tell we have lost the battle here, then they kinda deserve it. Once those damn Capileans got involved, we were sure now to lose this war. Face it men, war is doomed to be endless. As long as Sweden and Eclius are at odds with each other, there will never be peace among them. Both of them have different ideologies. These different ideologies spur violence since they don't agree on the same thing. So let's be real here. If we couldn't be able to prevent war between 2 superpowers, there will never be peace among humanity. There will always be conflict and others there to exploit it for gain and I think the Capileans are one of them. Now we need to keep up with the convoy gentlemen. Move out." SAS Squad 76: "Yes sir."

Mitchell: "I don't believe it. How did we not prepare for an airborne assault? Ready the AA Guns at the Alps in case something similar like that happens." "Yes sir."

It was a cold and rainy night. President Mitchell stood outside a village from nowhere, wondering where he is........He then sees a tiny little house, with a glimpse of light illuminating the place in a dark, and freezing atmosphere. He approaches it and from outside a half-closed widow, and he witnessed a conversation between several mid-aged men.....
"Those infidels will suffer"
"Damn those Romans, for they shall burn!"
"Brothers, tomorrow, those Romans and their provincial parliament building will be razed to ground"
"Allahu Akbar!"
When suddenly, the lights faded, and a mysterious figure appeared from the shadows, and the terrorists in the house started to scream and shoot. With a glimpse of light from the lightning, President Mitchell saw a figure........a figure in Plague Doctor suit, tearing those four terrorists apart with raw psychokinetic powers. And suddenly, the figure appeared before President Mitchell himself, and in a cold and dark tone, the figure said, "All who opposes the light shall be razed to ash". He raised a scythe and slashed towards President Mitchell.......
"Mr. President....Mr. President, are you alright?"

Suddenly, the door opened, a young lady walked in, it was Senator Octavia, young, but is one of the most skilled advisor to Caesar himself, and a member of the Inner Senate
"Caesar, I have finally discovered a way to put Mitchell in rest"
She walked over, and delivered a photo to Caesar. Caesar smiled, and said, "Well done...."

Hundreds of thousands of gleeful Capilean soldiers paraded through the streets of Milan, recently liberated from Sweden. With the withdrawal of the final Swedish forces, the enemy held only small, unimportant areas of land around the Austrian border. Italy, almost completely recovered, was in celebration, as was Heeresgruppe Alpen, the new name of the army group covering the Austro-Italian border. It consisted of almost one million men, who were in high spirits after their glorious victory. Opposite them was the Swedish army; a rag-tag group racked with casualties and completely embarrassed after their atrocious defeat. The Swedes had lost a good many men not only as dead or wounded, but also as prisoners. Upwards of 150,000 Swedish P.O.W. had been retrieved after the surrender of the last surrounded garrisons, which included a good many senior officers; as many as two hundred Swedes of the rank of Colonel and above had surrendered, and would be interrogated for information before being sent back to Nova Capile along with their men to work in factories for the duration of the war.

In addition to the labor force and information they provided, it also left the Swedish army in complete and utter disarray. Not only were senior officers missing from command posts, but entire corps had been surrounded and destroyed during the liberation, leaving the Swedes with many skeleton divisions made up of only a few hundred men. Capilean military estimates indicated that it could take months to completely reorganize the chain of command, leaving the Swedish army still in chaos. Despite their hasty retreat into the Alps, many positions were lightly defended and proper fortifications had not yet been constructed, leaving the mountainous terrain as the only element in the enemy's favor.

Now that 120,000 mountaineers had arrived and been positioned along the Alpine borders, an attack looked as if it would go completely in Capile's favor. 120,000 fresh, invigorated mountain troops against a motley Swedish army that was still in organizational chaos, was low on manpower, unaccustomed to mountainous warfare, and still reeling from the crushing blow to their pride that was the liberation of Northern Italy. Capilean intelligence had discovered that Swedish efforts to build up anti-air defenses in major Austrian cities were steaming along, and so plans for airborne operations were scrapped and new ones drawn up for when the enemy was on the retreat.

Walther Nemetz would not give his opponent a second to rest; just five days after Italy had been secured he launched Operation: Dreizack. Operation Trident called for a three pronged attack by the mountaineers, one on either flank and a final in the center, a point where Swedish forces were the strongest and most concentrated. The central attack was a slow grind, as expected, and was launched first so as to draw Swedish troops from other sectors into it. When Capilean forces had been totally bogged down by enemy efforts, the two other attacks were launched, and predictably they surged forward, knocking back weak local enemies and leaping towards each other. After just one day the two flanking efforts, supported now by additional infantry corps, had met and formed a large pocket around the Swedish forces fighting the central prong.

In this way upwards of 45,000 more Swedes had been trapped in the pocket and completely surrounded, whilst the rest of the Swedish army was reeling away towards Vienna and Innsbruck. As the fighting grew more desperate in the pocket, armored forces were brought in and engaged enemy forces in rare flat land, making the pocket smaller and smaller. A final, all out offensive sought to completely destroy the trapped Swedes and then spread out across Austria and quickly secure it before serious reinforcements from Sweden could arrive.

Mitchell: What the hell is going on down in Austria?" "Sir! We're starting to lose units." "Then get me some more units! Boost the benefits of recruitment and possibly add conscription if we need to! I need to keep them away from Sweden at all costs! And if it comes down to it..." He says as he looks at the red button with a radiation symbol on it, sealed away by a glass case. "I'm nuking my own country and all those damn roaches in my country away to the Moon." "Sir, are you insane?! Are you trying to cause nuclear war?!" "Ahh, what good is it when we know that if we lose, we're just gonna become a bunch of fucking slaves to their empire?! Better to die in radiation then live long enough to suffer! General, get me more men and pull some units from the Pacific." General Kurokawa: "Yes Commissar. I will send in more reinforcements. Germany and our territory will not fall to the filthy fascists!" "Are we Soviet Russia now General? If not, then why call me Commissar?!" "Oh no reason other than for a joke. Heheheheh." As soon as he said that, Mitchell was starting to become suspicious. No one would say that unless it was a communist country. That probably meant that his own general was planning a coup against the Swedish government. Mitchell won't let that happen one bit and he'd rather die than live in a fully communist country.

Austria

The so named Klagenfurt pocket had fallen with the surrender of the last undersupplied Swedish units, and now more than 35,000 weary prisoners of war were being slowly escorted southward. So far, with the capture or killing of over 250,000 experienced Swedish troops, the enemy army had been sucked dry for hardened veterans, which meant that the scattered Swedish units defending Austria were gangly recruits. A trickle of reinforcements was slowly bringing the Swedish army back up to strength- but these men were all green too- and still it would take many months to completely rebuild after the disastrous encirclements in Northern Italy and Austria. Sweden was a sparsely populated country, and their volunteer manpower had to be running dangerously low. Now the Capileans were still pressing their advantage; the region of Carinthia(refer to map below) had been completely secured, and the provinces of Styria and Burgenland were being overrun at a startling rate.

The Capilean mountaineers were being shifted over to the steeper regions of Salzburg and Tyrol, where they would be used to their maximum potential. Meanwhile, 300,000 regular infantrymen, confident after their astounding victories against the Swedes, were sweeping through Styria, securing the land whilst armored units, now in flat land, lunged out into Burgenland and Lower Austria, rushing towards Vienna. And in Italy paratroopers were preparing for additional operations...

General Walther Nemetz sat composing surrender terms to Sweden. Of course, these weren't to be sent out now, but later, when the enemy had been pushed from Germany and only clung to stretches of the Baltic Coast. It required that Swedish troops completely evacuate Mainland Europe, turning over all of their territory to Nova Capile and Eclius and agreeing to demobilize their army. The Swedish military would be forced to remain at a size of no more than 80,000 men, while the navy could not possess any aircraft carriers or battlecruisers and must be no bigger than 30 vessels. The Swedish government would only be forced to pay a few million Reichsmarks to Eclius and Capile each, to make up for the damages they had caused. But no really harsh terms would be forced on Sweden itself; only the Empire would be strangled.

"Sir! We have lost Austria to the enemy and are now possibly on approach to this sector! What are our orders?" Kurokawa: "Prep the troops for their forces and reinforce the defense lines. If we need to, use the chemical weapons. As a very last resort, use the Dirty Bombs." "Sir, are you trying to ignite nuclear war?" "I am not trying to Private! But if we have to, then yes. Now ready our major forces and begin a crackdown on any enemy forces that may have infiltrated the major cities. Weed out the fools." "Yes sir."

Recently after an unknown event at this time, police forces are now cracking down on criminal or suspects. Likely this might have something to do with the war against the Capileans or so but be careful.

Austria

After the elimination of the Klagenfurt pocket the remaining Swedish forces in Austria scattered, straggling north into Germany and leaving the Alpine country for Capile's taking. Capilean forces marched into Vienna unopposed a week after the Klagenfurt incident, to mass cheering as the liberated Austrians celebrated their freedom. As the last swathes of Austrian territory were secured the Grand Duke declared the creation of Ostmark, a new country under the leadership of King Gustav I, the new Austrian monarch. The people of Ostmark were given generous freedoms and Gustav was revealed to be a benevolent man. In reality, however, the power behind the throne was Nova Capile, who sponsored the King's good works. They allowed Gustav to do as he liked, so long as he obeyed the Grand Duke's orders.

Thousands of Austrian patriots volunteered to join the newly created Defense Forces of Ostmark, which swelled to 75,000 men seemingly overnight. Armed with captured Swedish and old Austrian army equipment, the DFO was designated to defend the mountainous regions of Tyrol and Voralberg, whilst Capilean Heeresgruppe Alpen spread across the rest of the Austro-German border.
