OOC: Syndicate of Light didn't want to restart Project Eclipse. Project Eclipse as mentioned is a project in aimed to create super-virus, which can be used to wipe-out Swedes and Orionites. However, Inner Senate thought it was too dangerous, terminated it, but Syndicate of Light decided to fund the project in secret.

So you're saying the SoL was funding it in secret then?

OOC: yes, General Tullius wanted to rule the world himself, so he convinced head of Project Eclipse, Professor Maritimus into joining him. Therefore, once the project got terminated, and inner senate ordered members of Bunker Zero to start researching cures for biological weapons, Professor Maritimus did not notify other researchers and instead, they continued the research on genetically enhanced virus without knowing what happened in Eclisian mainland.

Just as planned Swedish aircraft began entering the airspace above the patrol craft. The rest of the attack force was still lagging a few miles behind. Suddenly extra blips began appearing on the radar of the patrolcraft. Several new contacts had appeared, possibly Swedish rienforcements. For a moment the radios on all the airplanes fell silent as they waited to see the next actions of the Swedish. Suddenly all hell broke lose as the new contacts began to fire at the Swedish aircraft. A full on dogfight was taking place, right above the NUC task force. A sudden loud call came over all radios "Abort mission. Regroup, refuel, and rearm, we'll have to strike later." As fast as the message had been recived, NUC aircraft began scrambling away, heading back for the Naval Strike Force. After several minutes of quite, yet intense flying they had returned to the Strike Force, where they began to prepare for a follow up mission. Word then came down that they were to prepare for a possivle attack on the icelandic base, cutting off Naval and air refueling positions for the Swedish. The ships rerouted a course as the planes prepared to take off yet again

Lieutenant Griffin could barely see past the windscreen of his cockpit. He squinted against the rain, looking for signs of planes. Suddenly, a large dark shadow streaked across the bow of his plane.

Almost immediately the sky became full of bright tracer rounds, with pilots from all flights shooting at shadows. They could very well be shooting at each other, but they didn't care. With adrenaline pumping and nerves at the breaking point, it was quite easy to simply pull the trigger at whatever they saw.

When suddenly, from the clouds and the moon, came the eagles (less poetically, drones), the messengers, they came to deliver the wrath of Rome. As the soldiers looked up, thousands and thousands of missiles fell, it was the latest invention of the Syndicate, a sinister missile that carries the might of gods. It was the Hammer of Vulcan, or clustered white phosphorus explosives.

Tullius Caesar of Eclisian Empire declares the act to be deplorable, he also condemned Swedish President Mitchell to be a criminal that should be placed in trial for constantly ordering attacks on civilian population.

Second and Third Fleets, originally posted in the Pacific, set sail to rendezvous with Fourth Fleet in the Greenland Sea. From Air Bases all over the Empire, bombers take off to pound port cities in Southern Norway. Four more armies are loaded onto transports to reinforce the Greenland garrison (which would bring the total up to about 240,000 soldiers). Airborne units are briefed on air drops that might take place over the Norwegian coast, and submarines are dispatched to destroy any SAS ships they find. As an added precaution, New Equestria's few nuclear silos are loaded with ICBMs. New Equestria is at war with the Swedish Allied States.

Reactivate the missiles and fill them with a more powerful punch to them." "Yes sir." "We never did anything of the sort. Hmm, maybe it will instill fear in them. Imperius! Mobilize the Airborne Brigade (5,000 paratroopers). I want a primary air drop behind Stavanger (where the Army landed), and secondary drops at Sandnes and Egersund. Move Air Fleets 1 and 2 (I'm thinking 1,000 fighters and 500 CAS planes? Also 10 AC-140s, which is our own version of the AC-130) to the Greenland base. We have to get our troops off those beaches!"

Spear Beach, a few miles Northwest of Stavanger
Major Nickles yelled into the phone.
"They have too many aircraft! We can't keep pushing against this kind of airpower, we're taking too many casualties!"
It was hard to hear the Admiral's voice through the static.
"Sorry, we can't offer any more fighters. Until the Air Force arrives in this sector, air cover will be light. We'll do our best to increase missile bombardment."
The Army Major through the radio phone in disgust.

Just then an artillery shell struck nearby, which was answered furiously by Headquarters Company machine gunners. Another wave of missiles from Destroyers 20 miles off the coast came down and landed on the SAS defenses. The Major jumped out of the small trench and turned to face his troops.
"C'mon men! We almost have them! Forward!"
Men all over the beach stood up and sprinted forward, getting cut down by small arms fire and bombs dropped from overhead drones and planes. The rest jumped into craters caused by bombs and shells. Despite enormous casualties, they were slowly pushing forward towards the city itself.

NUC Strike Group

The storm at sea, was showing signs of leeting up, but the rain still pounded on the flight decks of the carriers, and the fog had not yet lifted. The bridge yet agian quite as they fleet moved ever more towards Sweden and at this point further north. Suddenly the command councils begab flashing as they read multiple missile launches conveying on their postion. Normally the command would be given to scramble jets and deploy the ICBM defenses, yet there was a pause. The computers had noticed a launch but no idicators of the missiles being targeted at the fleet. Suddenly the councils went off agian, more missiles were being fired, this time from the north, again with the fleet not being a target. Suddenly the answer came over the crewmen of every ship, like a tidal wave over a coastal down. Sweden and Eclius had gone mad, these missiles were launched at eahc other, not the fleet! Suddenly a message was being intercepted, it was very cryptic, yet mentioned something about the Nation of Equatrian joining with Sweden. Another cyrptic message on it's way to somewhere in Sweden was intercepted. Something was wrong, but Admiral Jager couldn't quite understand what was happening. A message was sent out to Eclius demmanding what had happened.

Major Nickles yelled into the phone.
"They have too many aircraft! We can't keep pushing againsun this kind of airpower, we're taking too many casualties!"
It was hard to hear the Admiral's voice through the static.
"Sorry, we can't offer any more fighters. Until the Air Force arrives in this sector, air cover will be light. We'll do our best to increase missile bombardment."
The Army Major through the radio phone in disgust.
"We don't need missiles, we need planes damnit!"
Just then an artillery shell struck nearby, which was answered furiously by Headquarters Company machine gunners. Another wave of missiles from Destroyers 20 miles off the coast came down and landed on the SAS defenses. The Major jumped out of the small trench and turned to face his troops.
"C'mon men! We almost have them! Forward!"
Men all over the beach stood up and sprinted forward, getting cut down by small arms fire and bombs dropped from overhead drones and planes. The rest jumped into craters caused by bombs and shells. Despite enormous casualties, they were slowly pushing forward towards the city itself.

"Sir! The Equestrians are taking heavy casualties. Out air superiority is unmatched." "Good. Finish them off with artillery bombardment. Push them back until the last man." As artillery beginning its bombardment of the beach, it seemed that at this rate, the battle will end in a Swedish victory. While down in Copenhagen, the rebellion by Swedish deserters will be over soon as the SAS surround the city and with no way out for them, they will either fight and die or give themselves up.

The flight deck of one NUCN Aircraft carrier, now became filled with 8 Iu-5 aircraft, some planned for an patrol over Eclius, the others for one over Sweden. They would be launched soon, and would hopefully collect helpful data. Soon the aircraft had left the flight decks for the long Journey to and From their targets. As all this was happening NUCN radio operator were trying to open a comms link with the Equestrian fleet, and hopefully their command base which intel reported was in Greenland.

Over Eclius

The Iu-5s sped over the skies above Eclius. They were far enough south that the weather had let up, making their job much easier. The blazed over the country side, several thousand feet above the ground, and far enough inland that they didn't have to worry about the clashing of the Sweish and Ecliusian Armies. As they apprached deeper into Eclius they were surprised by what they saw. More Missile silos had begun to open all around the country. A possible second strike?. The lead pilot immedialty radioed in.

<No. Strangely we haven't seen any air patrols, or many people for that matter>

The planes pulled a large loops of Eclius, taking additional footage of the land scape, and missile silos. They made sure to take extra footage of the battle raging below. Soon they would return back to the Strike Group to refuel and rest.

Sweden
The Iu-5s flew much closer to the ground as they approached the Swedish targets. They didn;t run into any flight patrols on the way in, obviously busy with the retreating Equestrians to the north. The Swedish cities appeared in much worse condition. Many were bombed out or crumbling, others had just simply colasped. It reminded the patrol leader, a vet of the Swedish region, how the country looked so many years ago. It saddened him to an extent. Soon the Swedish military instalations could be seen. Troops were busy moving in and out, refueling an rearming, no doubt preparing for a possible counter attack, for even prepaing for an invasion force of their own. The leader now radioed in.

"We did it men! We pulled them away from the city. Congratulations men." Sir! A missile is inbound to Stavenger. Should we activate the Iron Dome?" "What kind of question is that? Of course activate the damn thing!" As an array of missile and gun turrets activate, they have one goal right now: prevent the destruction of Stavenger. As the weapons come online, they immediately start firing at the missile, hoping to shoot it down and detonate it mid air.

Stockholm, Sweden
Business District

As Dengue Fever had spreaded to the Business District, SAS military guards are working on enforcing the quarantine to ensure they do not escape and spread the infection further. CNN Breaking News: "We have a news report coming at you live! It seems the outbreak of Dengue Fever has swept through Stockholm with the Business and the Downtown Districts. Residents are ordered to stay in their homes for now to avoid spreading the disease even further. It seems the military in the meantime has ordered a kill on sight for any infected civilian until they find a cure. We spoke with Police Commissioner Dan Willow to hear his opinion on the situation. "Well if you ask me, i think this situation has turned into a shithole. I am hoping our stretch for peace with the Orion Isles will help us in the long run as it seems that Eclius is causing us a pain in our asses. The lone communications officer sat at the radio console. Nothing had come in since the invasion force had retreated. He was about to end his shift when a faint message started coming through.

The radio operator frowned in confusion, as it was very nonsensical. Less than a minute after it ended, he heard a second one.

Still unable to figure it out, he simply transcribed both messages onto paper and gave them to his company CO, before changing shifts.

CNN BREAKING NEWS: Riot in Union city escalated quickly as rioters started tossing emptied bottles and bricks toward Swedish embassy. Twenty staff members of the Swedish embassy have been hospitalized due to the riot. Meanwhile in Swedish Allied States, the opposition leader calls peace between Swedish Allied States and Eclius, claiming the act of warmongering needs to stop.
