Undisclosed location somewhere in Beruiti

General Sardar Bahman sat in his office, surrounded by regional commanders of the New Peoples Army, recruitment officers, and GAIG agents that were working for the Beruiti Office. It was late at night, but no one really cared. Bahman reminded his regional commanders that this is not going to be an easy task ahead of them. Building a Neoarmist Qabi movement from the ground up, in the face of increased opposition, was a daunting task, one that no one in the room took lightly. Despite some of the best intelligence service operations in Beruiti assisting him, the Beruiti Office was unable to prevent certain things from happening. That included Stasnov bombing two supply depots, and the residence of a NPA informant. That was coupled with the airstrike by Stelandia on the warehouse, where the NPA lost half of its new shipment of MANPADs and multiple NPA operators.

Luckily, Shazhad and the other half of the MANPADs escaped unscathed, but the material damage was a setback, to be sure. The airstrikes on the supply depots were minor setbacks, since the depots weren't really brimming with equipment. The bombing of the NPA informant hit Bahman hard, personally. He knew that man. He had a wife, and three children. It was a shame that he had to go that way. But Bahman was determined not to give in, not to give up. He fought and sweated and bled for this. So many had already sacrificed their comfort, their security, some their lives, for this movement. A movement that was beyond them. But he sometimes doubted himself. General Bahman looked up at his "cabinet", so to speak.

"Men, what is the status report?"

Vahid Baraz, who was in charge of recruiting for a section in northeastern Beruiti, said "northeastern Beruiti is ripe with fresh recruits. Just today we found a dozen new recruits."

"Good," replied Bahman. "Although the material loss to the airstrikes are quite a setback, I assume?"

"Yes sir," said regional commander Dariush Amir. "We still have enough small arms to continue our operations, but ammunition is fairly low. From my subordinates estimates, we can only last for another two weeks on our stocks."

Bahman looked over to one of the GAIG agents.

"What can your people do to supply us?"

The agent responded directly.

"A shipment through Qajan ports will arrive in a couple days. We can probably then distribute these supplies to your depots in a couple days after that."

"That sounds good. Any other reports?"

No one responded.

"Then that concludes the meeting. Good evening."

One by one the group silently filed out of the room, which left Bahman and Shazhad alone.

"Shazhad, they killed Omid," stated Bahman solemnly.

"I know, it is a shame."

"He and I graduated from Rhodes together. I knew him personally. He had a lovely wife, and three beautiful children."

Shazhad nodded.

Bahman added, "have you ever doubted what we are doing Shazhad? Have you ever wondered if this was worth all the sacrifice?"

Shazhad paused, before answering.

"Sir--sometimes it is best to remember that what we are fighting is nothing that we want our descendants to live in. We must remember that the sacrifice now is worth having our grandchildren, and our great grandchildren, and our great great grandchildren not living under the thumb of communism. We must always keep that in mind, sir."

Bahman nodded in agreement.

"Thank you for your encouragement. Good night Shazhad."

"Good night sir."

GRS-CMD, Kázmér Orosz
Free Beruiti Outpost, Dhira

Orosz sat in the top floor of Dhira's most central building, a three story building which was probably once a government building of some kind, his chair lay by a window overlooking the main entrance to the town, and he could see the bustling activity of a fledgling military town. Of course, this kind of activity would make the town incredibly vulnerable to enemy attack.

That was why the town of Dhira was quickly becoming increasingly fortified, landmines were placed along every entrance to the town, both Anti-Personnel and Anti-Tank, machine-gun nests, consisting of sandbags, concrete where possible, and existing stone walls. From where he was sitting, he could see rifles, machineguns and infantry Anti Tank weapons poking out of windows, waiting for an Operative to come take them should the need arise, the footpaths of the main roads littered with small sandbag emplacements with MG tripods, ranging from 14.5mm Heavy Machine Guns, to 7.92mm Light Machine-guns, and 5.56mm Squad Support weapons, all around the central building were more and more sandbag emplacements, with MG Nests, as well as ATGM missile launchers and light mortars, with a single T-55 tank sitting inactive in an old auto shop, the large sliding garage door covering it's chassis.

"Subcommandant," one of his Republican Guards saluted, "Sergent-Major Zayeem wishes to see you, he is inspecting the perimeter bunkers."

Orosz nodded, and stood from his chair overlooking the town, "Hold the fort here Lance Caporal, if somebody asks for me, say I'll be back soon. What is your name, by the way?"

"Alexandru Szabó, I just arrived from Port Adrian," he replied.

"Nice, the trip from Qajan to here is a damnably hard one, you got through alright?" Orosz asked.

"Yes, sir."

Orosz nodded, and patted the Lance Corporal on the back, "Pentru Patria, Camarad," he said before leaving him. The perimeter bunkers had been set up from a large tunnel complex beneath the town, where most of the troops waited, huddled together, just in case a sudden artillery bombardment or air strike threatened to blast through the town. The Subcommandant even had an impromptu set of offices, with a working radio, plenty of light, and a modest stock of food and water. They were uncomfortable, after reaching the Central Building's cellar, he had to bend over to get into the cramped tunnel, the first few times he had walked through he bashed his head rather badly on the steel supporting struts.

The cramped tunnel soon opened up into another cellar, where Orosz could see a number of his men, with rifles lining the walls and tables. He made his way across the floor and into another tunnel, this one would lead out to the perimeter bunker system, which were just a set of small wood, sandbag and dirts bunkers and foxholes dug into the arid fields around the town, where Operatives could open fire on approaching enemies, the camouflaged bunkers providing protection and obscurity alike. He found Zayeem inspecting one of them, "Sergent-Major," said Orosz.

"Hello, Subcommandant, I wanted to see you about something, I have an idea," Zayeem turned around, holding a piece of plastic explosive in his hand.

"Kurva! Be careful with that," he swore as Zayeem brandished the explosive. "What is your idea?" he asked.

"Any advancing forces will want cover, correct? You see that log there, that stone wall there?" Zayeem asked, pointing to some features of the field around him. Orosz nodded and he continued. "We rig this C4 to the things they could use as cover, when our boys in these bunkers come under fire from them in those positions, well, I think you can figure out the rest. We got plenty of C4, its defences that we need."

Orosz looked out at the field and nodded, "Alright, you oversee it, I've got some explosives experts in the Republican Guard, I'll send them for you, they should be able to help you set these traps up."

Zayeem grinned, and tossed the C4 from one hand to another, "Liberty or Death, Subcommandant," he said.

Orosz saluted, and left Zayeem in the bunker.

Breaking: Flt. Cmdr. Alec Mac an Tuairneir MIA over Beiruiti
King vows support for Free Beiruiti

You're watching SBS-1. Interrupting this programme, the MoD has publicly announced that Alec Mac an Tuairneir, son of Earl Gospatrick of Highcastle, has been shot down over Beiruiti during a routine operation. The Flight Commander was described as one of the nation's most promising pilots and a friendly and warm person. At Anderson Air Force base today, HM King Siegfried had this to say, "To the Freedom Fighters of Free Beiruiti and to the government of Beiruiti, we will not stand while freedom is squashed, we will not stand while the people of Beiruiti are killed by an oppressive government. The Stelandic people's are united in saying that the Beiruitians will pay for this. If you're out there Alec, we will get you back home no matter what it takes."

The F15 Sea Eagle Flt. Cmdr. Turner was flying was shot down early yesterday morning by an unknown missile. Squadronmates suggested that Turner was only able to detect the missile at the last second before impact. The plane plummeted towards the ground. Turner was confirmed to have ejected, though it is unknowm whether he survived the flames, or where he has landed. War Correspondent Anthony Ahbabovic is here with more information from the SRS Irefutable destroyer. Anthony, how's the situation over in the Silurian Ocean?

"Well Don, as you can see behind me is the SRS Indomitable. For the past 2 hours I've counted over 100 take-offs and landings. The Stelandic Navy has reinforced the Second Fleet in the Silurian Ocean with 6 corvettes and 2 destroyers. Helicopters and ELINT aircraft have been reported to be a mere 30 kilometers from Beiruiti, scanning the land and trying to pick up a distress beacon from Flt. Cmdr. Turner. The seas have been quite rough lately, and air operations have been suspended for the time being. I'll keep you posted with more.

This has been Anthony for SBS News."
Stelandic Special Training Team
Aboard the SRS Indomitable, Conference Room
Cloudy | 0003 Hours

"In those envelopes you have in your possession are the orders for your mission to rescue Flt. Cmdr. Turner from falling into Beiruiti arms. Turner has crashed somewhere in Northern Beiruiti, though our network has yet to pin-point the exact location of Turner. You will be deployed by Blackhawk roughly 20 kilometers from shore. From there, you will use rubber dinghis to get to shore. The enemy are on their toes after we entered their airspace. You will be equipped with a Mk17 waterproof radio, and a months-worth of rations and water. The helicopter awaits you on deck, good luck."

The men in black skintight swimsuits streamed out of the conference room and navigated the maze of ladders up onto the flightdeck. The crew did well to keep out of their way: commandos were treated with a mix of respect and wariness. The rotors of the Blackhawk spun slowly to life, and the deck crew hung on to railings as the rotor wash pushed stray pieces of cloth and metal off-deck and into the ocean. In pitch black the carrier was only lit with runway lights and the dimly-lit red lights of the conning tower. 8 commandos would be dropped into the ocean, and they were decked out with waterproof weaponry and equipment. M4 carbines, Steyr AUGs, and a MG-3; they also carried rebreathers on their chests. Below the Blackhawk was slung a T-6 Human Torpedo, which will transport the team to shore, and then programmed to self-destruct after being abandoned. The Blackhawk took off its cargo, and flew off into the distance, away from the Second Fleet.

After two and a half hours of flight, the Blackhawk hovered at barely 10 metres above the rolling waves. The commandos jumped off the Blackhawk and into the water, masks and wetsuits on, and as the last person was out, the T-6 was jettisoned along with the commandos. The sound of the Blackhawk faded into the dark night sky, replaced with the soft splashes of men swimming in water. The 8 Men clung onto the T-6 craft as it sped along at 30 kilometers per hour towards Beiruiti. The men could only use flashlights to communicate underwater.

Staff-Sergeant Ian Patterson looked at his digital watch. He pressed a button on the side, lighting up the LED display in bright green. It was almost 4:45 AM, and the commandos had been underwater for almost two hours, searching for an isolated beachhead or river mouth where they could land away from prying eyes. He let go of the T-6 and swam to the surface, and found a secluded cove. He took the flashlight out of his shoulder pocket, and flashed it thrice. The other seven commandos let go of the T-6 and swam to shore. The T-6 would automatically explode after its batteries have died, which lasted 4 hours. By the time they were ashore and out of their wetsuits, it was 5:12 AM and the sun was just cresting the horizon. They took their weapons and equipment out of their waterproof bags, checked their supplies, and moved further inland.

They took a rest in a small defilade, and Patterson thought it would be a good idea to radio the SRS Indomitable for a sitrep. After twice trying to contact the carrier, a harried voice came through the system, "S2T2, this is Griffin-3 Actual, you have 6 aircraft available at the current moment, with ELINT reporting mild aerial activity in your area. Proceed with caution; land forces are expected to arrive within the week if gossip could be trusted. S2T2, proceed with mission as planned, Griffin-3 Actual out."

Off the Coast of Beruiti and Qajan
HMS Maslov, 2nd Fleet
22nd Fighter Squadron, 10th Fighter Regiment
19:47 hours

A KaZ-41 Klastar takes off from the HMS Maslov^

The roar of engines would be almost defining as the KaZ-41 Klastar's get ready on their catapults, the naval blue camouflage paint job glistening in the sun, the Catapult officer would lunge foward pointing and all of a sudden the first KaZ-41 would be launched at high speeds off the front of the carrier, the pilot would shove the thrust forward and pull back on his joystick and the plane would shoot up into the sky with a huge roar. This process would continue until all of 22nd Squadron was airborne, 22nd Squadron consists of 15 KaZ-41's, all equipped with the newest tech Carsodonia has to offer. All 15 KaZ-41's are equipped with AIM 120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles, and with 2,000 lbs JDAMs.

The Squadron Leader would call his squadron into formation. He would confirm that all his men are in the air and ready, The Squadron leader would be Lt. Yevgeny "Killer" Pepelyayev is one of Carsodonia's top pilot Aces, being so famous hes almost considered a celebrity in Carsodonia. Having received many medals from his times in combat. And now this new war, he plans to make himself even bigger.

He'd open communications to Command.

"Command, this is Mavrick 1-1; Proceeding to mission, Over"

"Mavrick 1-1, Command; you're cleared to proceed to the mission, Over"

"Command, roger that, this is Mavrick 1-1 out"

The fifteen fighters would take off towards their mission objective, Yevgeny would smirk beneath his helmet as he takes his position in the front, their mission is to drop their 2,000 lb JDAMs on Beruiti targets on the coast, all assets are on standbye in case the mission goes south, The Carsodonian 3rd fleet would move into position ready for anything, the destroyers readying their Tomahawk missiles to launch at any Anti Air sites the 22nd runs into.

Beruitian Archipelago, Islamic Republic of Beruiti
Rozi Military Airbase
28th Fighter Aviation Squadron, 197th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment
1948 hours

The 15 Su-30SMs of the 28th Fighter Aviation Squadron had just returned from an escort mission over mainland Beruiti, and the pilots had just left the cockpits of their aircraft. It was now the turn of the 29th Fighter Aviation Squadron, that was flying Su-35S, to take over escort duties for the next strike mission against rebel targets. The 29th Squadron's pilots were still in their barracks, relaxing before their mission. The sun had began to set, and the sky was coated with a fiery orange colour. A flight of Mi-24VP gunships had also just arrived from a combat mission and was preparing to land in the dug in helipads to the east of the main runway. Lieutenant Konenkov and his WSO, Lieutenant Lutaev had just climbed down the stairs on the side of their Su-30SM's cockpit and were walking on the tarmac. They were joking about how that Grach pilot hit an abandoned water mill, causing it to collapse on a Free Beruiti tank. Suddenly, all sound was muffled by the loud sirens of the airbase.

"Attention, attention!" a voice cracked on the loudspeakers scattered around the airport "All 28th Squadron pilots get to you aircraft. Immedeate scramble order is in effect. Bandits have been spotted. This is not a drill; i repeat, this is not a drill"

"Ay blyat" Konenkov curshed and he and Luteav turned around and started running back to their aircraft. The rest of the 28th's crews did the same.

The situation in the airbase was frantic. Fuel trucks were rolling on the tarmac like crazy, their crews hurrying up to refuel the parked aircraft, the man on the loudspeaker shoutting over his lungs, ordering everyone to clear the runway. Naval Infantrymen were also running around with full gear on, many carrying MANPADs, others manning static AA defences. Some Pantsir-S1s were abruptly activated in their dun in positions, and their radars started spinning as their combed gun-missile were raised to the air. The Hind flight about to land quickly scattered away from the airport in order to clear the airspace. The 28th had refuelled and was standing ready on the tarmc a minute or so later. Konenkov could see the 29th's pilots also exiting the barracks and running to the aircraft. Some moments after, the 28th was in the air.

Dima 2-1's Su-30SM in flight

The plan was set. The Stasnovan military command in Beruiti contacted the Srpskana and Bahtari forces. The Stasnovan 28th Fighter Aviation Squadron was to fly towards the incoming bandits from the south-east. Meanwhile the Srpskan 50th Fighter Squadron based on the mainland, was to move from the south-west. The Stasno-Srpskan aircraft would have the full support of the allied ground radars in the area, as well as a Stasnovan A-50U Beriev AWACs aircraft far behind the frontline. The S-400 batteries in the Rozi Military Airbase would also provide long-range surface-to-air missile support, while the Su-35Ss of the 29th Fighter Aviation Squadron would remain in reserve.

Meanwhile, the rear area above the coastline would be patrolled by Bahtari MiG-21 fighter-interceptors, supported by a second Stasnovan A-50U to call out threats and increase the combat awarness and detection range of the old Bahtari fighters. The Bahtari MiG-21s would also provide protection for a Srpskan Il-78ME and a Stasnovan Il-78M areial refuelling aircraft, that would provide the allied aircraft necessary fuel to continue their missions.

The Stasnovan and Srpskan aircraft would keep an edge over the Carsodonians, due to superior numbers, ground support, better information in the battlespace as well as attack from two different directions.

The Su-30SMs of the 28th Fighter Aviation Squadron approached the unidentified military aircraft, and the Srpskans should be doing the same from the south-west. The squadron leader, Major Adamov, ordered Lieutenant Konenkov to open communications and contacts the bandits. He quickly pushed some buttons on the cockpit.

"This is the Stasnovan Revolutionary Air Force to unidentified aircraft" he spoke on the comms "You are entering a restricted airspace. This is the first and only warning. Turn around and leave the area, or we will be forced to shoot you down. Out"

100 Nautical Miles from the Beruiti Coast
PLANS Moskva, Moskva-class Battlecruiser
2nd Carrier Fleet
Vice-Admiral Ivan Morozov

Image

As the fleet approached closer to the Beruiti coast, Vice-Admiral Ivan Morozov looked over to see from the vast sea and saw Beruiti over the horizon. Vice-Admiral called over a communications officer, "If I'm correct aren't we not 100 NM from Beruiti? Contact the Beruiti Coast Guard of our arrival and call for an escort to one of their ports."

"Affirmative sir," complied the communications officer. As the communications officer left to contact the coast guard, Vice-Admiral Morozov overlooked over a tactical map of Beruiti.

-Few Minutes Later-

The communications officer later approached the Vice-Admiral,"Beruiti Coast Guard has dispatched two cutters to escort us to Zaryanthia."

"Good, when we are done resupplying order the fleet to keep a distance of 7 km to prevent any attempted attacks of the terrorist of NPA & Free Beruiti.", replied the Vice-Admiral.

"Affirmative, also Captain Orlov Podolski inquired when will his air crews begin their sorties over Beruiti."

The Vice-Admiral looked towards the PLANS Stalin, "When the Beruiti government provides us the area of operations of the terrorist, but also we are awaiting orders from Varshav when to begin the air strikes."

"Affirmative sir, lastly Colonel Iskander Federov asked if the marines to be disembarked once we get to port."

"Tell Colonel Federov that they could, but they may risk squabbling with the locals. So its at their discretion to leave their transports."

"Very well sir." replied the communications officer as he left to relay the Vice-Admiral's orders. The fleet continued on its course to rendezvous with the Beruiti Coast Guard to be escorted to Zaryanthia.

"The modern revisionists and reactionaries call us Stalinists, thinking that they insult us and, in fact, that is what they have in mind. But, on the contrary, they glorify us with this epithet; it is an honor for us to be Stalinists for while we maintain such a stand the enemy cannot and will never force us to our knees.."

SRS Narwhal Submarine
300km West of Acronius, Silurian Ocean
Overcast | 0933 Hours

"Beruiti cargo vessel! 6300 metres heading NNE. Roughly 15 knots, must've just left port. He's heading out in a hurry, eh? Sound the alarm, crews to general quarters. High alert!" the Captain looked at his charts and GPS, the cargo vessel was marked with an X, and slowly he plucked in the exact details of the ship into the Torpedo targeting computer. Satisfied that the torpedoes would be locked onto the cargo vessel, he looked at his wristwatch; 9:41 AM. Crewmen were streaming in and out of the command centre getting to their positions.

Just recently 23 of Stelandia's submarines were released into the ocean to hunt Beruiti shipping in international waters. One of them was the SRS Narwhal, a new Nuclear-powered attack submarine, the pride of the submarine fleet. At the helm was Cpt. Wes Grant, a submarine captain with 6 years under his belt. The Narwhal and its sisters were armed with six 556mm torpedo tubes, and 14 missile tubes to the aft of the conning tower. As was submarine tradition in the Stelandic Navy, the submarines were painted with Blue and Black of the Stelandic Navy ensign. The sound-powred phone came to life, "Captain, torpedoes have been calibrated and are locked onto the vessel. Proceeding with flooding chambers."

"Fire tubes 1 thru 3, save the other 3. Estimated time to impact: 2 and a half minutes. All crew remain vigilant, officers to command centre immediately. Victor-Papa 3 prepare to transmit message to High Command of engagement. Dive boat to 110 metres. Captain out." He placed the phone back on the desk, and looked at his wristwatch as the torpedoes glided through the water towards the unknowing freighter. 7, 6, 5, 4... the explosion ripped through the water like a sledgehammer against wood. The frieghter had been snapped right in half by the first torpedo, the second had missed while the third detonated the fuel at the aft of the ship. The ship was no more; the crew of the boat would not have survived the initial explosion. Its cargo containers plummeted into the water as the cloud of debris and water dissipated. The segments of the boat sank under the ocean waves in less than an hour. Groaning metal as it sank under the waves, the cargo going down with the ship aswell.
1001 Air-Mobile Division
Cape Basilisk Air Force Base, Stelandia
Downpour | 1107 Hours

"Black Rook to A3. Checkmate, you lose. Again." said a young corporal, smirking at his friend for another round of bad bets.

"I hate this bloody game, why would you waste your time on these pieces of wood?" the man stood up off his bed, threw a wad of Stirling Notes onto the floor, grabbed his trench coat and walked out of the barracks. The rain had left the ground muddy, and his boots became plastered in soggy muck as he moved across thr courtyard to the recreation hall. He stood outside the door of the recreation hall, under zinc sheets that covered the patio. There were a few other people sitting idlely with him, smoking or watching SBS-2s All-laughs Thursday on TV, interrupted by static from the faulty aerial and dodgy weather. Through large glass windows he could see men playing badminton and tennis indoors, working away the hours of mundane drill of camp life.

That morning the entire 1001 Air-mobile had been called up for practice jumps: freak weather had seen to that. With the day's activities cancelled, the 1001 were milling about in their bunks or the canteen. Private First Class Charlie Sutharlainn was one of those who signed up for action. With schoolastic difficulties during his years in College, he went against the will of his father and had signed on as a Grunt in the army. In 2015, he unknowingly volunteered to join the paratroopers of 1001. Earning his paratrooper's "ticket", he was assigned to the 2nd Battalion of 1001's 1st Airborne Regiment as a machine-gunner's assistant. His machine-gunner was Corporal Timothy Dunbar, a man in his early 30's who beat Charlie at chess multiple times and carried the feroicious M-1290-2 machine gun, a further development on the MG3 machine gun. It loosed 1300 rounds a minute, firing 7.62 rounds at over 500 metres a second. The rate of fire means that men, like Charlie, have to lug around 5 cases of 300-round belts, along with their regular gear.

26 minutes later, a black cab rolled into base, in it the Base Commandant, Lt. Gen. Jacob Ulrich. Charlie quickly snuffed out his cigarette under his foot, and stiffened as the Lt. General walked past him and into the recreation hall. The public announcement system turned on, and the General's coarse voice rang through the speakers, "Assemble the 1001 in the courtyard, number 4. General on parade. You have 20 minutes to get ready. Rifles will be inspected, that is all."

Charlie rushed back to his barracks, number 17. Inside the bunks were crowded with men trying to tie their laces and wiping their weapons frantically. Charlie pulled out a box and took out his uniform and boots, already neatly packed and folded. Donning his clothes and clutching his rifle, he grabbed his helmet off the coathanger and shuffled his way to the courtyard, trying to keep the mud out of his gun. Slowly the men assembled in line in the courtyard. Rainwater dripping off their helmets and soaking them wet from head to toe. The platoon commanders ensured that each man's rifle was clear and that their uniforms were in check. Still in the drenching rain, the General read calmly the orders he had received from High Command, "The 1001 Air-mobile will deploy to Beruiti to aid the Free Beruiti movement. The 1002 and 1003 Air-mobile will be deployed when seen fit, but currently the Stelandic government believes that the presence of foreign boots on the ground in Beruiti will persuade the Beruiti government to broker peace with the rebels. The exact details of the operation will be informed later."

Meanwhile in the hangars, howitzers, jeeps and tanks were loaded aboard the aircraft: C130 Hercules, C-5 Galaxies. While waiting for the rain to subside, the men gathered in the main terminal of the airfield: the rain isn't expected to subside till morning tommorow. The 1001 will redeploy to Qajan.

RSAF Vukan LJV-34S of the 50th Fighter Squadron, in flight minutes after take off

It was a hot and sunny day, the pilots of the 50th Fighter Squadron of the Republika Srpska Air Force were catching a break in their quarters. They were either talking with each other or playing a game of cards, but all this stopped, once the alarm was turned on, all of the pilots immediately responded and ran to get into their flight suits. A message could have been heard "All pilots of the 50th Fighter Squadron, get to your stationary aircraft immediately! I repeat, all pilots of the 50th Fighter Squadron, get to your aircraft immediately! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! I REPEAT, THIS IS NOT A DRILL!"

Senior Commissioned Officer, Dragan Blagojević, leader of the 50th Fighter Squadron, War Veteran from the Srpskan-Cydonian War and the Srpskan-Oskorevan War, was the first one to respond to the message. His squadron pilots got into their flight suits as quickly as possible, and start running as fast as they could towards their aircraft.

13 Vukan LJV-34 aircraft (specifically the LJV-34S variant) were fueled up and ready to go, only 5 of the aircraft are still undergoing preparations. After a few minutes of waiting for the rest of the aircraft to be fueled up, all of them have lined up on the taxiway, from the looks of it, it can literally be told that this is first mission in Beruiti is very important and serious. Leader of the 50th Fighter Squadron, Senior Commissioned Officer Dragan Blagojević, the first on the taxiway, all prepared for the combat mission, split all 18 pilots into 6 groups, each containing 3 aircraft.

The group formation:
  • Group I
    - General (OF-9) Dragan Blagojević [SQUADRON AND GROUP LEADER]
    - Airman (OR-1) Vladimir Jović
    - Airman (OR-1) Goran Tadić
  • Group II
    - Airman (OR-1) Jovan Marković
    - Corporal (OR-3) Darko Knežević
    - Second Lieutenant (OF-1A) Branko Josipović [GROUP LEADER]
  • Group III
    - Airman First Class (OR-2) Petar Dimitrović
    - Ensign 1st Class (OR-9) Tihomir Ludenović
    - Lieutenant Colonel (OF-4) Josip Nemanjić [GROUP LEADER]
  • Group IV
    - Junior Sergeant (OR-4) Milan Mikić
    - Airman First Class (OR-2) Vedran Tojić
    - Major (OF-3) Kristijan Živanac [GROUP LEADER]
  • Group V
    - Airman (OR-1) Boris Radović
    - Staff Sergeant (OR-6) Stanoje Torčević
    - Captain (OF-2) Ljubomir Filipović [GROUP LEADER]
  • Group VI
    - Ensign (OR-8) Stanoje Kablar
    - Sergeant (OR-5) Spasoje Bijanić
    - Lieutenant (OF-1B) Teodor Zakonović [GROUP LEADER]

Following the group formation order, Group I will be the first to taxi to the runway. Squadron Leader, and Group I leader, Dragan Blagojević, Senior Commissioned Officer (General) joins into the Air Control Tower radio communication line, asking the ATC "Group I of the 50th Fighter Squadron RSAF to Air Control Tower, asking for permission to taxi to the runway." The aircraft engine was already running, and after a few seconds, the ATC responded, "Air Control Tower to Group I of the 50th Fighter Squadron RSAF, your request for permission to taxi to the runway has been granted." Group I Vukan LJV-34S aircraft could be seen slowly moving on the yellow taxi line. A ground crew member with his glowsticks was indicating the way the aircraft have to taxi. After some time, Group I of the 50th Fighter Squadron RSAF made it to the first runway, forming in a triple line.

It is believed that Group IV, V and VI will have to wait for Group I, II and III aircraft to take off before they taxi to the runway. Group II leader of the 50th Fighter Squadron RSAF, Lieutenant Teodor Zakonović, asks the Air Control Tower "This is Group II of the 50th Fighter Squadron RSAF, requesting permission to taxi to the runway." The ATC responded "Air Control Tower to Group II of the 50th Fighter Squadron RSAF, you have clear permission to taxi to the runway." Group II leader responds with "Alright, Air Control Tower. Boys! Let's get moving!" he slowly starts to taxi on the yellow taxi line towards the second runway.

The next 50th Fighter Squadron RSAF group, Group III, was given permission to taxi to the third runway. Unexpectedly, another runway was clear, and so Group IV had the chance to get in formation on the fourth runway. Before they did that, Group IV leader, Captain Kristijan Živanac, nearly forgot to ask for permission, risking his piloting license and career. He immediately stopped the Vukan LJV-34S aircraft and asked the Air Control Tower for taxi permission to the runway. His request has been granted, and therefore he slowly started taxing to the fourth runway, followed by his two other group pilots.

The 14th Aerial Refueling Squadron of the Republika Srpska Air Force on other half of the Rozi Military Airbase, are undergoing a checkup on the Ilyushin Il-78ME aerial refueling aircraft. The 14th Aerial Refueling Squadron RSAF is to be escorted and protected by Bahtari Territorial Air Force Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21s, but before that, the aircraft have to undergo a checkup due to security measures. Once the checkup is done, the aircraft, one by one, will taxi to three runways and then prepare to take off.

The Group IV Vukan LJV-34S aircraft have formed on the runway, waiting for permission to take off. All four groups are prepared to take off, the squadron leader will ask for permission to take off for all the four groups, due to the lack of time. "50th Fighter Squadron of the Republika Srpska Air Force to Air Control Tower, all four groups have formed on the runway, we are all requesting permission to take off. Respond as soon as possible." The Air Control Tower after they received the message responded to the Squadron Leader's request "Air Control Tower to the 50th Fighter Squadron RSAF, permission to take off granted. Hurry up, we wish you the best of luck out there! Over." The pilots have started increasing speed and are prior take off. "HERE WE GO, BOYS! LET'S SHOW THOSE BASTARDS WHO RULES THE SKIES HERE!" shouted Squadron Leader General Dragan Blagojević.

Before the rest of the groups asked for permission to taxi to the runway, the Air Control Tower immediately sent them a message "Group V and VI. You have permission to taxi to the runway, hurry up and get there as soon as possible!" The two groups started taxing to the runway at the actual taxiway speed limit. After a certain amount of time, they lined up on the runway and asked for permission to take off. The ATC granted them permission, and they took off as fast as possible to catch up with the rest of the Squadron.

Soon after the take off the entire 50th Fighter Squadron, the 14th Aerial Refueling Squadron RSAF Ilyushin Il-78ME aircraft have undergone a checkup, and are clear to go. One by one, and as fast as they can go on a taxiway, they managed to get on all three runways in time before take off. Once they took off, protection will be given by Bahtari Territorial Air Force Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 aircraft.

The 50th Fighter Squadron according to the Stasnovan plan will be heading southwest. The 14th Aerial Refueling Squadron that contains 3 Ilyushin Il-78ME, in cooperation with the Stasnovan Ilyushin Il-78M aircraft will provide the necessary fuel needed for the combat aircraft in this mission, while a Stasnovan Beriev A-50U will provide airborne early warning and control reports to the fighter squadrons in flight.

Gorbatov authorizes strikes against the terrorist in Beruiti
Premier Alexei Kozlov announces that coordination is key between government forces & VasPac forces.

Premier Alexei Kozlov annouced the authorization during a GCP meeting in the building of the Supreme Proletariat.

As news reached Varshav that the 2nd Carrier Fleet led by Vice-Admiral Ivan Morozov arrived in Beruiti yesterday. Premier Alexei Kozlov announced that they are now authorized to strike terrorist targets in Beruiti. Additionally he stated that the only way to be successful in this war is cooperation. He stressed that the Beruiti forces coordinate with the air forces of VasPac in order to maximize the retaking of land from the terrorist. He also added the point that if they were to coordinate, it would prevent any friendly fire that occurs between the Beruiti and the VasPac.

He later added that if the government of Beruiti is willing, they would allow Gorbatov to deploy regular forces on Beruiti to further help their war effort against the NPA & Free Beruiti.

The fleet was located 7km away from the beaches of the vast capital city of Beruiti, Vice-Admiral Morozov was enjoying a small glass of Vodka whilst overlooking a map of Beruiti in his cabin. A communications officer enters his cabin holding the new orders from Varshav, "Sir, I have urgent orders from Varshav."

The Vice-Admiral seemed annoyed to the officer,"Officer, haven't you heard of knocking? Hmph...very well give it here."

The communications officer handed him the orders,"Sorry sir, but its urgent."

"Very well," replied the Vice-Admiral as he was overlooking the orders.

Somewhere in the Fale Ocean, Taskforce Twenty, Greater Allidron Naval Arms

The NAS Gorinka was the lead ship of Taskforce Twenty. It was a Misyats' Class Destroyer, one of the older Naval Arms air defense destroyers. TaskForce Captain Taras Mykhaylo was in charge of ensuring an uninterrupted journey to Qajan. His Taskforce was ordered on strict radio silence, utilizing only passive sonar systems. His Taskforce was maintaining as quiet a silhouette as possible to allow for an easy deployment, one not fraught with any encounters with Gorbatov or Stasnov. TaskForce Captain Mykhaylo was sure of his forces capabilities to defend themselves, however, one mistake could lead to his entire taskforce being sent to the bottom of the ocean. Exceptions being made for the missile sub, of course.

It would be another five days before the ships arrived. Meanwhile, he would plan out patrol routes along Qajan, deployment procedures, and review the latest intelligence collected from the venerable IG about VasPac/Beruitian movements. The missile sub would sit off shore, patrolling far out. Its land attack cruise missiles could strike targets well into Beruiti. The frigates and destroyers would act as sea control units, patrolling and monitoring sea areas around Qajan. Finally, the Druk Class attack submarine would provide advanced sub surface protection from any nutters. Mykhaylo just hoped that the ones higher up knew what they were doing, the last thing he wanted to do is get caught in a naval engagement outnumbered with VasPac fleets chasing his rear across Atlas.

Allidron WarCom, Kevedsta

Gogorov sat down and sipped a cup of hot chai, while looking down at Director of Intelligence Oleksander Maksym and Chief of the Joint Staff Maxim Leonid, along with the usual council members. The WarCom room was a lit with LED screens, and abuzz with aides shuffling about.

"Maksym, I heard you have news on developments in Beruiti?"

"Not necessarily developments, but gains sir. As you may know, the IG has deployed operators into Beruiti and Qajan, rebuilding the old Beruiti Office into a fine network of informants, moles, agents, and suppliers. Our ELINT capabilities, including monitoring communications and satellite photography have always been sufficient, but our HUMINT has always lacked in Alfashir. Not anymore. The Beruiti Office now boasts a network of over sixty some IG operators, along with a plethora of contacts and informants. Not to mention the Alfashir Network, which has a dedicated staff of over two hundred. This extensive buildup of HUMINT in Beruiti has not only allowed us to supply the NPA with modern armaments, but collect information on the actions of VasPac and Beruitian movements."

"What about current military assets? Leonid?"

Maxim Leonid straightened his tie, before speaking. "Marshall Gogorov, we will by this Tuesday have Taskforce Twenty deployed in the Silurian Ocean to conduct routine patrols along the Qajani coastline. We also are deploying in a couple days some aerial assets, including Yastrub 4 fighters. Our analysis indicates this would be enough to temporarily keep Beruiti from carrying out any rash actions against the buildup in Qajan."

"Good. I would like to see a update on the Theatre of Operations after I get back from my visit to Alonskov. That is all gentlemen."

Islamic Republic of Beruiti
4th Fighter Squadron

The Bahtari pilots were on break, talking and playing games with each other in their barracks. Captain Shah was talking to his fellow airmen about their deployment in Beruiti. Suddenly, the loudspeakers on their barracks boomed to life. "Attention all units, you have orders to immediately get to your aircrafts for immediate deployment to patrol the Beruiti coast!" Pilots rushed around to get into their Mig-21s. Shah and his friends ran from the barracks and hastily got into their aircraft. Bahtari aircraft were usually prepared beforehand and were usually kept on constant alert. Their mission would be to help Srpskan and Stasnovan air units to defend the coastline and strictly enforce the no-fly zone, and escort Srpskan aircraft.

One by one, the Migs turned on and started taxing towards the runway. The Bahtari planes each went onto the runway and took off. Not long after, the entire 4th Squadron was already in the air, heading to escort the Srpskan aircraft and patrol the coastal areas of Beruiti from foreign threats. They were approaching the Srpskan aircraft and entered a V-formation around them to protect them from any terrorist or enemy aircrafts.

Together, they soared towards the Beruiti coast with a mission of protecting the solverginity of Beruiti from supporters of the vile terrorist group, Free Beruiti. The Mig-21s were very old, but the best aircraft the Bahtari Air Force has. It was at least better than a La-11 or An-2 with some weaponry strapped to it. Mig-21s were supersonic and extremely fast. Equipped with a GSh-23 cannon and K-13 missles, this thing was ready to blast anything that comes at it right out of the air.

There were reports of unidentifiable aircraft within Beruiti's no fly zone, which was one of the causes of this rapid deployment. The fourty eight aircraft proceeded to the Beruiti coast. Meanwhile in the sea, four old Gveny-class destroyers, a Sang-o-Class submarine and two Osa-class missile boats were at sea and were steaming towards the Beruitian waters to patrol the seas from any naval threats. They had just set sail from Fula Naval Base not long ago.

Admiral Jamal Abdelaziz was on board one of the Gveny-class destroyers as they steamed towards the Beruitian waters. Due to the close proximity of Bahtar and Beruitian waters, it would not take long to get there. The fleet would contribute to the coastal defense of Beruiti along with the Bahtari aircraft that were assigned to coastal patrol.

The fleet steamed towards Beruitian waters, poised to completely destroy any enemy ship that tried to stand up against them...

KaZ-41 Klastars engaging Stasnovian SU-30SM's

Lt. Yevgeny would be watching his radar and checking his systems when dots begin showing up on his Irbis-E, he would then get onto his radio and radio the Squadron.

"Squadron, This is Gold Leader, 15 bogies inbound from the East, Over"

The Squadron would rock their jets side to side signaling they got the message and see the enemy bogies, Lt. Yevgeny would then get the message from the Stasnovians, it would bring a smirk to his face. He has always wanted to go against the Stasnovians and pilots of equal caliber, But the KaZ-41 is superior then most enemy jets having a quicker rate of climb and better tech, along with better maneuverability with its vectoring turbofan engines. Gold leader would then get on the radio once more and say one simple word in Carsodonian.

"Перерыв...*

All of a sudden all 15 jets would split apart, they would look through their display HUDs on their visors, one of the perks of the KaZ-41 is that the jet does not have to be pointed at an enemy jet to lock on and fire missiles, it can all be done with the helmet HUD of the pilot. Giving the Pilot more of a chance in fights, All 15 KaZ-41's would lock onto the Stasnovian jets and would fire 2 AIM-120D at their targets, the missiles using their active transmit-receive radar guidance to find the targets. Since the missiles are a fire and forget missile once each jet fired their 2 they would pull back on their throttles and would push the throttle full, the twin vectoring engines bending a little more up as they start screaming and forcing them up at an incredible speed and would be climbing at a rate of 280 m/s.

He'd open communications to Command.

"Command, this is Mavrick 1-1; We have enemy contact, Over"

"Mavrick 1-1, Command; Hold as long as you can until backup can arrive, Over"

"Command, roger that, this is Mavrick 1-1 out"

The 3rd Fleet would then begin pushing a bit more into Beruiti waters, AWACs in the sky keeping an eye out for the fleet, including a couple KaZ-41's for Air Security, On the HMS Maslov, the alarms would be blaring as the message of enemy contact was received, pilots would be running to their jets as 4 more KaZ-41 Klastars load onto the catapults, having been on high alert the jets had already gone through their routine check ups and are ready to go, the jets would nod to the Catapult officer who would lunge and point, each jet would be launched off the carrier armed with all Anti-Air missiles and the 4 would now be heading towards 22nd Fighter Squadron's location.

Berulines Cargo Transport, Arconian EEZ
Earlier that day; 0933, 26 of May

Emily had been smoking a cigarette, leaning on the side of the ship, with the wind in her face. It blew back her red hair. Emily never really considered anything about the Civil War. It didn't concern her. It stayed in her head but the stress of it was not important. All she needed to do was defend her family from anyone who dare took them. Her son decided to make a guest appearance with her on the ship. Lil' Timmy, everyone called him, who was only 9. She looked down to see him tugging down at her pants. She was dressed as one of the ship crew members, and acted like on fairly decent. She was still trying to figure her way around the ship. Timmy was also dressed up as a miniature crew member, even having a replica of the captain's hat.

"What is it Timmy?" Emily said, bent down on one knee and resting her arm on it. She looked at him in a worried expression, She wondered what was happening. Her heart became somewhat dark. It felt like it was somewhere else.

"Mommy, they wanted to see you up near the, uhh, what it called? The bridge?" Timmy said in a confused manner.

"Ah, I'm sure I know what they want. I'll be right back Timmy. Why don't you go talk to Yunus? I gave him a little treat to give to you." Emily said in the calmest manner she could. She knew she couldn't calm down. Something wasn't right.

She made her way up the bridge, using the outside stairs. In her way there, she saw something. A ship, of some sort. She wondered who it belonged to. She thought it couldn't be anyone but Acronian ships. She was born in Balehas, and was one of the few on the ship that could speak French fluently. But either way she wondered who it could be. It definitely didn't look to belong to Acronian ships, nor did it looked to be a civilian ship. She went with the assumption that was simply military exercises of Acronius, but something in her gut just didn't sit right with her. But she shrugged it off and went up to the bridge.

She entered the room, pained a beige bleak color with a stripe of red going around the room. She was greeted by the look of the Captain's back.

"Hello there Captain. Lil' Timmy said I was needed up here." Emily said. The Captain turned his head and started walking towards her.

"Hello there Emily. How's Lil' Timmy? Is he doing alright?" The Captain asked in a raspy voice. The Captain might have been a old man, but he wasn't strict. He was only a respectable man.

"He's doing fine, the little rascal. He said I was needed up here for something. I assume you needed me?" Emily responded.

"Yes, I asked you to come up here because we need to start organizing the cargo loads. Once we're done with that, we can bring out our alcohol and start partying like there's no tomorrow!" The Captain said, with a certain glee in his voice.

"Y-Yes, of course sir." Emily responded. The nervousness trembled within her. The ship's crew members were gleeful of this, they wanted to get off the ship. They hadn't trite of it, they had ways of keeping themselves occupied, but playing cards was getting quite trite.

Emily went down the stairs, and looked at the ships again. She got a closer look at them. They weren't Acronian ships, and that's all she knew. Her heart started to pound like a drum. She started to feel a chill feel up her spine. Nervousness, it was.

She didn't even make it down the stairs before the Captain started to scream. Emily was strartled, but after regaining what she had left of her calm, she ask what was wrong.

The captain could barely speak before yelling more, until he finally yelled it out.

"Stelandia! Stelandia! They're coming for us! Those aren't Acronian ships, those are Stelandic! And they're here to take us out!"

At this point, what calm manners Emily had were gone, she was in total panick mode. She ran down the stairs, before feeling the shake of the ship. Nothing had happened yet. She saw her son in the distance, talking with Yunus, as if everything was fine. She started running towards him, but before she could reach him, the rock of the missle had hit the boat. What distance between her and Timmy was widened. The ship snapped in two, and people started falling off the ship. She couldn't reach Timmy in time to save him.

Her heart was pounding, and she almost tried to jump. Timmy held onto Yunus as tight as he could, before another explosion rocked the ship, at the aft of the ship. Before she could react, she was pulled away into the cold sea, along with the Captain and several other crew members. She tried as best as she could to reach the top, but couldn't. The last of her breath escaped her, and soon the ship was no more. What she left to was, "Timmy, no!" as her last words. What was left of the ship was no more. Not one survived.

South Eastern wing of Zaryanthian Dome, Zaryanthia, Islamic Republic of Beruiti
11:01 PM, 26 of May

The Dome was a lit. All of Zaryanthia was, as a matter of fact. It had been the resounding effect of Hayat Sindi and her influence on the people. She alone had swayed the populace to follow her, to ask her to lead them. She had become part of the people. The Zaryanthian Dome, in the middle of the night, while other people were talking, out in the streets, the city was abuzz with activity. The island had been vibrant. The Zaryanthian Dome had become a center for the resonating sound of the government's bickering. Despite it being late, the National Committee of Security had been called in. They had urgent business to take care of concerning the war. In the center stood three podiums, wooden and tinted with brown, surrounded by an array of National Committee Generals, neatly compiled into rows centered around the podium. Madani Nasir Nassar sat at the center podium, flanked by Hayta Sindi and Thaddeus Ridayh. He had, for the most part, let Hayta handle this, but with the involvement of other nations, he knew this was no longer a civil war.

After hearing of the sinking of the civilian vessel near Acronius and inside Acronius's EEZ, it had become a huge uproar against Free Beruiti and their allies. Who had destroyed the Beruiti Vessel was not known to, however the National Committee of Security was quick to blame Free Beruiti and their allies. They had suspected Grozav Inima, the country that was most involved within this operation, but the National Committee was unsure of what to do. They couldn't do anything at this rate, they simply had to take another stab against Free Beruiti. The whole war devolved into stabbing back and forth between the two. Another two stabs were to be taken at Free Beruiti.

The war had not loomed anywhere to an end, neither the commotion, however they knew to look to Beruiti's allies in this war, rather than her enemies.

"Everyone! Quiet down! We will stop this pathetic squabble later! We might have lost a few good people but we must settle down, now! Madani bellowed with his voice into the microphone on the podium. "Now, if you will, our Executive President, Hayta Sindi, must speak about a few important actions that we will be taking these next few weeks. I will not ask you to pay attention." Madani said. The council went from being loud, to a silent as a child, and Hayta rose from her chair. She cleared her throat, and started to speak.

"Fellow people of Beruiti! There is a plague in our country, a plague that continues to jab into our hearts, a knife that tries to plunge itself but fails each and every time. That plague, is Free Beruiti!" Hayta yelled. The council started to roar in excitement. The blood of men could not be quelled. It was almost unstoppable. It was simply amazing.

"We have gather intelligence from runaway villagers from the city of Dhira, not too far from the city of Rozi. I'm sure none of you have forgotten Rozi, and I'm sure you will not forget! We have learned the whereabouts of a Free Beruiti outpost, located in Dhira. We need to strike, and strike as quickly as possible. A city that close harboring scum and villainy, genocidal soldiers and future killers, by my grave I shall not let it continue!" Hayta yelled into the Committee. The National Committee, trying to keep its calm, failed to, and started to cheer her. They were almost barbaric.

"We must take this settlement out, by any means necessary. No doubt there will be the poor soldiers of Free Beruiti. They might seem like a little pest, but we must remember that Grozav Inima has most likely have placed their chess pieces there to keep their grip on our archipelago. But we cannot allow for that! We must strike!" Hayta yelled. The Committee started to go in a disarray, however with the help of security and Madani, order was kept.

"Now, my fellow Committee members, we must formulate a plan in order to destroy this outpost. Me, and five other Committee members shall travel to Rozi through boat, and once there we will formulate a plan. And remember my people, We are the Eternal Beacons of Light!"

The Committee was somewhat disorderly, but was still calm. Hayta cleared her throat as if she had not yelled, as if everything was before she made her speech, and sat back down. She however, continued to speak, calling up five National Committee members.

"Sean Galliger, Aslan Daftari, Shanaei Al-Dhira, Haymeba Asyan, and Raij Al-Rozenia. Please step foward. You five and me have been assigned to be the delegation that is to head to Rozi in order to coordinate a military strike on any surronding enemy ships and aircraft. We are also heading to Rozi in order to speak with military commanders and foreign supporters of the amounting enemy forces in Qajan. If need be, an authorization of an attack on Qajan may have to come in order. But we must not hasten thing. Now, we must leave to the Central Zaryanthian Port. Please, if you'll follow me." Hayta said. She and the other delegates stood up. She took her red bag and heaved it over her shoulder, and with the other delegates, walked out of the dome.

Madani, in the mean time, with the rest of the National Committee of Security, along with Thaddeus Ridayh, had continue to deliberate on issues. They still needed to wonder what they would do with the Stelandian Crime against Beruitian Civilians, and the Sde Dovian offer to Beruiti.

"Now, that the issue of what Hayta brung up has been deliberated, we must continue discussing two more topics." Madani said. Before Madani could say something else, Thaddeus interrupted him.

"Fellow Committee Members, we have a chance at ending this whole scourage of democracy, this continued knife that's being plunged into our backs, and we have ways of doing it. We must start deliberating on the possible creation of a intelligence organization, if you will. This organization will be the moles and rats of Free Beruiti and the Democratic People's Republic of Beruiti, if you can even say that without the words stabbing your tongue midprocess." Thaddeus said into the microphone.

"Thaddeus, while I appriciate the suggestion, we must get back to deliberating the current topics. After Hayta reports into Rozi, we can bring up establishing an Intelligence organization, but for now, we cannot. Our hands are tied as it is." Madani said in a suave manner. It brung back memories of the Communist Revolution to Thaddeus. It almost seemed to enrage him.

"Well, I suppose so. But if I can, I'd like to start discussion on Sde Dov offert of a peace meeting between us and the scabs of 'Free' Beruiti. I'd like to personally volunteer, with several other people from not only the National Committee of Security but also the Guardian's Council and the House of Islamic Senators in order to delegate the Islamic Republic." Thaddeus spoke up.

"While I personally object to sending you to Sde Dov, as security is already tight as it is and we're pinned down as it is, I ask that the Committee, the Parliament, and the Council deliberate on sending their representatives in order to delegate Beruiti. It will take a bit of time, but hopefully not too much Thaddeus." Madani said calmly, his hands folded on the podium upright. He looked at the Committee once more, and simply said rasply into the microphone.

"Another proposition to the National Committee of Security from Thaddeus Ridayh, I'm sure you all know and heard of, I'd like to know if any objections would be suited. If otherwise, I'd like to know if anyone would like to, ahem, volunteer to accompany Thaddeus on delegating Beruiti." Madani said into the microphone.

6 hands raised into the air, and they went back down as the people who raised them walked out of the rows and up came several people. The National Council then deliberated as to who shall go. Out of the 6 representitives, only 2 went with Thaddeus, in order to keep a balance.

The crickets were chirping. It was an oddly quiet day. Hayta had left Madani back at the Zaryanthian Dome to continue the assembly with the National Committee of Security. The night was cold, especially near the pier. She held onto her bag, filled with information of her, some money, a pack of gum, and important documents, while the other five members waited patiently. She held herself tight, trying to warm herself up. The night was brutally cold.

A noise could be heard in the distance. While not being very able to see, she tried to spot in the distance what was making that noise. It was someone's yelling. She then heard a horn. A sort of honking. It was a white ship heading towards them, and a flag waving in the air, with the moon piercing through it. It was the Beruiti Flag, and a green yacht pulled up. The sound of the breeze blowing on the red Beruitian flag, it somewhat soothed her. She stepped on, and was greeted by the admiral of the ship. She walked in, and went to her room. Standard room, nothing luxurious. She didn't wish for better, but after the yelling in the Dome and the affairs, she seemed to have dozen off. It would be a while, but they would reach Rozi, with a minor talk with Gorbatov.

Hayta sighed and laid onto her bed, and thought to herself where her life was going, where she was headed. This was her destiny, but she knew that Standing with the Islamic Republic was the only thing she could do. The only thing she must do. The Siege of Dhira loomed on, something she would personally command from the back lines. She was no soldier, but she was a leader, and one that would lead her and Beruiti. She got up, and turned off the light. She went back to lay down and whispered before she slept, "We are the Eternal Beacons of Light", and dozed off, while the yacht continued to slice through the ocean.

"Order! The deliberation of representatives has finished. Any other nominations and arguments will be ignored from this point on. Thaddeus Ridayh, Amanaullah Rahman and Abdul Kakeni have been picked as out delegators. The deliberation process has ceased. Now, we are unto one more deliberation before the Committee can meet again. We have to settle the problem of the Beruiti Cargo ship that was taken down in Acronian water, and we must deal with it swiftly. I, and I'm sure all of you, will not stand idly by while our men and women are slaughtered by Capitalist and Fascist pigs claiming to be apart of the free!" Madani yelled.

"I have a proposition for this Committee, if you will. I'd like to purpose to charge Stelandia with a possible war crime, if that's possible. Stelandia knew full ahead that it was a cargo ship and a civilian ship, and no military ship. Not one man on that ship was armed with even a speck of dust, let alone something to provoke an attack. They were the ones who attacked us. I say we make them pay for this, for we will not stand idly by while we see Capitalist Pigs and Fascist Dogs kill our people!" Thaddeus said.

"I don't know about that Thaddeus. It might be a possibility. But for now, this deliberation shall be put to a holdon. In the meantime, I'd like to poll the National Committee on the willing to charge Stelandia with the unprovoked attack on unarmed civilians in the Acronian EEZ?"

The poll was unanimous, should they be able to charge Stelandia with the crime of an unprovoked attack on unarmed civilians in foreign territory, they will.

A unprovoked attack initiated by Free Beruiti's allies, Stelandia, has reached headlines of Beruiti. A cargo ship that was commandeered by Captain Jasper Al-Rozeniya Kispar was attacked by Stelandic Naval Force. The most notable victims that were reported were Emily Roksana and Timmy Roksana, mother and son. Emily Roksana's body, along with Jasper Al-Rozeniya Kispar's body have been recovered, however Timmy Roskana's body has yet to be recovered. Reportedly, the ship did not survive the three missiles and was split by the first missile. The ship's cargo and remnants sank to the bottom. No crew members are reported to have survived.

In a recent press report, the National Committee of Security is willing to bring charges against Stelandia for committing war crimes as an unprovoked attack against unarmed civilians in a foreign EEZ.

"This is a unjust killing of our civilians, by capitalists and fascists in order to take down the Islamic Republic and what she's built to bring back the genocidal Democratic Republic." - Madani Nasir Nassar after a meeting between the National Committee of Security.

Thaddeus Ridayh has also been designated to be the head of the case should it happen and to be the lead delegate for Beruiti in Sde Dov through the hosted "peace talks". Sde Dov has remain in a neutral position however has sent humanitarian aid with permission from the National Committee of Security. Sde Dov has also volunteered to host peace talks, something the House of Islamic Senators has decided is within Beruiti's best interest.

Beruti coastline, Islamic Republic of Beruiti
Over the ocean
28th Fighter Aviation Squadron, 197th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment
2000 hours

The afterburning turbofan engines of the fifteen Su-30SMs of the Stasnovan VVS screamed as the aircraft soared through the darkening skies over the Beruitian waters. The pilots of the 28th Fightert Aviation Squadron knew their mission and how it could end up, and they had the trainning to carry it out. However, knowing the jingoistic and imperialistic nature of the Carsodonian government, plus the fact that the Carsodonian aircraft did not reply to their warnings, made them nervous. Lieutenant Konenkov could feel a drop of sweat racing down his forehead beneath his helmet. This could very well be the first time he saw combat.

"They ain't replying" his WSO, Lt. Lutaev said in the intercom.

"Yeah..." he said under his breath

"This is Dima 1-1 to all aircraft. The Carsodonians are not replying. Turn on your jammers and prepare for combat. Master arms on, i repeat, master arms on."

"You heard the Major, turn them on" Konenkov ordered Lutaev

The more experienced WSO started flipping switches and hitting buttons in his cockpit. The Khibiny Electronic Countermeasures pods on the wingtips were activated. These powerful ECM pods would mask the Sukhois against enemy missile fire, as well as delay their detection by the Carsodonian radars. Konenkov activated his weapon systems and flipped up the cover that protected the red missile button on the stick.

"Well, it appears that-" Lutaev didn't manage to finish what we was going to say "MISSILE LOCK!" he screamed on the intercomms.

His warning was followed by the Major's voice on the radio "The bandits are opening up! Assume combat pattern Beta! The Carsodonians are hostile; repeat; the Carsodonians are hostile!"

"Dima-2 flight on me!" Konenkov growlled as he pulled his aircraft to the left and launched a a mixture of chaff and flares.

The three flights of the Squadron were to split up; Dima-1, led by Major Adamov would continue flying towards the Carsodonian formation. Dima-2, led by Konenkov would break left, while Dima-3, led by Lt. Poroshenko would break right. The three Stasnovan flights were not to climb, but to keep manuevering at relatively level flight in order to avoid any attacks and break off any lock-ons.

"Dima 3-3 is down!"

"We've lost Dima 1-4!"

Konenkov heard two reports on the comms as the adrenaline made his entire body shake. The countermeasures were working; had they not turned them on, the casualties would be higher than that. There was no time to search for the downed pilots' chutes. The Stasnovan aircraft returned fire. Each Flanker launched four R-77-1 at the Carsodonians. The Stasnovans had the advnatage over the bandits because of their A-50U Beriev AWACS. The Beriev provided highly accurate targeting and ranging data to the seekers of the Stasnovan missiles, something that would dramatically improve their accuracy. The AWACS played another crucial role: its jamming systems began broadcasting various sounds into the Carsodonian frequencies to decrease their capability to communicate, as well apply spot jamming, while barrage jamming also used to counter frequency hopping.

The Stasnovan fighters flew at afterburner to get the highest performance possible out of their engines, as well as try to close the gap between them and the bandits as soon as possible, in order to get to into a dogfighting brawl. Their aircraft had equal close-range performance with the Carsodonians, barring the climb rate. When they were on a favourable angle, they would rise only to fire and then return to a defencive stance.

Konenkov heard the Major's voice on the comms "Base, this is Dima-1; the Carsodonians are engaging us over 041 061. Requesting reinforcements and ground support. Also requesting S&R at our current postions. 2 pilots and 2 WSOs, over"

"Dima-1, base; the 29th IAE is on the move and S&R will be dispatched. The 86th ZRP will be opening fire shortly, over"

"Base, Dima-1, roger that. Over and out"

The 29th Fighter Aviation Squadron, consisting of 15 Su-35s was bout 300 kilometres away from the combat area, sitting in reserve. They would now change course and fly at full to reinforce the 28th. Before entering close combat, the Super Sukhois would open fire with four their K-77Ms (each) from a range of approximately 200 km. The Su-35S were on equal footing with the Carsodonian aircraft, and combined with the Su-30SMs of the 28th, they would have a distinct numercial advantage over them.

The first real battle of the Second Beruitian Civil War for the Stasnovan forces had began.

Rozi Military Airbase
2002 hours

The siren rang once again on the airbase. Helicopters and other aircraft were steering clear from the base's immedeate airspace as the three Mi-8AMTSh helicopters of the 11th Transport Helicopter Squadron were starting up their engines. The large rotor blades started spinning, and the three helicopters took off almost simultaneously from their helipads. They started flying towards the coordinates provided to the HQ by Dima-1.

Meanwhile, the 86th Air Defence Regiment, the multiple S-400 batteries of which were scattered all around the airbase's perimetre to provide defence for the local airspace, was preparing for their first fire mission of the war. Soldiers were running around, manning their stations and pulling the camo nets of the launchers. The covers of the S-400 launchers, that towered severl metres above the ground, started opening and the missiles inside them could now be clearly seen. The accurate firing data was provided by both the Su-30SMs already engaged in combat, as well as the A-50U Beriev in the area.

Several minutes later, the S-400s started firing. The missiles were fired by a gas system from the launch tubes up to 30 meters into the air before the rocket motor ignites, which increases the the speed and propells the missile its final target. 36 pylons of smoke rose from the base, as 36 40N6 missels were fired. The missiles steered towards their targets as the reached the necessary altitudes and flew away from the airbase.

The Stasnovan Armed Forces Group in Beruiti Command also send a transmission to the 2nd Carrier Fleet of the Gorbatovic Proletarian Liberation Navy, which was patrolling the waters of the Islamic Republic of Beruiti.

SDS 9th of August
First Fleet, Sde Dovian Navy
Dasman Bay, 18nm south east of Al Azizyah
18:25, May 28, 2016

The Arleigh Burke-class destroyer cruised slowly through Dasman Bay. The bay was full of container ships and ferries shuttling goods and people in and out of the Port of Al Azizyah, the busiest port in all of Sde Dov. The Port of Al Azizyah was home to the 1st Fleet of the Sde Dovian Navy, the best battle group in all of the Navy. In the bridge, they were all eyes and ears, carefully maneuvering themselves to avoid colliding with any civilian vessels.

In formation with the 9th of August was another Arleigh Burke, the Al Azizyah. They were the spearheads of the fleet. Trailing behind them were two Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruisers, the Admiral Grigorev and the Ali Albaf, with one of them on each side the crown jewel of the fleet, the Earnest Thinley. The Earnest Thinley was the first of Sde Dov's two aircraft carriers, and carried a complement of F/A-18C/E/Fs, F-14Ds, E-2Cs and EA-6Bs. Ahead of the entire fleet were two Los Angeles-class submarines, scanning the waters ahead for any naval targets.

The First Fleet were to undertake a freedom of navigation mission, ensuring that all air and sea traffic passing through Beruiti and neighboring nations could pass safely. This was in response to the sinking of a cargo ship within the Acronian EEZ, an important trade route in Alfashir. Sde Dov would not take sides in this mission, as the sole purpose of this mission was to safeguard any civilian traffic that would pass through. In turn, any target that would harm civilian traffic could be shot down or sunk.

Initially, the President was reluctant to sign any order to involve the Sde Dovian military in this conflict, but when he heard the Beruiti civil freighter had been sunk by a still unknown vessel and it appeared to be a deliberate attack, his blood boiled. On the ships, the general morale of the crews were high, as they recently concluded an exercise, and this was a perfect opportunity to hone their skills. Some of the crew were quite salty that they had to be deployed at short notice, but these emotions gradually subside later on. After all this is what they signed on when they joined the Navy. As the ships sailed through the bay, most of the crew were outside, either smoking cigarettes, or taking in the sunset.

The mission served another unofficial purpose; it was to remind the region that Sde Dov was watching, and that they could intervene at any time if they needed to.

Union of Sde Dov
Druzhba Naval/Air Base
2015 hours

Image
A AVMF Tu-22M3 taking off from the Druzhba Naval/Air Base

The Druzhba Naval Base was bustling with activity, as always. Sailors, soldiers and other personnel were running and walking around, going about their daily duties. The Druzba Naval/Air Base was established after the fall of the Republic of Sde Dov and the establishment of the Union of Sde Dov was we know it today, in the 1989 Revolution, also known as the "November Spring" in the country. It wasn't a very large and imposing base, but it did its job of allowing Stasnovan submarines and aircraft to operate so far from the Stasnovan mainland up north. Thusly, it was a very important asset of Stasnovan power projection.

The Base was home to the Vishnya-class intelligence ship SRNS Azov, the Ugra-class submarine tender SRNS Efrem, four Yarost-class nuclear-powered attack submarines; the K-331, the K-332, the K-333 and the K-334, as well as a single Vaegir-class ballistic missile submarine, the K-401. The last ship was equiped with 26 R-27PL ASBM/SLBM, each carrying five or six MIRVed warheads. The destructive power the vessel had in its disposal was unparareled, and it, along with the other submarines of its class, was a precious asset for the Stasnovan Revolutionary Navy. The base was also home to several Stasnovan squadrons, which were on 4-month rotation with other units from Stasnov.

The orders had arrived. The Stasnovan force in the Druzhba base were to carry out their first combat mission in their history. Sailors and their officers started boarding their respective ships, and food and supplies were also being loaded onboard. The two runways of the base were being cleared of all vehicles and personnel, and all helicopters in the air steered clear of base's airspace. As the five Stasnovan submarines left dock and started sailling towards Beruiti, several aircraft took off from the runways; 30 VeK-29Ms, 5 VeK-29MPs, along with 15 Tu-22M3, 1 A-50U Beriev, 1 Tu-95RT and a Il-78M tanker.

International Waters
Above the ocean
4th Maratime Heavy Bomber Aviation Squadron, 42nd Guards Maratime Bomber Aviation Regiment
Some time later

The fifteen Tu-22M3 of the Stasnovan Naval Aviation soared through the skies, along with their 30-fighter escort. The single A-50U stayed behind the formation bomber formation, but it still had the Carsodonian fleet in its sights. The Stasnovan RORSAT network provided the Naval Aviation with the approximate position of the Carsodonian fleet, while the A-50U and Tu-95RT provided acccurate targeting data. Each Tu-22M3 carried 3 Kh-22M/MA for a total of 45 missiles. These missiles had a range of 600 km, giving the ability to the Stasnovans to launch them and return to base outside the range of Carsodonian air defences.

They were almost to the launch point. The bomber formation was flying at a low level, to delay detection to the very last instant, with their radars in standby mode. The bombers' Defensive Systems Operators would carefully watch their ESMs to ensure the aircraft is well below the radar horizon of the Carsodonian AWACS.

The VeK-29MPs and the Beriev AWACS turned on their powerful jamming equipment. The techniques used here were the same the Stasnovan flights used when encountering the Carsodonian aircraft near Beruiti: spot jamming was apllied on every frequency of the Carsodonian radars and barrage jamming was used to prevent frequency hoping, while communications interference was also used. This, coupled with the considerable ECCM capabilities of the Kh-22M/MA, would make the task of locking on and engaging the incoming missiles much harder for the Carsodonians, for they were effectively blinded. In addition to that, deception jamming was also used, something that would make false targets pop up on the Carsodonian radars.

It was time. The Tu-22M3 lit heir burners and pulled up into a steep maximum rate climb which would be maintained until up to 30,000 feet or so; this was necessary to provide radar line of sight over the horizon to the CBG. While exposing themselves to enemy radars, the Tu-22M3 were in position to fire just a couple of minutes after being detected, without giving the Carsodonians enought time to launch fighters to intecept them. The Backfires' I-band Down Beat radar were activated only for the several sweeps necessary to lock up a target, any more would provide any Carsodonian ECM aircraft with an opportunity to jam or deceive.

Major Vladimir Bezbokov was a Naval Aviation bomber pilot his entire life. He used to fly a Tu-95MS when he was with the Western Fleet in Tormavkovo. Being assigned as a Tu-22M3 pilot was a pleasant change of pace for him. He always found the high speed of the supersonic bomber, the "Backfire" as western militaries called it, rather refreshing. He was an experienced pilot, and he had seen combat before. Being in his early 50s, he was a quite old for a pilot, but he stubbornly denied every offer for an office post in Ostrovopol or Tormavkovo. He loved his job as a bomber pilot too much for this.

"We have a solid firing solution. The missiles are ready to fire in low-altitude mode." his WSO reported

"Orders from Vastava" exclaimed the communications officer begind them "We are cleared for missile launch!"

Bezbokov nodded and opened comms to the rest of his squadron "This is Udarnik 1-1 to all Udarnik aircraft. We are within firing range. Launch on my mark.....launch!"

"Launching payload!"

There was a notable amount of weight lifted from the large airframe of the Tupovlev bomber, as the three 5,820 kg-missiles were released. The Kh-22M/MA an upgraded version of an old, yet indeed lethal missile. In high-altitude mode, it climbs to an altitude of 27,000 m (89,000 ft) and makes a high-speed dive into the target, with a terminal speed of about Mach 4.6. In low-altitude mode, it climbs to 12,000 m (39,000 ft) and makes a shallow dive at about Mach 3.5, making the final approach at an altitude under 500 m (1,600 ft). As it approaches its programmed target, it engages its active radar or passive anti-radiation terminal seeker and homes into impact, obliterating its target with its proximity fused 2,000lb class warhead. The high aerodynamic performance of the Kh-22 demands a high performance SAM or AAM/Fighter to successfully intercept it while its large size allows for considerable ECCM (jam resistance) in its undernose J-band radar seeker, including features such as home-on-jam (situating the seeker under the nose reduces frontal radar cross-section).

After the missiles were launched, the Backfires turns steepled 180 degrees, after which they accelerated away from the Carsodonian CBG at supersonic speed. This manoeuvre will maximise separation from the CBG, while the enemy fighers had a missile swarm to stop. The Backfires continued the jamming also during their egress. 20 of the missiles were launched in high-altitude mode, while 25 in low-altitude mode 15 of the missiles were aimed at the Carsodonian carrer alone, with the rest splitting up to attack the escorts (5 missiles per escort).

To say the Port of Veilig was big would not do it justice. The many docks were constantly filled with ships being loaded, boarded or unloaded, giving the port an almost eternal life and activity to it. There were a number of wharfs that were cluttered with grey painted ships, both small and large, with the sounds of machinery and shouts echoing from them, somehow dampening the sounds made by docks and the rest of the city.

Incredibly, all of it was commanded by a single man, the Commander of the Veilig Port. Admiral Adolph Walbrook. His rise to such an esteemed position was arduous and one that had shaped him into the man he was. Being an ethnic Heugsch rather than an Oranje-Vaalman, he had faced discrimination from the people rather than the state because of his ties to the country's former coloniser, the state being much more kind to him as he grew up than to the Ontaarden. His ties to the military went even further back, with his Great-Grandfather being Admiral Petrus Walbrook who had faced many of the challenges Adolph had and had become a national hero to reward his battles. Adolph himself wasn't an imposing person, being only 5'9 and having a full head of black hair, although it was quickly becoming salt and pepper. He had a full beard, as did most sailors in the Suid-Alfashir Navy, and had two dark brown eyes. The skin around his eyes were creased from squinting, while his forehead had lines etched into them. His skin was largely pale, but had a slightly dark complexion to it due to his time outside.

During his tenure as the Commander of the Veilig Port, Adolph had help the Security Forces complete impressive feats, however none were quite as complex or extensive as Operation Hot Harbour. Op Hot Habour was, as Adolph had gathered, the loading and shipping of all materials essential for the construction of the Qajan Airfield. Materials including cement, lights, fuel, concrete, glass, sand and fuel were being loaded into ships of the Suid-Alfashir Maxillary Fleet and sent to Qajan. Or at least, that was the plan. It had apparently eluded the High Command that the transport of this much materials would take longer than they thought, a maximum of one week.

Such was the extent of the materials being brought to the ports, civilian cargo and transport ships had been drafted into service to transport the equipment. Looking outside of his window, Adolph could see the sheer scale of the operation, with the sea outside of the port being dotted with a number of ships sailing out of the port, being lauded in materials, and some sailing into the harbour, waiting to be loaded with cargo. All the while, there were a number of Suid-Alfashir Navy Suface Fleet ships could be seen escorting the convoy, while it was almost certain that there were submarines from the Submarine Fleet protecting the convoy from underneath. It was also certain that members of the Marine Commando were aboard the ships, as well as members of the Army and Air Force Infantry Regiment being deployed to protect the workers who would be building the site, as well as to protect it once it was completed.

As if to polarise the thought, there was the supersonic boom of the Valk and the Aasvoël could be heard as they powered through the air. Of course, they would only sustain air protection for a short while as the convoy would move through the sea, with the two aircraft carriers of the Navy, the SRS Stormagtige and the SRS Stryd would support the convoy through the rest of the journey, fielding the Vaaler Draer and the Vaaler Vas providing protection from the air.

Adolph had long accepted this task would be neither easy nor forgiving, yet he believed that it could be achieved.

In a surprise media appearance, Madani Nasir Nassar and Hayta Sindi will make a public appearance in the city of Balehas, with a group of Islamic Senators to have questions asked to them by the People, and will be held at a civilian-military parade. This is the first appearance of a government official in Balehas since the Second Balehasayan Massacre during the Islamic Socialist Provisional Directorate by remnants of the Democratic Republic. The Second Balehasayan Massacre, otherwise known as the South Balehasayan Massacre, was a mass killing of civilians by the Democratic Republic in order to drive out Communist forces in Balehas, and was ultimately pushed back, but around 600 people were killed.

The public appearance is to be accompanied with a guard dispatched by the Armed Forces of Beruiti, of around 20 soldiers that were reportedly highly ranked individuals. The guard is to be flanking the politicians on every position except the rear. The Balehasayan Police Department has issued a warning for individuals that are deemed suspicious, and that insignia that promotes the NPA or the flag of Free Beruiti or the Democratic People's Republic of Beruiti. Shahrokila Al-Roziyna, Chief and Director of the Balehasayan Police Department stated that "with the Supreme Leader and the Executive President arriving with Balehas, the city is in full alert and will not hesitate to use lethal force. Anyone suspected of being in cooperation of Free Beruiti or the New Peoples Army will be denied entry into Balehas."

The public appearance has also been in response of the Siege of Dhira, a small civilian town near Rozi that was made into a Free Beruiti outpost. Supposedly, the village had been captured and most of its civilians had been massacred, however any activity between Dhira and Beruiti has ceased. Hayta Sindi ordered for several commanders that were stationed in Rozi, most notably, Lieutenant Rostami Parviza; to request the aid of Bahtari soldiers and to re-equip and re-train them before setting out to destroy the village. Rostami Parvazi was given the command of 400 Beruiti Soldiers to destroy the outpost, and will seek Bahtari assistance. 5 Stasnovian fighters have also been requested, however Stasnov has refused to send more fighters.
