Yeah, uh, this is actually really important. The stupidly large numbers I see being pulled are evoking a combination of facepalming and chuckles, especially since OP explicitly stated that the majority of conflicts would be ground based.

Not to say that the equally monstrous amounts of ground troops/vehicles make sense either.

At the time, their terrestrial warfare technology was more advanced than ours, so we made use of it. It's pretty much what the Cyberiad does.

I always forget how comparatively small the Legions are. I'm curious about what those Legionaries get up to, since that's going to have a bit of a bearing on Throne Guardian activity in the system.
