Quick 1-3 Paragraph summary of foreign and defense policy in the cornelian empire Region:

Militarily Novitera seeks to ensure the defense of Noviteran soil while providing plenty naval and air support for its allies abroad. In the event of all out war, general defense policy includes establishing a wide area of control in the seas preventing seaborne invasions and using heavy bombing campaigns on critical targets to cripple an enemy's ability to conduct a ground offensive due to a lack of its own ground capabilities. Novitera does not engage in terror campaigns against the civilian populations and instead, plans to focus on military and infrastructure targets. These include factories, railways, bridges, munitions and fuel depots and supply lines.

On the opening stages of any major conflict, Novitera will begin by attempting to destroy enemy satellites with its anti-satellite missiles to weaken their ability in conducting reconnaissance and targeting. Submarines are heavily employed to serve as an early warning platform due to a lack of foreign bases and will be used for area denial in the oceans. The first attacks will most likely come from cruise missile strikes from submarines and long range bombings that will attempt to devastate key strategic targets at the enemy's home. Next, Novitera will want to establish air superiority early in the fight through the use of advanced combat aircraft and SEAD missions leaving them more able to conduct tactical bombings. Surface and underwater fleets of the Navy, with support from the Air Force, will seek to establish a wide area of control in the Tempesta Ocean to prevent amphibious invasions and disrupt supply lines in the seas.

Minister of Foreign Affairs: Matriarch Arlenica Nessic
Member of Cornellian Peacekeeping Organization Y/N: Yes
Member of Organization of Cornellian States Y/N: Yes
Quick 1-3 Paragraph summary of foreign and defense policy in the cornelian empire Region:
The Empire's foreign policy is focused on pursuing alliances with other matriarchal or gynocratic nations and establishing favourable trade relationships with friendly or ambivalent nations that are not. Currently Deadora's primary allies are the nations of the Shrailleenii Empire and Yalottska. Deadora also founded the South Acheron Economic Community, a trade alliance with the nations of the Gulf of Deadora intended to further the military and political interests of the Empire in that region. An essential aspect of those interests is the containment of patriarchal rivals, prominently New Edom (a historical enemy recently pursuing diplomatic detente with Deadora) and the Imperium of Arbites (viewed as an expansionist colonial power).

Defense policy is geared towards non-nuclear deterrence of foreign military aggression within a certain sphere of influence. The Deadoran Navy operates heavily in the seas of South Acheron and the Gulf in order to be able to carry out a missile first strike in the nations there, from Dahamey to New Othman, should it be necessary. The Army's primary task is the defense of western and northern Deadora from New Edom, and southern Deadora from amphibious invasion.

Nation Profile
Nation Name: Confederation of Jedoria
Head of State: Duke Constantin Zaharia
Head of Government: Duke Constantin Zaharia
Minister of Defense: Remus Gherghel
Minister of Foreign Affairs: Dragomir Rotaru
Member of Cornellian Peacekeeping Organization Y/N: No
Member of Organization of Cornellian States Y/N: Yes
Quick 1-3 Paragraph summary of foreign and defense policy in the Cornelian empire Region:

Jedorian foreign policy is focused on the cultivation of friendly political and trade relations that the Confederation believes it will benefit from. In recent years the Confederation has undertaken a new approach, focusing on more overlooked nations who do not play a significant role in regional affairs as potential allies. As a result, the Confederation has recently allied itself with the Republic of New Othman, and is in the process of forming official alliances with the Republic of Ashab and the Republica De Gran Chaco. The Confederation has recently left the CPO over concerns regarding the neutrality of the organization. Faced with potential border threats in the likes of New Edom and Vozgarnor, the Confederation has poured hundreds of billions of Credits into defense and national security. A by-product of this was the passing of the Domestic Security Act, which has levied immense powers to Jedoria's national police force, the Department of Internal Security. The Department has used the Act so crackdown on suspected dissidents and minority groups, using a campaign of systematic targeting and persecution involving the secretive kidnapping and torture of suspects deemed threatening to national security.

In military matters, the Confederation's mains goals are the protection of it's borders and the defense of it's allies. Any act of aggression towards it's own territory or that of it's allies, those being Novitera, Hostillia, New Othman, Ashab and Chaco, is sure to invite Confederate response. Unofficially, the Confederation is also likely to respond negatively to attacks on nations such as the Allammunnic States and the Shrailleeni Empire.

The Confederation approaches war from a very tangible perspective, believing victory comes down to operations, logistics, and numbers.

Jedorian doctrine emphasizes speed and shock as means to defeat adversaries, utilizing swiftness and firepower to diminish tactical deficiencies, and exploiting perceived institutional advantages of the Confederate Armed Forces. Unlike most other Cornellian armies, the Confederate Army uses brigades, rather than regiments, as the primary unit of organization for ground warfare, preferring the flexible, combined arms capabilities of the brigade against the purity of a regiment. The Confederate Army emphasizes the operational art, envisioning warfare as grand maneuvers of brigades and divisions, achieving local superiority to break through and annihilate opposing forces on the battlefield. To this effect the Confederate Army trains relentlessly, emphasizing speed in tactical and operational drills, with focus put on the battalion level of command and higher.

The Confederate Navy emphasizes strong air and sea coordination, employing heavily armed surface ships and a fleet of diesel-electric submarines. The Confederate Air Force employs a wide fleet of modern fighter aircraft and strategic and tactical bombers to support ground operations and secure control of the skies. Both the Navy and the Air Force have undergone modernization programs in recent years to put them on equal footing with potential adversaries.

The Confederate Armed Forces have recently, under the orders from Field Marshall Bianca Cernea, begun a series of changes to emphasize greater depth in the armed forces, expanding reserves and mounting larger and larger stockpiles of supplies and weaponry. The vast majority of the Confederation's armaments and equipment is domestically made, purposely designed to be mass producible, rugged, and utilize asymmetrical means to diminsh enemy technological capabilities.

Until I get more time to write more, I recommend looking at my factbook for more information on Jedoria's military.

Nation Profile
Nation Name: The Enlightened Matriarchy of the Shrailleeni Empire / The Enlightened Empire of Shrailleen
Head of State: Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress Chella Resyanna fe Shrailleen
Head of Government: Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress Chella Resyanna fe Shrailleen
Minister of Defense: Matriarch of War Tress Vilnis fe Fromathra
Minister of Foreign Affairs: Foreign Minister Zattem Resbruck
Member of Cornellian Peacekeeping Organization Y/N: Y
Member of Organization of Cornellian States Y/N: Y
Quick 1-3 Paragraph summary of foreign and defense policy in the cornelian empire Region:

Shrailleeni foreign policy for the last century has revolved around three primary goals. First, the Empire has sought out and encouraged close development and friendly relations with matriarchal nations and cultures in the region and beyond, notably Deadora, Yalottska, and certain Kurungarran and Dengali cultures. This policy has also included friendly relations with feminist groups in the region, most recently groups in Gloria Regis and New Othman. Second, Shrailleen has concentrated on finding markets for Shrailleeni agricultural and industrial goods while encouraging broad competition among developed nations within the empire's markets. This policy has resulted in trade agreements with a majority of Cornellian nations, and friendly relations with several demonstrably patriarchal nations such as Rome and Hostillia. Thirdly, the Empire has encouraged cooperation with nations who demonstrated the will both to modernize Shrailleen's woefully outdated military and offer a degree of protection for the Empire in the meantime.

These policies have led to committed mutual defense alliances with the Allied States of New Edom, the Feminist Empire of Deadora, and the Republic of Dengali. The mutual hostility experienced by New Edom and Deadora has been viewed a challenge to Shrailleeni Foreign Policy, and forming alliances with both nations was seen in part as a measure against either going to war with the other. New Edom constructed two military bases on the Shrailleeni Archipelago near the beginning of the Shrailleeni-New Edomite Alliance, and the forces based there are seen as a key component of Imperial military security. Shrailleen is devoted to the response of full military action against any attack launched on the military forces of New Edom, Deadora, or Dengali. Shrailleen maintains a naval presence off the coast of Gloria Regis as a neutral alternative to Gloria Regian armament, which is committed to the defense of the islands. Additionally, the Empire has signed a pact of non-aggression with the Late Roman Empire.

The Empire's defense policy revolves around naval force projection, particularly to the defense of Shrailleeni interests in Southern Archeron. It is limited in this regard by what remains a pre-modern military force, which although in possession of some cutting-edge equipment lacks comprehensive native satellite intelligence support. To offset this disadvantage the Empire relies on allied intelligence support, and emphasizes the deployment of large numbers of military forces in a single setting to compensate for technological inadequacies. New Edomite military reforms have been reflected in Shrailleeni tactical planning, which includes mechanized infantry doctrines that utilize mobility and precise strikes. These are combined with a traditional specialization in artillery forces and deployment, and Shrailleeni light infantry and cavalry reconnaissance forces are notoriously resolute and experienced, particularly in tropical environments.

Total Personnel Devoted to Potential Conflict: 3,524,850 (number rounded, includes support roles)
Total Potential Reserves for Conflict: 3,860,850 (includes Imperial Guard numbers and reserve groups able to be adequately supplied)
Because it can be confusing, I have decided to add a quick reference list of Shrailleeni military unit designations. These will consist of a definition, a list of common examples, and an average number of combat personnel involved.

Command: A unit consisting of several platoons, specialized by type. These are typically the smallest operating units in the Imperial military, and are further organized into Sub-Battlegroups. Each Command is led by a Commander, which is a genderless rank.
An Armored Command typically contains 15 Rotweiler Medium Tanks, 6 Ironheart ATMS, 6 Ironheart Mobile Gun Systems, 4 Armored Mortars, and an Ironheart C&S.
A Heavy Mechanized Infantry Command typically contains 15 Ironheart IFVs, 12 Ironheart Light IFVs, 2 Ironheart Armored Mortars, 2 Ironheart Mobile Gun Systems, an Ironheart C&S, and about 240 Infantry.
A Mechanized Infantry Command typically contains 10 Ironheart APCs, 8 Ironheart Light IFVs, 5 Ironheart IFVs, 4 Ironheart Armored Mortars, an Ironheart C&S, and about 240 infantry.
A Motorized Infantry Command typically contains about 32 Heavy Transport trucks and 240 Infantry.
A Cavalry Command contains about 200 kalko-mounted cavalry, with an assortment of infantry weapons.
Artillery Batteries, Battle Medics, and Support units are also organized into Command-level units.
Most Commands contain 300-350 total personnel.

Sub-Battlegroup: A unit consisting of 5-6 Commands, plus a Support Command. A Sub-Battlegroup receives its specific designation depending on the type of Commands it contains, and is the smallest independently operating military unit deployed by the Empire. Several Sub-Battlegroups are further organized into a full Battlegroup. A Sub-Battlegroup is commanded by a female Battle Sub-Matriarch, or a male Battle Leader. Examples of Sub-Battlegroups include:
An Armored Sub-Battlegroup, which would contain 3 Armored Commands, a Heavy Mechanized Infantry Command, 2 Artillery Batteries or one Artillery Battery and one Flight of gunships, and a Support Command;
A Mechanized Infantry Sub-Battlegroup, which would contain 2 Mechanized Infantry Commands, one Heavy Mechanized Infantry Command, one Armored Command, one Artillery Battery, a Battle Medics Command, and a Support Command;
A Motorized Infantry Sub-Battlegroup, which would contain 3 Motorized Infantry Commands, one Cavalry Command, one Artillery Battery, a Battle Medics Command, and a Support Command.
Sub-Battlegroups may also be organized to consist entirely of Artillery, Cavalry, or other Support Commands.
Most Sub-Battlegroups contain 2000-3000 total personnel

Battlegroup: A unit consisting of 5-6 Sub-Battlegroups, which may include additional Logistics, Support, and Battle Medics Sub-Battlegroups. A Battlegroup is the largest operational unit in the Shrailleeni Army, and the name carries a long history of prestige and martial prowess similar to the Roman pride in their legions. A Battlegroup is commanded by a female Battle Matriarch or a male General. The specific name given to a Battlegroup reflects the designations of its Sub-Battlegroups, so that an Armored Battlegroup would contain at least 3 Armored Sub-Battlegroups, a Mechanized Infantry Battlegroup at least 3 Mechanized Infantry Sub-Battlegroups, and so on. A Battlegroup typically contains anywhere from 12,500 to 15,000 total personnel.

Army: When multiple Battlegroups are operational in the same theater of war, the grouping is referred to as an Army. An Army of Battlegroups is usually designated by the theater in which it operates, such as the Army of Dressanna, the Army of Kurungarra, and so on. When an Army is formed, overall command is given to the Battle Matriarch or General of highest honor-rank, with corresponding rank increases throughout the Battlegroup effected. The commander of an Army is a female Army Matriarch or a male Enlightened General. An Army typically is also given operational authority in rank over local Air Command units. An Army varies in size depending on the number of Battlegroups assigned to it.

Other key terms:

A female Fleet Matriarch or a male Admiral is in command of any grouping of ships operating under the same command in the Imperial Navy. The commander of a single vessel is known as a female Ship Matriarch or a male Ship Commander. Shrailleeni Imperial Navy vessels are given the designation Shrailleeni Imperial Ship, or S.I.S.

The Shrailleeni air force is referred to as the Shrailleeni Air Command, or SAC. A Shrailleeni Air Command unit operates on the same principle as an Army, and is given a designation corresponding to its theater of operation. SAC units consist of Squadrons which usually contain 24 jet fighters or Flights of 14 helicopters. Both Squadrons and Flights are lead by a gender-neutral Squadron Leader. Overall command of a SAC unit is given to a female Army Matriarch or a male Air Commander.

**Note** The Shrailleeni Imperial Army consists of in total 21 Armored Battlegroups, 40 Mechanized Infantry Battlegroups, and 72 Motorized Infantry Battlegroups, not counting the two Battlegroups that form the Defense Force Dengali. This creates a very long ORBAT, but details of each Battlegroup are necessary because not every Battlegroup contains the same types of Sub-Battlegroups, and any of these could be deployed to different theaters at will.

Therefore, for expediency's sake, I have listed in detail the formations only of the Battlegroups currently stationed on the Shrailleeni archipelago, collapsing the 72 Motorized Battlegroups into a single reference. The list remains very long despite this, and I apologize in advance for any inconvenience. For an idea of what this ORBAT represents in numbers, please see A Note on Shrailleeni Unit Designations

Sif said to her, "This is a modern Shrailleeni Empire military parade. Like as in this is what they wear, this is what they use. This is it."

The Republic of Adiron's foreign policy goals broadly include supporting regional allies, increasing military readiness against its major threats, establishing and maintaining good trade relations with regional trading partners, and promoting human rights and liberal democracy. Currently the specific foreign policy issues facing Adiron are an ongoing embargo on FODE petroleum products, terrorist threats, and a growing conflict in Arcologia with the Imperium of Arbites Materia.

Over the past year, Ghantish leadership has become more overtly pro-Adiran, granting Adiron a lease for a naval base at Behatza. Major regional trading partners include the Shrailleeni Empire, Ghant, the Late Roman Empire, Novitera, New Edom, Deadora, Lazodiria, and Valik. Adiran peacekeepers and relief organizations are active throughout the former Cornellian Empire. Energy security is a major concern for Adiron.

The Imperium of Arbites Materia represents Adiron's single greatest security threat. Faced with a 1700 km border running through mostly open terrain, Adiron maintains a defense in depth in Plainterre province manned by the entirety of the First Army. Diplomatically Adiron has worked to isolate the Imperium from its trading partners, but were unable to prevent the formation of an Edomite-Arbiter alliance following the Second Edomite Civil War. Although tens of millions were spent on peacekeeping and aid to New Edom, Adiron is faced with the grim possibility that New Edom will be forced to support its ally, undoing years of painstaking, often risky work. Diplomatic efforts are underway to avoid just that.

In-character name of the nation is "Adiron," because I like the name better.

For Players Who Cannot Regularly Commit

My idea for players who cannot regularly commit to posting but are in pivotal roles is this: we will have a regularbulletin posted at least every two days by that player. Their last bulletin will stand as current action unless they discuss things and come to another arrangement. Essentially a bulletin will describe general political, military, diplomatic policy as well as summation in a sentence or so of public reaction or events.

For example, here's one as if it were written by me:

New Edom Standing Orders
Ashab Conflict:
Political Position: Support Theological Council as legitimate government
Military Position: Provide naval fire and air support to TC forces under General Shada
May ally write general response? Yes
May my forces be attacked? Yes
What is my force's general posture? Maintain fire/air support of Shada, retreat to defensive posture if attacked.
Would I like a referee declared in an OOC thread?Yes, Hittanryan
Diplomatic Position: My nation will agree to a ceasefire if there is a general defeat of my allies or my own forces.

I think for this purpose that any major action is then simple to roleplay and continue with. Then for resolution we'd have the following as a simple equation:
1 point per numeric advantage of odds from 2 to ten vs. defender.
1 point per technological advantage (keep it simple: outdated 1970s air defense vs. most up to date aviation combat systems for instance. This includes having equipment that another player has not deployed)
1 point for experience of personnel (ie how many conflicts in canon you have rp'd ic in the game)
1 point for initiative advantage (surprise, stealth, etc)
1 point for terrain advantage (ie troops are in bunkers vs. light infantry, light infantry ambush position vs. armour, etc)

There are some things we ought to leave to an honour system of course. Supply, logistics, communications, etc, or it could get way too technical. Also I might suggest we can always leave this as an option for players who are active but use it for sure for players who cannot be active in order to keep the ball rolling. I would appreciate players' thoughts on the matter.

So to make a practical example, lets say that I become indisposed in, let's say completely hypothetically, an invasion of Hostillia. I would post my forces standing orders, and then as the conflict continued my forces would be given a point value of, say, 16. Hostillia, being active, in turn calculates their value to 17. So in this case they begin reasonably winning the conflict, which is neutrally verified by an appointed player, for the sake of argument Wielkilas. When I return, I accept these results and pick up from there. Is this correct?

Member of Cornellian Peacekeeping Organization Y/N: Yes
Member of Organization of Cornellian States Y/N: Yes
Quick 1-3 Paragraph summary of foreign and defense policy in the Cornellian Empire Region:

Since the Mid-Twentieth Century, Altian foreign and defence policy has been almost wholly devoted in its focus to the West, in Ceti. Altian support and eventual direct combat involvement in the Cetan Civil War helped to bring the rise of the Adir Mountain Council, which in itself eventually evolved into the Republic of Adiron. Today, Altia's chief defence concerns regard that of the Imperium of Arbites, a fact compounded by its strong alliance with Adiron and its repeat involvement in various conflicts within Ceti, the most recent being the Second Burnt Hills War, known in Altinum as the Second Cetan War.

The constant threat from Arbites has lead to the Altian Confederation establishing a greater defence policy, requiring each constituent nation to maintain a certain level of troops even during peacetime and requiring a minimum for defence spending in order to keep up with new technological advances in armaments and defences. The massive increase in defence spending and other military-oriented policies since the attack on Altian soil at the outbreak of the Second Burnt Hills War has come at a cost to social services, which had to be significantly tightened and reigned in in order to provide for greater military spending. As a result, however, Altinum maintains one of the most thoroughly trained military forces in the region, with the average soldier receiving basic training of at least 24-30 weeks for its professional forces, and further specialised training following that. Likewise, each nation maintains a force of trained reserves which can be mobilised at the outbreak of war, and maintain processes and programmes for greater conscription should it become necessary. This gives the Altian nations combined a vast manpower reserve, albeit often divided by language and in some cases by doctrine.

Altinum's geographical situation puts it at both an advantage, and a disadvantage. It's nature as a separate continent allows it to be defended by it's nations' combined air and naval power, lacking in large numbers compared to other nations but made up for by stringent pilot selection and excellent personnel training, as well as advanced technology that allows it an edge and an advantage over numerically superior enemies. Since the Second Burnt Hills War, its defence forces have invested greatly in anti-missile defences and advanced warning systems spread across coasts especially, and sporadically inland. Altian military commanders have always been adaptable by principle, and did not allow the lesson of their early and significant losses in the opening stages of the war to escape them.

It's disadvantage, however, is its difficulty in deploying heavy ground forces. The necessity for strong and numerous armoured forces against the Imperium make this especially difficult, and so advanced fast sealift vessels are numerous and available, but costly to operate and face risky sea voyages.

A draft order is currently in effect in the following nations: Aurelia, Avenia, Arcadia
All personnel drafted will be first placed into reserve forces to undergo further training while first reserves are mobilised.

Total Personnel Devoted to Potential Conflict: 1.8 Million Active Forces and Mobilised Reserves | 245.000 Deployed
Total Potential Reserves for Conflict: 2 Million Reserves

The Altian Forces Cetan Command (AFCETCOM) was first established to facilitate the deployment of Altian forces in aid of Adiran forces in future conflicts in Ceti. Following armed engagements between allied Adiran and hostile Arbiter forces in Northern Arcologia and subsequently raised tensions, the number of divisions stationed in Adiron was raised from a previous six divisions to fourteen divisions from three nations, as well as multiple wings of aircraft of various types, totaling over 1000 main battle tanks, nearly 350 aircraft, 137 unmanned aerial vehicles, several battalions of heavy self propelled howitzers, and nearly 250.000 ground troops.

That's correct. I would like to suggest that we all do this in this thread, one bulletin for each of our theaters of operation.

Quick 1-3 Paragraph summary of foreign and defense policy in the cornelian empire Region:

Imperial foreign policy has three primary goals: spreading the Magi religion, promoting Imperial economic interests, and increasing military readiness against hostile foreign powers. Imperial trade policy seeks foreign direct investment in Special Economic Zones, which feature cheap manufacturing of consumer goods for First World nations. Petroleum exports are another major focus of Imperial trade policy, being a founding member of the FODE oil cartel and holding the embattled position of FODE Secretary-General. Unfortunately, Imperial soft power is not what it once was. In the wake of the wars with Adiron, foreign investment has dwindled and one reason for the Imperium's membership in FODE is to circumvent embargoes on Imperial goods. The most effective diplomatic bargaining chip the Imperium has left is hard power, as demonstrated by its alliance with New Edom in which the Imperium has proved the Allied States’ most reliable military backer of recent years.

Fielding conscript forces equipped with reliable and effective if not cutting-edge technology, Imperial military doctrine is based on the theory of deep operations. Aware that its forces are at a tactical disadvantage to the Western-style professional military forces of its Adiran adversaries, the Imperial military has instead worked to master the operational art of warfare. On the offensive, the Imperial Army works to pit overwhelming combined arms forces across a narrow front to achieve a breakthrough, which then drive on to wreak havoc in rear echelon areas. Elaborate deception campaigns are carried out to mask the movement of major offensive elements, preventing enemy forces from predicting when and where the breakthrough will be attempted. On the defensive, the Imperium prefers to establish a defense-in-depth, but can draw on ample reserves to grind enemy offensives down by attrition if the need arises.

Quick 1-3 Paragraph summary of foreign and defense policy in the cornelian empire Region:

Chaco is first and foremost committed to the stability of the region around Ayaca. The best way for the region to remain stable is to ensure that Dorian Anjideen and the republican government remain in power in Ashab. The government of the Theology Council was a backward and hostile government. Before the Republican coup of the 70s Chaco had to constantly keep forces along the border in a state of readiness. The two nations even went to war in 1964. Chaco also benefitted from trade with Republican Ashab. Chaco was also able to get a better handle on the violence in the indigenous areas when they were able to move troops from the border to counties with insurrection risks. Chaco views that the Theology Counsel regaining control of Ashab is a major step backwards for development and security on the continent and is willing to commit military force to help stabilize their neighbor.

On a grander scale Chaco realizes that they are a small and weak nation compared to many other nations of the region. They wish to take no part in a grander conflict, particularly with New Edom unless directly threatened. Chaco is willing to help friends in need as long as there is a benefit for doing so. The government is willing to commit expeditionary forces to help augment friendly forces in larger conflicts, as long as they do not cause a greater threat to the homeland. Diplomatically Chaco tries to have a live and let live policy with other nations and typically will not be publicly about what goes on within the borders of another nation, as long as they are not a threat to Chaco's security or reputation. The Chacano government is willing to trade with most nations and does not try to create conflict. Chaco has mutual defense two pacts. One with Novitera and the other with Republican Ashab.

Chaco has recently fought a war in Ashab to ensure that the theology council would not gain control of the nation. Currently they have around 3,000 military personal in Ashab to help provide security in the region around Temethis. Chaco also has forces in Latium as part of a joint Jedorian Chacano force. Originally the force was deployed to help ensure trade continued to flow with Novitera and Tericio, but not the force is assisting Constantine in his struggle for control of Latium.

Nation Profile

Head of Government: President Olga Chapin

Minister of Foreign Affairs: Thomas Solberg
Member of Cornellian Peacekeeping Organization Y/N: N
Member of Organization of Cornellian States Y/N: N
Quick 1-3 Paragraph summary of foreign and defense policy in the cornelian empire Region:

Rietumimark's strategic goals are based heavily around the reconquest of the Dewedish kingdom and Rietumish foreign policy revolves around securing favourable uneasy ad-hoc political or economic alliances with nations that share similar short-term goals. As such, Rietumimark has icy, if not hostile, relations with countries who activity support or are active proponents of Dewedish sovereignty or oppose the current government. Although, there has been attempts at improving relations with Rietumimark's historic enemies as part of the Rietumish government the country's new foreign policy of "harmony without uniformity." Following this new foreign policy, Rietumimark has sought to build working relationships with countries willing to provided the country with new modern military equipment to assist in the ongoing modernisation of its military and civilian paraphernalia to help with the current government drive to ramp up economic growth.

Rietumish military doctrine has been moulded and influenced by the country's inability to obtain large amounts of technically advanced military equipment. The military compensates for this by relying heavily on sheer raw firepower and superior numbers to overcome and ultimately defeat enemy forces. Deep operations and counter strike are the leading military theories of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, with the Rietumish military preferring to use superior numbers to simply obliterate any potential threats for it can manifest itself, using a combination of massive air and artillery strikes to devastate strong points and reinforcements, while the Revolutionary Army overwhelms its opponents main force. As such, the Revolutionary Armed Forces lacks mobility and technological superiority in any foreseeable conflict.

ASHAB THREAD NOTE:

I would like to propose the following things.
1. That I should by now have detected navall movements around Tarnum within roughly a 20 km radius at the very least.
2. That I should be able to detect Chaco's landing force.
3. That by now General Shada should have been in communication with my fleet to provide targeting information. If not, there should be a reason ic why this has not been done.
4. We should have a bulletin of TC and Republic movements very soon if Novitera cannot post in the next few days.

If I get the time, when novi gets back I'll see about getting some kind of map going where we can keep track of movements so we have an OOC reference.

Sounds fine. I'll do another Shada post to affirm that. The combat posts, along with more exact numbers of aircraft will come up on Wednesday.

The Organization of Cornellian States

The Organization of Cornellian States, or OCS, is the main international organization in the Cornellian Empire, with HQ in Altinum. It is a neutral organization which acts as a means for negotiation and agreement about international treaties and organization. Because it in some respects mirrors the WA in NS, here are a list of WA resolutions which I felt would be good to use as references for our conflicts.

1. Prisoners of War Accord
2. Diplomat Protection Act
3. Ban on Slavery and Trafficking
4. World Health Authority
5. Humanitarian Aid Coordination
6. Rules of Surrender

Nation Profile
Nation Name: Federation of Allamunnic States
Head of State: Sofya Rudulf (President)
Head of Government: Anessa Maarks (Chancellor)
Minister of Defense: Andrik Daanylsunn
Minister of Foreign Affairs: Jordynn Graagursunn
Member of Cornellian Peacekeeping Organization Y/N: Yes
Member of Organization of Cornellian States Y/N: Yes
Quick 1-3 Paragraph summary of foreign and defense policy in the Cornellian Empire Region:

The Federation's defensive priorities deal first and foremost with the militaristic, politically-extremist regimes of Estovnia/Estland (to the southeast) and Rietumimark (to the northeast). Although historically the relationship with Ghant has at times been rocky, the two countries are allies in the North Cornellian Treaty Organization (NCTO). The nation has also historically been friendly, and often outright allied to Arthurista, and maintains friendly relations with fellow NCTO member Demphor.

Due to its friendly relations and co-membership in NCTO with Ghant, Demphor, and Arthurista, the Federation largely considers itself to be insulated from seaborne attack. As a result, the Federal Navy definitively takes a back seat to the Federal Army, and, to a lesser extent, the Federal Air Corps in priority for funding and manpower. This emphasis is due, as previously mentioned to the uneasy relationship with Estovnia/Estland (whose regime remains unfriendly to the FAS, although an uneasy alliance of convenience exists at present due to the presence of the Rietumish), and the outright hostile one with Rietumimark (given additional concern due to the regime's cozy relationship with Akai). Both nations have invaded the FAS in the past, although outright hostilities have not occurred within the past few decades. Still, keeping Rietumimark and Estland/Estovnia hostile to one another is considered a high diplomatic priority.

In regards to maritime activity, the FAS largely trusts its protection from seaborne attack to its allies in NCTO. Its naval contingents are largely constructed with the intent of aiding its NCTO allies in coalition activities, or in defending its own territorial waters rather than any significant offensive activity: expeditionary capability is oriented primarily towards peacekeeping and humanitarian activities which the FAS might be called on to participate in as part of the CPO. The FAS considers Arbites and Akai to be its two most salient maritime threats, although both are considered somewhat distant; Akai's involvement in Rietumimark is of much greater concern than its maritime activity.

Total Personnel Devoted to Potential Conflict: approximately 985,000 personnel (all branches, includes immediate (trained) reserves). Realistically, for anything than an all-out war with the FAS' immediate neighbors, the functional number is much lower.
Total Potential Reserves for Conflict: Conscription can potentially increase Federal Armed Forces personnel strength to around 4,000,000 in emergency, for a short period of time, with lowered training and recruitment standards.

ORBATS under construction.

Novitera has treated me with consistent disrespect. When in an IRC discussion recently we were discussing possibilities about the current cease fire in the Ashab thread. He said that my ic post was a violation of cease fire terms. I pointed out that requests for movements for supplies was normal in a cease fire (since after all they take place between belligerents) he said "it doesnt' apply in this thread."

Novitera has consistently refused to listen to or acknowledge presented evidence or information on my part or that of other players who know more than he does on certain subjects. He dismisses such information with consistent disrespect and contempt. For this reason i do not feel that it is possible to have fair play with him. He complains that I have used rude language with him, which I have. I do not consider people who treat me with disrespect as friends. Therefore for the forseeable future i am retconning any further involvement with him and in particular the Ashab civil war thread. I will furthermore keep him on close watch and if he treats other players in this manner in future I will consider whether or not he ought to remain in the region.

*Edit*: After talking to Novitera privately he was more reasonable and seemed to understand better what my point of view was. I advised him that in future he should talk to me in PM or through telegram if things become an argument. I would like to ask him to stick to that for the time being and to accept that I or Hittanryan have the right to make a ruling about fair conduct in threads. I would like to ask the rest of the region to give him a chance. he has done excellent work in the Fight of the Faithful thread. For Novitera as with all players in the region: Hittanryan and I are the final arbiters of regional conduct. We have consistently insisted on fair play for all, and have at times exhausted ourselves with debates in the IRC chat. I think that the time for this is over. We have a lot of new players. We will not let an argument go beyond ten minutes, after which it will go immediately to private arbitration unless it is just a friendly debate.
