[The Green Union]

At five in the morning, the city awoke to sounds of heavy gunfire. A combined army, 2,000 strong, had assembled to storm the sleeping city.

"We declare the establishment of the revolutionary Anarcho-Commune of North Vasille!"

8:00 am, Capt. Marcus Brayfield, high above North Vasille:



"Gold Squadron, sign off. Gold Leader standing by."

"Gold Two, standing by."

"Gold Three, standing by."

"Gold Four, standing by."

Gold Squadron made its way above the carnage in the streets of North Vasille, high above the clouds and the artillery bombardment battering the civilian populace and the government-aligned military garrison of the city. Every second brought them closer to the communist fanatics invading the country. Sensors picked up fighting in the city, as evidently there had been rebels concealed inside the city itself, and a lot of them. The formerly concealed rebels were now engaging the few government military and police forces capable of resisting. The forces of the Liberated Free Nations were currently holding their position outside the city, bombarding with heavy guns. On his viewscreen Marc saw a skyscraper topple out of the skyline after being struck by multiple artillery shells.

"Gold Two to Gold Leader, suggest we take out those artillery pieces."

"Affirmitive, Gold Two. Gold Squadron, fall in behind me."

The Loyalist planes descended over the Communist lines, deploying precision air-to-ground missiles that home in on enemy artillery and destroy heavy weapons and important assets such as fuel and munitions. The Loyalist aircraft continue to fly light, precise bombing runs over the Communist lines, also focusing on destroying bridges and roads that the Communist forces can use to reach the city.



After the third run Sgt. Mctavish (Gold Leader) contacted Marc. "Gold Two, try to make contact with North Vasille's city hall, mayor's office. Try to find out how they're holding out down there."

Marc tried, contacting the address given, but the mayor's secretary was less than understanding.

"Mayor Bures' office."

"This is Capt. Brayfield of the LAF." Please patch me through to the Mayor. We need to discuss the invasion of the city."

"Mr. Bures Is indisposed at the moment. He does not need to speak to you concerning the city."

Growing impatient, Brayfield decided to be slightly more assertive. "I should have you know that I can see city hall right now from this fighter jet, and I have a missile put aside just for you if I don't get to talk to the mayor."

"Ummmm, yes, sir. Right away sir."

After a brief silence a gruff voice came through the speaker. "This is mayor Bures. What do you want?"

"Mayor, if you have not noticed your city is under attack by a weird coalition of Anarchist rebels and Communist fanatics. What is the status of your defence?"

"I believe you should be asking what is the status of my assault. This city will no longer obey any of the Dacruzian government's laws or regulations. In essence, we have been freed. I would suggest you depart this area and country before you are dubbed an opposition to the liberation." With that the line went dead.

Marc swore under his breath. "Gold Leader, the mayor is assisting the rebellion and Communist takeover. Suggest we deploy missiles directly on city hall."

"Negative, Gold Two, but keep up the bombardment. Hopefully we can keep the reds out of the city until help arrives."

The Nedewsilan Navy stops the Arstotzkan supply ships in their tracks and steal relive them of their weapons. The Nedewsilans then send a telegram to Arstotzka than sending weapons is a terrible way to bring peace, but, because you were supporting all parties, you remain pretty neutral. The Nedewsilans then keep the confiscated weapons and ammo for them selves.

IC: The LAF requests immediate assistance from Coalition members in North Vasille. Though bridges and roads have been bombed to prevent LFN forces from entering the city, transportation infastructure on unopposed sides of the city have been left intact to allow for the movement of Coalition/government land reinforcements and refugees fleeing the city.

In Other News: Farms near Delacruz county are being razed by nobody in particular. The rebel stealth army suspected to be in the area is suspected to be at fault.

Some Cesopiumian and DPG forces guarding the border of Tusia are beginning to report strange shadows and sounds on the far side of the border. It is not known to Cesopiumian officials whether or not these claims are reason for concern.

10 days until the arrival of the reinforcements:

With the bridges being rendered inoperable by Coalition airstrikes and having little defense against airstrikes, the DRLFN units, hardened by years of guerrilla warfare experience at home, opted to move quickly and abandon their motorized vehicles - which were short on fuel anyway. Sabotaging them so they couldn't fall into enemy hands and swimming across the river under cover of night, the besieging units reached the city by 2 AM. Organized opposition within the city, however, was unexpectly weak. Apparently, anarchist rebels had been busy reinfiltrating the northern provinces, taking advantage of government corruption, even joining the police force to move undetected. Corrupt local authorities had been selling residency passes in great numbers to them for some time now.

It wasn't long before the rebel-commie army was at City Hall, meeting up with the main insurgent army within the city. Moments later, however, a nerve-numbing shockwave was followed by the collapse of a large building nearby. Coalition aircraft circled overhead.

The former mayor, now Liberator Bures, stated, "We shouldn't be staying at city hall. Find cover, fast."

Fighting continued against the now-hopelessly outnumbered DMA militiamen in the center and northeast sectors of the city throughout the night. Government resistance was holding strongest in the southwest, centered mainly around the State Police Barracks.

Daybreak would reveal that more than half of North Vasille was now bedecked in red and black flags - and that Communist revolutionary slogans had appeared on a number of buildings overnight.

Refugee Rescue

The Nedewsilan Military Ship in 20 Globemaster 3s to pick up the escaping refugees from North Vasille. The Globemasters are being escorted by 40 Merlin HC3s. The refugees are taken to the Nedewsilan refugee communities for semi-permanent re-settlement in Nedewsila. With excellent skill the Globemasters land in a large stretch of land, one crashed into a nearby tree, both were demolished (the plane and the tree). The Merlins stay airborne as Nedewsilans with loud speakers hooked up to sub-woofers and round up as many refugees as they can (not many... the propaganda got to em) and lift off shortly after. 863 people were saved. Not enough. Not Enough.

Emigration

From Entrorumpia millions are flocking to the nearby port to immigrate to Nedewsila.
Immigrant Count: 3 Million of the 150 Million Dacruzians have left for Nedewsila, 147 Million Dacruzians left.

Capitalist Propaganda

The Nedewsilans begin broadcasting of the greatness of capitalism, how, in the Nedewsilan dream, all can be rich and free from oppression. The food is good the drink is better and the work pays obscenely well. With a refugee employment program in place, refugees have a 99% employment rate, (16+ Years) and are making it big. The broadcast includes many testimonials from real working Dacruzians working in the primary sector while drinking a tall class of clean water. Immigration rates go up in Nedewsila.

Alex swore under her breath. Gold Squadron was just about out of missiles and there were still no Coalition aircraft en route. Well, some Nedewsilan Globemasters had appeared and somehow managed to evacuate refugees (she had no clue how they had managed to land safely on the highway) but they hardly counted as they were not part of the Coalition any more nor did they seem to want to help. They were having trouble with the bombings, too. The UF-105 was an interceptor and though that had been good for getting to the combat area quickly it was not helpful when actually engaging ground targets, especially in a prolonged bombardment. It was difficult enough to even keep the plane steady for an attack run at low altitude, but now that all their air-to-ground weapons were used and they were down to air-to-air on ground targets with no help in sight she was positive the battle was over for worse.

"Gold Three, contact the DMA and government forces still in the city. Order them to beat a retreat. Gold Squadron, we'll use the rest of our missiles to cover them and destroy any means the reds have of following."

[ISAF-Usea]

"Sir, reds have overran the city. They didn't take our warning, and coalition members need assistance." Said the intel officer aboard the Usea class carrer. "Well, we tried to warn them. Unleash the air assault teams." Said the admiral. "Yessir."
On the carrier, about 10 combat chinooks were loaded up with 50 infantry each. The firing ports were armed with 5 HMGs and 5 TOWs on each CC. The rest of the firepower was coming from the vulcan, rockets, and the infantry firing out of the ports with their own weapons. The infantry were armed with MR-72s, H&K ARs, SAWs, and the occasional grenade launcher. An additional support group of 5 chinooks were also prepped. Once the strike group was ready, they took off from the carrier and headed towards North Vasille. "Green Union aircraft, we are on our way. Tell the militia to be ready to take back the city."

After about 25 minutes, the strike group flew over the city, guns blazing. With rockets and guns being shot at commie-rebel mixed forces. The combat chinooks and comanches patrolled the city and shot anyone who was holding a gun and was out in the open.

Northern Evacuation

The Nedewsilans begin evacuating every citizen from Santa Viraz and El Pablo, unless they wish to join the DMA, and begin bringing them back to Nedewsila. The Nedewsilans hope that they can be fast enough before they are confronted by the red menace. Tornadoes patrol the skies around the cities and the Challenger 2s form blockades. Northern Dacruz is no longer safe, it needs to be evacuated.

In Conta, the 3 Legions sent to Dacruz continue to amass their troops and are almost at full fighting capacity.

In Paramina, Benjamin Drescher allows the authorization of Cesopium's new weapon to be sent into the theatre, that may or may not be pivotal in the winning of the conflict or at least force the others to cede part of it as a independent nation. With the Green Union and Nedewsila and other Coalition members fighting against Communists in the north and with the GRA using such outlandish things such as "Mechs" and "Flying Aircraft Carriers", along with millions of conscripted civilians to be put to war in another theater of war that isn't even affecting their home whom Benjamin views as desperate to keep their gains in a foreign land.

Meanwhile, in preparation for fighting to come, 15 S-300 Surface-to-air missile systems are sent along with 34 S-75 Dvina's being transported by ship to Conta to be used as well.

OOC: Ships entering Tusia will be stopped by the Coalition navy off the coast and any weapons found onboard confiscated. Though smugglers have been able to get light arms through relatively easily it will not be a walk in the park to get missiles through the blockade, at least assembled . . .
