President Alejandro Dupont has selected the interior design himself from a catalogue at the Boeing factory. The Grandes Terres government livery consists of the Grandes Terresian flag painted onto the tale of the plane and the Grandes Terres government logo on the fuselage. The government has brought two more identical planes as back up and the planes will always have a fighter escort when not in Grandes Terresian airspace.

The International Prison System Recieves Positive Feedback

The frigid village of Oymyakon experiences temperatures averaging almost minus 60 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter, giving it worldwide recognition as the coldest inhabited area on the planet. The village’s name means, quite ironically, “unfrozen water,” due to the presence of a nearby thermal spring.Despite the name, the ground in Oymyakon is so frozen that it is nearly impossible to have indoor plumbing, and cars in the village need to be kept running or else they will not be able to start up again. Funnily enough, summers in Oymyakon, although very short, have temperatures in the 60s and 70s.

This is the location of 'Zamorazhivaniya Koshmar' (The Freezing Nightmare), a prison where mercy does not exist. The supermax facility was constructed earlier this year and is believed to have a holding capacity of 8,500. The prison will hold the world's most dangerous criminals. Nations were internationally invited to start sending prisoners to the facility in February. It has not been confirmed as to whether the prisoners will have to face the bitter cold, or be kept warm. Neither has it yet been confirmed what will happen in the prison as there are strict reporting rules regarding the place. Nobody has seen it all yet, but people will probably try.

A headquarters has been set up in Moscow and any nations who wish to send prisoners can simply send them over with a contract for their stay. The prison has been intended to house the world's most lethal criminals. Jorgen stated that the prison has a no-nonsense approach to misconduct.

''Good Evening everyone'' Adam Hillsburgh addressed the foreign policy select committee. The select committee had gathered to discuss all the various international affairs that Ethane is involved in, to decide on an overall policy for Ethane internationally. The MP for New Forest West, Desmond Swayne, was also allocated a role in the select committee due to his involvement in the international security of Ethane. There were many issues to discuss at this meeting, as the select committee had failed to meet on several occasions beforehand where they should of formally met to deliberate on the foreign policies of this new nation. They mainly had to allocate funding to the organisation that they were willing to join, and form alliances with the nations that showed strength and prowess, but that also closely represented their views so as not to cause a conflict of ideology. The policy of Ethane closely led on 1 important internal decision that had to be made by the foreign office, which was to decide which international policy they would follow. They had to decide on whether they wished to remain an isolationist nation, completely apart from the international community and remaining silent in international forums, such as organisations like the United Nations. While there were a select few people who did wish to remain apart from the international community, as they felt that there would be no other way that they could avoid an eventual war, this policy was not very popular due to the possibility of being completely separate from the world and never having a say on many issues that could affect them in the future, such as resolutions in the UN. Also, many people felt that Ethane needed to learn from the previous experiences of the former nation, the United Kingdom of Ethane, which followed a major isolationist policy, which led to withdrawal from all nations on the international stage, and led to the inability to make any major alliances or form any strong trade bonds with other nations, which led to the ravaging of the Ethanian economy in the 1920's when the economy crashed, as many nations cut their trade with Ethane first due to their trade with other nations being much more important to them due to their alliances, which formed strong trade bonds between them. This ruled out the implementation of this international policy for Ethane, plus many difficulties in maintaining trade in a much more advanced world than the one that the old Ethane was present in all those times before.
Another policy which was open to them was following a fully militaristic policy on the international stage, and going to war with anyone that did not agree with the ways of Ethane, or dared to oppose the nation of Ethane in any of its conquests. Again, this policy was fairly unpopular among the many members of parliament in Ethane due to the risk associated with carrying out this policy internationally. Using this policy to lead Ethane's foreign policy would inhibit any progress that Ethane would wish to achieve on establishing international foreign relations with other countries abroad. Also, it would involve risks with the possibility of the destruction of Ethane on a political, economic and military scale because if Ethane were to enter a war against a superior nation to them, then they would be highly likely to be destroyed by them, or lose all their economic strength by spending all money they make on going to war. The major problem with this international policy is that Ethane was not really designed to go in pursuit of this policy, as Ethane was a mainly socialist nation, which meant that it tended to focus more on aiding people rather than opposing people. The nation of Ethane prided itself on free speech and political freedoms, so the government felt it would be hypocritical to allow this in their nation, but stop this in other nations who had elected a government that was not applicable to the Ethanian ideas and did not subscribe to Ethanian ideologies.
The final policy that Ethane could focus their direction on was a diplomatic, peaceful approach to the international stage. This would involve joining many organisations internationally which supported other nations in crisis and dealt with political issues around the globe, trying to keep peace and prosperity around the globe. It was an almost unanimous decision to follow this policy across the government and the opposition, as many people wanted to avoid conflict with other, more prosperous nations, but still wanted to develop international relations with other countries, and form closer ties and trade with other nations, which would also hopefully present any further catastrophic economic crashes in the new Ethane.

It is the pleasure of the Ethane government to announce that it is willing to become a part of a wonderful organisation, which will hopefully serve all of humanity, and work towards the greater good for the world. We wish to collaborate with the United Nations on many international efforts to guarantee peace and stability in the volatile world. Also, we wish to form closer bonds with Utopia Beach, as they are representative of our values and ideals, and we would like to enter a close relationship with them. Furthermore, we wish to develop relations between us and Grandes Terres, as our nation is heavily reliant on the tourism industry, and we wish to fix any problems you have with our nation so that your tourists can come here freely. While we understand the policy of Utopia Beach on Nova Auralaxia, we do not wish to follow the same path. This does not mean we will form closer ties with them, but we do not want to cut ourselves off from what we consider to be one of the most important nations in the world at this current time. On top of this, we have decided to not formally recognize the Palestine as a state, as they are taking away lands from Israel, which is a land in its own right, and you cannot oppose this.

As a nation that believes in full civil rights to the people, we have decided that the laws on being gay are inappropriate and unacceptable, and have decided that we will be allowing gay relationships from now on. It is no longer illegal to be gay. This matter has been brought through parliament, and passed with an overwhelming majority. While this will upset the religious leaders, I ask that they accept this ruling, and live with it. Being religious myself, I believe that we are being hypocritical of gay people, and we need to allow them the same rights as everyone else gets.

Selling Quebec

The Nova Auraluxian government after thoroughly thinking about it decided that selling Quebec was the best option. The Auraluxians wanted to keep Quebec but knew that war would just bring bloody deaths. Helensted offered to buy Quebec for $39,934,013,605.44 (1960 values), and after thinking for a while, the government of Nova Aurlauxia agreed. The government of Nova Auraluxia says that it will slowly turn over control to the Helenstedian government, and that by 1963 Quebec will be purely controlled by Helensted. Meanwhile the Auraluxians living there are being urged to go back into Nova Auraluxia.

Building up a Military

Using funds from the sold AK-47s, and its military budget for the first time since Nova Auraluxia became isolationist, it will be a professional army. The Auraluxian war machines were busy pumping out supplies, and it had 3 million AK-47s, more than the number of infantry the Auraluxians recruited. Nova Auraluxia can hold up to a manpower of 10 million. 20% of the military will be made up of infantry, which means that the Auraluxian military will have two million infantry. The Auraluxian infantry division is made up of 10,000 soldiers, which means that Nova Auraluxia has two hundred infantry divisions. However the 2 million divisions are still not operationally, they are expected to be fully trained next year, meanwhile headquarters and barracks will be built.

While it's infantry divisions are being built up, Nova Auraluxia has put up a daunting task, to build ten nuclear submarines, more importantly of the Permit-class submarines. These nuclear powered submarines are a way better version of GreaterBanks Skipjack-class submarines, having greatly improved sonar, diving depth, and silencing. These 10 submarines are going to be commissioned all at once, at 1964, meanwhile Auraluxian scientists will try to fix any errors.

Today had been a bad day. In fact, today has been one of the worst days in new Utachian history! Our nation was just recently formed last year, but there were already catastrophes everywhere. So I decided to take everything step by step.
First came the important matter of immigration. Both Greatestbanks and Grandes Terres had closed their borders to illegal immigrants seeking refuge, but I felt that we needed to give an example to other undecided nations. Therefore, I announced that all of our borders would be open to any immigrants coming from war-torn regions. Their passage into Utopia Beach would have to be recorded, of course, but only to make sure they could survive as a citizen. I worried, then, though, about how immigration might affect this country. Crime rates might go up, but it would give us and other nations who allowed immigration a cultural diversity that just couldn't be found through other means. I started to get sleepy, for it was 1:00 in the morning, and I had been working all night. But I had to keep working, for the sake of the nation. Ethane had recently joined the United Nations, previously only occupied by Asleau. Although I wanted to keep close relations with Ethane, so close we could practically be one nation, I didn't think Utopia Beach would join the United Nations until they show how they plan to help the world become a better place. Once they did, and their intentions were good, then we would probably join. I found Ethane to be a model for Utopia Beach, however, so I sent laws to Parliament granting more civil rights to more groups, such as gay people, or immigrants. Then came the founding of Ghaza on Palestine. Neither Loyalist-America nor Ethane were recognizing them, for they were founded on lands including Israel, a Holy Land of the three major religions in the world. I sent a telegram to their government, urging them to allow Israel to become independent, on its own again. Their next action will determine how they are accepted by Utopia Beach.
I yawned once again, and went to the restroom to wash up before I could go home, and, finally, to sleep. While washing my face, I heard a noise, a footstep, and I was surprised, for surely no one was working already, so soon.
I called out, "¿Quién está ahí?" but no one answered. I tried again in Portuguese, French, then English. Still no answer. I looked up at the mirror, touched my face, and thought I must have just hallucinated, because of my lack of sleep. Then I saw someone step out from behind me, with my exact same face, my exact same features, even my exact same clothing. I gasped in surprise, and the person took out a gun, and shot me two times in the stomach. I saw a white, bright, flash, then, I could not sense anything anymore.

He did not know of me, of course he did not. He gasped, and so did I, on the inside, for even I didn't know we were this much alike. Parliament had accepted the tariff, putting it into law, but even I knew it was foolish, for any nation could just go through without paying, and we could do nothing to stop them. So, using up favors and influence, I had it lowered to only 5% of goods and profits, in the hopes that no nation would react violently to the tariff, and even lower for allies, at 1%. Our nation's closest ally, though, Ethane, would not have to pay the tariff at all, for our ideals were almost exactly alike, and our nations were almost twins. I was officially still on vacation, although neither me nor my colleagues were ever really on vacation. I worked through telegrams, and I knew of Lucas's recent decisions about immigration, and the recognition (or lack of) of Ghaza. They seemed fair, but there was something different about him that I just couldn't put my finger on. But it was not for me to worry about, as I actually wanted to relax this fine day. That was, until I heard of the death of twenty eight Parliamentary members, all on the same day. Thirty-three were still missing, and they were looked for by all forces. I knew then I would not enjoy the day, but I would have to go into hiding, as well as the remaining Parliamentary members. I ran into my room, trying to rush through the crowd. I rarely unpacked, so all I hed to do was grab my things and go. I sprinted down the stairs, to what was now an empty lobby. It was strange that it had been full only minutes ago, but I had to leave, and quickly. Then, a woman came out of the shadow of the front doorway. She was tall, taller than me, and had long, dark hair rushing to her shoulders.
She smiled, and said in a thick Chinese accent, "Ah, Erasmo, you have come. I am glad that you will allow me to help this country, this fine country."
She took out a gun, and I saw her fingers itching to pull the trigger. I replied in Spanish, "Usted nunca conseguirá awy con esto! Ellos vendrán para usted!"
Then, I felt unbelievable pain in my neck, and felt something warm and sticky pouring out. I fell to the floor, and the last thing I saw was her, smiling down at me.

I went into hiding soon after the death and kidnapping of many Parliamentary members, and my only feeling was sadness when I heard of Erasmo's death. As far as I heard, the others were still alive, though, so we still had a chance against this threat, whatever this threat was. I brought my project with me, for the Utachian citizens would need it most in this time of need, without their leaders. It was plans for a new monument, a monument to the citizens of the old Utopia Beach, as well as those of the new Utopia Beach. In the center, it would have a raised platform, and on it, the tallest pole in Utopia Beach, holding up the largest flag of Utopia Beach, the new one. On the sides of the circular platform, there would be the faces of the leaders of the old Utopia Beach, our parents, representing all those that died that day. Around that would be a circle of large, straight stones, each filled with the names of those who died in that time. Any others forgotten will be added when it is brought to my attention. I was the head of truth and justice in Utopia Beach, and I would bring justice to those in the old Utopia Beach, who died in support of their country! I folded the plans, and sent it through a telegram to the main construction workers of Utopia Beach. This would buoy the spirits of the citizens of Utopia Beach in this dark time without leaders. I sat down in my chair, in a room that not even I knew the location of, to think about the recent events. I was interrupted, though, by three shots, the sign of trouble, created by my guards. The suspense was over, and I finally knew that I was not safe, for now they were coming for me. I remembered the plan, leaving the room through the back door, cleverly camouflaged by a false wall. I pulled down the false wall quickly, putting it back up behind me, then ran through the back door, careful not to make a sound. I met with my guards, outside the lawn, already in the car. I jumped in, and we sped away at sickening speeds. The plans had already been sent, though, and no one would be able to break the Utachian citizens' spirit now.

I felt dread when writing to my boss of my failure. But his reply was surprisingly calm, only telling me to make sure it got done. I would not fail again, for I was better than the rest, given the hardest target. No one could stop us now.

Eristia captures Cuba and small islands
The Eristian army found the supply ship waiting for them when they reached Cuba. Those 200000 brave Erists marched for 3 days through Cuba to finally meet the opposing military. The Eristian military fought a bloody battle against the Cuban military. The generals leading the two armies had agreed to a gentleman's war. The Cubans were outnumbered 1 to 4. The general, Erick Spielberg, however had another plan. After he agreed to a having an "honorable" battle he decided to call in the Tiger IIs and the Super Sabres. Just before both militaries went into battle with each other the Tiger II s and Super Sabres arrived bombing the 40000 Cuban soldiers. The Super Sabres then flew off to capture smaller islands that had virtually no military. At the order of lieutenant general, Alejandro Ronaldo. In the bombing of the Cubans by the Super Sabres the Cuban military had lost 60% of it's men. The Eristian military than charged to do battle against the crippled army. The Erists killed 8000 men and captured another 6000 with 2000 men escaping death or capture. The Eristian military only lost 6000 men. Those 2000 men retreated to Havana to be the last protection for the Cubans government. The Eristian military then marched onward to Havana. They reached there in another 2 days. The only resistance were the 2000 escaped soldiers and 5000 soldiers that stayed to protect Havana. The Eristian army, now with only 100000 men.. Withthr other 100000 men heading to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The Eristian military utterly demolished the tiny opposing army of 7000 men. Outnumbered 7 to 100. The Eristian military then marched on and captured all of Cuba.
