Okay Tecton, most important question; what are the physical properties of these ion blades in your canon? Can they be parried/blocked/deflected/whatever without requring magnetic fields to disperse the ions? Or will attempting to do so only end in cauterized flesh and sadness? I know the answers to these questions from a hard science perspective, but that's not the most important consideration in this instance. I just want to know what properties you ascribed to them, regardless of the realism. I won't ask you to alter anything unless it's absolutely critical, I just want to make sure I don't get steamrolled over a mere technological misunderstanding.

Do we have the three impartial judges decided for this match? Or are we just going to wait until a problem emerges to decide who determines the outcome?

It really depends on the properties of the other weapon. If it has low heat tolerance, the ion blade would likely cut it like butter, but I am assuming you already thought of that, if it has a high heat tolerance, obviously it would be able to withstand more contact. I'm not exactly sure how it would react with plasma, but what ever is most logical scientifically I'm fine with. I feel that you will find that I do usually prefer the realistic version of things to something that is likely incorrect.

Good question. I was wondering about whether or not we should establish a BPC (Bollocks Prevention Committee) for every match, but I don't think it will be necessary unless said match starts veering towards that direction.

Seems quite fair, but if the blade is composed of ions or plasma or whatever, that essentially means that is more of a short-range projector rather than a straightforward sword, and that rather than being blocked or parried as a solid weapon would, it can be shielded against and briefly dispersed or disrupted instead. I'm fine either way, it's just good to know.

I could be a judge seeing as I am too late to actually become involved in the games.

I foresee it being used mostly for the Deux Ex Machinima matches. -nod-

So, before I go any further, I really need a definitive answer; can your ion blades be parried or blocked by a solid object, or no?

Yes, though it depends on the material's resistance to heat on if it would actually do any good or survive the parry.

Speaking of, how heat resistant is the glaive's poll thing?

Most of the glaive, including the pole, is made from titanium carbide, which is extremely heat resistant. Obviously, this is most useful for the blade so as to prevent it from melting when the plasma sheath function is used. TiC melts at over 3000 degrees Celsius, and, as a refractory material, retains its fantastic strength at high temperatures. For example, it is sometimes used as heat shielding for atmospheric reentry vehicles.

Of course, she can only keep the pole in contact with an extremely hot surface for a limited amount of time before the pole becomes too hot to hold.

I'm quite enjoying envisioning the battle as the plasma vents go off all around. Speaking of plasma vents, expect me to give you the occasional boot up the backside if the battle starts to get boring. Once your fight's over, I'm genuinely looking forward to kicking Frenco's arse the upcoming fight between Trotskaya and Harrigan. At long last the true deadliest warrior of the Frencoverse shall be decided once and for all!

Unless it comes to a draw, of course. But WHERE'S THE FUN IN THAT?!!!

If Autocratic Britain is still alive, we could jumpstart the second Razor's Edge fight.

And on the topic of jumpstarting fights: Singapore, what would be your position on starting the battle between Timofei Prime and Samuel Chin early so as to get the DEM contest moving?

Should we send out TGs to people to notify them about an impending round that they are participating in?
