The Second Epilian Confrence
Host nation: North Covenant

A new conference to formally introduce the Epilian nationstates with one another.

The purpose of this confrence is to open relations between the neighboring states of Epilo

North Covenant is honoured to host this Conferences in the hopes of stabilizing and improving relations with its neighbors. The Conference will take place in the city of Dechrig in the Kuste Province, overlooking the mighty Epilian Sea. As of the opening of this Confrence, the current member-states of Epilo are as follows:

"Give it to me," The president clearly stressed snapped at the man. The young man hands over the telegram.
President Dibaro reads the letter, "Interesting. I feel this could be very helpful for us"

I would like to thank you for inviting me, as well as our fellow nations of Epilo,
to this event, I am looking forward to becoming more acquainted with all of you.

Sitting in his office, Prime Minister Thomas Aurelius hears a knock at his door. "Come in." he says, knowing that it is most likely Billy, a new intern working in his office. "Hello sir, I have a letter for you from the President Stewart." said Billy nervously. Thomas reaches out and grabs the letter, and says "Thank you Billy." before Billy walks out of the office.

Having recently been promoted to CEO of Sythesis Laboratories, Karl Muller was selected as the ambassador of the people of Reich Kuste in the first conference of for the nations and special guest of Epilo. Although the current territorial situation between the people of Reich Kuste and North Covenant was tenuous, it was the unchangeable reality of the situation as of now. As always, the unofficial global leader of Reich Kuste would work to ensure the economic opportunity for his people to compete in the increasingly globalized world. This conference he thought might be a good step in restoring his people credibility after the collapse of the previous regime due to poor policy management.

President Stewart,
As the new CEO of the largest Kustean company, I will be representing the interest of our people to address the challenges this region faces across the globe economically.

President Flores got into the presidential limo without giving any comments to the press. The State of the Republic Address had gone much more sour than she was hoping for. With the Socialist Party gaining a substantial majority in the mid-term elections and talks of a separatist movement happening in the southern provinces, she felt as if she were losing control of the government. The country had yet again adopted an isolationism policy, something she had strongly campaigned against. Fernando, her Chief of Staff was waiting in the limo for her. She massaged her temples and looked at him, "Well that went well" she said as she was handed a manila folder. "What's on the agenda for this week?" She asked as the limo began to drive away from the Legislative Palace.
"Well," Fernando started as he opened an identical manila folder, " there is a cabinet meeting on Saturday, a meeting with House leaders over the budget on Monday-".
"Anything else Fernando?" She asked annoyed.
"Uh, yes madam President," he opened another folder and began to shift through papers, "Governor Reynoso called to schedule and appointment about the you know what happening in the southern provinces"
"Not now, call back say I'm too busy. Maybe in a week or so."
"Ok, also there's an invitation from President Stewart to a Pan Epilo Conference in North Covenant"
"I don't know why they keep sending those, Congress has blocked any attempt to socialize with the outside world," she looked out the window.
"Well it might not be such a bad idea to attend. Making friends in the region could help us, especially if the situation in the south escalates out of control. It would also help your approval ratings if you defy Congress on this isolation issue. You could issue an executive order to send diplomats."
She continued to look out the window. The car fell silent except for low hum of the engine. Fernando looked back down at the folder and picked up another paper. He was about the read the memo when the President broke the silence.
"Clear my schedule Fernando and book me a flight to North Covenant, I'll be attending this conference personally." The car came to a stop in front of the Presidential Palace.
"Y-yes Ma'm! I'll send word to North Covenant right away!" He said energetically. Finally the President was going to stand up to Congress. The car door opened and President Flores exited the car.
"If that is all Fernando then I shall take my leave, goodnight" The car door closed and she began to walk toward the palace. It was finally time for her to regain control of her government.

After much consideration I have decided that it is in the best interest of our region to establish strong diplomatic ties and to work together to promote peace and understanding. I will personally be attending this conference and I hope we can lay the foundation for a strong and durable friendship between the nations of Epilo.

William Stewart arrived at the conference in the diplomatic car. Many spectators and journalist had come from all across the charter to report on the event. Putting up with the few obligatory pictures, and interviews he emerged from the crowd quite exhausted. He immediately walked over to the bar where his aide was waiting for him with a drink in hand.

"Thank you Johnathan" William said as he took a sip of his refreshment. "Who is here so far?"

"Delegations from Yoshi Islaund, Lairendor, and Azalea Republic have arrived as well as representatives of Reich Kuste." Johnathan replied quickly "Hopefully more will join us later".

"I see... Our relations with Azalea Republic has been quite fragile recently with the NAMI incident."

"Yes sir it is my understanding that President Flores attendance is as much a political message domestically as it is internationally."

"What about Lairendor?"

"We do not know much about them it seems they are a former Principality or Kingdom however it seems they have recently become a Commonwealth and reentered the international scene. Other then that not much is known yet."

"I see and of course Yoshi Islaund is here no doubt looking for friends. Johnathan if you would please begin talking to the Lairendor Party I will hopefully join you after talking with the President of Azalea, have Heather and Jack on stand by to talk to the Kuste and Yoshi delegates if they wish to talk."

William walked over to President Flores as she talked with her various aides and companions.

"It is a pleasure to meet you in person President Flores. The Covenetian people must thank you for your help in returning the bodies of the lost to their families. It is a tragedy that must not be forgotten. I hope we will be able to discover the culprits behind this viscous action."

Johnathan returned to the bar grabbing a Cola, as he didn't drink. Lairendor had only appeared on the Covenetian radar in the last few months. Much about the country was still shrouded in mystery something he hoped to clear up. The Covenant needed economic ties to north eastern Epilo if they wanted to stay in control of Esten and the Coloniae. Especially with Rousseau being removed from the Province.

From the sky, a loud roaring is heard as the Chaos Cruiser descends from space above the capital building, and however fearsome there are also several white capsules that appear to either be covering or replacing the weapons systems. As the ship descends, it begins to slow to a stop several hundred feet above the building, and a smaller, sleeker ship is launched down to the entrance. Once the Emperor exits the shuttle, it flies back to the ship and it rises back into the atmosphere just as quickly as it had arrived. As the emperor of the Chaos Kingdom rises to his feet from jumping out, he gazes among the awestruck crowd, shrugs, and speaks in his deep, melodious voice with a devilish smirk "Got a new toy." He proceeds to stroll straight past the immobilized crowd towards the building, and knocks a familiar tune into the door, similar to the infamous - -- - -, --

The Charismatic Emperor Lord Chaos is adorned in a sleeveless black long coat/trench coat crossover, covered with glowing red lining, and his black Fade haircut rising proudly above his ashen forehead. No one knows why his skin is the color of ash, or why his eyes are a brilliant crimson, but no one can deny the awe they see when they gaze upon him. It is also seen that as he strides, the pants he wears underneath are simple black jeans, and that he does not wear a shirt, leaving his mild toning revealed every time the coat parts in its unbuttoned glory. It should also be noted that Lord Chaos wears a pair of black sneakers, to top off his informal attire. He also appears to radiate with a warm faint red glow.

The surge in your economy recently is of interest to the Covenant as we hope to establish trade routes through our eastern ports. If not already adopted we encourage free trade between nations as it seems to create a more inclusive and benefits all parties greatly. If statistics are correct your dairy industry is a strong force in your nation and would make a great export around Epilo and the world. Most importantly we want to get to know your nation.

"Aurevoir, ma cherie." Deputy Chancellor, Lydie Montillier kisses her daughter and hugs her husband as the twin prop aircraft idles near by. She waves goodbye again at she gets into the plane and takes off on her diplomatic meeting with the other nations of Epilo. This is the first time she will represent the protectorate on the international scene without the influence of Nouvel Acadie.
"Ahhhh..." She sighs as she pours herself a glass of wine. Her advisor also takes a seat, filling his glass. He gives her a tablet and briefs her on the updated party schedule.
"The Chamber of Deputies has supported you on this endeavour however there have been rumours that it is pointless and we are wasting our time.. it would be wise to not interact with these other nations too much." He takes a sip. She scoughs,
"We are an Island but the doesn't mean that channel of water will protect our economy or political interests off our land. If the chamber wishes for an election, fine. But I have the people's approval and hopefully I can help discuss some trade relations to stimulate our failing economy... it's not like it can get any worse." Her advisor frowns and nods in agreement.

Thomas looked at Johnathan strangely. "Where in the world did you get the idea we had a strong dairy industry?" he asked. "Our country is mostly vegan, and our citizens are probably some of the most environmentally friendly in the world." said Thomas proudly.

"Anyways, yes, I am the official delegate. It isn't often we get invited to these sorts of things, so I decided to personally attend. Oh, and about our economy, it has been doing very well recently thanks to some changes my government has made. The Nationalists destroyed our economy during their dictatorship, and ever since we overthrew them we had been having a hard time. But yes, trade between our nations sounds like a good idea to me. Of course I will have to discuss it with my colleagues back in Lairendor."

President Dibaro's party discovered that VP Grenin had arranged a meeting with Lichi, when asked if they should turn back, President Dibaro quickly said, "No, we are going to have to get allies before things turn south up north."
The Yoshish President entered the meeting between Epilo's leaders. The President was handed a wine glass upon entering and quickly went to discuss matters with the leaders present. He entered and approached Jonathan and Thomas. He greeted them most wonderfully, "Prime Minister Aurelias, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, and Jonathan Du Voue, I have heard much about your loyalty to President Stewart."

Traffic leaving Goldene Stat was terrible, So much so, Karl had almost called it a diplomatic concern for his safety. Still it delayed him an hour and he'd miss much of the needed shoulder rubbing that comes from many of these events. He looked at the list of other nations attending. All of which did not have any interest with the people of Reich Kuste, as an isolationist, a socialist, and a developing nation would be atrending. However it was a good opportunity to demonstration in steps towards international diplomacy. Time passed quickly on the highway, and before he knew it, he dozed off.

He awoke to the repidiate "sir" from his driver just a few minutes outside the capital. While many saw a thriving place, he saw a nation benefiting from the labor of his people.

Once outside the capital building in his car, he straightened his apparel, looked towards some of his staff and his interns "Ladies and Gentleman, we are the representives of Reich Kuste, the fate of our people is in our hands"

Photographers were snapping pictures of them till the doors, where once inside, it was a bit more of what he was accustomed to. He firmly yet steadily made his way towards the Prime Minister Stewart, and upon arrival gave a firm handshake
"Thank you for hosting this Prime Minister, this is a good opportunity for our rising continent. I dare say these talks will be very productive"

He proceeded towards the other delegations before the session started more formally.

"I see please forgive my ignorance on such matters. We will keep such details in mind in the future. North Covenant had a vegetarian frenzy a few years ago which went so far as to ban meat. The law has since been repealed although a large amount of our population hasn't gone back to eating it due to its expense. If you find yourself famished you will find plenty of options to suit your dietary restrictions. On the economics we understand this conference is to get the ball rolling not push anyone into making rash decisions. Our diplomats will make sure that we can establish the proper channels between our governments in the future. I would suggest talking to some of your neighbors in the... huh I guess there isn't a name for the small sea you are on.

President Flores waived to the crowd as she got out of the car. There was a sea of reporters all of whom wanted an interview. She smiled politely as she began to walk towards the main building. It was wise of her not to make any public comments until after the conference. It was bad enough that Congress was out for blood after she announced she was attending this conference. She spotted Antonio Mejia, one of the most recognizable Azalean news reporters. She stopped to say hello, she knew this would be broadcasted back home.
"Madam President you look stunning as always," Antonio offered his hand. President Flores shook his hand and thanked him for the compliment, "may I ask you a few question for the Azalea News Network?"
"Unfortunately I am running late for the meeting, but I'll look for you afterwards." She shook his hand again and made her way towards the doors. The room inside was beautifully decorated with Kuste traditional art. The other diplomats where already there talking among themselves. The doors opened again as Fernando walked in looking flustered.
"So many reporters out there, and that Antonio Mejia, I couldn't shake him off me" He took out his handkerchief and dabbed at his forehead. He then looked up and saw President Stewart making his way towards them. "Madam President, the President of North Covenant is coming this way."
"It's show time Fernando, let's show the Azalean people that this was a good move for the country."

President Stewart approached the Azalean delegation and said, "It is a pleasure to meet you in person President Flores. The Covenetian people must thank you for your help in returning the bodies of the lost to their families. It is a tragedy that must not be forgotten. I hope we will be able to discover the culprits behind this viscous action."

President Flores offered her hand, "President Steward, the pleasure is all mine. I would like offer my condolences to you and your nation. Rest assured our Department of the Interior is hard at work to find any clues as to who could have perpetrated such a heinous act. We hope your government will continue to aid us as we search for answers."

Lord Chaos bursts into the conference room disruptively, yelling mildly "Apologies for being late, friends, but I found the minibar!" It is well known that the Emperor is quite busy with personal affairs, and was seen earlier by a few talking to a man in a tuxedo with dark sunglasses about an unknown topic, a topic to the likes of which was causing a furrowed brow on the Emperor. He walks over to an empty seat and places his hands on the back, resting elegantly on it, and saying in a pleasant tone, "I am also not too brought up in the formalities, and this is my first time being to one of these events, I am unattuned at the know-how, and don't have many regional friends, simply because there is a LOT that happens in my nation. Let me be frank in that it is a delight to be here, talking to all you friends, and let this be the first time that my first name be publicly said. Due to my background, I have been quite forbade from revealing much about myself, my name is Jonathan, quaint for mine such, Emperor of the Chaos Kingdom, and to my subjects I am known as the venerable Lord Chaos. As much of a fantasy draw that that sounds to be, it is a tradition passed down upon generations. Oh my! I do appear to be interrupting something... pardon me, but let me quickly go relieve myself, uh- where might the nearest restroom be?"

"Of course" William said as he accepted her hand shake. "I am glad you could make it. We were afraid you might not show up with your countries recent foreign policy. As a fellow republic to another I bid you good luck in your next election cycle. Our nation has growing concerns about the lack of activity within ODE, and were wondering your stance on the issue being a member state as well."

He was become very happy and excited about all of this trade talk, it was something his country need greatly. While Lairendor is relatively self-sustaining, the economy is not doing as good as he would like, and trade would provide a big boost in the economy.

Lord Chaos appears next to the delegates, and says excitedly "Ok, so I heard 'trade', did someone say trade?" He giddily attempts to gain a space in their somewhat enclosed formation.

Answering some brief questions with vague answers, she didn't want to give the Chamber of Deputies any reason to suspect foreign interest. A fashion reporter kept her attention, asking about the white skirt and jacket outift. She quickly made her way into the building. Immediately, she looked at Karl. Her advisor noticed and gasped... "You have got to be joking, no, no, no.... the Chamber will rip you apart." She silences him by taking his drink and walking over to Karl Muller. She knew very little other than both nations had economic wounds that needed attention. She felt it was worth the risk.
"Karl Muller, I presume?" She curtsies, and continues. "I am Lydie Montillier, Deputy Chancellor of Oleron. Im glad to see Reich Kuste is not absent from this conference. I thought I was going to be wasting my time. Tell me, are you open to trading agreements with any of the nations here? Ongoing negations at home have been, inconclusive. Though the economies of the region are better off, we are notwithstanding. As a capitalist orientated nation, I had hoped you have need of resources that I can offer?"
She takes a large sip of the alcoholic beverage, trying her best not to look desperate.

The Emperor of the Chaos Republic is seen casting an eye in the Deputy Chancellor's direction, on multiple occasions. He soon leaves the small group where he was chatting to go retrieve another drink from the bar. It is also heard that he ordered his drink virgin...

Yes of course, we have many resources to trade, although we may lose some to Lichi Bando if we do not receive aid should a war breaks out, The oil laying off the coast of the beautiful islands is incredibly valuable, and Lichi seizing the islands would allow them to seize the oil.

It is certainly an area of interest and the threat of lichi bando seizing the coastal islands is increased if it is left untapped.
