However, the war located off of Caracasus had damaged the Reich's international reputation, one already damaged after Otto Von Hans had banned Islam, and taken over a sovereign nation as a colony. The German Democratic Union, the President's party, feared that their leader was becoming too imperialistic and had abandoned assocation with him in hopes of finding a new candidate for the next election in five years. Several days after however, the President had found a constituonal loophole and activated an old piece of legistation from the German Socialist Aryan Union's rule titled "The enabling act" which granted the president the ability to grant laws without the Reichstag's vote. This had triggered alarms in all parties, from the German Worker's Communisg Party, the Fascist Party, the Democratic union and the Socialist Labour Party to the high ranking generals of the Reichswehr.. Which led them to plot an arrest of the President..
The President was sitting at his desk, writing a message to the Reichstag, strongly worded about how it was their fault the war on Caracasus ended so badly, and how they where at fault for letting Marxists bomb the country. Outside a military humvee had parked in the drive way of thr Presidential home. Wilhelm Schultz,a leading general of the military stepped out along with three armed Reichswehr soldiers in combat gear. The General used his identity to gain access by security and bursted in the room of the President.
Otto Von Hans shrieked and raised his hands as two of the soldiers walked to him, assault rifles aiming for the President.
"What is the meaning of this?" Otto yelled "I am the President!"
"Herr Reichspräsident, you are under arrest for defying the constitution of the fatherland." Wilhelm stated
In the coming days since the announcement of the President's arrest, the entire government was torn down to be rebuilt. Only a provisional military government in power, new elections where to be held for all positions. But as the days passed by with little work being accomplished, civil unrest grew. The Fascist party had started killing communists in the steets and vice versa. Stores where being looted and buildings where in smoke and flame as Police began quitting their jobs due to no pay. Parks became unkept trashholes, and public services began qutting due to no pay or funding. Leading to the Reichswehr becoming law enforcement.
One night rioters had gathered at the Reichstag which was protected by a wall of Reichswehr soldiers in riot gear. screamed and threw rocks at a line of Reichswehr riot control, causing panic amongst the soldiers. One private looked onto the massive crowd and spotted a man about to throw a fire molotav into the group of soldiers. The soldier paniced and fired his SMG into the crowd of people, causing the other soldiers to follow him and fire into the crowd as well, slaughtering the mass of people.
BigtopianTV News was the first to broadcast, placing the toll at a hundred and claiming it was a mass murder by the German government on its own people.
