Eastern Trenches

Postby Federation of Aligned Species » Sat Aug 01, 2015 11:05 pm

The Marines hold back from the yolkia. They keep their distance as Forcers block incoming fire with their vectors, slaying any yolkia within its vectors reach by snapping their spine in half as the body is folded in two. Yolkia from the first trench who died begin to rise to their feet, their flesh begins being eaten away. These new thralls rush at the enemy trenches. The Marines stand back, laying down suppressive fire. Suddenly an orbital bombardment strikes the yolkia defensive position and several SHPMAC blasts hit the defensive lines, glassing the surrounding area. Thralls jump into enemy trench, even after being shot at dozens of times. They maul their opponents and bite into their faces spewing nanites that then turn the yolkia into thralls.

En route to Mercote

Postby Federation of Aligned Species » Sat Aug 01, 2015 11:55 pm

The 30,000 warships blockading the safe isle begin to depart as the warp storm in space is begining to clear, the federation has need for these warship else where. On way to Mercote, 1.25 million Federation troops march(much like the seige of Berlin) most being thralls. A detachment of 7000 has been sent to the mountains to destroy the emp device, which prevents marine's from piloting their power armor. Now their armor weighs down on them as they wear it. This slows them tremendously

Yo FoAS, Check back a few posts. You'll find that WestCov set up some EMPs you'll have to destroy over the next few posts 'till you can pull stuff like that ^ again by Mêrcoté (like we had to destroy the beacons). Can you edit your post to reflec that? Cheers man

30,000 war ships would not even fit in that geographical area. You have a serious Godmodding problem and off-base sense of realism

in reply to both OOC posts in their following order
I thought I read it correctly, I will double check it and edit accordingly. Thanks for the heads up.

30,000 can be fit as they can be submerged, water leveled, in the air, and in low orbit. I have 2 mil warships in total dispatched to this planet. They are spread throughout the system currently

okay so I read it correctly but does that effect warships in low orbit. I'm just trying to get all the information right. Does this emp barrier cover their city as well, not allowing bombers to carpet bomb. Western covenant pm me this info so we may fix this problem if there is one

Captain Rousseau of l'Aigle Rapide was the coordinating vessel of the fleet of Acadien Corsairs. As the first ships entered Covenant waters, he made the strategic decision to use VHF Marine Channel 13, a casual vessel-to-vessel channel to issue orders to the remaining fleet, rather than the usual 16 or 22A - which would be the most likely to be monitored.

"The key to this operation, " he reminded the other captains, "is to remain as decentralized as possible. If we come under attack, I want them to have to deal with 23 separate targets, not one huge mass of vessels. Vessels Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot and Golf are to pass through the channel as swiftly as possible, and take up dispersed positions west of Mercôté. Hotel, India, Juliet, Kilo, Lima, Mike, and November are to remain in the gulf between Covenant and Ahalmaz. All other vessels are to enter the straight north of Mercôté and await orders. The first vessels will be docking shortly, at approximately 0100 hours. Only one ship is to be in the harbor area or at dock at a time. You are each to take as many refugees as you can safely manage. Keep a lookout for trouble Situational Awareness will be key to this operation - report all concerns directly through me - Oscar Vessel 486. If you receive no response, continue down the chain of command as distributed prior to departure. Do not clog the airways with reports, but follow the established chain of communication. Over."

The vessels responded in turn, and shut off all of their running lights. At this point, they needed to rely on their navigational instruments, the stars, and the light of a very bright moon to move into position. Captain Rousseau prayed aloud that the refugees in port had been organized according to plan, and were ready for a swift boarding.

OCC
OK, godmodding might be pushed, please refrain from posting until we figure it out, don't be to hostile against others out of character and please, don't swear at others in the occ.
That being said, I'm going to take an arbitrary view and I'm going to consult with any other space nation to also be arbitrary and access the situation. After, and depending, he says what he thinks I'll consult each of you what your idea of what nerfs should be applied. Nonetheless be it the answer, we will all have to make sacrifices to make a fun rp. So from  now this is PAUSED.
Make battle plans or some news recaps, no major rp's and no new alliances until the issue has been solved. Do your fact books or something other than advance the war. It's still raging so don't start a new event that you can't participate in. (Hosting a marathon in the west cov's mainland).
To not limit your ability to do other rp's just think of this war as ongoing.
Also please state if you're IC or OOC.

OOC this rp is going back in action after some nerfs of mutual agreement with me and the federation. Said needs are implemented to highlight any weaknesses that the vast size of the federation inflicts on itself. Like limited versatility. We have also agreed to cut the size of the federations ships. Please feel free to contact me about any godmodding you see from anyone's part, I don't want to make another pause but I will of necesary. Another reminder is to please diferenciate between IC and OOC, as it can be confusing, remember to be respectfull OOC, IC you can be as big of a duchebag as you want.

"Mother" a young man looks at the crater made by their artillery. He sees the Yolkian flag on the floor, he jumps form the trench and picks it up, around his the soldiers shoot at the thrall mass advancing towards him. To the militia the thralls would tear them up, but again st the profecional army they were nothing. One by one they collapse on the feet of Huascar de Servantes, he looks at the defending marines stuck in position. Then from behind his ears the taunts of his friends fly towards the federations forces. "They're digging their own graves!" The men laugh and a small grin invades Huascar's face, "they won't even do their own work, they send us against us because we're better!" He looks at the silent faces of the marines. 'Silence is confidence when insecurities are loud' he mutters this over and over in his head then his comrades line up next to him. He looks at the general and repeats.
"Silence is confidence when insecurities are loud..."
"Only a fool is confident" as he speaks the motorizada cavalry hit the back of the federation, they target the vectors generators as the shields dwindle the rifle fire punctures through, they are caught of guard and some attempt to reform yet the cavalry mercilessly crashes through, the infantry in the trenches charge and of all, there is one boy running down the hill with a flag leading the men as the federation is slaughtered, the men drive in to the marines when the generals voice thunders, "stop, we are not like them!" Like a child caught doing something wrong they stop. The remaining marines are ties up as they are escorted to the trenches. The sheltered forces that his in the forest return to the sound of men laughing and constant "you missed the fun"'s.

Captain Rousseau quietly and deftly pulled l'Aigle Rapide into the slip in the harbor at Mercôté. The moonlight provided exactly the amount of light necessary to enable him to operate without running lights on, and the crew quickly pulled the lines tight around the pilings, secured the ship up against the dock, and figure-eighted the lines around the cleats. On the dock a young Peruanan man confirmed that the evacuation mission had begun, and ran to the nearest refugee camp to signal the waiting and terrified residents.

Gypsies, French-speaking Covenanters, Germans, even Japanese-speaking men, women, and children hurried toward the ship, carrying all they could on their backs and in their arms. Mothers attempted to hush crying babies, fathers silenced their wide-eyed children from asking questions, and self-appointed rescue-facilitators - who they were, the Captain had no idea - waved people along.

They boarded the ship, and the crew directed them to both fore and aft stairwells, down into the sleeping berths and even further into the low-ceilinged cargo hold.

Some three hundred refugees in all crowded into l'Aigle Rapide. Finally, the Captain signaled that he could take no more; he instructed the on-dock facilitators to let the refugees know to expect the next ship in approximately 30 minutes.

The lines were loosed, and the ship began silently plying the waters back towards Nouvel Acadie.

Bridge, OSS Protector, Mercôté

"Do you see what I see, Admiral?"

The voice awoke Admiral Freja Luft. She'd been asleep at the back of the bridge. She deserved it: before, she'd been awake for 39 hours straight and she had been completely exhausted. As the powerful Wnescia Fleet had crossed the Yolkian Bay towards Mercôté, they'd been assaulted by two squadrons of Federation warships. Admiral Luft had refused to get some sleep until she was sure they had been defeated. This had taken a long time, even when outnumbered the Federation can put up a good fight. Fortunately, after five fighters were launched from the OSS Protector, the Federation was forced to retreat from the Oceani fleet.
Roll for the sea battle= 15/20. Clear defender victory.

But that was yesterday, Freja slowly opened her eyes.

"Why," she asked "what do you see?" The sailor didn't respond. He just smiled and nodded to what lay in front of the vessel. And it was a sight that made the Admiral smile.

"The Acadians" she grinned. A few miles before the Protector lay the city of Mercôté, picturesque despite the circumstances on the Archon shore. But even better was the clearly identifiable ships that could be seen pulling into and out of port there: ships flying the flag of Nouvel Acadie. The evacuation force had arrived.

Hundreds of warships lower from orbit and set themselves below the clouds. A few gunships are sent down to the surface. They land in the outskirts of the war torn city. Marines armed heavily deploy securing the area before a Tokarii and the Fleet Master Iros step out of one gunship. Iros looks at the city,"All this for nothing... Tokarii, lead me to whom ever still lurks here! It's time to end this."

The Tokarii nods and issues 12 Marines to follow as they lead Iros to the city.

Above Juniper

Postby Federation of Aligned Species » Thu Aug 06, 2015 2:28 pm

Fleet Master Seki sits in his hover throne watching video feed of the Federation Capital system and surrounding space. War designates the entire system and warships litter dark space and the solar system. The enemy warships continue to pour out of the planet Deka and arriving out of hyperspace. The intensity of the space battle is felt as warships are blown to bits upon arrival to the system.

"Deka..." He sighs.

The entire system and surrounding dark space is just a grave yard continuing to grow. He switches video feed to another of the federation's wars. Kefalonians fight back the thousands, if not millions of Marines across the A-17 K desert. A planet contested for over a hundred years. Plasma bolts zip past brave Kefalonian defenders, their disintegrator rays hitting front line marines. Overhead hundreds of Gunships cloud the sky.

Another feed show the super planet Hellum, a metal world, as Federation forces occupy the cities on the surface. Buildings that rise higher than the clouds exchange fire and occasionally a building crumbles. The fall would take a day to hit the ground... Spider tanks crawl up the sides of these buildings and target the rebels inside the buildings, spraying gas.

Seki looks to the last feed of his home system, which had been the sight of a Union invasion. The entire system was decimated, but not by the Union. The federation nuked the planet from orbit and left the Union with nothing to take.

The warships begins the process of firing the Warp Laser to open a warp hole," 150th Marine fleet, engage Warp Lasers. We're going home."
Like that the 150th Marine fleet had retreated from the Juniper System. They head for another galaxy to alert Summit of its findings.

Tigrillo

Postby Yolkia » Thu Aug 06, 2015 2:38 pm

"Sir, the federation is back!" The young errand erupts into the room. He takes a breather. "I think they want to retake the city" laughter erupts in the room, Cebrian laughs for a solid minute until he hears the heavy footsteps that he fears most.
"Honey, how are you doing, looking forward fine with your... you know" a tall darkskinned woman looks him from underneath the lights,
"What's with the laughter, the city is under siege again" the deep voice rumbles the walls and she's not we've screaming.

"I know what you were going to say, listen, I've come as fast as I could after you sent me the letter. How are the boys?"
"Castilla is in Castilla, traed and locked with the federation. And Penúltimo is in the eternal battle" he stopped and looked at the errand who had a grin during the hole ordeal. He signaled him to leave for the other generals.
"That leaves our options limited to defence, doesn't it?" Cebrian laughed a little more "what plan do you have?" He wore a smile that was iconic to those near him, "last time you had that fucking smile you nearly died"
"I won that battle"
"I'm not talking about that battle"
"That was totally worth it" he's smile crept even more.
"What do you want to do now" he stood from his laughing corner and slid a map open, "you've trenches in? Again?!" She couldn't believe the same tactic he always used would be used again "they're gonna mow us down"
"These aren't our trenches, it's theirs!" He couldn't believe himself, "we had enough time to reserve on their tech, whilst some things like prosthetics failed horribly, we have managed to steal their artillery and ground armour. The men are trained and experienced. We vacant lose this fight, are you kidding me, we're invin-
"Alejandro Gray de said he was invincible, you know how he ended" Cebrian looked back at her, "you killed him, this point of power has blinded you to your weakness" the errand boy started chukling. "Boy, I know it's funny but bring me some water"
"Pkease" he interrupted, "what are you talking about, we can't be pushed back"
"They have superior air power, I've gotten some reaserch from the western covenant, they've developed EMP walls or domes around Mercotê. We should attempt the same. We could also cause disorder buy EMP'ing them. If we have the EMPs of course."
"We have millions of anti-aircraft guns around and inside Tigrillo, they aren't getting any air inside. The EMP launch could-
"Will work" these things are like Bandoan children, you take their WiFi and we've won. How about motorized Cavalry?"
"Penúltimo is dead, that's all the riders I'm the country!"
"There is another, a girl in the trenches, her name is Sara Trufa, and she's the one you need. Fast and cunning she will crush the federation again. Call for her to speed here"
He issued the errand boy and he ran out "now I must secure the northern sector, muster an army and push the federation in Castilla-
"I'm not moving from Tigrillo!"
"Of course you won't. I'm telling the boy in the door, a young general Francisco Reyes stood there. "Take the guys you used on the beacon and clear Castilla"
"Please" she interrupted, the boy ran out looking for the extreme delivery squad. "Were going to need time for Sara to arrive, and if-
"Please, don't worry for the time, I'll take care of it the two carried on the planning as he began work on an outside project, he needed to deliver a message to the federation but no one wanted to run there, after a couple shots of Micalcohol he had the perfect plan. He rigged a small rc car with two bobble eyes and tied a letter to the trunk. He began to drive it to the federation's moving forces, it reaches the front line and gets shot. The letter falls down on the ground, inside it reads.
Dear Federation,
My name is Cebrian Riesser, I command the limited sized defences, I'd wish to talk to you on behalf of the Yolki to attempt to bring peace to our nations. Let's not kill each other any lo get, I expect your attendance some 5 kilometers from the city
Dearly Cebrian.

The trench men had already secured that area, sentries and militia were there and they were more than capable of holding their own. The long March lasted some days as they moved through, the entire lands had been cleared as the soldiers expected they had some supplies from the small light Yolki navy, with the Federation busy they could supply the men. The train army that had passed through dropped some men, enough to complete a full force, Sara Trufa and her riders had left for the capital, the only thing more important to Frederico Montero. The way was desolate. He had arrived at the hills outside the city as the artillery begins to settle his scouts report that there are barely any troops stationed in the city, apart from some small towers and suply points. The rest of the soldiers have left the area, we don't know why or where. After hearing the report he tags the artillery towards the towers, they are a mix of explosive shells and shrapnel shells. First the shell tears the walls and roofs and then the shrapnel kills the guards, the marines begin to scatter to the houses as more and more shells fall in the massive city that was once the capital. From there the marines awaited orders as more and more shells fell from above, in the other side of the city another artillery division began their shelling, rather than aiming for the men they I'm aimed at the structures. Wishing to eliminate all posible cover. The men wished to charge at the position of the defenders but Frederico wasn't willing to waste lives when he could waste money. Reports by the scouts tell of the movement of the Federation, they had encircled the train army and was waiting to strike. Frederico ordered the men to prepare to move, the artillery was mobile enough to leave as minutes notice. He glares down the city as smoke filled the air, an old black sky takes over as again, Old-time is under siege.

Mercôté

The Corsairs worked through the night, one ship at a time, racing against time. By sunrise, seven ships had docked, loaded passengers, and headed east to escape the war zone as quickly as possible. Some 2,100 refugees were en route to Nouvel Acadie.

The tension was heightened as Captain Rousseau broke through the relative radio silence.

"All Corsairs, this is Captain Rousseau, l'Aigle Rapide 486. Reports indicate that ground fighting has resumed and the Federation may be sending in reinforcements. All remaining Corsairs, upon boarding passengers...mus.....*crackle*.....screeeeeeeeeeeeeech."

"Repeat, 486, Repeat" broke in one of the ships.

"Whiskey Echo Sierra Tango." Over.

Cebrian's Location

Postby Federation of Aligned Species » Thu Aug 06, 2015 7:58 pm

Cebrian and his men are met by a sudden movement, dust moves around them. Three orbs, the size of baseballs roll forward and the stop infront of the group. The orbs deploy particle chairs and a particle table. The chairs are able to be sat on. Suddenly the air next to the table flashes as a hexagonal figure un-cloaks. The Tokarii looks at them silently. Eager to do Iros' bidding he places a transponder on the table. Iros and his twelve marine teleport in,"Good work Tokarii."

The Tokarii bows and Iros looks at Cebrian. He makes a hand gesture to offer Cebrian a seat,"Please do not stand. This moment I have waited for all week. Over the past week, the yolkia have held off the 109th marine fleet. One week," he pauses and takes a seat,"No one has done that for ten millennia. Do you have any idea what I would like to do to you right now? To the man that has countered the Federation? To the man that killed Farsight? I assume that this man was you of course."

Cebrian's location (Tigrillo)

Postby Yolkia » Fri Aug 07, 2015 1:00 am

"Why, you're making me blush, exempt you're wrong, I didn't kill Farsight, that was someone else, a random soldier killed him. I am goma say, this technology is peaty cool and all, but why chains?" Cebrian's expresión switched "I mean, you can do anything and you use chains... nevermind. I do hope you know that the errand boy I'd about to come here... you do know you've teleported to the heart of Tigrillo, just look out the windows and you'll see a mass of our men... that's not very smart. Further more, your landing ground isn't secure per say. Now I want you to answer me a small question. What stops my men from launching 1000 shells on this position?" Outside the windows of the generals room no one can see thru, they are tainted black to avoid sniper fire, yet the door is never locked and every one new that, soon steps echo from the hallway. "I've got mail" beaides Cebrian inside that room is also his wife and the age old hidden rifle under the rug. "Why did you come here anyway? I was going to go our and meet you in the fealds." Cebrian breathed in, "you could kill me, that would only bring me closer to the eternal battle, my men would have the deep feeling that you aren't an honorable man, you better hope they don't catch you then." The footsteps are getting closer to the door...

Preparing around the city the defenders are completely scattered, ones in one house and the nearest ally could be some kilometers apart. Nonetheless the Federation won't surrender. "Sir, scouts report several ships inside the village, maybe even tech that we could use." Montero reconsidere his position, either we keep pushing the defenders and make out with all the loot, or we can help our friends da in the trenches. He podido des to himself. Looking down the broken city and the clearly surprised marines he decides to apply pressure to the wound. He settles down the heavy artillery and mobilises the sniper units to the hills to get the defenders. He expects the city to fall down without a fight in some time. He hasn't fully engaged as his infantrymen stans without doing much. The eventual collapse of defenders will be a loss by attrition. He has a steady supply line from the coast as smuglers run around with speeder boats to prevent capture. This lines could supply his armies for at least one more month. He starts making trenches I'm his hill position. Ready for an assault from both sides he looks down from the hills, from one side a shallow jungle and in the other a burning city.
A soldier comes inside "sir, the trenches are ready, do we settle fully?"
"No" a cold reply. "I want to be able to hold small enemy asults in the hill whilst avoiding their bigger force. I also wanted you to remain occupied."
"Then should we charge their position?"
"No, I want to win without fighting, should they push our position were ready, should they stay there they will die-
"And if reinforcements come?"
"Have you heard the band, 'a flock of Pigeons'?"
"We will run, run so far away?" Montero nods as he turns around. "Have the men build rampart defences behind the trench line" the soldier bursts out.

Camp Creedo

Postby Yolkia » Fri Aug 07, 2015 11:05 am

Several convoys being jumping through the southern dunas with the objective clear, set up down there the Yolkian presence in hopes to further secure said territories, they had messed the Oceani defenders as they roll up the gates, tanques full of fuel for the jets and other aircrafts. They begin setting up the sentries as from the final military bugee comes down Eduardo Salado, he instructs his men to begin digging wells and build themselves houses. Along the shafts that held the Oceani flag they fly the Yolkian. The camp's general comes from his tent and Salado greets,"Welcome friend, to the Yolki territory of Dunned Creedo. Please, don't worry, we're here to help you, we have incorporated this lands to be able to act upon it with more power. Roads have been started and watch towers have been set up, anti air guns have also been incorporated." Salado's face of happiness is also carried by their men. Not only have they always seen the Creedan as nice neighbours but they have the belief that these lands belong to Yolkia. They keep moving things around whilst the camp leader reads the parliament's note.
the territories sorrounding camp Creedo have been claimed by the Republic of Yolkia, as long as the camp is useful it will be used by both forces freely, both nations will have to agree when to trash said camp. The territories around have been taken to assure the protection of person and equipment as well as improving the comodity of the aformentioned.
As such, these claims will only take efect once this war has concluded and said actions will only take effect on the acceptance of both parties.

Third battle group
In Route to Yolkia
Flagship CSS Devestator Scimitar class warbird

The Third Battle Group had been ordered to deploy to Yolkia after information was received of the FAS invading the planet. With the Confederation of Allied Planets policy of protecting non FTL worlds from interstellar civilizations, this had caused an immediate reaction.

In order to make a point that this action would not be tolerated, 45 confederation ships had been ordered to scare off the FAS fleet and if need be destroy it. At the same time, the CAP had issued a formal warning against the FAS, if it did not pull its forces from Yolkia immediately, harsh actions would be taken a against FAS planets. Including but not limited to the use of antimatter and negative energy weapons.

In less than 24 hours, the 23 Corsairs had managed to evacuate over 5,700 refugees from Mercôté. Using a well-timed window while the Federation was held at bay, the near miraculous had been pulled off without any major complications. Captain Rousseau radioed Commandant André-Deion with news of the progress, who in turn informed the Queen. From there, the news reached Isabelle d'Orléans, who sat down in her estate in Labourde with a glass of cognac in thankfulness. "This is good for Nouvel Acadie, " she said to Didier, her chief of staff, "and it's good for us in Orléans. I'm the newest member of the Royal Council, and this was a dangerous gamble. It worked. Make sure that you work through Mayor Lax Ibarra to ensure that the refugees are welcomed warmly on the docks. I want flowers, food, music - make it a celebration worthy of the Kingdom, Didier."

"Yes, My Lady...those arrangements are all well under way, but I will doublecheck all of the arrangements with the Mayor immediately."

"Thank you. You may go," Isabelle added.

After he left, she thought about the operation, and how it was also good for someone she chose not to mention to her staff: hopefully, it would be good for Harris Vmon. If he could receive credit and applause for the idea, it could only help his stature in Oceanion. That thought brought a recognizable smile to her face.

------------------------------

Captain Rousseau led half of the fleet north, rounding the northern horn of the continent, only to be struck by something very, very odd: The entire nation of Yauguru was dark. VERY dark. Suspiciously dark. Not a single light could be seen anywhere in the nation; not even the lighthouse was lit. As a life-long seafarer, Rousseau knew that no matter what was assailing a nation, its lighthouses were faithfully operated by resident lighthouse keepers. But here, he had to rely on his instruments as the sun set and darkness began to erase the distinction between land and sea on the horizon.

"Very strange...." he muttered out loud.

----------------------------

The remainder of the fleet of Corsairs was heading west, taking what all the Captains knew would be a much longer journey before the mission was over. This half of the fleet raced across the sea at full open throttle, heading north of Kalbana, and recognizing that the entire fleet would need to stop for fuel - somewhere - before they ever got back home again. Captain Charest of Le Vend du Sud, one of the oldest salts of the Corsairs, led this force, expecting that they could all make it to Yoshi Islaund or an outpost of Western Phonecia before they would need to stop.
