Roma, Italian Empire

It is another clear day in Roma. The city was crowded with many people. Everything just seems fine. But everyone's attention were drawn by one thing, the Italian dictator, Mussolini's speech. Mussolini stood on the temporary platform that was set up quickly and looked at all the people of Roma gathered. Mussolini began his speech:

"My fellow comrades and friends. It is another nice weathered day in Roma. We, Italians, have stood on this ground for over 2000 years! Since the ancient Roman Empire, we have fallen way behind! We won wars and battles. Men died on the field covered in red blood. What did we get? Victory and what? Nothing! Absolute nothing! Look at how hard we have tried! When Italy is at war, men and women both have to work daily to protect our home country. People worked so hard they forgot to eat food and sleep. We should have gotten at least something not just for the people! It is for the whole country. When we Italian fought in World War I against the Austrians. We fought them off multiple times. Several times they broke through our defense line, but our brave young soldiers who loved their country fought them off! We won the war. We only got a small piece of land? After all the sacrifices, is it worth it?

Italy should rise up again! No matter from dust or sand. We shall rule like a iron fist! Indestructible! This is for the glory of Italy. For all the people and our home land! Hail Italy!"

The speech had made almost all the people cry in tears. Some people became angry and yelled out loud cursing the other countries. Some people stood there shocked. The people of Roma were touched by Mussolini's short speech. For now, Mussolini looked at the crowd and smiled. He knows that Roman Empire will rise again....from dust!

While Mussolini made a speech in Roma, down south in Taranto, new warships were being assembled and built in the large shipyard. The harbor already have a few huge ships the anchored inside. This includes the two huge Conti de Cavour-class battleships and a Andia Doria-class battleship. A few other Italian cruisers laid in the harbor as well. Meanwhile in the shipyard, a Littorio-class battlship Littorio is beening built. The huge hull of the ship almost occupied the whole shipyard. New plans of making aircraft carrier were also carried out.

In airbases around Italy, planes where landing in their new home airport one by one. The manufacture line started massing fighters and bombers. By the end of the year, around 700 Macchi C.200 were produced. Bombers like SM-81 were also produced in great scales. Around 300 SM-81 were made by the end of the year. The new Macchi C.202 were being tested in some airfields.

In some fortresses, tanks are being rolled out of the hangers onto the assemble field. Factories had been making a lot of tanks. Especially the new L6/40 Light Tank. Prototypes of M15/42 were being tested and upgraded. Italian Military Department is also recruiting more men into the army. Around 15,000 men are recruited in 1939. The whole Italy seems to be going at war....

Moscow, Soviet Union

It was a beautiful day in the City of Moscow, the glorious capital of the Soviet Union. The city boasted great cultural importance to the Russian people, as not only was it the capital city, but more of a cultural capital. Its a Sunday, so everyone should be going about their usual duties once they come back from church, but today was a special day. Joseph Stalin, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and essentially Head of State of the Soviet Union stood on a make-shift temporary balcony, and so he began to address the people of Moscow:

"Men, women, children... and sheep, our flag means nothing unless held aloft in the hands of the mighty, and seeing you stand here before me today is a personal honour. We Russians are a proud people. Since the dawn of our ancestors we have protected this land, our motherland, from the grasps of foreign invaders and aggressors, this very city has become the home of the Russian people, it is our beacon of hope a world filled with such evil, darkness and hatred. We've won countless battles and wars from the dayes of the Holy Russian Empire, our brothers and sons have spilled their own blood... sacrificed themselves in the name of the motherland. You think you know the meaning of sacrifice? THEY knew the TRUE meaning of sacrifice, and without their true sacrifice we as Russian people would not be standing here as a proud and strong nation today. Change is inevitable, and no one understands this better than the Russian people. Not only have we embraced change, we mastered it, bent it to our own will! And now we must be ready to do it again. Brothers and sisters, look to the stars and what awaits us. It is time for us to claim our rightful birthright on this planet! Our red banner will span across every continent, our war cry will bring strong men to their knee's, it is time for Russia to rise once more! Men, enlist in the military, Women, raise our factories and cater for our youth! Russia will be the world police... AND NOTHING WILL STOP US!"

A huge surge of national identity hit the crowd, flags were waved around and the cheers of "LONG LIVE THE MOTHERLAND!" could be heard. Other people began to curse other nations, speaking about how inferior they are compared to Russia, and some simply stood there and looked at Joseph Stalin. Men began to scramble to their nearest military conscription office, as the Soviet war machine prepares to turn once more.

Meanwhile, Joseph Stalin has ordered for the production of a new navy to keep the Soviet defense standards high. 6 new battleships were ordered and are being produced, as well as 1 aircraft carrier, the Soviet Navy is under-going modernization to keep up with the current world powers. Newer, more up-to-date infantry weapons and vehicles are being given to the Soviet Army and the lesser, aging weapons and vehicles are being removed. Vast enhancement projects are underway in the Soviet Air Force to establish a legitimate operational air power for the Soviet Union.

It was a beautiful day in Berlin, the capital of Germany. The sun was shining, and the birds were chirping as President Paul von Hindenburg stood up beside his trusted Chancellor Adolf Hitler to give his famous, and last speech.
"People of Germany, since the beginning of the Modern Era, Germany has been a major power. Due to a treaty that has changed. The treaty of Versailles is a demeaning treaty dedicated to revenge on the German people. This apparent "German Agression' that the other nations speak of is no different than that of other nations. I tell you today that despite the Treaty, we will rise up as one peop-"
As soon as he was cut off, Hitler immediately held a gun to Hindenburg's head, proclaiming the 3rd Reich. As he was about to pull the trigger, he fell dead alongside Hindenburg. Wilhelm III, much smarter than his father, proclaimed a new German Empire, saying this,
"The Fourth Reich under my rule will become powerful. Along with our new ally, Great Britain, we will begin to break the boundaries of the treaty! Gott mit uns!"

It was a beautiful day in Parliament, the congressman were yelling at each other as usual, but something else was strange, the Prime Minister Winston Churchill suddenly started a speech,
"On this day, I hereby declare in public our alliance with the Germans, after their leader was threatened, I am personally making sure that our friendship will be eternal. No one can stop this new era, this new age, for the British Empire, we will make sure all wil tremble before us and the German Empire. And I am also declaring that our alliance with France is hereby unvalid. I am breaking our alliance with France. May the British Empire prevail in these following days. I promise to my people, a Glory Age. All heil Germany, and her ally, Britain."
The people were shocked, and the military was put into full gears. What is next, only the Germans and British can decide.

President Władysław Raczkiewicz and some other Polish Government officials had been studying the Geopolitical situation that had been sweeping across Europe. In a totally suprising act, the United Kingdom and its empire ditched the powerful French Empire in favour for the rising German Empire, and President Władysław Raczkiewicz did not like this as it could be a threat to the territorial sovereignty and independence of the Second Polish Republic. On the other hand, the Soviet Union had been getting increasingly militaristic but was showing interests in Asia, which means the Soviet Union could be a good ally to have. France was isolated due to it being bored by the UK and German Empire, whom were both allies. The United States of America was getting more involved in international affairs, and this gave President Władysław Raczkiewicz a very briliant idea:

He sent letters to the leaders of the USSR, America, France and Turkey to form the 'Coalition of Allies' or CoA for short, a global alliance for the greater good!

Christian X rides up to the podium, "Friends, you have already noticed the military buildup that this nation has endured, we now have 2 fully equipped corps with 3 armoured divisions, mose are Danish, but we have one Faroese, and 3 Icelandic. Our navy is also expanding, with new ships launched so quickly our ports have trouble keeping up. You may be questioning why, rightfully so, but Germany to the south, Britain to the West, and the soviets to the East all pose very real threats, and while our army isn't much, combine it with our native landscape, and you have an invader's hell. I am not at liberty to speak about our air force, but rest assured it is capable. We have signed a mutual defense pace with Oslo (Norway), and there is hope that together we are indomitable, together, we are strong.

After hearing the extremity building up in Europe, Prime Minister Churchill responds in a flash.
"After hearing the extremity of Polish and American being involved, I have a message. Do not think your your Coialation of Allies will be successful. We have eyes and ears everywhere. We are doing our best to prevent war, but you just seem to be wanting their to be war. The Treaty of Versailles was unfair, specifically to the German Empire. The Polish President Władysłay Raczkiewicz thinks he can go untouched by European Powers. His country thinks that they rule Europe. But no. They are only in the shadow of Europe. To Poland, stay out of our way. You don't have control over us. Your country is weak. Only the strong will survive. You're CofA WILL FAIL. Your allies WILL betray you. You have no power here. Step back and let the REAL powers come in. The European Control Alliance will take it from here. I admire your honor, and courage. But, leave your hopes behind, they are useless. If it is war, it ends before it even starts. Don't be a fool and start another World War. Back down, and give back those territories. None of us want war, but we will have no choice if you don't comply.

Moscow, Soviet Union

Citizens of the Soviet Union quickly learned about the statement that was given by Prime Minister Churchill of the United Kingdom. The statement sparked outrage within Russian citizens of Polish origins. The outrage soon turned to protests, as citizens took to the streets of Moscow demand that the Soviet Union ends all relations with the United Kingdom and the German Empire. The protests soon turned to bloody violence and anarchy as shops were looted and homes burnt down, the Kremlin was placed on lock down and Soviet Guard were deployed to quell the violence. Non-polish Russian citizens began to join in on the chaos, and soon the entire nation was in up roar over the situation at hand, Joseph Stalin gave a speech on the matter.

"People of the Soviet Union, I call for order! Myself and the government are investigating the matter, your anarchy will be met with force."

Shortly after the speech, the riots quelled down and the anarchy and violence grinded to a halt. Homes were under re-construction with the help of the Soviet Army and the Soviet Police were helping return shops to their normal status. Meanwhile, Joseph Stalin called an emergency meeting with the very brightest and top military advisors from all around the Soviet Union. The situation inside the Kremlin was intense, so much so that the top military advisors did not even have the time to salute the General Secretary of the Central Communist Party of the Soviet Union, which happened to be Joseph Stalin. Once Joseph Stalin and the top military advisors reached the heavily guarded top secret meeting room within the Kremlin, the top military advisors sat down but Joseph Stalin stayed standing. Without wasting any time, Joseph Stalin immediately briefed the advisors on the situation, he believed that the United Kingdom and the German Empire were a legitimate threat to Eastern Europe. After a heated discussion, everyone came to a conclusion.

The Soviet Union would mobilize on its Western borders.

Meanwhile, Joseph Stalin has accepted the invitiation to the Coalition of Allies, and hopes that the USA will also join the CoA.

After hearing what happened in Russia, Prime Minister Winston Churchill made a decision.
"I am publicly announcing that I will be sending aid to the USSR, the comotion was my fault. I had hope that the USSR had not joined the CofA, he deserves a better chance, a better hope for ths world. The Polish butted into the matter, the deserved it. But poor Russia didn't. But, if you join the CofA, we are not aggressive, we are the ECA, European Control Alliance, an alliance whose dedication is to protect Europe from wrong, and corrupt countries. "
Afterwards, Churhcill mobilized his forces just in case the Russians didn't head his warning. Just in case a World War starts. He also saw the fact that it was a surrounding situation. He knew he couldn't handle it if the world declares war on them. He gathered his army commanders at set the situation at DEFCON 1, just to be safe. He also gathers his advisors, amd says, "Its time, start Operation Out of Time"
He isn't starting war, but preparing. His next move is wait. It there is war, there is war, and he would join, but if not, then the world would realize too late what is truly goin on, what is truly happening behind Germany, and behind Britain. It would be best if the world didn't know. The first chess piece has been moved. Who will make the next move?

President İsmet İnönü of the Republic of Turkey is a former soldiers of the Ottoman Empire, serving from 1903 to 1920, he fought during the entirity of World War 1 and the Turkish War of Independence from 1919 to 1923. With 20 years of military service, this made President İsmet İnönü an experienced military commander, and the citizens of the Republic of Turkey looked up onto him to take Turkey back to the glory days of the Ottoman Empire, whilst trying to remain in good relations with the USSR. President İsmet İnönü and his government had been montering the situation in Europe for quite a white now, and were beginning to side with the Coalition of Allies. The reason behind this was not only because President İsmet İnönü wanted to maintain good relations with the ever-growing USSR, but it is because the United Kingdom was a member of the European Control Alliance. The German Empire was also in the ECA but this did not change İsmet İnönü's decision.

Turkey would join the Coaltion of Allies but try to maintain a neutral status and good relations with the ECA.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Miltiary was undergoing heavy modernization, with new rifles and light vehicles being built and World War 1 equipment being scrapped. The Turkish Navy was being re-build as Cruisers entered production and the Turkish Air Force was being re-established from scratch. British and French presense in the Middle East and North Africa drove President İsmet İnönü insane, these once former Ottoman territories that stood tall, are now under the gritty reign of the British and French Empire, with even the Italian Empire chipping in. President İsmet İnönü hoped that with the more militaristic Republic of Turkey, the British, French and Italian Empires would vacate former Ottoman territories and the empire would be born again.

After hearing Germany and United Kingdom's alliance and the forming of CoA, Mussolini decided not to take any major actions. He knows that this can lead to a world war. Italy's military power is not great enough to fight war in that scale. Mussolini ordered his army to produce more weapons.

In the naval shipyard around Italy, works are being carried out on the 3 other Littorio-class battleships. The newly designed aircraft carrier Aquila had been carried out. Secret researches were also carried out in some secret underground bases. Rumors said that there are ships that are around 200 meters long ships laid in some abandoned ports.

The air force of Italy decided to mass produce Macchi C.200 and Macchi C.202. These fighters have great maneuverability and are capable of bringing down enemy fighters quickly. Fighters can be sighted inside major cities patrolling everyday.

The army of Italy also is making more tanks and artillery. M15/42 medium tanks had just entered the production lines. These tanks are swift and well armored. The tanks had camouflage to make them harder to be spotted. The elevated gun platform means that the tank can shoot quite far.

After hearing all that was happening across Europe, Prime Minister Chruchill called his commanders in and said,
"This is not good. This is starting to turn into a war. We need more time to prepare. Make sure our territories in the south are secure. Contact Japan, we need more time, and allies. Leave us in DEFCON 1. I need spies, amd agents, lost of 'em. Maybe this will pass by, amd there will be no war. Maybe. Mobilize our forces. Now! All we need, is more time, if we had any."
The army had their orders, so did the Royal Air Force, and Navy. But one thing was left open. General Edward called his own meeting. He said to the other commanders, "Churhill says we need more time, and more time he will get. He doesn't know about any of this. And he doesn't need to. Send the agents to the USSR." But fellow officer John said, "If Churchill finds out, he'll have us hung."
"It doesn't matter! Do it!" Yelled Edward back.
So, conspiracy, and Operation Out of Time continues forward. What happens next is fate. The chess game has REALLY begun now.

After times to considerate, Mussolini decided to be sided with the British-Germany alliance. Italy is a important territory in the Mediterranean. We can help you win wars, but I debt that you will need any major helps. Heil Deutschland!

Mussolini ordered his army to move north to secure the northern border with France. The border was heavily fortified and artillery platforms were set up. Nearby, airfields were being constructed. Planes flew to these new airfields await for their next order. In the south. 1st Italian Battle Fleet were also sent north to defend the naval border. The fleet is composed of two battleships, 4 cruisers and 4 destroyers. Another fleet, 2nd Italian Battle Fleet were also sent. The fleet sailed toward Gibraltar to help the British secure the Mediterranean.

Mussolini also ordered out his military scientists to carry out top secret projects. The projects are so secured that only the generals know about this. The researches were carried out underground away from anything. These projects.....can turn the tide of war.

Repeatedly, spies from Britian, Germany, Poland, and the Soviets have violated our national security, and this has prompted us to form the Nordic Defense Committee, NDC, including Denmark, and it's colonies, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. An attack on one is an attack on us all. all together, we have enough soldiers to equal the Soviet peacetime army, or the German Wehrmacht. our navy equals the german Navy, and threatens the superiority of the British Royal Navy. Hopefully this alliance will dissuade any attacks on our nations or our national sovereignty.

OOC: If you combine all the navy of the Scandinavia, sure it is equivalent to Kriegsmarine, but Kriegsmarine only had like 4 battleships, a few cruisers and a few destroyers. I honestly don't think that your navy have that much submarines....you cannot make that much submarine that fast. With Germany's quick production rate, they can only make around 50 U-boats in a month....

German Wehrmacht had millions of troops...the number same what close to 18 million. No way you can get that much troops in such a short amount of time. The Scandinavia is not great military power....

After learning of the creation of the Nordic Alliance, Prime Minister Churhill called an executive board meeting with his advisors. He told them,
"My friends, it looks like we're spiraling down a path to war. And it looks like nothing is going to stop it. I wish to...to...to keep us at DEFCON 1. Full speed forward with Operation Out of Time, and full speed forward with Codename Excalibur. We need to secure the threats. That is all."
But the commanders, continue to spy on targets without the Prime Minister's knowing, they, are pushing the countries closer to World War.
Although, many more secrets are hidden in the government, and the military begins a new plan, a plan to take the head off the snake, too end the war, before it ever begins.
What happens next, only time will tell.

Following the troops mobilizing, Mussolini ordered his top spies to go to USSR to spy out their situation. The spies were trained for years. They had succeeded many missions. These spies are professional spies. They can disguise as people really well, and assassinate their target as well.

Dawn, the fog covered the sky. The transport plane have already rolled out to the airfield waiting for its passengers. Around a few minutes later, all of the passengers got on the plane safely and the plane began to taxi toward the runway. The plane took off. It flied slowly in the sky, powered by its two engines on the wings. The plane flew steadily for a few hours, when suddenly, one of the plane's engine was blown off. This surprised the pilot and he immediately tried to maneuver the plane to safety. It was too late, the plane is already dropping quickly. The pilot did what he can at the last moment, avoid any buildings.

The passengers were shocked. They ran to the back off the plane and opened the door and jumped. One by one, the passengers jumped out of the plane, but a few was not lucky, they crashed on the ground along with the plane and was burned to ashes. The other survivors, the ones who jumped, had parachute ready and descended slowly. When they land on the ground, they knew where they are.....Ukraine, USSR.

(To make things a bit more interesting I changed a bit of the past of the country in a world where the Civil War didn't happen yet)

After avoiding falling into a state of Civil War a few years before it looked like the situation in Republic of Spain was stable, but truth couldn't be more far from the truth and that day would prove it.
In the last few years Franco had gotten deeper into ultra-nationalism and fascism, the socialists, who before were supporters of the republic, were becoming more and more vocal for a more USSR-like government, the monarchy was slowly making a come back with Juan III gaining popularity among the masses and to finish the mess, the Basque, Catalan, Galician and Andalusian nationalism was on the rise.

It all blew up in a single day, in the meeting in Madrid the president was ready to coup the nation under a military control to avoid more tensions, in the same day a facist group was planning an attack in the meeting and a communist group funded by the USSR had exactly the same plan. It all was executed on the same time and a three way fire started to take place on the political center of Madrid. Soon chaos overtook the city, factions became loose and fights were happening almost everywhere around the town.

With the central government down and most of its members dead chaos overtook the country which at the moment simply didn't have a defined leader of state. Many groups claimed to be the new rulers of Spain and soon enough the Civil War was set to happen.

The Spanish Civil War

Juan III managed to get quite a footing on Northwest Spain, to fully consolidate his rule he made a proposal to the Galician that their province would become more independent under what he called "The United Kingdoms of Iberia"

Alignment: Varied, mostly set on independence.
Capital: Barcelona
A mess of a state on Northeast Spain. Socialist, Catholics and many other conflicting ideologies united in a makeshift republic whose objectives are unclear. Currently in hostility with Franco

Socialist Republic of Spain
Head of government: Dolores Ibárruri
Alignment: Communist
Capital: Valencia
A Center-East area organized by the Spanish Communist Party, has good relations with the Basque-Catalan coalition (The current leader even being of basque origin) but disagrees on many points of their rule. One of the most organized revolutionary groups of this war. In war against Franco

Nationalist Spain
Head of government: Francisco Franco
Alignment: National Socialist - Falagist
Capital: Madrid
The central rule who took most of Castila. In the few years after the Civil War almost broke out Franco got closer to the Falange movement, ultimately aligning himself to National Socialism. As soon as they took power they already moved to attack its neighboring groups, with the exception of Leon-Galicia. Extremely centralized and focused on the destruction of the "differents" in spain

Andalusian Republic
Head of government: Juan Negrín López
Alignment: Democratic Capitalism
Capital: Sevilla
Just like Leon-Galicia this group got its power from aligning with a separatist movement. Formed by the old republic Andalusia is a southern republic who ended up becoming highly aligned towards a liberal policy. Currently in war against Franco

President Franklin D. Roosevelt of the United States of America sat in the oval office with his top advisors from the United States Department of War, including the Secretary of War, Harry Hines Woodring. British aggression was growing out of hand as Prime Minister Churchil continues to believe that Britain is superior, but this would all change too soon. American-German relations had been fragile since the end of World War One, and Britains relationship with the German Empire was giving the German Empire an extremely negative reputation. President Franklin D. Roosevelt did not really see the German Empire as an enemy, but an ally of an enemy is an enemy of the state... or at-least the United States of America had no enemies yet. An another note, President Franklin D. Roosevelt noted that the rising power of the Soviet Union would be extremely good to have on its side. President Franklin D. Roosevelt did not really agree with Socialism and Joseph Stalins ideologies, but he knew that war with the Soviet Union would be a disaster and was willing to overlook the differences of Socialism and Capitalism to better relations between the Soviet Union and the United States of America. The Republic of Turkey was striving for the return of the Ottoman Empire and the Second Republic of Poland was at the forefront of the proaganda war against Britain and Germany.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt decided to join the Coalition of Allies.

Henceforth, President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared full military mobilization and mandatory conscription of all men aged 18 until the age of 34, and mandatory military training from the age of 14 to 18. President Franklin D. Roosevelt also declared that all women aged 18 to the age of 36 must become workers at factories to produce the items needed for the United States Military to enter into any war, and also women aged 36+ must help out by taking care of the youth, working on farms, becoming night wardens and such. The United States Navy began heavily modernizing, using its entire powerful economy, 18 Battleships, 11 Destroyers, 8 Cruisers and 3 Aircraft Carriers were being build on the Eastern Coast, meanwhile on the Western Coast, 13 Battleships, 9 Destroyers and 5 Cruiser swere being built. In Hawaii, 7 Battleships, 4 Destroyers and 2 Cruisers were being built, as well as 1 Aircraft Carrier already being stationed there and 2 more being built. These were only confirmed numbers, but the Department of War knew that more ships had been ordered and were already under construction. For the United States Air Force, new planes such as the P-39 and P-40 were replacing the older fighters, as well as new dive bombers and long range bombers such as the B-17. The United States Army (and MC) are receiving new infantry weapons and vehicles and the United States Marine Corps are being trained on amphibious assault.

The USA was ready for war.

Hearing of the USA joining the CofA, Prime Minister Churchill makes a crucial decision.
"Begin stage one of Operation Out of Time."
But one of his advisor, Gregory warned him, "Sir, with all due respect, it's not ready, our scientists and engineers are still working on stage one, it would be-"
"It must be ready NOW!" Yelled Churchill, "Each day, more and more countries keep joining the CofA. We need to complete this now, if we'll ever have a chance to defend ourselves if we ever went to war. War is on the horizon. And now is not the time to be laying back, just waIting for it to build itself! Get to work! We need stage one done, SOON!"
And with that,they dispersed. But, his foreign advisor, Jackson, went to the rouge commanders about this. The commanders made a decision. "We launch Operation Spiral Arm, tonight."
And with that, the British economy flourished, but the rest of Europe's economy, began to fall. The commanders made a decision, if Chruchill ever found out, they would be executed, but, so far, there notorious acts remain hidden. The fate of Europe lingers in balance.

With the recent alliance of both Great Britain and German Empire, the world's other superpowers(United States of America and United Soviet Socialist Republics) have gotten increasingly more involved each passing day. Their enormous military mobilization has given us a golden opportunity to push Venezuela further in to the Modern Times. As the world's largest oil reserve, Venezuela can ultimately change the tide of global unstability. By changing our oil price per gallon, we rake in all the Fuerte. The more Fuerte we bring into the country, more funding that will go toward the Socialist Governmental Programs. But, in order for this to happen we go under PROJECT: COMMUNISM. The new Socialist Government will nationalize all Industrial, Commercial, and Residential businesses to help the Working-Class bring the Venezuelan in to order, exile the Venezuelan oil tycoon, and push towards an unified Venezuela and South America. We should not have any problems with the European regimes, but their South American allies, we will. They can not stop us, if they want to continue their military mobilizations with quality refined petroleum."
