After years of preparation(I prepared throughout WW2) the massive Portuguese expedition of one hundred thousand men launched a surprise attack on the largest city of Brazil. The men are mostly made up of eager volunteers from all parts of the empire titled the new conquistadors. The force is of mixed nationality since Portugal promised any men who participates in the expedition gets free land in Brazil. Young men from all over the colony answered the call, from poor men seeing the expedition as their best chance for gold in the Far East, to the Africans hoping for a better life for their families in the New World, to merely ambitious young men in Portugal. The expedition comes from all walks of life, but they are united in 1 purpose, the promise of land. The government of Portugal has deemed that the most prestigious volunteers will be granted more than their other counterparts. Due to the sheer size of Brazil each man is expected to get almost 80 km2 on average, of course soldiers will receive less land in cities, and more lands in jungles.
The first battle of the war started when the newest Estado Novo battleship laid down in Lisbon opened fire on Rio De Janeiro. The initial bombardment was able to shatter the city, and caught the defense force off guard. The marines using Portuguese designed landing ships landed in the undefended beaches. The result quickly turned bloody for the Brazilians, he marine expedition quickly encircled, and captured the unprepared self defense force, and after two days of hand to hand combat the city fell to the Expedition.The self defense force numbering 10,000, of which 5000 poor men decided to join the expedition in return for a more power once they are done their term of service. The Expedition swept south leaving a 10,000 strong garrison to defend the city.

Salvador Allende arrives back in Chilé and immediately calls for a press conference. "My fellow citizens of Chilé I have news to tell you all. As you may know I have been in Moscow for the past couple of days to negotiate our membership in the COMECON. After talks with Joseph Stalin we have been accepted. Now you may live with pride that we are part of one of the greatest organizations in the world. With this development now we will rise to glory and unify South America under one banner," announces the president. The crowd stands there quiet even the press as they look up at the president. They are all overwhelmed by the news.

The following day the news is all over the country about Chilé joining COMECON and the president's plan to unite all of South America. A group bands together called Partido de la Independencia Chilé (Chilean Independence Party) was formed in response to this and within hours, hundreds of members have signed up. Party members started protests all around the country in response. The president warns the Partido de la Independencia Chilé to stand down or riot police will be dispatched.

The Expedition continued largely unopposed by the Brazallians. In fact most seeing the desperate poverty that their nation is experiencing have laid down arms to join The Expedition. With the new recuirts after the presumed victory at Sao Paolo, the new goal will be to detach 10,000 men make them link up with the garrison at Rio, and have them march north, and start a trail of conquest there. The battle of Sao Paolo was very brief with captured American made former Brazilian artillery fired upon the city. The garrison out of fear of The Expedition laid down their arms, and the Portugeuse have got a large foothold in Brazil, however after the massive blitzkrieg movements the men are exhausted, apart from the 20,000 strong northern force. Which has plans to sweep north to Belo Horizonte.

As The Expedition grew larger in size, 120,000 men it got split into 2 parts. The larger part the sul Expedition, and the smaller expedição norte. The norte has marched very quickly by ditching all heavy equipment, and travelling on whatever. So the vanguard of the Norte went by horseback. The mobile cavalry unit did very well against the Brazilian defenses, charging large gun emplacements with extreme ease. They are able to go to the Brazilian rear, while the infantry fought the confused front line. The end result was the retreat of the Brazilian forces to the city of Belo Horizonte, after taking massive losses, due to Portuguese cavalry, and defections to Portugal after hearing of the vastly better conditions. The new recruits were set to work on logistics, with the Portuguese government giving them a small plot of land that they may keep, however for the duration of hostilities they have to provide food for Norte.
The battle in Belo Horizonte was over the second it began. The Portuguese used their cavalry very effectively, and was able to completely cut off the city from supplies. Due to the poor condition of Brazil's roads almost no supplies went in. The garrison soon mutinied, and placed the pro Portugeuse Pablo Du Paco in charge. The new commander surrendered the force of 7000 men to the Portuguese expedition Norte.

Troops of the Zairean National Army and mercenaries of the United Army of Zaire have marched into the Angolan province of Cabinda in order to hunt down soldiers of the Bakongo Patriotic Union who have gone into hiding within the province. The USSR has declared it will not take a part in the Zaire conflict. It will however send some more troops to the RSC in order to protect them from any ambitions of expansion.

Protests form Partido de la Independencia Chilé (Chilean Independence Party) have gotten worse two government officials were killed trying to get to work. President Salvador Allende dispatched riot police which arrested 60 protesters, but sadly killing 3 in self defense as they attacked the police. More and more people are joining Partido de la Independencia Chilé as tensions brew. A representative from the USSR has angered people around Chile making more grow in number the protests. Riot police are dispatched all around the country taking care of protests. Many causalities are being taken on both sides as protesters and police die. Swedish Greater Coat of Arms

The Kingdom of Sweden remained neutral during WW2, supplying the Axis and Allies with weapons and armor, except for the Soviet invasion of Finland, dubbed "The Winter War". From the 30th November, 1939 to the 13th March, 1940, Soviet forces invaded Finland. Sweden quickly jumped to Finlands aid and a grueling 3 months, 1 week and 5 days of brutal winter fighting which resulted in the Treaty of Moscow, which resulted in the removal of Soviet forces from Finland and a truce. Finland kept all land and was indebted to Sweden. In 1946, Finland was officially reincorperated into the Kingdom of Sweden, in order to stop Soviet aggresiveness. A build up of Swedish forces from 1940 onwards helped keep Swedish neutrality protected and to curb another Soviet expansion into Finland in the event of another Winter War.

After another border trangression from Norway, the people of Sweden cry for war. The Government was wary at first, but bolstered by the Support of Great Britain, the Kingdom of Sweden declared war. Norway had long been poking Sweden ever since 1905 when Norway became independent. Now is the time for the Swedish-Norwegian Union to become realized again. 18 Divisions along with 3 armored divisions have mobilized against Norway's 15 divisions with 2 armored divisions.
