Description: In an active campaign on behalf of Grand Moff Noventa, Vice Admiral Arian of the Imperial Naval Detached Fleet has successfully captured and destroyed the last remaining pirate strong holds in the Carpentaria and Solidarity Systems. Pirates which had once roamed virtually unchallenged before the advent of Imperial authority had been a considerable threat to local commerce. The local notables of Carpentaria had lived under a cloud of fear and consternation before the Imperial Navy was given orders from Grand Moff Noventa to deal with the situation. Many were surprised by the sudden activity on the part of the Imperial Navy, due to concerns happening back in the home galaxy and the recent death of Regent Ardus Kaine, and the surprise attack upon Bastion by marauding Chaos Space Marines. Grand Moff Noventa is quoted as saying, "Though the Empire may be facing difficulties back on the home front, we here on the frontier remain strong and dedicated to bringing order and justice to the quadrant." Description: The Holy Star Empire since the start of their holy crusade to purge the neighboring Vespae Expanse of aliens and other enemies of Mankind have been mostly successful in their conquests of several systems and have recently reached the fringes of Gamma and are on the verge of entering Delta Quadrant. In it's wake the Holy Star Empire and it's armies have ransacked and annihilated a number of civilizations residing within that region of space and have from growing reports from refugees and media outlets have taken in a large number of slaves as part of their plunders and victories. Reaching the fringes of the quadrant another round of fighting and war have broken out with neighboring star states such as the heterogeneous 'Amestrisa Trade Coalition', the Soleer Federation and the Tu'va Dominion. It seems that the Holy Star Empire has no intentions of stopping their already brutal campaign of xenophobic and religious violence against fellow star states that happen to be in it's way.
Potential Greater Impact(s): The conquest of the Vespae Expanse has already displaced hundreds of thousands to possibly millions of refugees who have recently flooded the border with Delta and the fringes of Gamma looking for refuge and protection from the warmongering Holy Star Empire. If the campaign does not come to an end and the Holy Star Empire continue on their path of religious and xenophobic destruction then their reach may begin to creep into the neighboring Delta Quadrant and possible conflict with more larger established star states and empires may bring Gamma's increasing hostility and depravity into Delta and further destabilize more regions of space.

Taking note of the tide of refugees flooding the area, the Empire has determined to supply a number of these refugees with the equivalent of several Battlefleets worth of their older ships, units, material, and supplies as well as sufficient training to make the best use of this equipment as well. This "loan," as it has been described by officials within the Empire has come with the caveat that it be used specifically in strikes against those who continue to disrupt the region with their violent and aggressive activities...
Potential Greater Impact(s): Due to these actions, hostile nations in the region will find themselves coming up against a renewed, organized, and well trained resistance from those they have continually abused and targeted. Pirates, raiders, and slavers in the region will also find fewer pickings as many of their targets are now more than capable of fending them off and/or destroying them outright.

Description: The Perseid Federation, unsatisfied with the actions that nations have taken to alleviate the refugee crisis associated with the Great Displacement, has organized an international conference in order to get the nations of the galaxy to agree on a course of action. The Omospondia government has lobbied nations currently experiencing the crisis to convene at Icosakhilos Station for that very purpose. Possible topics that may be touched on at this conference may include proposals for refugee quotas, combating piratical activity, establishing colonies for the refugees on suitable worlds, and other things.
Potential Greater Impact(s): Many critics argue that this conference—like so many that were held in years past—would come to naught as always, due to the refusal of interstellar polities to cooperate with one another. Taxiarchai Milonos, Secretary of the Organ of Foreign Affairs, told the press that in spite of this they are "pressing forward with the conference in order to provide not only a solution for the refugee crisis that is near our doorsteps, but also of the piracy that comes with it."

Description: The Holy Star Empire under it's undying loyalty to it's god-like proclaimed Emperor have struck again against another region of space on the fringe of Gamma and Delta quadrants respectively. A trade aligned alliance called the 'Triumvirate' have been attacked by the HSE's military forces continuing the crusade that was previously sparked by the all out onslaught on the 'Vespae Expanse'. The region of space known locally as the 'Triumvirate Space Corridor' is one of many regions of space dedicated to trade and easy travel between quadrants and the recent sight of a now prolonged military conflict between the HSE and the Triumvirate after a Outpost belonging to Triumvirate member state the 'Amestrisan Trade Coalition' was suddenly attacked and destroyed by arriving HSE forces that prologue the eventual climatic arrival of the 7th Varagothic Crusader Armada which now seeks to take the Jericho System by force in order to establish a more broader foothold on Triumvirate territory and allowing grander HSE forces to arrive and continue the campaign through the 'Triumvirate Space Corridor'.
Potential Greater Impact(s): The potential greater impacts of the intensifying conflict is that it will spread and further prove to destabilize and flare already growing tensions between other established and emerging interstellar powers and mixed with the on-going 'Great Displacement' only prove to worsen with due time. Another greater impact could be the sparking of a even larger conflict if the Holy Star Empire does see fit to expand it's influence into the neighboring Delta Quadrant which is already seeing increased tensions due to local established powers acting on recent events in the Galaxy.

In a speech broadcast across the Protectorate's internal HoloNet, Mr. Corleone announced the beginning of a new humanitarian initiative code-named Operation Angelwing. According to the President, the scheme will provide asylum-seekers with homes and food in exchange for their services in terraforming hitherto-uninhabited regions of the Saheris and Jupiter-III Systems. Upon completing a four-year term of service, he elaborated, refugees will be eligible to claim Alexiandran corporate membership. Terraforming efforts will be led by the National Engineering Corporation Ltd., bankrolled by the Interstellar Finances Group and equipped by Perzeus Hardware Inc. These three companies will receive preferential trading tariffs in the new territories.

Description: The conflict over the three invaded systems has been waging for months as Gata'jan forces have been grinding their way through the three homeworlds in gruesome block by block urban warfare, with prisoners taken being handed off to the Vipran Imperium, whom has insisted on aiding for humanitarian reasons. As this conflict has ground on, there has been a shift of tactics by the Ammudzi. In a stunning move, it has sent out a call for mercenary companies and armies, private military groups and other soldiers for hire, offering lucrative contracts, rights to the spoils and even potential land in return for their services in breaking the last of the planets resistance. Already, the galactic communication grid is buzzing with contracts being discussed and details hammered out as the Gata'ja seek to marshal those driven by the lure of coin and credit to their cause.
Potential Greater Impact(s): As the Gata'ja gain more and more mercenaries and PMCs to their cause, more of their military will be freed up for other uses, which has been heavily invested in securing and protecting the three systems as they rebuild and work to finally crush the resistance of the natives. In addition, increased traffic will bring more pirates into the region, and the influx of many less then stellar law abiding bodies and groups can only mean more instability in Gamma as they are unleashed on their targets.

Description:
Following revelations that the Zhangbian People's Republic has been sponsoring state terrorism against allies and vassals of the World School and preying upon merchant traffic in its region of the Huañak Cluster, Irkhaes immediately demanded a cessation of these activities and that the Zhangbian System be opened for an uulchi Resident to begin investigations and oversight of the local government. An Opal List of names whose death or imprisonments were required as also provided, but the ZPR refused to meet these terms and ceased its tribute payments (which mainly consisted of basic goods, particularly antimatter from its well-developed antimatter refineries).
The government on Irkhaes has subsequently enacted the Two Steps Protocol, deploying the newly-formed Zhangbian Pacification Fleet and swiftly crushing native resistance. All persons within two degrees of social separation of those on the Opal List (which has been expanded, in light of the system's defiance) are currently being executed by uulchi troops and their human and robotic auxiliaries, while most of the system's vital infrastructure (for example, its antimatter refineries) are being disassembled to move back to Irkhaes. Debate is currently going on as to whether or not to simply wipe out the system's population entirely.
Potential Greater Impact(s): Adding to the Great Displacement (several hundreds of millions have already fled, at least), as well as provoking conflict in the previously largely-tranquil Huañak Cluster.

Description: An Ashren ‘Vo exploratory group of five vessels entered the Quixie System, a periphery system of the Republic. First contact was attempted by the Ashren ‘Vo, however due to extreme differences in communication, first dialog was never received by Republican Forces. Conflicting reports by Republican officials differ on which force fired the first shot, however many officials under the condition of secrecy report that a Republican Frigate fired the first shot. Yet this is still denied at the highest levels of government. Regardless of who fired the first shot, the results of the conflict are still apparent. The Quixie and Kilmer systems were completely devastated, those that didn’t escape during the initial hours of the invasions of the systems were lost to hostile activities. Both systems with the entirety of their infrastructure and population were lost to the rampaging ‘Vo forces. Nearly half of the Republican population was lost during this conflict, while Republican Forces tried to valiantly defend their territory they had fallen on all fronts. The conflict culminated in the destruction of the planet Kilmer, which due to preparations made by the Republic while the Quixie system fell, was made to look like the Republics Capital planet. Upon destruction of the final remnants of Republican forces in the Kilmer system, the Ashren ‘Vo forces retreated back into the void of space. Currently, the Quixie and Kilmer systems are used as a “buffer” zone between surviving Republican territory and proposed Ashren ‘Vo space.
Potential Greater Impact(s): Small amounts of Refugee’s escaping the Kilmer and Quixie systems are added into the larger influx of the current Refugee Crisis. The Free State Republic internally, takes a more “xenophobic” turn and begins to close itself off to outside influences, to focus on rebuilding and reconstructing. Consequently, both Freeport City and Cirrus Station in the Liu Xiu system become the only “open” territories to the Galaxy at large. The Free State Republic will enter a period of isolation as consolidation of power and resources begins within still held territory. Internal fractures within Republican Society have been reported, with a group accusing the Government of not protecting the Human Race to the full extent. Small talks of succession have been rumored but are unsubstantiated beyond the groups members.

Description: Following the destructive conflict with the Ashren ‘Vo, the Free State Republic retreated from the Galactic Stage. Some refugee’s from the Kilmer and Quixie systems headed “south”, eventually running into territory of the Perseid Federation. Information was exchanged, and contact initiated, which eventually grew into several economic pacts that so far have resulted in an economic windfall to reach the Republic. Perseid wealth is directly responsible for the colonization and settling of several new Republican Colonies. With this new expansionist policies, the Republic finds itself once again opening up to the Galaxy, while xenophobic tendencies and policies exist, the period of isolation at large has ended.
Potential Greater Impact(s): Once again the Free State Republic finds itself expanding into uninhabited systems, furthering its territory. Expanded trade relations with Perseid Federation, and with Liu Xiu territories. The Free State Republic begins to open up to the Galaxy at large, ends its period of isolation. Due to the boom of expansion, the once migrating hordes of human refugees are offered citizenship and land claims in newly claimed systems and planets, which will be asserted at the Conference on the Great Displacement. Greater cooperation between the Free State Republic and Perseid Federation in all aspects is to be expected in the near future.

Description:

The Imperial Armed Forces announced the most significant strategic naval realignment (SNR) since the normalisation of relations with the Imperium of Vernii and the dissolution of the Ortagan Hegemony. Effective immediately, the Kriegsmarine is dissolving the Talbott Cluster Operational Area (TCOA-COM). The imperial military forces in the Cluster will be reorganised into the Talbott Cluster Headquarters (TAL-HQ) with strategic-level assets being reassigned to other commands within six months. The headquarters for Kriegsmarine assets in the Cluster will continue to be located in Terminus Condominium of the Talbott Cluster (Yeltsin’s Star); Reichswehr local command will transition to the Cape Town system in the Mesan Protectorate. Großadmiral Shen Tai (Tenth Star Lord) will assume command of the Inner Marches Operational Area (IMOA-COM).

Großadmiral Sir Geoffrey Tolwyn (Eighth Star Lord and current IMOA-COM CO) is being transferred to lead the organisation of the Extra-Raumreich Operational Area (EXROA-COM). This new strategic command formation will assume unified combat responsibilities for the Lanthe Route, Eucer Corridor, and other dependent operational commitments and deployments. EXROA-COM will absorb the majority of strategic level assets reassigned from TCOA-COM. Großadmiral Tolwyn will formally assume his command in the Conamara system from VIzeadmiral Michael Flynn, current CO-Lanthine Operations. Vizeadmiral Flynn will remain as part of the EXROA-COM organisation structure but will be temporarily reassigned to special detached duty for a Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) mandate. Flynn will command a detached battle squadron (BatRon) of Valinor, Berchester, and Verger warships on an eight-month long special tour of the outer Gamma and Delta quadrants. The BatRon will consist of a division of dreadnoughts (4 ships), a division of battlecruisers (2 Valinor, 2 Berchester), a destroyer squadron (mixed Valinor, Berchester, and Verger composition), an EW/ECM screening unit, and several fleet support ships. In addition to surveying current security concerns across the volume, the BatRon will escort an official embassy to be received by the Huerdaen Star Empire. This will mark the first permanent embassy to the Huerdaen state.

Additionally, the Kriegsmarine announced the promotion of Ekaterina Tereshkova from vizeadmiral to admiral. Admiral Tereshkova will assume command of EXROA-COM’s department responsible for the Eucer Corridor under Großadmiral Tolwyn. Eucer Corridor defences are to be expanded and include additional superdreadnoughts and fleet-level carrier groups. In comparison to the Lanthe, the Eucer Corridor is more integrated into the empire's defence infrastructure and was originally created with the intention of allowing the Imperial Armed Forces (IAF) to sustain broad strategic operations against the Vipran Imperium and other TSAR member states. The Corridor's network of natural wormhole and gates services much of the trans-Carina-Crux spatial volumes (sometimes referred to as the Coreward Beta Quadrant) and ends beyond the remnants of the Iron Wall several light centuries from areas of R.u.K. expansion. In addition to Tereshkova's command, the Corridor is governed as a series of naval districts currently headquartered in the Mensae system near Loseida.

The SNR represents the first permanent deployment of strategic-level assets and superdreadnoughts to commands beyond the Raumreich since the Great March War. Kriegsmarine redeployment will be supplemented with additional forces from the Reichswehr and the formation of several new local unified combatant commands. The redeployment is supported by the Metternicht Government through the Special Select Committee for Imperial Defence. The Congress of Lords approved additional funds for the IAF to expedite the relocation of dependent forces and complete redeployment of former TCOA-COM and other assets within the year. Prime Minister the Archduke Faustus von Metternicht announced that the empire’s permanent ambassador to the League of the Raumreich will seek additional international support for expansion of League Anti-Piracy Efforts (LAPE) along the Lanthe Route. Expanded LAPE support will assist in commerce protection, Route security, and refugee crisis management if approved.

Potential Greater Impact(s): The SNR represents the largest deployment of Valinor naval assets outside the Raumreich Oversector in more than a century. It is a response to the growing instability in the Gamma Quadrant, which threatens the Lanthe Route, the Lanthine Lee, and various Valinor and Raumreich interests throughout the quadrant’s middle and coreward volumes. Prior to the SNR, IAF deployments rarely reached the level of capital formations. Most capital assets to the Lanthe were provided by the Office of Verge Affairs.

The decision to deploy warships to the Delta Quadrant is a direct, if polite, challenge to the Huerdaen Star Empire (noted for its preference to not accept formal embassies). The deployment reinforces the Valinor position of refusing to recognise the ‘indigenous norms' of the quadrants and asserting its right to pan-galactic navigation and involvement. The reinforcement of the Beta Quadrant is an effort to preserve some stability along Valinor-controlled systems and sphere of interest since the general collapse of international order in the quadrant. In keeping with Valinor domestic and Raumreich international law, the expanded fleet presence will focus on the eradication of piracy, the elimination of slavery, and the stabilisation of faltering interstellar states. EXROA-COM possesses a broad mandate but is expected to cooperate and coordinate with MFA, OVA, and other imperial allies and partners.

Description: The largely sovereign Corporations of the SCU have risen up in an attempt to wrest total control of their markets, caught off guard and unprepared the Federal Navy has been largely routed to the frontier worlds with this core planets stuck in a state of vicious stalemate. Neither side is willing to engage in planetary bombardment at a large enough scale to break these sieges, so the war devolved into savage ground combat in the mega-cities of the Core Worlds. The ABC is in a race against time to break the Federalists back before they can regroup and connect with the besieged Capital of Poltaur. The SCU however is in a desperate war of attrition, trying to stall the Corporatist assault long enough for a concentrated counter-attack.

The Zhangbian People's Republic, which had previously defied the World School, had been taken over by the Zhangbian Pacification Fleet on orders from Irkhaes, which began implementing a Two Degree Opal List of names whose deaths were required. Debate raged, meanwhile, back on Irkhaes, about whether or not to make an example of the system, which was the latest and largest in a series of mostly minor disturbances in the Huañak Cluster. Hardline factions in the uulchi government won out, and a policy of total annihilation is being implemented across the Zhangbian System to make an example of systems that go against the authority of the World School.
At present, the forces of the Pacification Fleet are rounding up all natives they can find for transport to newly-erected extermination sites, where they are fed alive, en masse, into huge nuclear-powered plasma crematoria. Many are fleeing the system to escape this systematic genocide, which is expanding in scale as more extermination sites are set up and transportation and security issues are addressed, and are being pursued and whenever possible killed by forces of the Pacification Fleet. Children under the age of eleven who are apprehended alive and intact have been spared by a special decree, supposedly influenced by the Taihani ambassador to Irkhaes, and are being moved to special holding camps (though it is unclear what will happen to them once the genocide ends).

The Zhangbian System is also being systematically stripped of important infrastructure such as its antimatter refinery industries, which are being sent back to Irkhaes for installation there. The Grand Council has announced intentions to resettle the system once "local populations have been dealt with and transfer of key industrial components is complete", possibly jointly with some of the World School's smaller human tributaries.

Potential Greater Impact(s): An estimated two billion have fled the Zhangbian System despite the best efforts of the Pacification Fleet to stop them, with some guerrilla and bandit groups forming in the system's fringes that will likely continue to be problematic for a long period of time. The exodus of people fleeing the genocide will continue to exacerbate the galactic refugee crisis as well.
It remains unclear what the World School plans to do with the countless millions of young children they have incarcerated.
