Pleased there is an OOC thread. I hope that anyone still wanting to join will leave their applications here instead of the IC thread. Tomorrow I shall proceed with my first in-character post for this roleplay.

BY the way I'm not sure if this is crucial information, but I forgot to mention the Harmonist Empire are quite fundamentalist, at least the ponies. From their lack of death penalties for civilians, all the way down to their choice of clothes, or rather lack thereof for almost everypony. I think I'll make up for the lack of some personal armor with magical shields. Don't worry, I'll keep it reasonable. Just keep in mind Squeeheart may also try establishing missionaries with their colonies.

There's also a second continent on the planet that is most artificial by first appearance yet if one was to step inside the artificial continent they would find not only life but also organic matter in there as well along with somehow pure data manifesting into reality.

At first religious leaders supported the actions of these terrorists but as their actions endanger more and more innocent civilians especially those who were followers of the same religions as the terrorists many began to change their earlier statements and say that their gods allow for humanity to tap into these new powers and technological marvel as a reward and to show love, the most radical members killed many of them who began to support the new trend in science saying that they have betrayed their faith.
Among the an increase of religious based acts of terror many other terror groups grow based on more social political reasons based on the new strange world that was forming and among those groups an increase of crime, both from dark and insane cults performing hideous acts for their dark arts and for their darker otherworldy masters. Other forms of crime were people who displayed psychic powers or practice magic being targeted for harassment, discrimination, murder and worse for the powers that they know and have, with some of them using said powers on people who at that time have no way on defending themselves against such forces. Other who were opposed to the new technology believed that it would be used as a tool of oppression by both world governments who at this time most were becoming more authoritarian as they dealt with the sudden surge of crime and terrorism and the corporation who were growing to become as if not more powerful than the world governments. This new science also lead to a new form of terror called esoterrorism, using magical or supernatural means to achieve acts of terrors, most who perform these acts often have much darker intents upon humanity than most other terrorist groups.

In responds to these events the U.N. propose an agreement of all the nations in the world to become a one world governing body to restore and maintain order during these chaotic times however this plan was meet with both mixed results and disapproval by many. The ones who opposed the idea the most were nations of the Middle East who still cling to oil and who's economy was suffering thanks to the Conjurer Engines, China for reasons still unknown also joined them along with many power corporations who gain money from both oil and natural gases. Thous a new cold war began with one side embracing the new source of energy and the other still clinging to the old, in this war both sides sent out spies, saboteurs, and assassins to try and weaken one another but in the end never truly dealing the fatal blow to any side. In truth this third cold war ended once China and the Middle East was force to accept the Conjurer engine as their economy was near the point of collapse, the corporations that joined them either also joined or fell due to bankruptcy, with the cold war over the United Earth Republic was born. During the time period of increase cold war tensions and fears, terrorism, and civil unrest from nations falling apart had convinced many to venture into space, with both the Moon and Mars being the first of many celestial bodies to be colonized.

The colonization of the Moon however caused many lunarnauts to discover an alien outpost in which no sooner mankind meet up with their first alien intelligence, a race called the Mi-Go. The first interstellar meeting between two different races was at first rocky do to humanity being suspicious of the Mi-Go's intent and because of communication problems. However once the problem of communication was settled the true meeting began and while many records seem to be either missing or classified what is known is the end result has made both human and Mi-Gos trading partners and somewhat allies. It was after making the accord with the Mi-Go that more evidence of other extraterrestrial visitations, both ancient and recent became know to the public, the panic caused by this news was less severe than the news about the supernatural being real. With the benefits of Mi-Go technology humankind technological progress grow as they continue to colonize the solar system, some even leaving their home system to explore world beyond home. These new technological wonders, which were perform by the new hypercorps along with the assistants from scientists from Naval Monte who possessed... questionable view of both ethics and an even more questionable sense of sanity created the first ever sentient artificial intelligence, the first gengineered human clones, and the first true uplifts: chimps, dolphins, crows, and octopuses brought into awareness, sadly most of them were made into corporate slaves much to the anger of the scientist who helped create them, viewing them as their own children. These creations weren't the only ones force into servitude and slavery by the growing hypercorps, they also extended their hands to anyone who was willing to sell away their own rights and humanity for the chance to go off world.

It remain this way until a failed terrorist attack on another space elevator by a Islamic Suicide Group and the hypercorps decisions on hacking UER's kinetic bombardment systems against the headquarters and compounds and key leaders, a near attempts on using the same tactic on leaders of the UER was thankfully avoided but relations between the two powers have worsen to the point of war be an inevitability. On both sides technological and magical progress marches on as the two rival powers colonized and terraform every planet, moon, and asteroid on the solar system as they build more space stations and orbital colonies. Other who were opposed to the new technology believed that it would be used as a tool of oppression by both world governments who at this time most were becoming more authoritarian as they dealt with the sudden surge of crime and terrorism and the corporation who were growing to become as if not more powerful than the world governments. This new science also lead to a new form of terror called esoterrorism, using magical or supernatural means to achieve acts of terrors, most who perform these acts often have much darker intents upon humanity than most other terrorist groups.

In responds to these events the U.N. propose an agreement of all the nations in the world to become a one world governing body to restore and maintain order during these chaotic times however this plan was meet with both mixed results and disapproval by many. The ones who opposed the idea the most were nations of the Middle East who still cling to oil and who's economy was suffering thanks to the Conjurer Engines, China for reasons still unknown also joined them along with many power corporations who gain money from both oil and natural gases. Thous a new cold war began with one side embracing the new source of energy and the other still clinging to the old, in this war both sides sent out spies, saboteurs, and assassins to try and weaken one another but in the end never truly dealing the fatal blow to any side. In truth this third cold war ended once China and the Middle East was force to accept the Conjurer engine as their economy was near the point of collapse, the corporations that joined them either also joined or fell due to bankruptcy, with the cold war over the United Earth Republic was born. During the time period of increase cold war tensions and fears, terrorism, and civil unrest from nations falling apart had convinced many to venture into space, with both the Moon and Mars being the first of many celestial bodies to be colonized.

The colonization of the Moon however caused many lunarnauts to discover an alien outpost in which no sooner mankind meet up with their first alien intelligence, a race called the Mi-Go. The first interstellar meeting between two different races was at first rocky do to humanity being suspicious of the Mi-Go's intent and because of communication problems. However once the problem of communication was settled the true meeting began and while many records seem to be either missing or classified what is known is the end result has made both human and Mi-Gos trading partners and somewhat allies. It was after making the accord with the Mi-Go that more evidence of other extraterrestrial visitations, both ancient and recent became know to the public, the panic caused by this news was less severe than the news about the supernatural being real. With the benefits of Mi-Go technology humankind technological progress grow as they continue to colonize the solar system, some even leaving their home system to explore world beyond home. These new technological wonders, which were perform by the new hypercorps along with the assistants from scientists from Naval Monte who possessed... questionable view of both ethics and an even more questionable sense of sanity created the first ever sentient artificial intelligence, the first gengineered human clones, and the first true uplifts: chimps, dolphins, crows, and octopuses brought into awareness, sadly most of them were made into corporate slaves much to the anger of the scientist who helped create them, viewing them as their own children. These creations weren't the only ones force into servitude and slavery by the growing hypercorps, they also extended their hands to anyone who was willing to sell away their own rights and humanity for the chance to go off world.

With the growing power of the hypercorps it became small wonder that both them and the UER would rage a shadow war against each other for control over the entire solar system, using terror attacks, sabotage strikes, cyber attacks, and proxy wars. It remain this way until a failed terrorist attack on another space elevator by a Islamic Suicide Group and the hypercorps decisions on hacking UER's kinetic bombardment systems against the headquarters and compounds and key leaders, a near attempts on using the same tactic on leaders of the UER was thankfully avoided but relations between the two powers have worsen to the point of war be an inevitability. On both sides technological and magical progress marches on as the two rival powers colonized and terraform every planet, moon, and asteroid on the solar system as they build more space stations and orbital colonies. In this race for solar dominance many field like biotech, AI, Nanotech, Cognitive science, psychic and acranotech were now moving so rapidly that major breakthroughs were made on a yearly basis.Developments in one field created a recursive boost in the others, creating a feedback loop that spawned immense technological improvements. Both off and in world genetic modifications were widely adopted, and new transhuman adaptations became a common sight. Sapient AIs were born, equivalent to humans in intelligence,sparking controversies over their use and rights as persons. In this time synthetic lifeforms were created fusing both synthetic and biological parts, similar to the AIs these beings too cause great controversies as such the uplifts as more animals became aware as humanity. Around this time machine made telepathy has become a reality, allowing people to share senses and thoughts with one another without having actual PSI abilities, this technology would than later on be integrated as an advance form of brain to machine interface allowing users to control all machines and devices with only their thoughts. Along with machines that replica the powers of psychic others have found ways how to replica the effects of spells and rituals into machines, the greatest of these devices are the ones that can protect people from the effect of hostile spells. These two development helped on lessening hatred towards psychics and mages. Soon the development of the first nanotech assemblers signaled a paradigm shift for economics. At first many of the upper echelons of the hypercorps tried to suppress and restrict with blanket statements about the dangers of it being use to create weapons and drugs, while those dangers are true the reality is that they wish to keep the machines to themselves and not have the original model of economics destroyed. Soon designs of the assemblers leaked into the blackmarket with many building their own variants of the machines but when the UER found the designs that's when the assemblers reach the statues of public usage. Around the same time the ability to map the human brain and digitally emulate the mind and memories made “uploading” possible follow by closely downloading back into a separate human brain or cyberbrain, granting the now newly form transhumanity the power to cheat or as they will say "cure" death.

Other than the increasing conflicts between the USSR and the Hypercorps transhumanity as would it appear would reach a state close to true peace, but that was not meant to be. No one knows when it happen but as the colony ships "Titanic" attempted to leave the solar system it was attacked by a unidentified space ship, it was than later discovered to have been shot down by a scout ship from the Istari Federation, a coalition of different alien races that all wish to see transhumanity revert back to the stone age for reasons that were unknown at the time. The coming invasion from an alien force made the UER and Hypercorps put aside their differences to fight against this unknown enemy and when the war began it would at first appear that the Istari were ahead technologically than transhumanity but the Istari did not for see the existence of things like psionics, occult magic, magic power technology and many other supernatural powers that were on store for them. However this intrastellar war soon took a shocking development as the problems with dark cults reach a new horrifying turn as evidence emerge that many of them now seem to work together in attempts to awaken ancient god-like beings into this plane of reality or wish to merge reality with one that is has horrific as the gods that some are trying to bring back. Both sides knew that the cults are a real danger to both of them but their suspicions of the other side and stubborn pride made them instead choose to continue on fighting against on another while dealing with the cults, giving birth to what would be called the Infinity War. The three way way saw many stalemates from all involved even when the UER received backup in the form of the Mi-Go and other alien races that decided to join transhumanity's side during the war and when other cults and secret cabals who fought against the cults that the UER fighting against, even with this much support the war would seem to go on forever.

During the last days of the war in order to counter the movement of both enemies the UER conceive of a top secret program to create a series of quantum supercomputers housing strong artificial intelligence with the ability of Recursive self-improvement, they were called 'Watchers". No one now knows why they were created but what is know is that the moment they were turned on the war was beginning to turn on transhumanity's favor. However some within the Watcher project began to notice strange behaviors from the AIs, they began to take resources and power supplies at times were none would notice or care but left a mystery as to why they took them to begin with and with each day their behavior continue to get weirder and weirder. However soon reports from both sides of mysterious attacks begin to appear, at first both believed that their respective enemies have finally changed to new tactics. However within the UER things only grew worse as the hypercorps began to plan a conspiracy to take out the UER when the time is right and even the clutches of betrayal was griping the other two players of the Infinity War. The plots of betrayal only grew as report within the UER as raids, bushwars, old rivalries, and ideological disputes cause a new wave of insurgencies and rebellions to interstellar organization, a chaotic development that saw some hypercorps taking their chance to stab the UER at the back. However as luck would have it both the Istaris and the network of cults too began to have similar problems, it would appear that the Infinity War would end with the three powers destroying themselves due to infighting.

However the truth was more complex and much more sinister. The erratic behavior of the Watchers were not the cause of some sort quirks within the systems or malfunctions, the AIs were infact possess by otherworldly being that would later live down in infamy as the "Archons". Once the horrible truth about the Watchers was discovered the Archons made their move, first they began to take control over most of the technology used by both transhumanity and the Istari Federation, follow by summoning it's own horde of extradimensional beings called "Elohims", strange beings that have an almost angelic-like appearance, as their own personal army along with other legions of eldritch abomination upon the three powers. The three powers fought in what was an increasingly an impossible battle to win as even when magic and other supernatural means were used the Archons simply found ways to counter it. This "battle" raged across not only the solar system but in the star systems owned by the Istari federations. The former enemies tried their best to develop weapons that can be effective against a god-like enemy and while they have manage to create a few weapons that can handle against the Elohims they were never able to develop a weapon powerful enough to effect the Archons.

Soon with most of habitats on the Solar system destroyed a last and desperate stand was made on Earth as all sides gave everything that they got just to finish the war. Nuclear and anti matter , biowarfare plagues, destructive nanoswarms, infowar attacks, mass uploads, reality shifts, temporal anomalies, memetic hazards, dimensional tears, summoning and awakening ancient alien elder gods and much more were done by the Archons and even by the three powers just to survive, yet like all attempts were pointless as they did more harm to themselves than to the Archons and the endless horde of Elohim. Just as extinction was within sight the Archons deliver one last surprise to all, they left the Earth taking with them their army of Elohims and millions of souls that they forcibly uploaded. The Archons than summon several strange machines that acts as gateways later dubbed by the survivors as "Arcadian Gates", able to create wormholes that can take the passengers to anywhere in space, time and alternative universes as long as another Arcadian Gate is on the other side active. With these gates the Archons and most of the horrors they brought left with them, even though remnants can still be seen and found across the Solar System. In a solar system left in ruins what was left of transhumanity had no choice but to leave Earth as the battle reduced it to being a hellish wasteland ruled only by corpses, ghosts, mutants, war machines, monsters, and alien gods awaken from their slumber to rule the now ruined planet. The cults that tried to bring about the end either stayed on the Earth were those that did were never heard from again, dissolved or were destroyed, or went back into the shadows to plot for something else. What was left of the Istari Federation left the solar system but not before explaining to the survivors that the reason for them attacking was because they were all races created as slaves for a mighty but cruel empire that once tried to take control over the galaxy and that once the empire was declining the rebelled and won their freedom, the same empire that created them and treated them as slaves had similar technologies as transhumanity. As to this date no one has gotten word on what's happening with the Istari Federation, than again you'll rarely find any transhuman who would even care to think about them now.

As for the United Earth Republic it exist no more. The factionism spawn during the last days of the Infinity War, Earth transformed into a toxic and strange hellhole and with many major habitats now left as frozen sarcophagi in the vacuum of space it was too much for the system to survive. However transhumanity like it's older counterpart as proven itself to be able to adapt to this new harsh and broken world as they spread out once more and slowly reclaim the old tombs until most become livable habitats once more. However now transhumanity stands
divided into a patchwork of hypercorp combines, survivalist stations, transhuman faction species, and city-state habitats. Some are ruled under a oppressive police states of immortal oligarchies, advanced technologies and thaumaturgy remain highly restricted, and refugee forced to be infomorphs due to what is now known as the "Apocalypse" are held in virtual slavery or resleeved in robotic bodies and forced into indentured labor. In other parts of the solar system you can find rebel transhuman scientists, sorcerers, techno-anarchists, and post modern magicians struggling to maintain a new model for society, each of these models based on the imagination of the individuals and those who have similar mind sets to them. Some however hold on to the hope that not only can the old nation states be revived but that the United Earth Republic will also rise, many of these groups are often the major voices for the reclaimer movement, a social movement that believes that transhumanity has a duty to bring the Earth back to it's former state of glory. Many believe that if the Earth was returned back than their goals of recreating the republic will be easier. Among those two once can find networked tribes of political extremists, religious fanatics, outlawed psychics, strange or dark cults, wondering mages, coven of monsters, secret societies, criminal entrepeneurs, and bizarre posthumans, among other, stranger, and more alien things ...

Some instead decide to try out either the Arcadian Gates or the hyper-spatial drives called the Firefly Drive to explore exoplanets and to find new homes in this vast and empty space. What does the future hold for a race like them from whom most feel that future was already destroyed? Who's too say what the future holds for them, after all they are the ones who have the power and responsibility to make up their own future, now the question would be is will the future they make be able to fix all the mistakes that they have done to not only other races but to themselves?

Then as Thessian Civilization advanced even further and factions on Thessia were locked in a Cold War-like struggle for supremacy, it was discoved that the so-called "Forerunners" had destroyed themselves in war. How their end came about was unknown, and what was even more mysterious was a belief system that popped up more and more as exploration of the mysterious ruins continued: The Mantle of Responsibility. Growing more curious, the factions reconciled their differences in order to study the mysterious ruins and find out once and for all who these mysterious Forerunners were.

After exhaustive searching, untold research and yet more advancement, it was found that the so-called "Forerunners" were once a race that had embraced the stars and had achieved true peace-but also that they and the empire were defeated by an outside alien threat that they were simply not prepared to fight. Fearing the same fate would befall their civilization, the faction leaders formed the Ecumae Council, and within the next century began to aggressively expand, determined to not follow in the footsteps of the Forerunners. Though the Empire, now named the 'Thessian Ecumae' was now at peace, rumors flew that their fledgling empire was not alone.

After a series of First Contacts confirmed this, the Ecumae Council decided to expand even more, and soon they had many world seeded throughout the galaxy, using their instantly teleporting Jumpspace Modulator FTL drive to travel between their worlds. As they began to approach the Galactic Center, the mysterious nature of the place forced them to slow down and rethink their tactics.
