The battle rages on! With the First Fleet now being destroyed, Legion naval support was gonna be minimal untill the Second Wave arrives. Luckily enough damage was done to keep the Syndicate from advancing onto the beach head.

On the mainland, the Dragoon force that charged the Legion ranks still refused to die. Though they won't be able to hold out much longer against the Legion firepower. They had courage though, willing to charge Marauder tanks, on foot or on horseback, armed with explosives and rocket launchers. That either takes titanium balls or the abscense of a brain. Or both. The enemy's attempts to disable the Marauders was quite fruitless, whenever they tried their anti infantry weapons decimated them in their charge and there were always Legionnaires around that were using the massive tanks for cover.

Some daring foes even engaged Legionnaires in close combat with bayonets and sabres, their quickly realised their limbs were missing, chopped off in one swift motion by a Deathscythe combat blade. Some Legionnaires, in their zealous rage, put so much force in the swing it chopped them in half! Some carelessly stabbed instead, and the blade sometimes dug too deep to let loose again, those Legionnaires walked around with a dead enemy stuck to their arm. Not a very happy sight to behold.

From the back lines, Vanquisher tanks charged the entrenched foes. Light, fast and very deadly, driving over dead horses, firing their weapons at entrenched enemies on the field.

Then the Vissish foes arrived. Their foolish troops charged an entrenched Warband, most were mowed down by chainguns before even getting close to the trench. Those that did and entered melee soon learned of their mistake. One Legionnaire got stabbed in the stomach, but refused to die, instead he tackled the foe that stabbed him, knocking him to the ground and literally clawing his face off and ripping out the front piece of his skull, before being put down by another foe. The brawl did not last long, flame and steel pushed the Vissish out of the trench almost as fast as they got in them.

Death was all over the battlefield, the ground turned to mud in some places because of all the blood. It was glorious.

The panginistian forces lost over 8 thousand men in the massive storming of the beaches. However by the end of the first day over 750,000 troops had already landed. Most had objectives meaning they would not stop until they got to their first towns inland. Some upto 30 kilometers away. But the advance still kept rolling. Those who did not flee or surrender faced self propelled artillery, airstrike tank and infantry fire. Towns were taken quickly. Civilians were rounded up and sent to towns further into panginistian territory to spare them from the war they were well fed, treated well. Prisioners of war fared no worse and were treated with great respect.

The invasion was going like clockwork. The second day was at its peak and another two and a half million more men across the entire new front had landed along with their respective tanks and other Armour support. The front kept moving forward with a break neck pace. Towns near natural obsticles like small swamps would be taken and tanks only slightly further behind with widened tracks to compensate for the soft ground took lead. Strongpoints of resistance were identified and the forces nearby would simply go past. Encircle and then strong point breaking battalions would then take swift care of their foes. Cardulans troops were simply out classed. It was not rare to hear tank crews talk about how cardulans outdated anti tank weapons would simply bounce off the angular Armour plates.

In the skies above helicopters and fighters turned exposed roads into highways of death. Taking leisure in strafing with impunity. Support was assigned to take out the dragoons who were engaging the doom legions laughed as they dropped napalm on the unprotected horses. On the fuel and food front for the airforces they started to run low on Food and Fuel depots to destroy.

Rangers were deployed in counter guerrilla and full on guerrilla operations. Either preventing ambushes on their nations troops while setting up their own.

The forces of cardulan would soon break. The constant bombings and artillery fire and napalm stikes take their toll. Troops wheeled from the northern front were more than tired. And the worst would be the realization that if this invasion force was somehow stopped and or destroyed then Panginista would just send another. And another

While the first Iron Phalanx, after a harsh battle with Vissish troops, was defeated, half of it retreated in the woods. The troops on the west and east side of Cardulan were causing chaos, so their mission was being successful, but, The Iron Phalanx failed. Even if a lot of Vissish troops died in the battle, there also died a lot of Larthinian troops, and they were pushed back; so, they needed a better strategy to be able to advance on the enemy lands:

And this was the strategy: There would be a Second Iron Phalanx, bigger, stronger, wider, and scarier. In the core of the Iron Phalanx, there would be 5,000 Larthinian Elite Troops, which are the strongest soldiers of Larthinia; they would be surrounded by tanks; there would be the 70,000 Larthinian average troops, which would also be surrounded by tanks. So, the Second Iron Phalanx would have 2x times more troops. The Iron Phalanx would be protected by some huge shield covering the whole phalanx, held by 3,000 troops. But, in case they were ambushed, this time, a better strategy would occur: After the first line of tanks is destroyed, the 70,000 Larthinian troops would split into 2 groups, each one of 35,000 Larthinian troops; Each group would try to surround the enemy, making a circle around it; if the mission isn't successful, the Larthinian troops would call backup; if they successfully surrounded the enemies, the tanks surrounding the elite troops would also make a circle around the enemy, firing at the enemy; the Elite Forces would stay back and intervene only when needed; if the whole Phalanx doesn't survive the ambush, A army of 30,000 Elite Forces hiding in the woods, along 400 military helicopters, 20 stealth bombers and 500 tanks would intervene and surprise the enemy.

With this strategy, The Second Iron Phalanx was put on track. It started slowly advancing towards Tarbad, destroying any city in it's path. This time, the troops were more careful to any ambush that could encounter, and they were much better prepared, putting a tougher fight.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I put spies everywhere around this new Iron Phalanx, so they can predict if any attack/ambush is close.

Declaration of War
Farledor has seen the increased aggression of foreign militarized nations abusing their power upon a nation of innocence, because of this act, Farledor had begun a debate of whether or not to intervene. Considering the power of the invading nations, the government had come into agreement- if Cardulan was not saved, more nations would fall to a wave of violence and warfare. Farledor would continue to watch the events unfold.

But now, they seek intervention.

"The recent actions of four nations responsible for the invasion of Cardulan has piqued more than interest. It has risen anger amongst us, and, among our people. Farledor may not be under direct threat from these four nations, but we will not sit idle as they rampage and attempt to destabilize a nation of innocent people. Cardulan is not a battlefield, but a civilization, and I say as Farledorians, we no longer sit idle and watch a war unfold before us. A fleet has been organized, we've sent a message to the Cardulan government, asking if we may attempt to land upon their shores by aircraft or by sea, and attempt to secure their liberty from the invaders.

This, is a declaration of war against the Larthinia, Paginista, Nova Marshal, and the Legions. We will only halt this once Cardulan and it's allies are free from the terror that these four sow. I am not going to seek peace until otherwise."

And, there was no bluff, a message had been sent to the Cardulan government.
"Cardulan

This is President Lucius Victus, I am the leader of Farledor, this message is personal and direct for many reasons. The most important is that of the attackers and their need to expand. While I have had no involvement previously with your people nor nation, I wish to sent help to your nation. A fleet, organized by my best admirals will be sent to your land, but only if we have permission to march upon your shores in order to protect them from the threat. I wish you the best of luck in this ongoing war, and hope the lives I'm putting on the line will not perish nor die in vein, but secure a victory for you and your people against these legions of hatred.

I await your response."

REPUBLIC OF BOHEMORAVIA

Leaders of the Nations involved,

We have told you before that we could not tolerate the violation of our airspace. We asked you politely, we urged you, we begged you yet you did not listen. We pledged to remain neutral and asked your men to surrender and end this senseless war. You replied by turning this war into a genocide. We extended a hand of friendship and you pushed it away. Our pleas for peace were answered with the indiscriminate use of illegal weapons against population centers, against unarmed civilians, women and children.

This we can not allow. We must admit that we don’t have an understanding of what you want to reach with this war but we do know that you must be utterly out of your senses. For the sake of humanity, for the sake of peace and understanding we ask you one last time to announce and immediate cease fire. Hand over your weapons and march in an orderly fashion towards the Bohemoravian border. Your soldiers will be taken prisoner and will be interned till we can safely get them out of our nation. This is the reasonable thing to do, this is the right thing to do. Do it now and your men will survive. Reject this generous offer and we see no other way than taking up arms.

To our allies in the Sovereign Charter we have to say this: As our treaties dictate, in this case of emergency our bases are your bases. Free Tuks, Cardulan, Ianarea and all their allies and friends are free to use our nation to refuel, rearm and refit their aquatic, aerial and ground equipment. Our tanker planes and our tankers and armories at sea are at your disposal. Satellite and aerial reconnaissance data will be shared with you via the members of the Charter.

We urge the members of the Charter and their allies to accept the surrender or the Doom Legion and their helpers and inflict no further harm upon them once they give up their weapons.

Line infantry was forced to withdraw from the trenches, decimated and winded. The Legionnaires were fighting without any organization, but with dangerous mix of enthusiasm and some kind of hard drugs.
The Emperor turned to the 1st Foot Guards and drew his sabre. Without any sign of hesitation, the Eagleguard attacked the entrenched warband of Doomians, literally tearing them into pieces by any means necessary, no matter their armor or fortification. After all, these were the Emperor's own, some of the best warriors ever raised in Vissegaard.
And so, their charge first involving massive streams of machine gun fire, followed by two volleys of grenades and finally a clash of pistols, sabres, knives and bayonets was not stopped and they flooded the trenches, purging it of its inhabitants. The casualties on Doomian side were unknown, but circa 600 men of line infantry from the 83rd Division were dead. Losses among the Guard were very low, about 120 out of 6000. The rest of infantry - 800 soldiers - was ordered to hold the trenches.

Meanwhile, the 83rd Division's stationary artillery established an outpost on the hilltop, opening fire onto the last Doomian troops in range, while the huge force of MBTs attacked their western flank, pushing them towards the Cardulian Dragoons and artillery. The battle was almost over.

The airforces of Paginista like swarms of blood thirsty eagles swooped down onto the Vissegaad forces engaging their doom legion allies. Those Vissegaad in the captured areas of the trenches faced precision napalm strikes down the length of the trenches. The fires spreading. Burning them alive. Those outside fared no better as the aircraft, swift and silent until it was too late tore the Vissegaad forces with their high calibre high velocity cannons and devastating missile strikes. The Vissegaad 87th division fared no better as a force of 50 ground attack aircraft carpeted the hill in ordinance. Ammunition exploded and the little amount of bush scrub and trees also caught fire. The tank brigade fared no better as tanks exploded or were filled with bullets under the weight of fire

Turning away when their payloads had been dropped and the pilots were satisfied with the damage the aircraft flew back to their bases. Leaving temendous casualties in their wake.

The second wave came in and slammed thousands of tons of ordinance and cannon fire down upon the forces of Cardulan. Missiles and napalm bombs threw massive holes in the remainding formations. Many aircraft used most of their ammunition for their 30mm cannons in great strafing runs across the dragoons. The cases raining down. Other aircraft dropped cluster bombs wreaking more havoc as they turned back to strike again. By the time the strafing and the bombing stopped for the second time it was impossible to tell that the field once may have supported life.

There was no doubts those who survived were scarred for life

"We have warned you about doing this. Why do you have the urge to die here in the Sovereign Carter? Don't you want to die at home?" The wing commander told his Paginista counterpart via radio as he fired his missiles into his adversaries jet.

The advantage of the Bohemoravian air force was not only the knowledge of the weather, the terrain and the winds but also that of range. Paginista had to make dramatic compromises to be able to even reach Cardulan with a significant payload and be able to fly back to a friendly nation, while Bohemoravia was just across the bay. Without satellites the Paginista forces had neither knowledge of the positions where the Bohemoravian forces where located, they were not even able to predict the weather or communicate with their headquarters nor could they navigate such a long distance precisely anymore.
EM pulses and air defense of the close by Aspari fleet had to be taken into consideration as well.

The Bohemoravian air force used their advantages to the fullest. Heavy ground systems ripped bleeding holes in the Paginista formations from the Bohemoravian mainland. They navy's air defense systems fired upon Paginista's forces from the bay long before they could reach Larach.

Then the jets came at the ill prepared heavily decimated enemy who was equipped for ground attacks. The 30 mm cannons could not compete in range with the air to air missiles. The slow ground attack aircraft did not stand a chance against Bohemoravia's interceptors. Wave after wave came the jets across the border sparing the lives of the Doom Legion on the ground but making their statement obvious to Paginista.

Damaged jets flew back across the border only to be replaced by new ones in no time. A fair warning was given that any pursuit into Bohemoravian airspace would be considered and act of all out war and would trigger Bohemoravia's alliances.

Prime Minister Jan Bedrich announced on TV:

"Today we will spare the troops on the ground and only intercept and destroy Paginista's air force. This is the final warning. If you do not surrender now we will give up our neutrality."

Bohemoravia's coast guard and search and rescue unites did their best to save as many sailors from all sides as possible. Wounded sailors and marines from the Doom Legion are flown to hospitals and treated according to their wounds. Those fit enough to travell are handed over to Aeiouia.

The Bohemoravian air-forces although for the first wave of attacks gained partial surprise on fringe areas of combat operations did not get very far in their attacks. The massive fleet panginista possessed near the shores of cardulan had several large super carriers and countless missile destroyers corvettes and other such ships capable of defending the beach heads shot down Bohemoravian aircraft with impunity. The fighters in the air, had found an equal for the time force to fight. They knew that the satellite network was mostly destroyed but that also effected everyone else. The hundreds of orbital satellites being destroyed created a debris feild so large it took many other nations satellite programs entirely off the map. Including that of the Mercs, Bohemoravian, Cardulan and their other allies.

The ground attack aircraft although less able to fight jets on their own were not without their escorts. Most attacks on them were intercepted by the panginistian airforces own interceptors and fighters. The fighters that the Bohemoravians flew over the ground forces would fare no better as there far no lack of AA missile tanks across the entire front. It wasn't too long before most of the airforce dedicated to cardulan and even some from the second fleet was scrambled. Although the satellites were lost there was still great feeds of information coming in as high altitude recon aircraft and sub orbital satellites gave detailed updates on Bohemoravian movements.

With this action when the Bohemoravian airforces sent were either in retreat or were downed panginista stuck back with most of its reserve fighters not assigned to air support. Flying low and fast they blazed a trail over the cardulan Bohemoravian border and began preemptive strikes on Bohemoravian military bases. Airfeilds, Fuel depots and refineries, naval assets and even a weapons factory along with Bohemoravian's strike force. The ships of the vast fleet also took part as they fired their long range missiles in all powerful volleys . Further crippling the already shattered Bohemoravian ability to fight.

The submarine wolf packs that had so far taken a small part of the conflict were given their assignments. In the middle of the night they would destroy Bohemoravia's fleet.

DIspite the attack still more men were coming ashore to fight. So far nearly 3 million men over a front spanning the entire cardulan southern coast were on the ground. With more pouring in

A warning was given to Bohemoravian. If you fight us then you will face what we havent even subjected Cardulan to. Your nation can and will be easily overrun. However if you do wish to go ahead with your wish to destroy your own nation then we can guarantee you we shall treat prisoners with respect. We can out last you economically, militarily and under the weight of clearly superior technology. Your nation will fall in weeks if you do not stand down. Think for your citizens.

The siege of Tarabad.

Postby Larthinia » Fri Mar 06, 2015 2:23 am

The Second Iron Phalanx kept advancing towards Tarabad, until now encountering no resistance at all, except some armed civilians which were quickly taken out. They destroyed 1 city in their path, and that city was Marishbur. They were so very close to Tarabad, but they were curious why nobody was showing up.
This is abnormal. Why did nobody show up to attack us until now? Is this a trap? said to himself the general.
And, while he was thinking, he had to decide: Camp near Tarabad and send scouts in to see if there is any resistance? Or attack straightly, risking its soldier's lives? He decided to make a mix of the two choices: The Second Iron Phalanx would surround Tarabad, blocking anybody trying to escape's way out.

And that's what they did. After the general's order, The Second Iron Phalanx swiftly and quietly surrounded the city. The tanks were the first, and then the troops. At the general's order, they would unleash chaos upon Tarabad. But, for now, all they had to do was to shoot anybody coming out of the city. They were basically recreating a classic siege scene. Blocking the city's way out, they wanted to stay there until inner Tarabad forces would remain without resources. That is when The Second Iron Phalanx would attack the city.

The general hoped the plan will work. Because, if it didn't work, it would take very much time to make another Phalanx and come back to Tarabad all the way. Hell, he would even have to think a different strategy, since, if the second Phalanx would be defeated, the enemies would know what to expect. And, so, the general and the army surrounding Tarabad waited.

"Farledor, my people, my nation. I'd like to make aware of the recent decisions of this government, and the consequences of the actions by the opposing force. The Bohemoravian government has discussed with us the actions in which can be taken to let our stance in this war strengthen. With the attacks done to the Bohemoravian coast, Farledor will be deploying a hundred of fighter aircraft and the 1st and 2nd Airborne divisions, a total of 23,000 brave men and woman. I wish we could take a diplomatic route like any human, we all want peace, but there has only been further escalation in the area. While we await a reponse from Cardulan, we will not stand idle, we will intervene. We're not here to wage war senselessly like the opposing, but much rather pacify this region. I refuse to see a place of civilizations be consistently degraded into nothing more than ash, we will win, we will remove these enemies from the area in which they are attempting to gain control of, and we will secure peace. That is all."

As permission had been granted in the telegrams of before, Farledor's planes (both transport craft and fighters) begin to head toward Bohemoravia. They come from the south, from the sea, seeing as Farledor did not or could not secure a passage through the southern nations eastward. It would have to fly over airspace caught in war no doubt, but with an entire wing at their back, the transport aircraft were expected to make it. Much like a fleet, the skys were covered in the black dots over the clouds. Uncountable with the naked eye. Back at home overseas, Farledor's fleet would awaken slowly, a fleet of transportation much rather than combat, the Farledorians factories fixing up new metal plates and frames of vessels. The cultural diversity of Farledor had changed, and the war would on further remove culture for quicker, modern methods. Old architecture was no longer of beauty and history, but that of observation posts and barracks.

Line infantry in the trenches was now close to extinction. Of the original 1,200 men, only 200 was now alive and capable of fighting. About 150 were seriously scorched by the napalm strikes and required medical assistance. The machinery they were carrying was also badly damaged and fuel reserves were burned out. They were ordered to withdraw and establish an outpost south of Larach.

The tank brigade, however, wasn't damaged at all. Yes, there were several tanks destroyed, but they were very few and losses were minimal. It was mainly because of their rapid movement towards the Doomian lines, which made them a difficult target for Paginistan bombers. Now they swiftly rode throughout the very center of battle in loose, varying formations, evading the strong positions of Doomian army and striking their weak spots with ease. Legionnaires in trenches were not attacked by them, they focused on the troops on move and incapable of effective defence against missile attacks from afar. Of course, Legionnaires were not stupid and actively seeked cover from the Vissish tanks, which minimized their casualties. And so, Doomians were forced to strenghten their fortified positions and remain stuck in place behind their sandbags and barbwire.

The artillery troops on the hilltop now concentrated shelling on the fortified Legionnaires, leaving them two options - to stay and be bombarded, or to try their luck and withdraw.

ENV Sheena Gatila, 2nd Splinter Fleet
Admiral Glennel Robbin

Onboard the Sheena Gatila were only members for such a large arsenal ship-144. It boasted automation on monitoring its conditions, cutting down crew requirements. The depths of its holds were as bright as the bridge-it boasted a 900 TPWR pushing the beast to 30 knots.

Admiral Glennel Robbin thought more of what to do next; the Jackonians haven't responded to the 1st Splinter Fleet yet. And there was no island on sight, and therefore one cannot freely say "land ho". If anything, he'd broadcast to all allied channels, but the satellites have been smashed to bits-Legion satellites were destroyed, yes, but what remained of them smashed into allied satellites. Moreover, if he broadcasted over the air waves, his message will be intercepted. He, like all Esalonian commanders, won't take chances; he does not want to gamble.

The dark rooms of the central ship command were only lighted by a few colors-crewmen wearing LDPCU, lines and circles on the large screen, various smaller screens around the bridge showing the status of the situation. He wore the same thing as his crew members, add to it body armor.

An officer on the bridge approached him and took his attention. "Sir. *salute*"

"Anything?" Admiral Robbin replied.

"We got what seems to be...an Opplandian fleet to the northwest. And the Paginistan fleet is nowhere to be found."

"Contact that Opplandian fleet and we'll rendezvous with them."

Admiral Robbins approached a microphone connected to a radio to transmit a message towards the Opplandian fleet to the northwest.

SIC:

"Opplandian fleet, this is Admiral Robbins of the Esalonian Splinter Fleet 1-2. Request permission to rendezvous."

REPUBLIC OF BOHEMORAVIA

Leaders of the Nations involved,

we are shocked and surprised by the attacks of the Doom Legion's allies on our land. The violation of our airspace is an act of war. We are not sure what do you want to reach with this but you have left us with no other choice than to accept your declaration of war.

With this message a no fly zone is established in the sectors 1, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 9. All enemy air craft operating in these sectors will be engaged by interceptors and AA batteries.

Tarbad, Vissish Expeditionary HQ

"HALT!"

Voice of General Fitzkoff filled the air above the Barrack Square, with thousands of soldiers standing in silence with their weapons at hand.
"We are somehow under a siege! How come it that we didn't know it until now?! For God's sake, I thought there was something called an intelligence service!"
A man in gray uniform leaned to General from behind and whispered something into his ear. General's face turned red.
"What do you mean by 'there isn't'?! Well, if the Inquisition doesn't have an office here, make them so! And now, all of you - go tell the CPF. Go tell the city watch. Go tell every ****ing man in this city about how those Larthinians got here and we need to kill'em."

Fitzkoff turned to his advisor, the said man in gray uniform: "How do we stand with infantry numbers?" "8,400 Vissish regulars, about 20,000 CPF volunteers, more still coming, 5,000 police reserves." "So, we basically have a half of what they have, right?!" It seemed like Fitzkoff was going red againg, so The Man in Grey Uniform quickly added: "We have significant advantage in the means of air dominance and artillery firepower." When the General raised his eyebrow, he continued: "Their tactics is literally medieval - all we need to do is to simply counter them at distance, where their infantry weapons mean nothing. We mustn't let them get personal with us.
What I propose is to..." he lowered his voice into a hushed tone. When he was over, Fitzkoff was smiling and the day seemed much sunnier.

FTS Viseriov Aircraft Carrier, command center of the invasion force.
"Sir, the Esalonian fleet is just north of us. They are moving northwest towards the Opplandian fleet sir." Admiral Benny Limratov was standing id the barelly-lit command room when the soldier brought him the news.
The situation played in his favor. They havn't been detected yet, and it seem like they can, together with Esalonia and Opplandia, create a gap in the enemy fleet, enough for the soldiers to disembark.
But still, something didn't feel right to him. Where is the Pangistian fleet? They were supposed to be right on top f it, but for some reason they were not provoked yet.

He decided to do something very risky, something that any sane admiral would never do agains an enemy such as Pangistia. He ordered an aerial patrol. When he said the word "partol", all the soldiers looked at him like he is
retarded. Still all of these soldiers knew that he is the best admiral they have. The jets were quickly prepared and set off towards the horizon. They will only return in a few hours.

Now, he adressed his radio operator: "Corporal! Send a message to the Esalonian fleet. Tell them we are coming in from the south." "Yes, sir!" replied the corporal, and turned to his radio: "Esalonian fleet. I say again, Esalonian fleet. This is the Tukisian fleet coming in from the south. Requesting permission to rendezvous. Please respond. Over."

Soon before the sunset, a small group of almost invisible fighter jets emerged from the city, flying high towards the enemy lines with the sun behind their backs. Now they could see the Second Iron Phalanx in its full grotesque beauty, frightening and ridiculous at the same time.
"Hawk 1, this is 43."
"I hear you clearly."
"Target ahead. What do we exactly do?" They were now behind the Larthinian blockade, above their back lines.
"Strike and be gone. We don't have to fight them."

The Larthinians have noticed Vissish planes in the skies. According to their new tactics, Larthinian combat helicopters have appeared and attempted intercepting those.

"HQ, this is Hawk 1. Seems like the target went ahead to meet us."

Meanwhile, second wave of fighters has left the runways, heading straightly to the area, where the dogfight broke out. Before it could reach its climax, the second wave came in with comfortably clear vision of their enemies, destroying the choppers and then disappearing with the rest of fighters on the horizon. Larthinian losses were not counted, but it looked like almost none of the helicopters involved has landed. The 127th Division lost 38 fighter jets and twenty more were damaged and incapable of further fighting.

The airspace was now secured and Vissish dominance ensured.

The Vissish forces clearly underestimated the organisation of the Legions. Battlemasters constantly worked to keep the ranks organised, and the Legionnaires' iron discipline had them obey, allowing them to keep the army organised.
Though the 300 Legionnaires tasked with holding the trench were dead, the amount of soldiers the Vissish army had to sacrifice to take it, only to see it scorched by Paginistan aircraft, made their deaths more than worth it. Before they died, a Battlemaster fired a flare into the air, notifying the others that they had fallen.

Vissish tanks charged the army, and swiftly Vanquisher tanks moved to engage them, the flare provided enough warning for them to be ready. The Vissish ignored Legionnaires in trenches and other fortified positions to strike at those moving in the open. A mistake that would prove their undoing. Legionnaires, mostly Battlemasters, grabbed their anti-armour weapons, firing at the flanks of Vissish tanks while they were engaging Legion Vanquishers. The Vissish tanks now found themselves extremely mispositioned for their recklessness.

Then a couple Marauders joined the fight against Vissish armour, and the Vissish realised how badly they were screwed. The massive tanks opened fire with their huge guns, tearing through armour with ease, them having not one, but two main cannons allowed them to rapidly fire shell after shell after shell, rapidly decimating the enemy.

Then the enemy artillery begun their barraging. In response, Legion forces requested air support from Paginistan drones to take them out.

At sea, the Second Wave now approached, with the sacrifice of the First Fleet, the Syndicate was forced to temporarily withdraw and mend their wounds, this allowed the Second Wave to rapidly ram through to the coast and drop off its troops at the beach head. Now, with fresh troops, supplies and a new, even bigger fleet, the Legionnaires morale rose even higher than before. Fresh anti-ballistic systems and artillery pieces were now able to keep the entire beach head safe from artillery strikes, and Legion aircraft were once again a relevant piece in the grand plan.

That dogfight counted 40 Larthinian helicopters and 50 Larthinian pilots as casualties.

What the Vissish didn't know was that Larthinians were hiding 500 heavy artillery machines transported by helicopters. The heavy artillery was put around Tarabad and it started firing heavy rounds in Tarabad. They were hearing explosions and screams in Tarabad, but didn't know how much casualties they were actually causing.

After a quarter of the heavy rounds being wasted, The Second Phalanx put in it's second strategy: It retreated in the woods (where it was hardly seen) to make it look like Vissish troops were victorious and lure them out of the city. After they were lured out of the city, The Second Phalanx would surround them and attack them, causing chaos. The heavy artillery would fire from behind.

If anything unexpected would happen, there were 30,000 Elite Forces hiding in the forest, ready to intervene any time it was needed. But, the Vissish didn't know that. If Tarabad would fall in Larthinia's hands, the west and east army of Larthinia causing chaos in the Western and Eastern Cardulan would unite with the Second Phalanx, replacing the dead Larthinians in the battle for Tarabad and forming The Great Phalanx.

With this strategy The Second Phalanx was supposed to capture Tarabad. It was risky, but they clearly know it was worth it.

The Syndicate's substantial satellite network, as well as those of the allied UMS forces, were in no danger. In addition to a substantial network of counter-orbital defensive weapons and their already excellent space program, counter-Kessler measures were in place. Utilizing the vacuum of space to ensure better-than-average performance by high-powered laser systems, point defense systems already in place were good enough to deal with the incoming debris. While experimental, and still not even close to weaponized, the active defense systems aboard the Syndicate's substantial array of extra-orbital objects ensured relative safety of allied satellite networks. Due to the size and potence of the Damocles network, and the Lyran's own defense equipment, no damage was caused by the passive debris drifting about. There would certainly be done bumps and scrapes here and there, but not nearly the full-scale wipeout anticipated by the news company's scare mongers. This was further prevented by the method pic detonation commonly associated with anti-satellite weaponry, which was for the missiles to maneuver themselves so as to place the satellite between themselves and the earth prior to detonation, resulting in most of the debris safely deorbiting and not, in fact, cluttering the skies.

At sea, the battle was over for the moment. Though they still remained, their numbers were enormously reduced. Two carriers had been destroyed when they had used their bulk to shield the Arsenal Ships from the devastating cannons of the Legion fleet, and had gone down in flames. In spite of their efforts, the Legions had simply continued their suicidal charge, blasting through the wreckage of the carriers to smash into the Arsenal Ships they guarded with abandon. Only the sacrifice of one brave captain had stopped the marauding battleship, as he met the ship bow to bow and detonated all remaining torpedoes and missiles, sending both ships up in a fiery conflagration. The proximity to the detonation caused another Arsenal Ship's stockpile of torpedoes to touch off, but the crew managed to dump the remainder of the Kali-class heavy torpedoes before they destroyed the ship as well. However, the entire feed mechanism was destroyed, and the ship's bow was blown. A pair of tenacious Legionnaires managed to crawl through the flames and wreckage, and one inside they set to work doing what they did best. Screams filled the lower decks as the blood-mad marines rampaged like rabid wolves, pulling the limbs off of nearly a dozen sailors and spreading the flames up the stairs and into the crew quarters; they'd been bathed in leaking propellant, but their armor shielded them temporarily from the heat. Syndicate sailors, however, did not possess such armor, and died howling as the Legionnaires bludgeoned them to a burning death with anything in reach. The flames eventually took their toll, but not before the Arsenal Ship had been thoroughly shaken by the determination and ferocity of the soldiers of Doom.

Four of the Tiamat destroyers found themselves ripe targets for the Legion's ramming, but they acquitted themselves admirably; the first ship that was rammed steered hard into the impact, firing it's own cannons at a steep angle through the bow. The high-velocity shells slashed through the smoking, heavily damaged deck and into the forward compartments. Though most of the Legionnaires were on the deck and charging forward, the heavy blast slammed the ship hard, knocking several of the devilish soldiers of their feet. The ship's CIWS quickly leveled with the impacting ship's main deck, and thousands of bullets painted the Legion ship with its crew's blood. However, more soldiers leaped through the gaping holes in the beltway, meeting fusillades of gun fire from the assembled forces of the ship's Marines. Even as they fought though, a second and third ship splintered into it's sleek hull, sending it to the bottom with sheer weight of assaulting vessels. The destroyers fought heroically, but they were worn down steadily, and went up in blazing death one by one. The slender EW corvettes never stood a chance; a battleship's armored prow split the delicate vessel from stem to stern, shredding it like paper-maiche.

All told, the Syndicate had lost much of its fleet: a third of its super-carriers were burning wreckage, one of the Arsenal Ships was in pieces and another was heavily damaged, on fire, and under staffed. Four destroyers had met their fate, as well as all of the EW Corvettes. Every ship had lost sailors to Pandora's Tears, and many had smoking impact wounds from the heavy barrages of the Legion ships. A quick survey also indicated that those who remained were still reeling from the ferocious assault. The commander made the decision to pull back for repairs. With the way substantially cleared buy the sudden lack of a hostile navy, they bee-lined for friendly Bohemoravian ports. They would likely be out of commission for several days, but what remained would unite into a single remaining fleet. Reinforcements had been on the way for some time, and would be on scene shortly.

ENV Sheena Gatila, Splinter Fleet 1-2
Admiral Glennel Robbin

The crew waited. No response. Silence roared for a long time. It was made creepier with the calculating sounds of the computers, and the nearly-dark space of the bridge, only lighted by LCD screens and computers. When someone even tiptoed to the toilet, he was heard. "You may go."-the silence was silenced for the first time in that, then it roared again. It's like the 1700s and they were on a galleon named Sheena Gatila, and in the middle of the Pacific. Neither the Jackonians nor the Opplandians responded to either splinter fleets.

"Shall we advance sir?" said an officer.

"I don't know. We need to resupply." replied Admiral Robbin.

"Remember: our nuclear core can last for 10 years."

"Food?"

"One and a half at most."

"Let's head north. We have naval superiority to destroy."

"Whose naval superiority?"

"Practical sense, tuber. We're to destroy the Doom Coalition fleet. Head north, and search for any hostile vessel formation. We got a database of those."

Splinter Fleet 1-2 still sailed north towards the action, where the Doom Legion Navy were fighting. They had to join in on the fun. Meanwhile, he broadcasted to allied channels this message:
To all allied vessels, this is ENV Sheena Gatila of the Esalonian Splinter Fleet 1-2. We have engaged Paginistan vessels. We request permission to establish permanent communications and coordinate a naval offensive.

The Overtake, Esalonia
Underground War Room

The Underground War Room is located beneath the Overtake, the Esalonian government's executive office. Located smack dab in the middle of Saint Ivalice and just across the Victory River, it also has military fortifications, ranging from underwater VLS cells to FEL turrets deploying from underground. Helicopter patrols flew around, trying to scope down any incoming possible intruder.

The Underground War Room was very busy with the leading military officials and the commander-in-chief itself discussing the next moves in the war. From the intervention in the Reserka-Barbradian War to the Doom-Cardulan War, they discussed it; topic about the Reserka-Barbradian War was finished, while they were deciding if they would send troops to Cardulan, either in the form of HEXA-SAS dropping behind enemy lines or a full-scale attack. As they did this, the interactive table, which displayed the satellite image of Cardulan, playfully made ripple marks on where the officials placed their arms and hands and fingers, where they placed an inch of their flesh.

"We got wind that Bohemoravia is joining in." said the High Marshall of the Army, Bradley Staunton.

"Eh, but that don't mean we can have land-based units there. Pretty sure they won't let us operate from there." replied one of the generals in the Esalonian Army, General Harold Roberts.

"The solution is simple, General Roberts. We diplomatically ask the Bohemoravians." replied another general.

This the President took note of, and he wrote a diplomatic letter to the Bohemoravian government.

Sub: Request Permission to base troops in your territory

Greetings, great and glorious sir/ma'am.

We have been fighting the Doom Coalition's allies here in the seas south of Cardulan-the first being a skirmish with a Paginistan fleet. 16 ships of the Paginistan fleet have been confirmed sunk, and we rejoice at this, but it wasn't without casualties.

Furthermore, we need to place troops in tactical areas, but the naval superiority of those helping Cardulan is being contested, and this brings into danger our troops. We would like to base our troops in your territory, but we need your permission first.

Sincerely Yours,

Doom Legion's Coastline
Liderc

Closing head on with afterburner on, the four FALKEN's advanced on their enemy. What was a careless move to other pilots, was arrogant invulnerability to Liderc. Seconds passed by before missile warnings went off, and not one them flinched. Happily holding their course, as the missiles entered within 2 miles of their aircraft, they suddenly veered hard in random directions. Calmly, Talisman smirked and clicked a button on his stick. The COFFIN system HUD immediately displayed selection of mid-range missiles.

"All planes, switch weapons to ASFM - 4, 2 shots." A chorus of small beeps was the signal of compliance heard, and Talisman ignored the still blaring missile alerts. "Fire." A calm word said without emotion in this unfair battle, 12 planes fighting four that may as well be invisible. Missiles from both sides passed one another, the enemies once again veering off harmlessly as they scattered and broke from the return fire. The intense accuracy developed by the design of smaller engines for the rocket to diver thrust too made keeping lock on turning targets not only easier, but increased hit rate in such scenarios by 47%. A number that the enemy had certainly not accounted for, and a number that made each of the eight missiles fired strike with deadly accuracy. In exchange for the extra fuel to diver to smaller engines for accuracy, a smaller payload was used. While this meant that one-shots were no longer guaranteed, the way the missile exploded would guarantee at the very least the target plane was wounded - often mortally.

"Do we give chase sir?" A calm voice, wholly neutral on the outcome of his question sounded over the comms link. Before them, the planes which were not targeted quite happily broke engagement, likely from a combination of their entirely ineffective attacks responded to with one of brutal accuracy and destruction.

"We're done here, i think Yates would appreciate us letting them tell the story of the 4 black jets that could not be harmed. Remember part of what us makes so effective - is fear." Talisman lead his flight in a shallow 180 degree turn, re-orienting themselves towards the carrier.

"Liderc, all planes RTB, Divinity reinforcement squadron spotted nearby about to enter Rendevous process and fleet re-organization. Air superiority is critical. Landing not necessary unless low on fuel or ammunition."

"Anyone low on those?" The silence was answer enough, as Talisman let back on the throttle and casually returned towards the carrier. "I'll take that as no, take overwatch flight pattern and keep the ships safe." The 4 planes spread themselves out, almost 2 miles apart at slightly varying altitudes. Primarily keeping a large range of view of their surroundings as they returned, much less than the ships themselves which could only be seen on the horizon. A calm and gentle flight over the ocean and through the clouds. With short minutes passed the formation closed itself once more, and flew gently above the two fleets now assimilating. To any eye anywhere, the new flagship - the infamous Divinity class Dreadnought would stick out. Easily shadowing over the carriers, aside from Yates own vessel, which even found itself somewhat outclassed by the floating behemoth. Behind it, the two new sub designs, rumors said they carried submarines inside them. The idea of this seemed preposterous, but looking at them Talisman began to wonder just how insane such rumors were.

"All forces, you are now under the command of the Third Divine. Further reinforcements will be arriving within 1-2 weeks, primary invasion and occupation force wave one of 4 if necessary." Apparently, fighting alone wasn't something the military command appreciated. Sending not only one of the Divines, but two of its Serpents with it.

The Republic of Bohemoravia wrote:"We have warned you about doing this.

Catalan Republic has agreed to deliver the badly need military supplies to the Republic of Bohemoravia. Catalan army has started desploying 11th heavy AA Regiment with their SAMs to help bohemoriavian armed forces.

Also Catalan Airforce will desploy an expeditionary air wing to Bohemoravia.
