Though the Dominion normally takes a relatively pacifist stance on events in the international stage, this act of blatant aggression by the Hyperborian Khanate simply cannot be allowed to occur unchecked. The Hyperborian colonization plan was already being started. Ayame had ordered the Khanate Fleet to dispach Probe Droids into The Alpha and Beta Quadrants, to find worlds to take over. Their targets were backwater worlds that had not made FTL Drive yet, even those that were in a stone age would be targets for colonization.

The Probes were sent out into space, to send data to the Khanate to prepare for the taking of whole worlds.

Also, please note that any worlds within Telviran territory which are as yet uncolonized, but within our territory are not to be colonized by anyone but the United Stellar Kingdom of Telvira. Any attempt to colonize said worlds will be met with one (1) warning, followed by the use of force in the case of non-compliance.

Furthermore, any attempt to set up a colony on a world with a pre-existing Telviran colony will be met with one (1) warning, followed by the use of force in the case of non-compliance.

The Hyperborians had already started on colonization. The first world to be taken was Fandoria, a Backwater world in the Beta that was like 1950s Earth Techonlogy wise. two Galactica Class Star Destroyers came and attacked, useing Orbital Bombardment against Major cities on the planet. Fandoria fell with in two days.

2.7 Billion Fandorians died from the attack.

Soon a Colony Ship was sent with one million Hyperborians to start the colonization of Fandoria.

Although situated somewhat on the other side of the galaxy to where the action was taking place (The Ozymos, Kokari and Highever systems, forming the Federal Planetary Alliance, lay in the Gamma Quadrant of the galaxy), news travels fast and already it had fallen onto the desk of Marie Greyson, the President. In her office, the commanders of the ground and naval forces sat, and after a moment they were joined by a third man, this one in somewhat ornate robes compared to their bodysuits

"Ah, Grand-Commander Loki, glad you could make it" Marie said, taking her seat as Loki entered "I presume you've heard the news?"

"Got it on the wire, Madam President" Loki replied "I presume since i'm here, something is to be done about it?"

"Yes, do take a seat" Marie offered, but Loki remained standing

"Forgive me, Madam President, but i'd just prefer my orders" he told her

"They weren't wrong about you, Grand-Commander. 'Subtle as a sledgehammer in the groin'" she recalled "Okay, your orders, Grand-Commander, are to send some of your men to the Beta quadrant, and find out just what it is the Khanate thinks it is up to"

"Rules of engagement?" Loki asked

"Fire only if fired upon, but should you witness any action constituting a war crime, report it immediately" Marie informed him "At this stage, we're not in a position to start a war, which seems to be the Khanate's general plan, but a court case we could win easily"

"Very good, Madam President" Loki replied, before bowing and leaving.

After a moment of stillness, the coordinates were locked in and the two ships jumped to warp, heading for the Beta quadrant.

It has recently come to our attention that the so-called 'Hyperborian Khannate' has made incursions into the arbitrarily named alpha and beta quadrants. This is, of course, perfectly fine and good, except that it appears that the areas set for colonization are inhabited by prior claimants who, according to our sources, this barbaric state has seen fit to wipe out without so much as a warning.

This dishonorable and barbaric conduct will not be tolerated and, therefore, we shall issue this ultimatum.

The Hyperborian Khannate will withdraw from any presently occupied worlds, and will issue a sum equivalent to 100 billion silver roubles in aid to any civilized states, that is, per state, not per planet, which suffered blamelessly from Hyperborian aggression. Failure to comply will result in appropriate measures being taken, including sanctions, the closing of borders to Hyperborian vessels, and the seizing of any Hyperborian properties within the Empire.

Further, any Hyperborian aggression targeted towards worlds of the Russian Empire will be met with force. For this reason we have placed the fleets on high alert and have ordered the mobilization of reserve forces in the regions closest to the Hyperborian incursions.

Let it be known that the Hyperborian Khanate, in its aggressive and unprovoked attacks on unclaimed worlds with pre-existing populations, have deliberately fired upon civilian population centers in a concerted effort to eradicate any indigenous populations on planets selected for Hyperborian colonization.

The United Stellar Kingdom of Telvira is horrified by this action, and therefore must throw it's support behind the Russian ultimatum of Tsar Nicholas IX. If the Khanate fails to comply with the ultimatum within the alloted time period, the Kingdom will have no choice but to sever all diplomatic and economic links with the Khanate.

Furthermore, any aggression against the Khanate against either Telvira or Russia will be met with the full force of the Royal Navy, and will lead to a state of war between the Khanate and Telvira, a state of war which will end at a time of our choosing.

The two dreadnoughts dropped out of warp at the designated co-ordinates and began to scan for the Hyberborian ships. Upon finding them, they both turned toward them, the Knight-Commander of the Ark Royal broadwaving a message to them.

"Attention Hyperborian Vessels, this is the Templar Warbird Ark Royal. On behalf of the Federal Planetary Alliance, I demand you cease your actions in this sector of space and return to Hyperborian space"

Gendo, northern sector of the Beta-Alpha Quadrant Boarder.

The planet Gendo was only 13 light years from the Terran Boarder and yet it was a battleground. The Gendians were just starting FTL Travel when The Hyperborians came. It was easy enough getting to the planet as it had no fleet, but The Ground battle was hard and very deadly, The Hyperborian Army had been fighting The Gendian Military in months of Trench Warfare all across the planet.

The Hyperborians were taking losses in the conquest of the planet. They had good tactics.....

So did the Gendians.

The Gendians decided to try and ask for help as already, they had lost over 1,800,000 Soldiers and neary 3 Billion Civilians in the war. (Note: Gendo had a Pop of around 8 Billion.) so sone of their Top Scienists sent out a message to anyone near by.

Aboard the Ark Royal, the message from the planet was played to the bridge. It was clear that the situation was desperate. The Captain of the Warbird, Knight-Commander Gregor, was now rather annoyed by the Hyperborian's actions of late.

"Comms" he began, addressing the ship's communications officer, a young Templar "Any reply from the Hyperborians?"

"No sir, they appear to be ignoring our communications" the officer replied

"Very well, we've given them the formal warning, now I think the informal warning is in order" Gregor said, no hint of a smile on his face as he made this desicion "Tactical!"

"Yes sir?" the Ark Royal's tactical officer replied, standing at his post

"Give me a spread of anti-matter torpedoes" Gregor ordered "Fire at that point, just of the nearest ship's bow"

"Yes sir, torpedoes locked on and ready" the officer replied

"Fire"

A burst of three anti-matter torpedoes were fired from the Ark Royal's torpedo launcher and sped towards the Khanate ships over Gendo. The torpedoes belted past, missing the Hyperborian shiips completely and detonating further away from them

"That ought to get their attention" Gregor growled "Shields up"

This war will end at a time and place of our choosing, and it will be executed with the full force of the armed forces of Telvira. The Khanate has 24 hours to respond to this declaration by withdrawing all armed forces and colonies from the planets and systems it has unlawfully occupied, and pay reparations to the planetary governments whom it has attacked.

Gendo System
Task Force 17.1 slid out of the warp point in the Gendo system with all the secrecy of a rhino. The Navy wanted the Hyperborians to know they were here, and shit their pants when they saw what they were up against.

TF 17.1 was only the tip of the spear that was Second Fleet, but it was a massive spear. Thirty monitors, the biggest ships in the Navy, and thirty superdreadnoughts. The SDs were pure combat vessels, but the monitors were divided into three classes-the Armageddon-class combat monitors, designed for fleet engagement; the Concorde-class carriers, each carrying 162 F-4 fighters; and the Avram-class "escort" monitors, carrying the valuable datalink which linked the ships' defensive and offensive fire and carried huge amounts of defensive fire. In five battlegroups of six, the monitor battlegroups each boasted three Armageddons, two Avrams, and a single Concorde. The superdreadnoughts were in three battlegroups of ten.

In short, this was a force that could fire over ten thousand anti-matter and nuclear-tipped missiles in coordinated salvos. No enemy the Telvirans had ever faced had stood up to such a force and won. It was expected the Khanate wouldn't either.

Admiral Raoul Sommers, commander of TF 17.1, looked at the tactical plot showing his forces in blue and the Khanate in red.

"Launch all fighters, Syla," he spoke to his fighter commander, Amanda Syla. She spoke a series of orders, and the blue triangles of TF 17.1's fighters appeared on the plot.

"Move to engage the enemy," he ordered. The monitor Andromeda, his flagship, shuddered as the thirty monitors and thirty SDs of Task Force 17.1 moved to engage the Khanate.

it was 12 Galactica Class Star Destroyers and 3 Stingray Class Super Star Destroyers (and alot of ARC-170s and TIE Intercepters) against two ships and it appeared that it would be a very one sided battle as The Hyperborian Ships turned and started heading for the two ships, fireing Long Ranged Heavy Turbolasers against the two ships that had dared attack them.

The Ark Royal's shields held steady as they were hit by the long range turbo lasers. It seemed to Commander Gregor that the Hyperborians had made the first move, as theirs had been a deliberate warning shot, not an attack. Nevertheless, battle would have to be joined.

"Another spread of anti-matter torpedoes!" Gregor ordered "Target the lead ship"

"Sir" the tactical officer replied, sending another burst of torpedoes at the lead Hyperborian ship. The Excalibur also added a salvo of it's torpedoes to the fray, firing their proton variant torpedoes.

"Forward!" Gregor shouted at the helmsman "Get us in close!"

The massive dreadnought moved forward, rather swiftly for a ship it's size. Gregor knew he was outnumbered here, but there was no way he was going to back down now.

"Prepare a phaser spread, fire at the lead ship!" he ordered, the Ark Royal still unleasing a flurry of anti-matter torpedoes as it surged forward, the Excalibur following suit.

"Sir, i'm picking up more ships on the scope" a crewmember called out

"Damnit! More of the bastards to slaughter" Gregor replied, his voice a vicious snarl now

"No sir, I believe these ships are from another nation; preliminary scan suggests these ships are from The United Stellar Kingdom" the crewman informed him

"Telvirans?" Gregor wondered aloud "Open a channel to them!"

The crewmember obeyed the order swiftly, and Gregor quickly composed a message to them.

"Attention Telviran vessels, this is Knight-Commander Gregor of the Templar Warbird Ark Royal. We're in a spot of bother here, any chance you can lend a hand?"

George Sanchez nudged the control yoke of his F-4 fighter a bit to the right, putting him more squarely in the squadron's formation. The 12 F-4 fighters of VF 94, basing off the monitor carrier Martens, were flying a standard V formation, part of a arguably massive force of 810 fighters, armed with a mixture of FM3s for dogfighting, FRAMs for anti-shipping strikes, and primary packs, which used a modified tractor beam to fire a small but lethal beam of force through shields and gut a ship's innards.

As this formation of fighters approached the Hyperborians, the blackness of space lit up with weapons fire as the Ozymosian(?) ships engaged the Khanate's fleet.

"Skipper, you seeing this?" Sanchez queried. Other pilots were sending the same queries. They were silenced by the voice of Amanda Syla, who started giving orders.

"All fighters, this is Commander Syla. All fighters will abort planned strikes and focus on the Hyperborain ships engaging the Ozymosian(?) ships."

The squadron leaders voiced confirmation, and the fighters banked as one and headed towards the Khanate ships pounding the Ozymosians(?) with turbolaser fire.

"Program firing sequences for SBMs," Admiral Sommers ordered. Weapons techies plugged data into their consoles, programming targets and flight patterns into the Strategic Bombardment Missiles that were TF 17.1's longest-ranged missiles.

"Prepare to fire on my command," Sommers continued.

On the tactical plot, the blue triangles representing 810 fighters drew nearer to the Khanate, and the thin red circle representing the optimum SBM range slowly crawled towards the red circles representing the Khanate's fleet...
