That being said, the favored assault rifle amongst Phantom Corpsmen is the Halcyon Arms M1 Masir System Battle Rifle equipped with a Pantheon Military Industries "Chubby Charlie" Mark.XXIV Underslung Grenade Launcher.

Biography of unit: During the Karinzgradian-Torrumbarian Border Disputes of 1968, conventional Torrumbarian infantry regiments were being veritably slaughtered by Karinzgradian revolutionaries employing guerrilla tactics. The few entities that achieved some measure of success against the were the 88th, 89th and 112th Skirmisher Divisions, specialising in strategic mobility and maintaining the capability for operating in extremely uncompromising terrain. At this time, the only Special operations force the Commonwealth maintained was the Strategic Homeland Rapid Action and Emergency Response Regiment (SHRAER) because the Liberal Conservative party, who held the presidency at the time, had instigated major budget cuts for the military. SHRAER was not suited to guerrilla warfare but rather to hostage rescue, internal defence, counter-terrorism and urban combat, so it was decided by the Unified Central Command that a special operations force that could encompass all facets of warfare should be formed. Thus, CANSOCC was born and baptised in the fire of the Border Disputes. CANSOCC has participated in every single minor and major Torrumbarian conflict since its inception in 1968.

Biography of Warfighter: CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER GORDON “GORDY” PRIOR. Born in the city of Wolvercote, Torrumbarry, on the Third of July 1982. He stands at 6 feet tall and weighs in at 182lbs. Entered the Harpies’ Bay Naval Officer Academy in 1991, and graduated into the Commonwealth Navy as a Junior Warrant Officer and Munitions-and-Firearms Specialist in late 1995, as Valedictorian. Officer Prior, promptly after graduating, applied to become a CANSOCC Corpsman. Following three grueling years of boot camp and further education in advanced combat techniques, survival skills etc., his debut deployment was the Battle of the Albacete River (March 16th-March 25th 2001), a prominent engagement in the the Torrumbarian Intervention of the Balencagoan Sixth Holy Inquisition. In addition, Officer Prior was involved in the Siege of the New Pazanian Embassy in Harrisburgh, and his performance vindicated his promotion to Warrant Officer.

I build flying machines, mostly wooden custom gliders, as a hobby, and utilize that hobby in a competition known as Science Olympiad. That's why my last week has been busy. (There, I think you are mostly filled in on the relevant stuff)

Huh, I did Science Bowl for a few years, then changed to a school that did Science Olympiad instead but never took up Science Olympiad because of other commitments. I used to build wood and foam gliders and occasionally powered planes, then I moved to helicopter and quadcopter UAVs, and now I'm thinking of getting into rockets*.

*Me and a friend are planning on building a system for launching rockets from high-altitude balloons this summer. If you'd like I can send you a video when we either:

A) Succeed
B) Fail in a spectacular way
C) Get arrested by the FAA

Sounds good. Just make sure that everyone you list as targets is actually still active so we don't end up with one team waiting for an opponent that never posts. I can post with my Halian team if you need one more newbie team, but I think it would be better if there were enough without me because I'm going to be busy with this in the coming days, so I'd rather not have two teams to post for.

@Cong: Agreed, that's why there are such things as co-GMs that act as significantly more than mere tech-advisors. Usually they are even extensively briefed/trusted to RP as them in order to railroad the RP through a bottleneck.

Also, Cong, try launching multiple rockets by mounting them on the barrage-balloon's guy-lines (keep enough additional lines so the balloon maintains its station).
