"Yes, sir," replied Major General Guderian. Two divisions of motorised airborne infantry had been assembled to be sent hastily to Araluen and Eyreland, while a main task force is en route. Now only one thing remained--to inform Araluen and Eyreland that foreign troops with vehicles were going to be air dropped over their country by the thousands. This operation has been kept a great secret.

At this point, General Xi sent a telegram to the High Command of Araluen and Eyreland. It read as such:

To: The ministers with whom affairs of foreign military aid is concerned
From: The Ministry of the Grand Army of the Proletariat
Subject: Military aid to the region of Brannack for the purpose of defence and counter-offensive
Message:
Permission is being requested for Valourian motorised infantry to air drop into your nation's territory for the sake of defending against USRA nations and ensure that they do not attempt another major offensive in the future.
In the mean time, a larger body of soldiers, mechanised infantry and armoured corps, will be en route to reinforce this movement.

We await your response.

The 20 US B-2 stealth bombers arranged from defensive formation to bombing formation, 4 triangles of 5 planes, each squad in a line. The F-22 Raptor escort was flying 1,000 feet above them, so they could dive quickly if the bombers got in any trouble. Each squadron would empty half their payload on the Barbradian capitial of Bairdingrad, then loop around and drop the other half (a 10 wave attack), and head back to an airbase that had been lent to the USAE in Yuketobaniac after its surrender. The first wave opened the bomb bay doors.

"Hold steady on your course!" yelled out the bombardier. "I have a view of Bairdingrad city hall." A few anxious moments passed, and the bombardier yelled out, "BOMBS AWAY!"

Night had fallen on Bairdingrad, and its citizens were bustling about, not concerned about an attack on the capital.

One man sat across the street from city hall, reading the paper with his friend.

"Oh, perfect. Yuketobaniac has already surrendered to Brannack. That's going to make our fight twice as hard." As his friend grabbed the paper to read it, the man heard a whistling noise coming from... above him?

Just then,the ground directly in front of city hall exploded. The man and his friend were thrown back by the shockwave, and watched as 3,000 pound bombs destroyed city hall and the buildings next to it. More bombs kept falling, and he could hear explosions from different parts of the city. He looked up to see where they were coming from, and instead saw one hurtling towards him.

"That's the last of them!" called out the bombardier on the rear bomber. "All planes return to base. maybe this will slow them down."

The US planes thundered away, leaving Bairdingrad burning in the distance.

We greatly appreciate your offer, Valourium, but the United States is well defended. The Yukes attempted to take control of the skies and seas, but were repelled, and landed no men on US soil.

During this defense, many of Araluen's allies nearby in Brannack have supplied us with extra reinforcements. Between these and our formidable military, it is unlikely that an enemy assault will be directed here again. Therefore, I respectfully deny your request to land troops here.

However, many coastal nations in Brannack have little to no defenses. I ask that you send your reinforcements there, to better hep defend Brannack. I have done this, and any help will be greatly appreciated. If you wish to send any offensive force, please do so. They can join up with my awaiting forces at Pittsville, so we can plan for an invasion of Acuder together. Besides, the soldiers will have a better time than guard duty.

Very well. The two divisions shall be stationed in the most defenceless nation of Brannack. Two divisions of soldiers thought not to exist where they are should be enough to drive away any hostile attacks.

As for offensive, our main force shall join with you. Instead of immediately agreeing to meet up with your forces at Pittsville, however, we request a map of the relevant area so that we may form a strategy of our own, which may agree with grouping at Pittsville, or striking from another location to keep the enemy divided.

While it is always in the greatest interests of Valourium to advance Socialist and Communist ideology throughout the world, there is a greater duty to people than to ideology. For that purpose, that the nations fighting for Brannack have greater levels of personal and political freedom than those of the USRA nations, and that the USRA nations have chosen to attempt to violate Brannack sovereignty rather than conduct diplomacy to settle differences, it has been decided that the Grand Army of the Proletariat shall be mobilised in order to protect the people of the nations of Brannack, and prevent any further attempts to violate the freedom and sovereignty of said nations.
If you wish to avoid military confrontation, nations of the USRA, a formal surrender and subsequent negotiation of a treaty will be accepted. Valourium will avoid civilian harm if at all possible as well. But any resources, structures, business lots, or infrastructure going into the war effort for your nation will lose classification as civilian only, and will thus be cleared for military strikes by Valourian forces.

The Kiwi airforce will join the United States of Araluen and Eyreland in this attack upon The Barbradian Republic. Our F-15s and Su-24s will attack Barbradian aircraft, first using AIM-7 Sparrow air-to-air missiles (F-15s) and R-73 AA-11 air-to-air missiles (Su-24s), before unleashing a storm of gunfire from 20 mm M61A1 Vulcan 6-barreled Gatling cannon (F-15) and 23 mm GSh-6-23 cannons. Meanwhile, the East Fleet has arrived near the USEA coast, and will soon be en-route to attack the Barbradian navy. Carriers launch 15 F/A-18E Super Hornets, which join up with the Backfires, and begin a merciless attack upon the Barbradian surface fleet. The Super Hornets unleash AGM-84 Harpoon anti-ship missiles, while the Backfires also launch 3 Raduga Kh-22 anti-ship missiles. Both aircraft can then either easily escape pursuing interceptors by going supersonic, or fight back with 20mm and 23mm cannons. 5 Kiwi 'Shark'-class submarines attack their Barbradian counterparts using Mark 48 torpedoes, while a total of 80 sub-launched cruise-missiles rain down upon the hostile battleships and destroyers. Overall, a simply devastating amount of firepower has been sent toward the Barbradian fleet. President Cunliffe has called for Barbradian to surrender, and to submit 1/3rd of their GDP to Brannack as a form of reparations. At the same time, a new wave of economic sanctions has been enacted on the USRA, although those on Yuketobaniac have been revoked due to their rapid capitulation.

After the bombing of the nearest Barbradian city, most of it has been bombed out, with only 12 bombers shot down due to their unbreakable armor. Now the land invasion has begun to take over the city.

When the Berdanvian troops enter the city, it was an easy two miles into the city, until they entered the city square and came under fire by some Barbradin troops. Guerrilla warfare in the square lasted 12 hours before the Berdanvian tanks rolled in and blew the Barbradian troops to smithereens. Now the Berdanvia troops are scouting out the rest of the city, trying to find any other troops.

OOC: That's kinda godmodding... You didn't give him the chance to respond/repulse your sudden invasion, 'unbreakable armor', and you assumed that he wouldn't have any anti-tank weapons nearby. Overall, and I can't believe I'm saying it, Barbradian has every right to ignore this post. He deserves, at least, the chance to control his own troop's defences, and not capitulate his city in one post.

Bairdingrad has been bombed by the resistance of Brannack. King Louis VIII and his 3 sons have been relocated to Seakiá Palace in l'ouest Province. The king ordered the Army to now deport USAE immigrants in Barbradios back to Brannack after surviving in harsh prisons for the last 2 weeks. King Louis also ordered the Execution of 24 government members from CFP within Barbradios to show the implicity that CFP backstabbed Barbradios. The King ordered the Barbradian army to attack USAE boarders within the next 2 days, 100,000 troops will advance over the boarder hoping to capture the west strip in 2 weeks.

"General Xi, King Louis VIII of Barbradia himself has responded to the official statement from our foreign ministry!" exclaimed a lieutenant working in the communications company, often referred to as Das Funkerkompanie.
"Then we have no choice but to commence with our offensive," responded the Grand Marshall General. "Inform the commanders of Operation Unity to begin our coastal landing procedures at once."
"Immediately I shall, General."
Sending out a highly encrypted message, the lieutenant gave the commanders of the fleet and landing army the go ahead for commencement of the offensive. The force was made up of the following task carrier groups: Crimson 1, Crimson 2, and Falcon 1. Two fighter carriers and one bomber carrier.

Three cities were to be assaulted from the sea. As soon as the order was given, B-2 bombers, 5 hovering over each carrier group, made their way near the cities, equally distributed, to deliver air-borne cruise missiles to what coastal defence batteries existed near the cities. All the while, the ships moved toward the coast as well, prepared to engage enemy vessels if any were spotted.
The B-2s released their payloads and turned around to go back to home base on an island base of Valourium's about 800 km away, and the vessels kept approaching the shores of Barbradia.

As the Barbradians attack the USAE and CFP troops on the Yuketobaniac border, the US starts to heavily bomb a 75 mile stretch of beach in Northern Barbradia, part of which will have the invasion. In co-ordination with Valourian forces, the US offensive stationed in Pittsville has left, and is moving as fast as they can towards their designated landing site. Bombing of the inland areas from the beach has also begun.

President Thomas Finnegan issued a speech about the war, and the treatment of Brannackians in Acuder.

"The brutal treatment of Brannackians in the nations of Acuder is unacceptable and we as a region have no tolerance for it. The Barbradian Republic had Brannackians in prison camps for two (game) weeks, since the outbreak of the war. Thankfully, the returned the innocents they were torturing to their homelands. However, the same cannot be said for natives in the Commonwealth. They have become slaves, and are now suffering under the oppression of President Hank and slavery.

Previously, The United States, and the rest of Brannack, were not at war with the Commonwealth. They took no action against us, and we took no action against them. The most that they were involved in was shipping arms to Yuketobaniac and The Barbradian Republic. We saw no reason to start a war with them. This unprovoked treatment of Brannack's citizens taking residence in the Commonwealth has proved reason enough. In an emergency meeting last night, Congress voted to declare war on The Commonwealth of Hank the Cat."

After that message was relayed to the US fleet 50 miles off the coast of the Commonwealth, 34 F-18 Hornets were launched from the deck of the USS Cartwright. They made a quick but savage attack on a dock in a coastal city in the Commonwealth, destroying or crippling the boats and warehouses that were targeted. Few military combat ships were attacked, since little were dock at that time. The missile frigates and destroyers have also started to launch their attacks.

The navy has been alerted to the possible threat of attack from the air, and has made sure to constantly scan it.

OOC: Aren't Brannack and Acuder two separate continents? Wouldn't that make crossing into my country impossible? (I'm talking about a land-not amphibious-invasion) The forces fighting are in West Yuketobaniac, since I moved some in there after the surrender.
