To: Fuijijima Energy
From: Congreveopia Energy Command
We would indeed consider your company favorably for future contracts if you could provide aid to us in dealing with this crisis. Currently, the area around the dam is unsafe, but the military will certainly have dealt with that by the time your engineers arrive, so your help is welcome. We will continue to infirm you on the status of the dam as the situation progresses and more information becomes available.

President, we are still awaiting for your approval to send our patrol ships in. We have the ships loaded in the dropship and the F/A 33s fueled, as soon as we have your go ahead we can our ships there in 3 hrs. (30 Min OOC time)From- Congreveopia
To- Will Rawlens, President of Rawlincia

Our apologies, we are a tad swamped right now. Your forces are of course welcome. We actually have a refueling airplane in the area, so you are welcome to make use of that if your F/A-33s are equipped for in-air refueling, otherwise they can refuel at Widewell Regional Airport, 119 miles NNE of the dam. Be advised that we cannot guarantee the safety of your ships in the event of the dam failing.

"... And after we hit the ground we'll make our move aginst the convoy here, they have no indication their is anyone on their side of the dam and the rocket launcher will make short work of their vehicles." Senior tsargent Yuri explained as he review the map with his men huddled around him.
Suddenly the red light that had illuminated the cargo bay of the transport dimmed, only to be replaced with a brighter green one that lite up in its place. The time to drop was now and the men who had all undergone years of training knew exactly what to do, down to the last detailed knot and second to pull the cord.
"Move it, ... GO ... GO ... GO ..." Yuri yelled as each man lined up and leapt from the open cargo ramp at the rear of the aircraft, each one fell into the scenery below until only he was left. With a prayer on his lips and a rifle in his pack he jumped, leaving the safety of the plane for the dangers that awaited him below.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Your aircraft can land at Valland Regional Airport, 70 miles downriver from the dam. We will provide helicopter transport to get your soldiers to the dam. Please contact local ATC for the active runway.

“Crap.” said the sniper, watching the MRAPs roll out through his scope. He thumbed on his radio. “Commander?” he said “This is your show now. I’ve got plenty of ammo, carpenter has fired once, and wasp hasn’t had to shoot a single round. Orders?”
“This isn’t the plan.” said the radio “The Congreveopian government should have gone heavy next, gunships and fighters. If this is different, what else is going to change?”
“Orders, sir?” asked the sniper impatiently “They might have IR, I could be shot any minute.”
“We’re completely in the open here.” said the Commander “If we can make it to the middle of the dam, then we’ll be in cover and they won’t risk hitting us with airstrikes. You need to keep them distracted. We’ll take the pressure off you when we hit the middle. Good luck.”
“Roger that, sir.” said the sniper. “You heard him, team. Carpenter, get ready to slag that bird. Wasp, prepare to suppress the MRAPs. Fire on my signal. Three… two… one… fire.”
The PG-7VL warhead shot out of the rocket and sped towards the V-120. At the same time the machine gunner opened up on the MRAPs. The convoy on the East side turned onto the dam and raced for the middle. The sniper calmly lay where he was, ready to pick of any of the new soldiers once they were out in the open.

Congreveopia wrote:Archibald Dam, Terrorist Commander, 13:08:
The commander of the terrorists sat in the front passenger seat of the second van. He watched with pleasure as the new arrivals scattered before his attack, then with anger as they regrouped and fought back. He heard a scream from the sniper, saw an explosion where the RPG soldier was, and noticed the machine gun stop firing. Then he saw an enemy vehicle turn onto the dam and charge towards them, the people aboard firing at them. The front SUV’s tire was shot out and it swerved wildly; first to the right, and then back to the left. Then with a grinding crash it tore through the guardrail and plunged away, tumbling down the South side of the dam to the ground 600 meters below. He heard the driver of the van in front scream as the hostiles opened fire on his vehicle.
“Keep going!” the commander yelled into the radio “We need to reach cover or we’ll die out here!”
Suddenly there was an explosion as the 57mm shell slammed into the van in front of them. It punched straight through the right side of the van and exploded inside the armor. He saw flames licking out through the hole in the vehicle. It spun around to the right and hit the guardrail there, blocking the path. The driver of the commander’s van couldn’t slow down in time and he crashed into the burning van. The commander instinctively reached up to shield his face as the windshield broke and closed his eyes. He felt the van roll and slide to a stop on his side. As he opened his eyes he saw the van was on its side, resting against the left guardrail. The driver was laying dead halfway through the broken windshield. The commander noticed he hadn’t been wearing a seatbelt. The cover they needed was a mere 20 meters ahead.
The commander unfastened his seatbelt and climbed out of the van through the broken windshield. He dashed around to behind the two wrecked vans and saw that the other vehicles were stopped there, waiting for his orders. The people in the back of his van were climbing out, mostly dazed but unhurt.
“Okay!” he yelled over the roar of the water. “We are almost there! We need to rush the center of the dam together! Engineers, grab your explosives and we charge!”
The men warily began climbing out of their vehicles. They appeared hesitant, not ready to simply run at the enemy.
The commander sighed. He needed soldiers, not petty criminals. “Fine!” he said “Anyone who lives never has to work another day in his life!”
The men cheered and grabbed their rifles, ready for action. The commander sighed. None of them were going to live through this. He pulled out his pistol and got the men ready to charge. He noticed one man who still had his safety on, and another without a magazine in his gun. There was no time, though. He was lucky the boat hadn’t already fired again.
“Charge!” he yelled and the men rushed past the vans, firing as they ran for the cover at the center of the bridge. He ran after them.
Fortress, 13:10:
“Hold fire!” yelled the commander at the Rawlincian Patrol-Boat “I repeat, hold fire, you morons! No explosive weapons on the dam!”
“I won’t deny it’s effective.” thought the commander as he watched the video from the drone showing the vans crashing “But the risk is too great. These hostiles are a distraction. The dam breaking is the threat.”
The commander watched as the enemies regrouped. He warned the Rodstov and Grenodans of the charge that was coming.
“Guys...” said a technician, highlighting an area of the video feed. “What are these guys unloading from the van?”
“Duffel bags.” said someone “What’s in them?”
“Something with a density of roughly 1.6 grams per cubic centimeter.” said Nexus.
“That’s C4.” said a technician “Imperfectly packed, hence the lower density.”
“Resume fire!” yelled the Commander as the enemies charged “Use of explosive weaponry authorized! Take out the guys in back with the duffels!”

You investigators are welcome, but we cannot currently promise the security of the area around the dam. In addition to that, all helicopters in the area are currently busy. If you are arriving by airplane, we recommend landing at Wildwell Regional Airport 120 miles North of the dam and either making the eight-hour drive to the dam, or waiting for a helicopter to be available.
You are authorized to proceed with all stated activities.

Archibald dam, 13:11, Terrorist Commander:
The commander swore and fell as a bullet sliced through his left knee and another cut through his right thigh. His men were getting cut down left and right and only about three quarters of the survivors were even firing. He doubted if many were hitting the enemies about 300 meters away. Most of the engineers were still alive though, and some of his men had reached cover.
“Hive to Queen, Hive to Queen.” said he radio. “Come in, Queen.”
“Gah, s***.” he said pulling out the radio “Yeah, this is Queen.”
“I’m seeing a lot of radio chatter closing on the dam, Queen.” said the radio “Ditch the other plans and crack the nest.”
“F***.” said the Commander “Okay, Hive. Queen copies.” He managed to roll into a sitting position, and yelled to his men “Crack the nest!”
Most of his men looked around perplexed or continued to charge and fire, but the engineers knew what he meant. They ran for the Southern edge of the dam and tossed their bags on the ground as the 17 surviving soldiers did their best to provide covering fire. They then pulled off their jackets to reveal climbing harnesses and rope. They each looped their ropes over the guardrail, hooked on a descender, clipped their duffels onto their climbing harnesses, and jumped off the edge of the dam. Seven of them made it over the edge and they began abseiling down as fast as they could, sticking C4 on the dam as they went.
