Withdrawing my every other participation from here. Considering IFC is having issues with members leaving, and not everyone is prepared or enthusiastic in fighting SACTO and considering how certain gameplayer actually felt left out because the so called largest alliance are not invited and hence felt compelled to ruin other people's RP to prevent us from having fun (I won't say any name but it's TUM) by spreading lies and shits, this has to be put on hiatus.

I've been away dealing with the wife's baby shower and a few other real life events that take precedence over nationstates. Simply because I chose to reply in a topic which I was involved in, that wasn't even a week old, shouldn't be grounds for being reported.

You forget I was a member of said organization. I took part in more than a few discussions on the OOC thread, and I can honestly say what I saw wasn't very impressive. People were outright attacking one another. It isn't a far stretch to see how this correlates with the IFC pulling out of the conflict for "OOC" reasons. Especially if this matter concerns information obtained OOC on an IC event. They call this meta-gaming in some circles. Which also translates into a form of god-modding. Maturity isn't exactly a staple of NationStates culture when it comes to forum debates. Most of which turn into flame festivals. The IFC doesn't seem to be an exception to this general rule. You have only to look at the conduct of it's administration to see it. I'm not implying that all the members of the IFC are like this, as the administration obviously didn't represent the majority. Part of the reason why I left. Thought I'd give Elemental North a second chance because of a private discussion we had over TG. Seemed like he could be the right sort of chap. After the election though he just went back to the same song and dance. It can be seen in the exodus of members from the IFC.

Is that collectively the IFC's fault? I don't know. It depends on how you view "democracy" and the responsibility of it's population. All we can do now is look on, observe, and form our own opinions. Though it's quite obviously that this kind of issue has already taken on the stereotypical "Republican Vs. Democrat" or "Christian Vs. Atheist" attribute concerning those on either side of the debate. As in both sides will just continue to make the same points repeatedly without compromise or understanding. Makes me wonder why I even try sometimes. Regardless this is my reasoning of the situation, this is my opinion. You can take it or leave it.

I know you were in the IFC. That also happened to be when it was at its lowest point. Having seen pretty much the entire org (having lead it once, and still technically its longest serving minister) and knowing the leadership of every other major alliance out there, I still utterly disagree with your view.

Perhaps you didn't see what happened between SACTO and the UL.... which had been bubbling since june, with the IFC as collateral (I don't balme SACTO or most of the UL for this at all).

You also missed the part where most of said members came back and the system reformed. Hasn't really been a squabble since.

A snapshot is not a way to judge any organisation so definitely - who judges the entire US by Buchanan? Or England by Henry VI?
