The Head of Techis was enjoying the precious few minutes of free time he had in between the speeches, public addresses, Council meetings, cabinet meetings, and everything else that came along with the position. And people think it's fun to be Head of the government he thought to himself as he rested in a chair in one of the unoccupied waiting rooms.
His advisor and mate walked into the room and sat in a chair next to him. The national news channel was playing on a television, covering recent events in the nation of Maitean.
"You know, that was what I thought was going to happen to us when we rebelled" he said chuckling. The Head grinned, replying
"I thought the same at the beginning. But we weren't trying to change the government of a nation, just try to get out of the grasp of another one that isn't even on the same continent. We also had the will of the people behind us."
"And we're not communists!" the advisor added with a smile.
The Head looked at the television again.
"This was two thousand men, it'd be a hard fight against the single nation, much less others assisting it too. How the heck of they causing this much trouble?"
"The rebels are practically gone, it was never a big fight to begin with. Their leader has escaped and is hiding within the borders of another country" the advisor explained.
The Head froze, memories still far too recent coming to mind. It was a few minutes before he could speak,
"Does this remind you of Blade?"
All humour left the advisors face as he recalled similar memories, and nodded. The Head got up to see the passing of a new law through the Council, but this would stay in front of his mind.
