Imperial Prussian Trade Summit

The Imperial Prussian Trade Summit is the first meeting of the executive councils that govern the constituent nations in Imperial Prussia.

Location: Tizijč, Holy Empire of Moltavia. Grand Art Hall

Agenda

#1:

To discuss and implement controls, plans and procedures to ensure the financial security of Imperial Prussia.

#2:

To discuss any issues internal or external pertaining to the security of Imperial Prussia or any of its constituent states.

#3:

To foster cordial relations between member states and to reaffirm the security and legitimacy of Imperial Prussia.

#4:

To provide a forum to discuss the trade and sale of goods and services produced internally to stimulate economic growth of constituent states.

Conduct

The Trade summit is a cordial event and proceedings will be kept as such, all nations are responsible for the actions of their diplomats and heads of states. All housing, food an itineraries are provided and paid for by Moltavia. However at the end of the summit all in attendance are free to visit and tour the nation at their own expense.

The economics minister Rainier Paulsen was fixing up his suit, weeks of organisation were coming to fruition. In a few hours the heads of state would be arrive to the sleepy seaside resort town of Tizijč on the east cost of Moltavia. This was the first summit of any type for Imperial Prussian and its success would be a matter of national pride for Moltavia and Paulsen knew this.

The summit was many years in coming, although the nations of Imperial Prussia shared friendly relations with each other for many years there had been no attempt to strengthen these ties. The summit was about to change that. The whole world would be watching, the close proximity of so many powerful heads of states would mean big issues would be discussed. The Holy Empire of Moltavia knew that the bonds strenghtened through this summit would last for ever, and subsequently elevate Imperial Prussia to the world superpower it was destined to be

"Are the hotel suites ready?" Asks Paulsen, his aides scramble about looking through papers "Yes sir" comes the chorus of replies. "What about the gifts?" He exclaims, "They are sitting on the beds in the hotel sir" replies the tallest aid. What a beautiful touch Paulsen thought smugly, the gifts were Vapida watches, made from 18 carat gold with diamond faces and exquisite hand craftsmanship a gift that represents the friendly atmosphere of Imperial Prussia.

The various diplomats and heads of state would arrive in the capital city, and then the private XL-441's of the Moltavian state department would take them on the short 1 hour journey to Tizijč

The resort town of Tizijč was chosen for its stunning landscape, beautiful architecture, mild weather and resort atmosphere. The Moltavian police force was out on the streets, however being extremely stable, peaceful nation the police presence wasn't over bearing. Tizijč at night:

The hotel for the diplomats was the Cap Royale a luxurious, traditional 5 star hotel one of the best in the world. Chosen for its traditional design it was the perfect embodiment of The Holy Empire of Moltavia

The associated media of the various nations of the Imperial Prussia gathered at the Tizijč airport and hotel to greet the arriving heads of state, the king of Moltavia, Scrijmesczki III was even attending, this was going to be a big summit.

"We've prepared for this people" Paulsen shouts, "It's go time!" As he enters the limousine as it pulls away heading to the airport.

King Isaiah was walking around. He has recently spread the word around the region that his country needed weapons to keep "Up to date" with other nations. He marched around, continuing to send messages. He disliked the fact tat due to his low technology level, he was un able to compete with other Nations.

The warm champagne sunshine bathed the luxury helicopter, its polished metal surface glinting effervescently, blinding all onlookers. The helicopter swooped over the ocean heading towards the grand art hall. "It's better late than never" mused Philip Pateque, the chief foreign minister of Marquesse. Pateque looked out the tinted windows of the helicopter as the scenic resort town rushed by beneath him.

Pateque had been sent to strengthen the ties of the Imperial Prussian nations, reinforcing the fraternal bond that linked the prosperous nations together. "I better be paid overtime for this, long flight and no chance to freshen up, I'm going to look like I'm worth two marqs" said Pateque, speaking to no one in particular as the pilot of the helicopter simply nodded in agreement.

The helicopter gracefully flared as it touched down on the Helipad of the arts hall. Pateque looked up in pure awe at the architecturally stunning building, "they sure do make them pretty" he thought out loud. He saw the delegates of other nations congregating at the entrance, "well lets get it over with" Pateque quipped with a wry smile as he walked towards the diplomats.

[New Konigsberg]

The Borussian Delegation had arrived late to the Imperial Prussian Trade Summit. The delegation consisted of the High Chancellor Simon Hoffmann, Deputy Chancellor Albert Steindamm, various advisors, and a small security contingent comprised of four Borussian body guards. The trade summit had been the topic of discussion in New Konigsberg for many days, the discussion regarding whether or not New Konigsberg would attend was very heated. Some wished to keep the Federation in a state of Isolation, but High Chancellor Simon Hoffmann and his Imperialist Party backing had pushed successfully for regional integration. Using a few backdoor deals and political tactics of questionable repute to accomplish such an objective.

Now the High Chancellor moved toward the group of diplomats that had been steadily gathering at the airport. He hoped that the Moltavians would be there to greet the delegations personally soon, and he was rather impatient concerning the beginning of the summit. Trade with New Konigsberg's southern neighbor would be very beneficial to the Federation. A cause he wished to push forth once the meeting got underway. For the time being he waited patiently with his Deputy Chancellor and the rest of the Borussian delegation.

Paulsen strode out of the foyer and into the huddle of gathered diplomats, outstretching his arms in a sign of friendship. "Welcome to Tizijč, I hope everyone had an agreeable flight? If anyone needs anything just let me know. Before we begin let me introduce myself "I'm Rainier Paulsen the Economics minister for the Holy Empire of Moltavia." Paulsen extended his hand towards Pateque of Marquesse, "Ahh it's been a long time my good friend, great to see you" the two embraced each other with heartfelt solemnity. He then turned to the Borussian delegation, "pleasure to meet you gentlemen, I look forward to getting to know you better over the course of the week" shaking High Chancellor Simon Hoffmans and the Deputy Chancellor Albert Steindam hands vigourously. Paulsen then turned to The Celisian delegation "my fraternal friends of Imperial Prussia its so good to see you" embracing the delegations leader. Shaking hands with the Gjulichian delegation and the Military lands of Scotland as he finally meet all the assembled diplomats.

"Alright let's get this started, we have a lot to discuss" quipped Paulsen as he led the way into the arts hall.

The velvet red of the upholstered seats gave the room an atmosphere of immense wealth and luxury. The leather seats groaned with comfort at the burden of the diplomats. Bottles of sparkling water lined the large U shaped desk as the delegates took their seats. In the corner the security teams chatted idly with each other, while some remained isolated and professional.

"Item one on the agenda, the military security of Imperial Prussia. In light of recent events and changing international circumstances, the inherent security of Imperial Prussia has been called into question. We cannot rely on alliances to ensure our security, we must take it into our own hands. To this effect Moltavia has fostered and nurtured its own local armaments manufacturers, shipyards and aerospace industries. We know wish to export our armaments, vehicles and naval vessels to our Imperial Prussian brethren. This is to ensure the sovereignty of Imperial Prussia in future generations. All purchases will be made through the state owned arms manufacturing enterprise 'Military arms of Ostrava' and DPRs are negotiable. All purchases come with appropriate training for both the operation and maintenance of the products." Proclaims Paulsen, folding his arms as he leans forward once more "the floor is open to any suggestions or inquiries"

The Economics Minister from Drynwnn kept quiet, observing the interactions between the different countries of this new land. With contact having been established just a few days ago, there was not much information about the different countries apart from their names and rulers. As such, this was as much of a trade summit for them as it was an information gathering operation to help the just-arrived country in Imperial Prussia collect information regarding its new neighbors.

Paulsen glanced over his left shoulder as he was addressing the assembled leaders, he spotted the representative from Drynwnn. Seizing the opportunity to strengthen ties with this up and coming nation Paulsen addressed the Drynwnnian party directly. "Ahhh our new brethren Drynwnn, Imperial Prussia welcomes you. This summit can be a perfect chance to cement our nations relationship with goodwill. Tell me, is the armed forces of Drynwnn thinking of expansion?"

"Ah, good afternoon." the Minister greets, "It is good to be among the presence of other nations again, and I must admit that this is a most impressive greeting ceremony you have here. As for your question... hmm," he checks his notes, before nodding with a smile, "while we do not think of expanding at the time, we are looking for new equipment for technology assessment and aggressor units for training."

Closing his notebook and returning it to his pocket, he explains. "Drynwnn's Self-Defense Forces usually design their own units and have a protocol with several industries in our territory. Of course, we still have to look abroad to check the market and train with different kinds of units to understand what they're able to do and how are our units when compared to them. Not to speak poorly of our R&D teams, of course," he laughed, "they are the reason we ended up in Imperial Prussia after all, even if it was something out of any predictions, but that was all on the diplomatic package we sent to all Prussian nations."

"Ahhh very well, self sufficiency is key these days. Although we can verily assist you with your training requirements" quipped Paulsen. Paulsen looked around at the assembled delegates, quickly standing up from his chair and striding to the front. The cavernous room echoed with his footsteps as he puffed his chest up. "Ahem. Now we have exchanged the pleasantries we must get down to business. Item one on the agenda!" pausing slightly as he looked over his notes, he examined the page, absorbing the information. "Ahhh yes, item one the financial security of our region" looking around at the delegates as he spoke these words. "The floor is open to all who wish to propose, discuss or debate any measures" after finishing his speech he walked back around and sat in his chair.
