The 10th Icrerian Division marched through the dimly lit streets of Morden led by their Commander, Adrian. The city had only just finished reconstruction after the Fascist Military Coup 5 months earlier in which 2000 Icrerian soldiers had died fighting the forces of fascism. Since then, the Icrerian government had been fighting a desperate battle to round up the remaining pockets of fascism both in the military and the government. This desperate struggle seemed to have no end in sight and slowly the Left- Wing end of the political spectrum was starting to gain power. The desperate government had now finally started to show their true colours, mercilessly hunting down and secretly executing political rivals and people who strongly opposed them. The secret police had become much more active and steadily, the government started to become a dictatorship. More and more of the people of Icreria and most alarmingly more and more of the military were starting to support the possibility of a communist revolution.

The government was in a bad state as the country seemed ready to break down into a massive rebellion, political tensions were high and various divisions seemed ready to break and help start a revolution in favour of a communist state. The 10th Icrerian divison was made up of only the best Icrerian soldiers making it a very important political piece. In the event of a revolution both sides would want the 10th for themselves and so the 10th Division and in particular, Adrian were on their way to meet up with the government in an attempt to secure the loyalty of the 10th Division.

8:15 PM Wednesday September 17th
Finally, it had come. Revolution, as people and soldiers began preparing to march on the government and install a communist state. After a break-down in communications between the 10th and the Government, the revolution finally had support of the 10th behind it along with the 5th, 4th, 9th and 6th divisions. However the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th and 8th remained loyal to the government.

The struggle for Icreria had begun.

Major General Ivan Vetrov walked across the road towards Proletariat Square, surrounding which was the Kremlin. He wore his Service Uniform, and wondered why he had been dragged from his bed at this ungodly hour. He had been forced to walk two blocks to get to the building due to the area around the Kremlin being closed off due to a recent terrorist attack, and the Guards were not allowing vehicle past, forcing him to park further away, and walk in. "Halt and be identified" came a call. One of the guards. "Major General Vetrov 3rd VDV, I was told to report here ASAP" Replied Vetrov. "Da Sir, we were informed, come through" the guard shouted back. They moved the small fence that had been erected in front of the building and allowed him to pass. On the left there was plywood over some of the windows and scorch marks on the walls, results of the terrorist attack. On the steps leading into the building stood a man in uniform. It was Dimitri Pavlov, Commander of the Armed Forces. "Comrade, come in" Pavlov said in a warm tone "We need to talk". They rapidly moved into a small conference room. "Icreria is having a revolution, this time our kind of revolution. We need men on the ground, since you were our Commander on the ground last time, we want you to go in again". Vetrov looked at him, a smile extending across his face "It would be a pleasure Comrade Pavlov" stated Vetrov. "Good, your Division leaves at dawn" replied Pavlov.

An Open Letter to Parties Concerned
with the Revolution Ongoing in Icreria

On behalf of my government, I wish to convey our Probationary Diplomatic Recognition of the Icrerian Revolutionary Army (IRA) as the Legitimate Representative Body of the people of Icreria.

The Republic of Ecanus is built on the principals of democracy, respect and tolerance for all creeds of political life. We condemn in every manner the extremist fascist ideologies that plague many nations in this world. To this end, we welcome this uprising by the Icrerian people against a fascist state that has begun to abuse its own citizens in blatant violation of the rule of law and basic human rights.

I would however like to stress that our probationary recognition of the IRA will be dependent on their actions in the aftermath of this uprising; should they embark on a path of peace and democracy then the recognition will be continued. Should they attempt to set up their own brand of dictatorship in violation of the will of the people and without sufficient oversight of their actions, than I reserve the right to withdraw such recognition.

Vladimir Abakumov, head of communist revolution, read the messages in front of him. Their contents pleased him, Bratislavskaya, Cedoria, Ecanus and Lexington and Concord were all offering help to Vladimir's revolution. He quickly turned to the messengers who had delivered these messages and said: "Return to your various states with this message: We thank you for your offer of assistance in our effort and will accept the offer." After the messengers ran off to deliver their messages, Vladimir turned back to the table and took a look at the map of Morden, the underground metropolis proved a hard city to take. For one, it was a big city and the Icrerian Governmental Forces were putting up a massive fight against the revolution. The 10th, 9th and 6th Divisions had been assigned to the most direct route to the centre of the grand city, however they had met stiff resistance and had been unable to make a large headway towards the centre, meanwhile the 4th division had taken a less direct route through the Western side of the city and had made a lot more headway but they too were meeting with stiff resistance from the government. The Government had a massive advantage here and if the revolution was unable to push through the numerically superior government forces, then the revolution would be crushed. This was their one chance. It had to succeed.

1:00 AM Thursday September 18th 2014
The push had drawn to a standstill as both sides refused to fall back. Bullets thudded into the sides of buildings as soldiers exchanged fire down the street, men cried out as they fell having been struck by bullets. The 10th division for all it's veteran and experienced soldiers was unable to break through the superior numbers of enemies, even as they efficiently gunned down government soldiers. Throughout the city the front line stretched from the Eastern End of the city to the Western end, as men struggled in every street along that line. Adrian and 500 soldiers of the 10th Division had already left the main street of the city to try and help out elsewhere across the line.

Adrian and his 500 soldiers sprinted through the streets of the city, guns ready. They soon cut into a small street to their left and quickly advanced through it until they found a couple of hundred governmental soldiers. Letting off a barrage of gunfire, they gunned down the front line of the enemy group before taking cover within doorways of the buildings along the sides of the street. Opposing them, the governmental soldiers also settled into covered positions ready to fight to the last man in order to stop the Adrian's strikeforce.

The EEU, a task force of which has never been reported on, is already in route to Icreria... Created for the purpose of aiding communist revolutionaries, freedom fighters and rebels, the EEU doesn't follow any rules of warfare. Known often as 'E-Unit', they are experts in recon, sniping/counter sniping, explosives and guerrilla warfare. Their destination awaits, 2 hours away.

PRA soldiers and vehicles are now disembarking from the transport aircraft which brought them here, and are being rapidly formed up for assault. Directly ahead of them. The city was burning, mass protests and riots were taking place, current intelligence suggested that the IRA had the government forces bottled up in the city's major government centres, but had so far been unable to take it, therefore, PRA tanks and artillery bombardments will help them carry the day. As the PRA slowly moves into the city, they freely distribute food and medical supplies to citizens in need, they also hand out leaflets and pamphlets, educating the proletariat about the true nature of Marxist ideology, and beginning the process of winning their support for the revolution as they slowly move through the streets to meet their Icrerian comrades.

The skies were filled with parachutes. Transport aircraft, mainly An-124s and An-12s, flew in the skies, with men, cargo, and vehicles dropping out of the back. They were the 3rd Bratislavskayan VDV Division. They had two objectives. The first was to seize a nearby Icrerian Government Airfield, as so reinforcements and supplies could be delivered. The Second objective was to advance into nearby cities, and help local Communist Rebels take control.

A massive explosion lights up the entire defensive area, exploding nearby vehicles and smashing the 7th's position across the entire road. Now time to hold off any reinforcements long enough for the revolutionaries to get there.

Thursday September 18th 7:00PM
Adrian and his group of 500 soldiers of the 10th Division had been fighting in this narrow street for hours now against the group of enemy soldiers that were determined to hold them back. A few of Adrians men had started trying to push through some of the buildings on the sides of the street in an attempt to hit the men blocking Adrian in the flank but they were still fighting. Adrian pulled the trigger of his assault rifle and let loose a round of gunfire into an enemy soldier's chest bringing the man down straight off. His men were the best Icrerian soldiers but the enemy held the numbers and they still had some good soldiers which was simply bogging down the 10th Division throughout the battle.

Spotting anther enemy, Adrian once quickly and efficiently gunned the man down before dropping back below cover. By now the exchange of grenades had taken a large toll on the buildings on each side of the street providing new areas of cover and removing others. Something needed to change if they were to ever break through.

Meanwhile in one of the buildings, 5 10th Division soldiers were quickly working their way through the building towards the exit only stopping to gun down any enemy soldiers they found. Turning a corner, they found and quickly killed two enemy soldiers and charged down the hallway towards the door at the end. Approaching it, they pointed their guns at the door while one kicked it down before quickly raising his gun and scanning the scene before him. They were back out into the street but this time behind enemy lines. From here they were in the perfect position to hit the enemy flanks, one gave some swift silent orders and the others fanned out across the street picking covered positions and choosing enemy targets. Then they opened fire and almost simultaneously a few enemy soldiers fell to the ground beneath the hail of bullets. In a panic some of the remaining enemy soldiers ran to positions from where they could have cover from the flanking Icrerian force. More gunfire and some more enemy soldiers fell, blood spattering out of their chests as bullets penetrated into their flimsy bodies.

The 10th Division soldiers on the other side began pushing even harder, managing to bring down multiple enemy soldiers in quick succession, by now the enemy group was starting to become thin as their soldiers fell to bullets from both ends of the street. Soon the majority were dead and the few remaining surrendered. It was a small victory but it could be the start of achieving victory, the POW's had their weapons stripped from them and some soldiers began taking them away, while Adrian brought the rest of his men together, they needed to keep going. They had work to do.

Adrian and his men rounded a corner and charged down another side street until when they finally reached the end, they stopped. Peering round the corner, Adrian could see the main part of the battle, the battle for the main street of Icreria. Adrian sent 20 men to each side of the street to clear out the buildings there and take positions from which they could open fire on the sides of the enemy. Meanwhile Adrian and the rest of his men got to work fanning out across the street, finding cover and picking targets. But then it went all wrong, an enemy soldier, turning around at the wrong moment went to alert his friends. One of Adrian's soldiers quickly pulled his gun up towards the man's head but it was too late, almost simultaneously various enemy soldiers turned and opened fire, a couple of Adrian's men who hadn't been able to get into cover fell like rag dolls as the bullets smacked into their bodies and blood spurted out from the fresh wounds.

Adrian efficiently poked his gun over the top of the car he found himself behind and pulled the trigger, the bullet caught an enemy soldier in the neck, causing the man to fall back as he futilely attempted to stem the blood flow. Meanwhile the other soldiers in Adrian's group were also swiftly picking targets and unleashing hails of bullets into them. One enemy soldier had half his head blown off by 3 different bullets hitting his head almost simultaneously. But the enemy continued fighting and slowly but surely, Adrian's men were whittled down by heavy gunfire. Blood spattered everywhere as one man had a bullet go right through his neck. Another man fell with various bullet wounds to the chest and a third man fell as his head disintegrated beneath a storm of bullets leaving only his decapitated body with an almost artistic spatter of blood and brain.

There had been no help from the buildings on the side and Adrian could only assume that his men had been stopped by the enemy, things were looking bleak. Adrian stuck is gun above the bonnet of the car once again and shot someone square in the chest, turning quickly, he found another and shot the man in the base of the skull before fall back down. But it wasn't enough, they needed help.

Morden 0700 hours
PRA tanks and troopers reach the city centre of Morden, and mount an aggressive strike against their enemy, the 10th regiment of the IRA had been pinned down by government reactionary forces, so PRA soldiers began spraying fire over the enemy, aiming to drive them back into the square. PRA vehicles and troops kill many government forces, slowly and surely, the PRA moves to surround the city central and form a cordon, locking the remaining government forces inside, tightening an unbreakable 'noose' around them, prior to their eventual annihilation. As government forces are gunned down in retreat, PRA Commander Feris Noskva speaks to IRA commander Adrian
"Comrade commander, apologies for being fashionably late, but you looked like you could use a hand, let us know where you need us, as we are here to assist your glorious revolution!"

Five me rushed down into the underground city, all bar one brandishing AKs, the last a PKP. They swept their weapons left and right. No enemy troops. One of the men pressed a button on his headset, held it down and began speaking "Immediate area is clear, come on in". At that a group of BMD-3's rumbled down the entrance way, the first pulling to the side so the five men could climb back in. The moved down the street towards the sound of gunfire, fanning out to the sides and down different streets. The main group heading directly down the main street.

Icrerian Government Military Airbase, September 19th 10:00PM Local Time
Artillery shells rained down on the buildings. Icreian soldiers sprinted for cover at the speed of sound. Shells burst, sending white hot pieces of shrapnel flying in all directions, scattering anyone unlucky enough to be caught in the blast over a wide area. As this was happening Bratislavskayan troops were moving to surround the base. The artillery fire was to continue sporadically throughout the night. Tomorrow the Bratislavskayans would move in, likely with little resistance.

The Icrerian revolution looked set to end here and now as not only Adrian's but the main force in the street were withered away by the enemy in an ever increasingly brutal battle. At this rate it wouldn't be long before the enemy broke through and if that happened the revolution would fail completely. The battle had become a confusing bloodbath as men fell left and right and bullets criss crossed through the air. The soldiers were tired and their numbers continued to drop, Adrian was exhausted but nevertheless continued fighting because if he routed so too would the rest of his men. This seemed to be it, it would end here. Things seemed desperate.

Suddenly a huge wave of bullets smashed into the enemy forces killing multiple of their soldiers as a large group of fresh soldiers supported by tanks and other military vehicles smashed in. The arrival of the PRA was finally enough as the governmental soldiers broke and routed, feeling towards the centre of the city. Many of them were gunned down by the PRA in their confused and disorientated retreat, the tanks continued down the street pushing through the city as the cordon was set up in a perimeter around the governmental buildings to cut them off from supplies and reinforcements.

PRA Commander Feris Novska approached Adrian and said: "Comrade commander, apologies for being fashionably late, but you looked like you could use a hand, let us know where you need us, as we are here to assist your glorious revolution!". Adrian simply stared at him for a moment still shocked by what had happened as his men finally took a little time to recover. Then, snapping too he replied in his usual deep voice: "No problem, I'm Adrian Sefik commander of the 10th Icrerian Division and I must thank you for your timely arrival as you can see we needed help desperately, the Icrerian divisions are badly worn down and I must ask that you excuse the 4th, 5th, 6th and 9th divisions temporarily while they recover. I apologise, they are very low on numbers. However I and the 10th Division will continue on with you, we're the best Icreria has to offer in the way of soldiers so we have an obligation to continue fighting."

Adrian then told a soldier to round up the rest of the 10th Division and bring them.

Adrian then told a soldier to round up the rest of the 10th Division and bring them.

"Very well comrade, most of our men will join you in forming a cordon to block off the government forces, however, we will also send a force of infantry and artillery to assist the Bratislavskayans at the airport, I would ask for your attendance at a council of war in 15 minutes" Commander Noskva replied to Adrian.

PRA forces slowly moved through the city, mopping up any remnants of the government forces they found, PRA artillery trained it's guns and began firing at the airport, assisting their Bratislav comrades in loosening up the defenders before seizing control of the main route into the city. Whilst the tanks and many of the troops are busy surrounding the government forces in the central plaza and adjacent buildings, many PRA soldiers move through the streets, with instructions to provide humanitarian and medical assistance to civilians caught up in the fighting. Many of them give out pamphlets and papers, educating them about the nature of Communism, and correcting the misconceptions left by government propaganda. At long last, it appeared that the revolution had almost taken root in Icreria, One final push, that was all it would take.

0900 hours, Council of War for the revolutionary forces
Commander Moskva met with the IRA Commander Vladimir Akakumov and 10th Regiment Commander Adrian at the strongpoint of the revolutionaries cordon, he said
"Well comrades, we have them now, they are surrounded in a cordon and trapped by our forces, however, it is still fiercely defended, and we risk heavy casualties with a direct attack, I would ask for your opinion, as you know this city best, however, my original planning is that we should first assist the Bratislavskyans to take over the airport, once that is secured than an offer of surrender will be sent to government forces. If they choose not to accept it, then slowly whittling them down with artillery strikes and also air strikes which can be flown over from the airport could be used, prior to a final ground assault with vehicles backed by infantry to minimise our casualties. Of course, we would hope they see reason and accept the inevitable surrender, but they may not do so, however, we are open to alternative suggestions, if either of you or your staff officers have a better plan?"

The Icrerian Government stood there, in the heart of the burning city as they received news of the potential support from Arvenia. Good, the leader announced, try to get a message back. Tell them "Thank you for your help, we intend to strike these rebels on one side, so you could come round the back and together, we will destroy them". Afterwards the messenger scurried off.

Meanwhile Adrian had finished talking to the 10th Division and left them to prepare to assault the governmental buildings while he proceeded to head to a council of war that Commander Novska had requested he attend. As he wandered around, he surveyed the wreckage. Buildings had been torn apart by the brutal fighting, bullet lay scattered around the place and bodies were piled up everywhere. The An-124 bumped down onto the runway. On board were fresh supplies for the Bratislavskayan Troops. The airbase put up no resistance due to the artillery bombardment. The captured Icrerian soldiers were being held in an empty aircraft hanger, being guarded by multiple guards around the clock. At current the Bratislavskayan troops had completed all objectives that they were given. Bratislavskayan troops needed to get a new objective, and a new plan. Major General Vetrov stood in a tent, with a table and a map in front of him. A Captain rushed in. "Comrade Major General, there is a "Council of War" going on in Morden, I believe you will wish to attend." he sputtered speedily. "Da, I do" at that he rushed out of the tent towards a UAZ jeep parked outside. The captain got in the drivers seat and they rushed towards Morden at full speed.
