Al walked back to his room and slid his lap coat on. The only personal touch he had was his sunglasses which were already on which hid a cybernetic eye officially used for any surgeries and the like but unofficially it was a cover tool and a upgrade to his rifle which he left behind to a person for protection.

Kat braced herself for launch in the engineering room. She had been interrupted by the announcment while she had been working on the bulkhead between the ventelation unit and the chemical tank, and wondered if it would hold during launch. If not, the bridge and main room would be flooded with toxic gas, which would make for a very bad start to the mission.
Tch... Deku knew I was performing work on an important piece of the ship and he still sticks to the schedule... damn AI better not get us killed...
"NAO, hard lock into your charging station, I don't want you getting rattled around during launch."

At the end of the countdown, Siræl activated the ship's engines and launched.

'No turning back now. I still have yet to read those biographies or look at the blueprint of this ship...'

The SRB's separate soon enough and we are 5 hours from orbit.
"Captain, i am going to check the cameras now, watch this flight carefully." Deku says
Deku proceeds to check them for security reasons, finding very little to be scared of.

From her seat in engineering, still strapped in, Kat once again connects the cable from NAO to one of the plugs in her neck.
"Hey, NAO, what do think of Deku so far?"
Deku is weak, all he wants to do is serve humans.
"If it's his choice, then let him live like that."
So be it... tell me Kat, honestly, why did you sign on for this journey?
"Didn't I tell you before? I'm getting away from all the weakness and stupidity and all the arrogant bastards who thought they were better than me."

As she spoke, Siræl pointed to the nearest planet on the map. Other than the one they'd just left, that is.

'This is it. I'm in command of a ship once again. I haven't been in this situation since the War...'

With that thought, she once again relived her days in the war. This time, however, it was before she joined the military.

She remembered the ones she'd had to kill on that day. The invaders who had just killed her family, her friends, her town. She had had to shoot them with the family Posan-88. The same Posan she had with her now...

Jonathan, in the absence of any real orders, decided to lock himself in the security room and keep an eye on things.

He sat with his feet up on a desk flipping through one of the old spellbooks he brought along to pass the time. He was already beginning to miss his home territory. Maybe there was a reason few Tyrinthians ever left the Empire's territory.

Shaking his head and returning to the present tasks at hand, he wondered if he could get the camera feeds transferred to his OIP for mobile use so he didn't have to be trapped in this particular room.

"Hey, Deku," he asked, "is there any way I can get these camera feeds relayed to my personal information feed? Since we apparently lack a dedicated security officer, I think it would be helpful if I could keep an eye on things while attending to my other duties."
