United Motherland-Bratislav State Visit

Postby Bratislav » Wed Aug 06, 2014 10:05 pm

BRATISLAV-UNITED MOTHERLAND STATE VISIT

The head of state of the United Motherland will be making a ground breaking visit to Bratislav to discuss bilateral ties. Analysts see the visit as more a chance to discuss issues and relations between the two big alliances, the IFC, and the UL. Experts rule out that the visit will yield a breakthrough in relations between the two states, but do give hope that the visit will clarify relations between the two countries. The United Motherland is said to have close ties with historic foe, Cydonia, and it's to be seen if the UM will be treated likewise by Bratislav.

The head of state of UM will meet President Albanov of Bratislav, Members of Parliament, the Foreign Minister, and also IFC officials. Most of the meetings will take place in the capital, Musrum. Rasman Boxeshi International Airport was officially prepared for the arrival of the Head of State. Rasman Boxeshi of course if the founder of the Republic one of the most veneered figures in Bratislavian history.

Musrum, Bratislav
Musrum is the heart and capital of Bratislav. It has historically been the economic and political center of the Bratislavian Nation and it is said that the Bratislavian people originated in the plains around Musrum. The first Kingdom of Bratislav was centered in Musrum and expanded from there. Now it is a large, modern, and international city, with a booming economy. The city is known to have a mix of Soviet Architecture given its Socialist past and also both modern buildings, especially in the business district. The old district of Bratislav is known to have narrow, cobble like streets, reminiscent of Vienna, with beautiful churches and cafes. It is the area most visited by tourists. With the IFC Headquarted in Musrum, it has received a lot of international attention, and Musrum is becoming more international and global city as a result.

Rasman Boxeshi International Airport

The main airport and gateway into Bratislav. Rasman Boxeshi Airport is located just a few miles outside the capital. It is named after the Founder of the Republic, Rasman Boxeshi. Many flights go in and out of RBIA and before RBIA used to serve as a military airbase.

A Moschovite meme right after Squge's strengthening of the Romani Provience Border.
(OOC: Can't find anyone that looks like Squge besides this, which is not even remotely close)

Convist Union State Private Airports | 3 AM

Squge wiped his left eye while sitting down in the slightly moving Convist State Airport. Occasionally, the random ambassador seems to walk by, not making any eye contact as they are required to make it to the safe government planes in time. The few bags he had packed would hopefully get his one week trip to Bratislav completely finished. The little he even brought would hardly last a normal man a few days, yet Squge has always used his method to conserve whatever he possibly has. Although, he checks his pocket for anything he had forgotten, just in case, and presses into his small phone he has, luckily, he had turned it off so it had not died of battery. The announcer lady for the airport points towards the flashing green light as she announces Squge's name in a strange Bojikamian accent. He picks up his bags and walks over to the desk, passing an ID card over, getting it scanned for proper identification, and getting onto the plane.

The plane was notably well furnished, while being a very, very ovular room, the area had some nice quirks in which made it all the much better for this long trip. Such as some soft seating, such as a couch, while a small and removable tablet is built into it for Squge to work on. Furthermore, the couch is yet centered within a nice room in which was fully lit, and had a small drink table for as the plane comes out of the station. There was a nice young lady in which came back and forth from within the cockpit and to the back, she seemed quite interested by Squge's presence, strangely. Finally, there was even a nice phone in which Squge could call his comrades back home if he ever so felt. Sure, it was a nice phone, after all, going to UL stations while spanning many seas is a great device, yet in turn its quality was not the absolute highest.

He turns on the little computer to look into some more research about David Albanov before meeting him, and did some research about Musrum. It was quite intresting to find that the IFC has been very dis coordinated lately, as two of the ambassadors recently have an affair, affecting their decisions within the council and making the IFC have two automatic votes to one of the nations. Ah, yet this was the very reason the WER president is not allowed to sit near any women. Affairs in the workplace are yet a terrible thing for trying to keep a democratic, equal, and fair system. Perhaps his visit will promote some more proper ideas within the IFC's workforce...

Then, the nice lady in which was crossing between the two sections of the plane had came to sit over near Squge. Her face was one of the youngest Squge that had ever seen, yet he was more focused on his work. To get his attention, she tapped him on the shoulder, while the ideas that were... somewhat spewing out of his mind was interrupted by a young lady tapping on his shoulder, which was.. Honestly fairly annoying, but he understands how to contain himself.

"Good day... Uhm... Er.. Comrade." she said, trying to look over Squge's shoulder.

"Yes?"

"How are you... Sir?" she worries.

"Just fine, you?" he says, turning to face her.

"I have a few questions..." She notes, very reluctantly.

"Ask ahead, comrade." Squge weaves, as his tone is cool and relaxed.

"What is it like... Running a nation?"

Squge chuckles, "Stressful, yet it is my passion, making it also fun and stressful."

"How in the world can something be both fun and stressful?"

"Its like marriage, you love that person so much, but at the same time its such a pain being married with them."

She slightly laughs, "That explains your marriage laws, then."

He chuckles back, "Indeed."

There is a quick pause throughout the room, as she thinks of her next question.

"So, sir. Why are you going to Bratislav?"

"Not really any reason, more just to clear up anything between the IFA and UL."

"What kind of things?"

"I'd prefer if we kept this quiet. The captain is most likely waiting for you."

She jumps back to her feet, graciously, and dashes towards the cockpit, being yelled at for being so late with the drinks. She had obviously been hurt hard by her heavy citisim, as she comes out, steel like, trying to be strong, and Squge nods to her as she goes to the back to make the tea again. Squge notices her as she passes by as her sadness. She goes back to the back cargo room and goes back to reading. Hmph, so the IFC did make a new council room... What a surprise...

LANDING IN BRATISLAV | 5:47 PM

-SZZHHHHT- This is plane B-9180, Motherland State Plane, preparing for landing. Over. Respond.

-SZZHHHHT- Plane B-9180, you are clear for landing. Over.

-SZZHHHHT- Landing. Over.

Squge was looking out the window into the nice, warm, crisp skyline of Bratislav. The strong wind of the midlands of Atlas, what a place to be located in. Yet, now he is here to experience himself, Musrum; through his own eyes. He excites as the plane is soon to land, the gears come out, and the plane slows down. He sees a delegation of various nationalities, although mostly Caucasian/Bratislavan, start walking over to the landing site for the plane. Although, sadly Convist Union planes are much lower and built to be stronger on landing than liftoff compared to Bratislav planes, so the plane requires Squge to walk down some stairs to meet the very delegation he had just seen.

The B-9180 Areoloft had started to land on Bratislav Territory, as it had taken out its landing gears and pressed onto the ground, slowing it down and finally getting into the landing space for the aircraft. The door opened as Squge had walked out onto the asphalt. The first rays of sunset were starting to come over Bratislav's horizon, and the purple-orange color was starting to glow. He stares at the sunset, hands in pocket, waiting for the appropriate delegation to walk over as he sees in the distance. What will come next, no one is too sure. Besides, no man this high class has ever set foot on Bratislavian territory from the UL, but Squgeious Kolebrath Alfi Dakia, the leader of the United Motherland is knocking right on Bratislav's doorstep.

This was yet not his territory, yet no man can live without risks.

RASMAN BOXESHI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The Government delegation watched as the plane from the United Motherland touched down on the main runway of the airport. Leading the delegation to accept Squge was the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sokol Bergorev, a 38 year old, smart diplomat, that was known as one of the most skilled diplomats before his appointment as Foreign Minister. He was a deep believer in neo-liberal economic policies just like President Albanov and was a close ally of him.

There had been speculation throughout the Bratislavian Media as what the visit would entail and if any concrete deals would be formalized with the leftist nation. People in the Bratislavian National Front, a far-right political party that was in the ruling coalition, opposed the visit of Squge and asked that their supporters hold protests against Squge, while the center-left Progressive Party welcomed the dialogue between the two sides.

As the Aeroflot plane touched down, some of the older members of the delegation viewed it with nostalgia. Bratislav had been a Socialist Republic for several decades and such planes had become the standard in addition to Lada cars and other such Soviet influences. For the delegation it was like meeting someone of the past, to them the IFC, Free Markets, Neo-Liberalism was the present and future, and many looked down upon countries that still used leftist economic model.

As the plane came to a steady halt near the reception area, the flags of the two countries were waving, with a large red carpet rolled out, as the United Motherland delegation came out, the Foreign Minister received Squge who was exiting the plane.

"Welcome to Bratislav, Sir, I hope your flight has been pleasant. Let us begin:"

The guardsmen shouted, "Elah sa nisim jeraĵ i tebrad!" which is in Bratislavian "God is our refuge and strength" the country' motto, and after that as was routine for all state visits the anthems of the two countries were played:

The Bratislavian Anthem: LISTEN

**While Music playing**
As the beautiful anthem of Bratislav played the Foreign Minister looked at the blue and white Bratislavian flag waving strongly, the anthem always reminded him of the sacrifices that his countrymen had given to create this great country, a country free, strong, and determined.

"Very pleasant, comrade. Your national anthem certainly has a nice touch of nationalism." He turns to face the minister, "I am ready to go when you are, comrade." he says, having his hand open for a handshake.

"Very well."

The Minister showed the leader into the black, fortified Mercedes S-Class official diplomatic car.

As the two were in the car, going:

"I must say it was bit of a surprise for our Government when you stated your willingness to visit. I do believe there are some common points we can talk about. Your first visit will be with the Bratislavian Parliament. I'm sure some of the leftist members of parliament will be delighted to meet you"

The minister smirked.

"Later in the day, you will meet President Albanov in the Presidential Palace. Afterwards, as is routine for state visits, you and the President will lay wreaths at the Tomb of the Republic, where is buried the founder of this great Republic, Rasman Boxeshi."

"All the arrangements have been made, and it is important that we are opening this diplomatic channel between our countries."

"Yes, that will be the last stop of the visit."

The diplomatic car arrived at the gates of the Parliament, inside several of the Progressive Party and Communist Party delegates were ready to receive the leader from TUM. As members of the right-wing ruling party refused to meet with the Leader.

TUM stepped outside of the diplomatic car, onto the soft grass of the infront of Bratislav's Parlimetnary building, he walks in, while many flashing lights shine in his eyes. He is met by one man whom walks up to him and shakes his hand, in which seems to be the leader of the Communist Party of Bratislav.

"Very nice to meet you comrade, what is it like in Bratislav?" said Squge.

"Well the Communist Party is a rare specie in this country. It is not easy being communist here, I will give you that. We only have 3 representatives of this party, we mainly work with the Progressive Party which is much larger. We are honestly just trying to push some welfare programs that can help the people, we don't want anything radical, but the ruling party led by President Albanov have implement a very neo-liberal, right-wing economic policy, and they simply don't compromise with us. Before Albanov, there was a lot of uncertainty in Bratislav, you had leftists on one side, you had center-right conservative on another, than you had the right-wing military-industrial complex supported by the military on the other side. That's why the history was so turbulent, basically what happened in end, is all that uncertainty, wars, ended with a military coup, afterwards David Albanov and his allies were elected into office as close allies of that military-industrial complex. Now, with our country much more stable and stronger, Albanov has cemented a right-wing ruling elite that is closely connected with the Military. Given the popularity and sheer power of Albanov, it will be near impossible to uproot him or his ruling elite from our country. So the progressives and leftists like myself, just try to do what we can. We are advocating to open channels of dialogue with countries such as yours and with Cydonia...well those calls often fall on deaf years. "

The two men were in one of the Parliament offices. The large window overlooked that particular district of Musrum, known as the Government District, a large beautiful church stood just across the Parliament.

"It's a Bratislavian Orthodox Church - the official national religion of Bratislav. Apparently that's where all the politicians go to pray and for mass, I guess it's fitting, politicians need a play to absolve themselves of their sins" *chuckles*

"Tell me, friend, what has inspired you to make a visit here in Bratislav? I heard you will meet the President today..."
