1. Their refusal to grant the to love whom one wishes, a woman's right to make informed decisions about her own health, and the freedom of worship.
2. Their use of capital punishment as public spectacle, in essence terrorizing the populace into conformity.
3. Their favorable stance towards the use of nuclear weaponry, which could potentially destabilize world peace and lead to the murder of millions of people.
4. Their goal of installing a totalitarian state.
5. Their executions of prisoners of war.
6. Their initiation of war against otherwise peaceful nations that do not agree with their ideology.

A nation founded upon Thermirism would be an active threat to free peoples across the world. Therefore, our Most Serene Republic wishes to declare itself sided with King Andrew VI, the current monarch of Deutsch-Brittannia. We wish to provide the current monarchy with the following resources:

Near Imperial Chorrol, up in the sky

The bombers were enormous - B-22 Zeus[ aircraft, essentially much enlarged imitations of the historical B-52 bombers. For this strike, neither of them carried their full load of bombs and munitions - that was not necessary. The bombs that were chosen were small - indeed, ‘small’ was in their very name. Each of the planes carried merely 11 tons of munitions - one hundred Small Diameter Bombs.

As soon as they got within sixty miles of the city, they opened their bomb bays, and the bombs began to fall down. As they fell, wing-like attachments on the sides of the bombs began to open, the devices gliding towards their targets like birds of prey. Guided by data input from navigation satellites up in the skies, the bombs did not require an engine to steer - they worked like small, soulless, unmanned gliders.

The bombs carried a small quantity of high-power explosive mixed with tungsten - about two dozen kilograms per each bomb warhead. This was designed to cause powerful explosions in a limited space, limiting collateral damage. Guided with extreme precision, the miniature death-gliders sped towards about fifty suspected rebel targets, each of them to be targeted four times by the munitions.

Elsewhere

The Allanean fleet was now on its way. It was a small strike force, only just larger than the Deutsch-Brittanian strike force. It would not aim its journey directly towards the Sassinian homeland, and was not intended to ever come close to its shore. Instead, it was aimed towards a point two thousand kilometres south of the Sassinian Arab Penninsula, far beyond the range of shore-launched missiles, or the detection of even shore patrol aircraft.

Soon the battle would begin in earnest.

Without further ado, commanders of all operating units in the Deutsch-Britannian territory were relayed information of their task once they get to enter the friendly territory. The war on Sassinia is another issue, and as soon as the rebels are purged completely, cleaning Sassinia out will be very easy. The following actions per unit were initiated, as per Royal-Imperial Commonwealths Command:

- 43rd Mechanized Infantry Regiment, move north from the capital city and clear any rebel presence there.
- 49th Mechanized Infantry Regiment, move south from the capital city and clear urban areas of rebels.
- 198th Mechanized Infantry Regiment, remain at capital city and secure it.

- 55th Armor Regiment, remain at capital city and secure it.
- 78th Armor Regiment, move east and destroy any rebel formation while pushing them out of the country.

After such orders were relayed, operators went out and conducted their tasks. Metal boxes of the Arsenalium rolled out, creating a thunderstorm and an earthquake soon to eradicate the rebel pest once and for all. Panzervagn-2 main battle tanks, Panzarterrangbil 1 armored personnel carriers, and YrT9A2 Solentyr Heavy IFV were also present in the metalborne carnage that is about to happen. Such terrifying presence of the classy Knights of the Garden of Eden are not enough to measure their fulfillment of what was to come.

The seas, now mostly dominated with Viktorikan steel are both securing the shores and expecting the Sassinian's death arrival at the seaside. Although most are newly-made ships from the Arsenalium, ships of high-quality classes such as the Noble-class Supercarriers, Warhorse-class Dreadnoughts, Templar-class Heavy destroyers, Mason-class Guided-missile submarines, and Kazatlan-class amphibious assault ships were an unfailing remark of the Quirinese power at the seas.

Well, time to teach these vermins some cleanin'.

The rocket had taken off into the atmosphere. Five other rockets, identical to this one, were launched subsequently. Missiles? No. WMDS? No. Each of these would reach space and establish orbit around Earth. Then, they would each build a small orbital space station, and to build them the equipment was inside each of the rockets. Each of these space stations would have four kinetic missiles, each powerful enough to destroy a city, like a nuclear bomb, but without the radiation. The four rockets would be placed:

Zeus: Over the capital city of Deutsch-Britannia

Poseidon: Over the Allanean fleet

Hades: Over the Quirinian fleet

Apollo: Over the Deutsch-Britannian fleet

The Allaneans reacted to the enemy’s preparatory action in a simple, low-technology way. As soon as the enormous missiles were spotted - and as soon as it became evident that a giant construction project was under way in orbit - Allaneans did not wait the 12 hours for it to be complete.

THe Allanean counterattack was swift and incredibly brutal. Rising from each of the Mogami-class cruisers came ten missiles - anti-satellite missiles, each carrying a high-speed impactor warhead. There were sixteen cruisers, and therefore a hundred sixty trails of smoke instantly rose towards the incomplete space station.

But this wasn’t enough. Even though the missiles screamed towards their target at an eye-watering speed of four and a half kilometers per second, it was perhaps possible that the enemy might have some newfangled way of stopping all of them.

For this reason - about thirty minutes after the missiles were launched - two strike aircraft rose from each of the four carriers, and began to climb directly upwards, each carrying two anti-sattellite rockets. When the aircraft were high enough, the rockets detached and began to accelerate upwards, the as-yet incomplete space station now targeted with sixteen more weapons.

The battle had begun.

1. I will accept - for the sake of this RP - that you are capable of launching to space, and then dropping on me, an impactor capable of a nuclear bomb-equivalent firepower. (This does not exist in MT). However I'd like to know what the firepower of this impactor is, how big is it approximately (it'd have to be pretty big) and how is it guided. I will post damage from your attack once you answer this question.

2. It is in fact very possible to shoot down a re-entering object. That's what anti-ballistic missiles do.

The only ships in the entire formation of naval forces that aren't capable of launching rockets are the aircraft carriers, supply ships and hospital ships. The rest can deal a devastating onslaught, even when alone. The degree of anti-ballistic missile apprehension was on full alert, long before the battle starts. The LY4032 'Rampart' exo-atmospheric counter-strategic interceptor missile is surely to decimate the Apollo warhead. An incoming ballistic is still an incoming ballistic. The satellites at space coordinated the presence of the warhead heading over the Commonwealth-Viktorikan fleet. As expected, the Phalanx-class Battlecruisers, Warhorse-class Dreadnoughts, Templar-class Heavy destroyers, Fortknight-class Cruisers, Falchion-class corvettes, Ballista-class missile boats, Illuminati-class Ballistic missile submarines, and Mason-class Guided-missile submarines fired their lots of 'Rampart' EACSIM towards that single target. Well, the interception of that kinetic bombing device is surely to fail to reach the fleet, even a single inch of predicted range.

After such interception, warships capable of sending payload then prepared for their first strike, all using the Sjolmasrobot 10 supersonic stealth cruise missiles for larger capital ships, and HK7 'Viking' Hypersonic Cruise Missiles for the less-sized capital warships. This was a preparation for the so-called "death sea orchestra" that every Quirinese naval commander does. Longsword-class supercapital warships are only barely in the formation to mention, at the reserve lines of the naval forces, soon to be awakened. The 2 battleship squadrons and the 97th SATF, after firing their EACSIMs, moved forward to deter the incoming Sassinian naval forces while in international waters, though expected to wait for barely a day for their arrival.

"Sir, the Sassinians have declared war!" says the Legionnaire at comms.

"Shit, this is not good. Order the pilots to get ready for an emergency scramble, and let every ship in the fleet know about this. Order them to go to general quarters." Orders the Navibus Praetor. The fleet consists of 3 Guided Missile Cruisers: NRS Caelsu, NRS Jupiter, and NRS Tempestas. It has 7 Destroyers: NRS Pluto, NRS Proserpine, NRS Cerebus, NRS Plutus, NRS Vulcan, NRS Apollo, and NRS Diana. And 2 Aircraft Carriers: NRS Mars and NRS Bellona. All ships acknowledge, and signal they are at general quarters.

7th Air Legion, enroute to Sassinia
The Legion just finished in air refuel when the message came over the radio on a secure channel. Great, now we get to fight yet another war. thinks a Centurion in one of the B-52's. The Strike force is comprised of 10 B-52's, which is loaded with incendiary bombs, except for 2 of them which are loaded with BLU-82's. Guarding these bombers are a group of F-16 and F-15E fighters, 30 in all. They are approaching the coast, ETA 30 Minutes.

Praetorian Guard Building, Starfleet Department
The Cohortion at one of the radar stations in space. "What the..." he mutters "Is that, no, no, no, no! Hercules! Praetor! We have a 2319!" he shouts.

"What!? A 2319, how?" asks the Praetor, running over. "Crap, whose orbital system is that?" he asks.

"I'm not sure, but we do have multiple launches earlier today from Sassinia."

"Really, that is bad, very bad." The Praetor runs over to his desk and calls Starfleet Command. "Sir," he snapped to attention "I recommend scrambling the Scramjets. Sassinia has some sort of orbital launch system up there. The Scramjets can take them down, or at least try."

"Ok, we shall do that." At that moment, sirens blasted everywhere in the Starfleet Department. "We are Scrambling! That is right, we are at war!" A cheer rises up in the room.

Elsewhere in the Praetorian Guard Building
"Sir, this is from Starfleet." A Cohortion gives a tablet with the information from Starfleet to Praetorian Consul Julius. "Oh no, great..." he presses a button under his desk. That triggered an emergency signal that trigger a light in the IDDS Control to turn on the IDDS. The IDDS is the Iron Dome Defence System. It is used to defend New Roma Republic against missiles.

The Helicarriers Fury, Stark, and Enterprise are rerouted to Sassinia. The SHIELD planes are prepared to launch off the Helicarriers. They are an hour behind the NRR Strike Force.

OOC: The article states that a 9-ton rod moving at Mach 10 has an impact energy equal to 11.5 tons TNT. Assuming charitably that a rod moving at Mach 25 has 2.5 times more explosive energy (assuming perfect efficiency, we’re talking about the equivalent of 28.75 tons TNT. Even if it was a 90-ton rod moving at Mach 25 (how did a 90-ton rod get into space?) that’s still 287 tons TNT. It’s a pretty boom but it’d still have to drop directly onto a ship to kill it.

The four kinetic strike packages sped down towards the Allanean ships, and of course simultaneously several anti-ballistic missiles sped towards the strike packages. There were loud flashes of fire as the strike packages were hit by the missiles, again and again.

Three were hit - and their course altered just slightly. They were struck again and again, breaking up as they fell off into the sea.

The fourth, however, struck directly against a Mogami-class cruiser, the vessel breaking in half as the mighty blow shattered it, the entire crew instantly killed by the impact.

The fleet continued sailing towards the Sassinians.

"Alpha, this is tower, you have clearance to take off. SPQR." The first Star Legion takes off. The second begins to taxi up. 5 minutes later:

"This Strike Force Bravo, ready to take off on Operation Picard."

"Bravo, this is tower, you have clearance to take off. SPQR." The second Star Legion takes off. The third begins to taxi up. 5 minutes later:

"This is Strike Force Charlie, ready to take off on Operation Sisko."

"Charlie, this is tower, you have clearance to take off. SPQR" They take off. The 3 strike forces are in the air. They have the SR-72 Scramjet from Lockheed-Martin. They are armed with a single laser on the nose. The point of the laser is to heat up the metal, so it begins to deform, and the orbit is affected by it. They will arrive in orbit in 45 minutes.

The Quirinan missiles were spotted by the offensive fleet, and one of them crashed into the seas dangerously close to a destroyer. However, anti-ballistic missiles were launched, and the rest of them were destroyed in a few minutes. The fleet continued its journey, and it would be only a few minutes, before the battle would begin...
