Near the Republic of Kejia-People's Republic of Kejia Border
2010 Hours
11th Kejian Jalaväerügement, 2nd Company, 3rd Platoon, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Team, Private First Class Lisyer Haksua
What was happening? Howitzer fire from the other side of the border had erupted when Haksua's platoon's convoy had passed by on one of the border roads, a dirt road with the left side of it facing a moderate hill and the other side going downhill, both sides covered in forest. Their front PHANTOM MRAP had been shredded by shrapnel and from what Haksua heard from the other squadrons, their lieutenant was dead. The platoon began to dismount, Haksua checking his M16A2's magazine before getting out. As he did, the soldier next to him was struck by a round.
"Contact! Shit! Ambush!" A Kejian soldier yelled.
Rounds began to be fired off from the left side of the road where a few casualties had already formed. Haksua ducked for cover behind his HYENA All-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicle before glancing around, feeling hopeless as more rounds came down from the sky like meteors.
"Focus guys! We didn't come all this way out here to the border to die like dogs!" Haksua recognized the voice, it was the platoon sergeant, Staff Sergeant Juyers Cliecealle, who was calling out. "These are just damn communists and insurgents! They're human like us!"
A few men were lifted by this and soon enough, the platoon began returning rounds back into the woods. Cliecealle's inspiration had gone through the platoon, temporarily restoring morale. Haksua peaked around the back of the HYENA before raising his rifle and squeezing the trigger. He didn't know how many times he pulled the trigger but before he knew it, the gun was clicking. Moving back into cover, he reloaded before firing the M16A2 at the forest again. Eight Kejian men went in the woods and came out with only six men remaining, smiling at their accomplishment.
"It was a cell of around eight insurgents!" One of them cried. "We got 'em! We got 'em! We g-"
The group were soon blown to dust as a shell hit them from the border. The platoon soon turned their attention back to the current and present threat. The convoy was soon, once again, subjected to a bombardment from the howitzers in the People's Republic of Kejia's territory. The troops were panicked and even Cliecealle's encouragements couldn't hold a few men from dropping their weapons and fleeing into the forest under the immense pressure the platoon was under.
"Is the radioman still up?!" Cliecealle shouted back at what remained of the platoon command detachment.
"No! He was with the lieu!" One of the soldiers replied. "Radio's done! We're done! Fuck me!"
"Who has a radio? We can call up another platoon to EVAC us!" Cliecealle turned around from behind the HYENA. "Anyone?!"
A series of no's went up from the remnants of the platoon. It was clear the platoon needed to retreat, or suffer annihilation. So, that was it, Cliecealle gave the order and the Kejian troops retreated into the forest where the insurgents had been, leaving behind all of their vehicles, and many of their dead.

Near Paugandas - Yesterday, KDR officials reported that one of the border patrols were once again, subjugated to bombardments from the People's Republic of Kejia and ambushes from RVVKS forces. Although, yesterday, there was an event that was different. KDR officials have reported that the People's Republic of Kejia has moved formations of their armed forces across the Kejian border as an unofficial declaration of war against the Republic of Kejia. People living in Whitsburg are advised to stay indoors and to head to bomb shelters if the air raid sirens are ever activated.
Officials in Oksbyre have reported that Ontorisa will only support the Republic of Kejia with economic support, financial support and military advisers. Prime Minister Psunagel Osiah has pleaded with other nations to help the Republic of Kejia fight off this deadly invasion that threatens a communist takeover of the island of Kejia.
Ontorisan spokesperson Sejuai Xerdaki commented on the situation saying it was "a conflict that was futile in political and military goals" and that "the People's Republic of Kejia had no valid reason to invade the Republic of Kejia except to provoke the Kejian people."
Hi, so this is a roleplay about the People's Republic of Kejia invading the Republic of Kejia, two nations that are located near the country of Ontorisa on the island of Kejia. Lately, there have been tensions between the two Kejian countries following Ontorisa granting semi-independence to the Republic of Kejia. With this, the People's Republic of Kejia has jumped the opportunity to unite all of Kejia under one political idea: communism. Thus this is the first Kejian conflict.
Anyways, that's the whole background of it. I'll upload the map of Kejia later on once enough people manage to join.
Currently what I'm trying to do is get a scenario similar to that of the Vietnamese War with the RVVKS acting like the Vietcong and the IMRK acting like the NVA. Except, we're deciding what type of governance the island should be: two states or one state.
