Shadow looked at Xil, and knew that though the God had done things frowned upon by much of the Galaxy's greatest superpowers, Xil was filled with. regret at what he had done.

"I will not fight with you Xil. At least, not unless what you do goes against the laws of Red Dusk. For now, I will be you ally. Prove me wrong, that you have truly come to understand the rights and wrongs of the universe, and I believe that our forces can fight together with a bond of Friendship."

The ships quickly changed course and brought the ponies back to the planet, and departed to return to the cruiser empty hoofed. Sunset Shimmer then gave the order to leave the planet's orbit and head for home. "So much for that. Surprised to see how quickly these ponies are willing to against their own kind after our effort to liberate them. Not even a thank you." Sunset Shimmer huffed and slammed a hoof on chair's armrest. "Take us home quickly. We are done here. Activate Arcane Gate!" A large portal opened up and the cruiser begins to pass through it.

Now lacking a charge, the RDSC wondered briefly what they were to do now. Shadow answered that a second later, giving them orders to return to their postings as before.

In orbit, the Shadow Ascendency requested permission from Shadow to leave a frigate behind to retrieve him instead. Though Shadow was uncertain about whether he wanted to lose the strongest asset for him in orbit, he knew that the officers and crew of the ship had spent over a year onboard. They had been due for shore leave before the crisis here began. As such, he granted permission for the switch.

Left behind, a frigate named the Forward Unto Dusk was left to transport Shadow home once the peace treaty was completed.

The emissary nodded and smiled at Altharan, "We thank you for understanding and actually seeing from our perspective on this, we are undoubtedly ecstatic that our ponies are returning home. It is a shame the nation of Red Dusk is actually willing to go so far as to shoot at our fleet in our goal to safely retrieve our citizens. It only shows that they are a opportunistic nation hell-bent on exploiting smaller political entities. We are no pushover, nor will we allow such events to go without retribution."

The mare quickly polished and adjusted her name tag, which read 'Twizzler Twist'. A respected former commanding officer of Genosia Liberators, well-known among the Coyotian Army as the most cunning paramilitary Lieutenant Colonel, her guerrilla operations once recognized and respected by multiple galactic powers two decades ago.

Of course her last statement about executing the crew members was harsh, but she's not the one giving orders here, nor do the rebels in their life-or-death struggle for freedom is gonna allow hundreds of their ponies just vanish. On a planet with a population of 14 billion inhabitants, it was amazing the government would go far to retrieve just a few hundred ponies, yet no one found that respectable in the slightest.

She cleared her throat and glanced at Xil, "Have we reached a conclusion regarding the independence of Yalshia V and its nearby territories?"

The Admiral nodded as the proceedings continued, content with the way the situation was progressing. The return of the Yalshians by Shimmer had defused the immediate crisis and now it looked as if the war truly was done and dusted as talk turned towards possible alliances and futures of co-operation and friendship. The speed of it all took Thud aback.

"The Commonwealth will have to decline your offer for an alliance Xil, with all due respect. Perhaps in the future a bond can be forged between our two nations, but I feel that the direct aftermath of such a conflict is neither the time nor the place where they can be formed. Regardless, I'm sure I can have trade rights authorised to certain Bentusi worlds and ports to begin the process of fostering better relations and understanding between our two peoples." Perhaps I'm getting a bit too used to politics.

"With regards to the peace treaty, we have no objections and are willing to sign on to any as an observer or witness. However, we would recommend that an international monitoring force temporarily be established to ensure the safe and effective rehabilitation of the slave population, as well as to assure that the obligations stated in the treaty are enforced." The Bentusi had no real power at the negotiating table, so could only propose such a measure, but Thud felt strongly that they couldn't just pack up and leave the inhabitants of Yalshia V to pick up the pieces on their own. It hadn't been their ships in orbit that had wreaked so much destruction after all. "Bentus is more than willing to provide a small contingent of observers if requested - I'd say 5,000 men as a ball-park figure perhaps? With engineering and PTSD experts also possibly accompanying them."

Shok landed beside Xil as well as Czin did. But they didn't oppose no threat. Just waiting on Xil to come back home on Planet Aio.Xil looked over at her and nods.

Indeed. As I announced before, the planet we raged war on will be fixed by us for causing such devastation. However, I will announce that once the peace treaty Is signed, I will make a vow to transfer new technology for those who's here. Including you, the ponies who I kept their slaves. I was wrong. Dr. Sullivan treated me better then this. But It doesn't matter. The point Is, the slaves are free and the war Is over. Anyone got something to say?

OOC: Post, again, will be short. I'm busy cleaning my house.

Shadow glanced at the representative of the Yalshian government, raising an eyebrow.

"I only said that my forces would fire on you fleet after I heard that you would execute the officers and crew of the ships carrying the... How will they be defined... Refugee's , I think... The ships carrying the refugee's. Execution of a crew is a War Crime, and such actions are something that Red Dusk will NEVER allow to happen in our presence. I sought only to prevent such an action. My warships never opened fire, nor did they attempt in any way to harm the people's of Yalshia V. They were present there as a buffer to prevent further death in this conflict."

Shadow felt that things were beginning to get out of hand, and added.

"If my actions were wrong, then, I apologize. However, I had been under the impression that your nation was planning on murdering hundreds of innocent soldiers, who had simply been following orders."

“I think it goes without saying that Yalshia will be independent evermore,” Altharan said, “But what other territories are you interested in? We are here to support your independence, not expansion, while we are quite happy to look into the matter,” he said to Twizzler Twist, “are we speaking of territories that your people previously occupied and were deprived of, or other territories entirely?” he looked at Shadow again.

“Execution of prisoners of war is a crime, yes. Pirates and slavers are what are referred to as Hostis Sapiens Generis, that is to say, Generic Enemies of Sapience, or Enemies of Sapientkind in General. Slavers and pirates enjoy no protections under any treaty that I am aware of, certainly none that the Great Civilization is a party to, and are held to be subject to the jurisdiction of any nation that obtains them. Had these people been in fact, slavers, summary execution would be quite legal by customary law. They are not, so the matter is however, closed.”

He looked to Xil, “As said, of course, we would be happy to sign a non-aggression and free trade pact with you should you make proper restitution for all the damages of this war to all parties, provided that you will confirm the freedom of speech, association, travel and religion for your people. Likewise of course, we wish to proceed forward in friendship and amity with Yalshia.”

OOC: Can we assume you are now releasing the slaves Caliv?

Twizzler glanced at her stack of papers, going through them and clearing her throat, "Our two moons, Kriatia and Luna; the first one is a massive military base, and the second is a trading post, we believe its fair that they go with us so we may benefit our economy and our space fleet. They were indeed, territories that moth ponies once inhabited and were deprived of."

She adjusted her glasses as well, her delicate figure would make one wonder how she was once a fierce commander. Nonetheless, she would feel nothing but pure elation by the imminent outcome of this meeting, her planet would be free to begin anew and trade with the civilizations in the galaxy and beyond.

"Altharan, we are greatly interested in establishing relations between our nation and the C'tan." Preferably, the rebels wanted to maintain relations with a human or pony civilization, instead, decided to side with the Necrons in gratitude for helping them achieve liberty.

OOC: Sure.

IC:
Xil summoned one Clockworks and ordered it to release the slaves. The Clockwork hesitated. He looked at it with a 'NOW.' Look. The machine released them, escorting them to stand behind Xil.

There you all go. I've set them free. I just hope you all would keep you're end of the deal. If not, that Is understandable. As for you, the people of Alleana, I'll see that you receive technology and weaponry soon enough. And C'tan? Although both of us held our defense line in battle, It's clear to me you and I could be a great team to oppose threats. Hope you agree.  Anymore questions before we leave?

"Altharan. War criminals do not simply change. Those who commit acts of slavery or genocide do not tend to simply change. We cannot simply allow the Calivanthians go with a slap on the wrist. They may be tempted to simply revert to their sinful ways."

Senyau slowly raised his cap towards his head, visually displeased with the relative moderation of the demands thus presented.

"Xil and his conspirators should, reasonably, be forced to return all of the slaves they have sold, even if by force. They can use their demonic magic and military might to free the slaves they have already sold. I say they be forced to fight and war until every single pony ever sold from this world is reunited with his or her family. It's only fitting and just that the Calivanthians be forced to reverse the cruelty of their own actions. They can take their clockworks, who, I assume, cannot die, and launch assaults on every world that has purchased their stock until every pony is liberated. Slavery is a stain upon the sanctity of life and the morality of this universe. Surely, this demand is not too extreme?"

"Is it enough to simply liberate the slaves under Calivanthain possession? There are likely hundreds or thousands wasting away in distant empires, each one forcibly torn away from home and hearth to raise funds for the Calivanthain war effort. This is inexcusable. Yalos will even help foot the bill to repurchase those ponies already sold, if you can negotiate their peaceful return."

Senyau fit the cap upon his head, resting it at a half cocked angle over his right eye.

"And, of course, Xil, should you manage to free the slaves you have already sold, we could discuss Yalosii assistance in your war against the Coyotians. Especially if they are slavers or Communists."

Altharan waited to see what Xil would say in relation to the Yalosian remarks; he would not demand such a thing, but he certainly wouldn't oppose it either. At the very least he would request a database of purchasers for future... reference.

Xil suddenly looked over at Senyau and raised his eyes a bit at his response. Xil didn't keep anymore slaves, nor did he intended to in the first place.

Code: Select all
I will take my actions on Coyotia. His head will be mine for starting this whole war. And me keeping slaves, I dare not say so. If I wanted to have slaves scattered across my planet, I'd have them there by now. And no ponies are sold neither. We don't use magic to possess slaves in our grasp. In fact, I took them from Soviets land and placed them here. Besides. These slaves...

***Xil pointed behind him***

Are already free. I don't have no more alive. These slaves are the only ones I took from them. The Calivanthians will do whatever It takes to bring forth peace and prosperity back to the lands after we fix everything. See for yourself.

Altharan bowed his head, “Very well, we shall remain to supervise this repair effort, and then depart, once the aforementioned moons are also returned to Yalshian control, and we shall be happy to be allied with both parties, provided that the Calivanthians provide to us records of all activities and sales performed during their slavery campaigns also, to verify their claims and to hunt any other slavers involved,” he said, turning his head to look at Armillus.

“I am done here. I invite you to come aboard, or send an officer aboard, my ship, we have much speak of I believe,” he said, “Not least your navigation difficulties. I suspect you are having some trouble locating the astronomicon, yes?” he asked, before the image faded away, leaving only the negotiator who had accompanied him there, in case anyone had any questions.

The Yalshians would discover that there were far more than necrons in the Great Civilization, and indeed there were both humans and ponies and many things besides.

It was over. The war ended with a lot of casualties on every side, including the Calivanthians. The blood was getting cleaned.and trees were getting fixed. As if to say, a war never broke out here before. Shok and Czin vanished back to planet Aio and waited on Xil's return.

Code: Select all
I appreciate you all negotiating with me. However, my actions will be taken on Coyotia sooner or later. Though, I'm not entirely sure when. But I can say one thing: once he goes down, I can finally live In peace. And there will be no more tensions between no one else. Hopefully. The Calivanthians will spare a lot, like I said. (And by that, giving you technology through telegrams.) I shall take my leave. Is there any questions anyone would. like to ask me?

Xil was amazed. Happy, more like. The God nodded a bit in a 'yes' way as he looked at the leaders to his left then to his right. The clouds released the sun as If It was imprisoned behind bars for forever. It beamed and reflect off of Xil's Black armor. The sky was blue and the destruction was finally over. Hopefully, Xil doesn't have to deal with a war like this ever again.

Shadow took his leave, saying only that more urgent matters at home called him.

"The damned people's of Lithuia are attempting to annex a territory they claim as theirs, when it hasn't been theirs since their defeat centuries ago...
I don't know why my predecessor decided to let them continue to live, but I must carry on his wishes.

I apologize for the sudden leave, but it turns out that they have managed to build at least 1 operational spaceship. I need to deal with that situation in person."

Turning to the representative of Yalshia V, he added.
"I appologize for my earlier rudeness. I wish to contact your people at a later time about the rebuilding process. I am willing to contribute a small fleet, to both help rebuild, and to give advice to your ship-builders on how to quicken the assembly line."

Shadow turned, walking back to his transport with a slight limp.
Turning to look at Xil as he walked away, Shadow nodded, showing respect that the leader had the guts to admit he was wrong. It was difficult for one to do so, but it made things go by easier.

Orbit, Near the Forward Unto Dusk. 1600 shipboard time.
Shadow piloted his small transport towards the small ship. He was pleased by the results of the peace talks, and was glad that the war was over. It was difficult to juggle a local rebellion, and a large war between nations. Now the full RDSC could focus on local affairs. It was only a matter of time before Shadow would have had to withdraw the fleet from this war, and that would have reflected very badly on Red Dusk international relations.

As the ship entered the docking bay, Shadow notified the Bridge.
"Take us home."

The Forward Unto Dusk sped out if the FTL jammer range, and vanished a moment later.

Twizzler raised a brow, "You all are orchestrating an attack on Coyotia? I know they held this planet previously before the Calivanthians, but they aren't exactly a purchaser of pony slaves. If I recall correctly, you stated a rescue mission of sold slaves to re-build the reputation of your country, Xil... however, some of those slaves have already met their inevitable demise, as some countries purchase ponies as an essential ingredient for exotic cuisines." She shuddered at the thought of such backward nations, it was indeed sad how some countries are willing to eat sapient beings yet somehow evolved to the intergalactic scale of politics.

"Besides, the Coyotians are part of a large Commonwealth of nations, it would be unwise to launch a one-sided assault and assume a short victory."
