"Anything from them?"
"No sir, Russians have not built up the units over there, Local army seems to be quiet.'
The two Mcnernian officers looked out across the border, Fort Soviergn they called it, one of the many bunker systems that the Mcnernians and their allies had erected. Rain beat down, cold march rain that chilled men to the bone, the McNernian watched their Trans-Denisterian opposite numbers from across the border, the sound of raindrops on the tarpaulin was somewhat lulling. Manned observation and drones flying along the border.
"Well" The senior officer said to the man under him. "Carry on."
The enlisted man saluted, "Yes Leftenant." The lieutenant saluted and then left the man left. The humble corporal went back to his post, the world here was different and strange. He looked through his binoculars as the other side of the border. Such was Ukraine.
