Retaliation

Postby Vancon » Sun May 25, 2014 12:24 am

Out of nowhere the loud boom of a mans voice screamed out for Lt. Taras and his men to drop their weapons. Taras looked around to find his agressors to figure out a way to retaliate. All of a sudden, the private next to him started to open fire in the general vicenity of where the command was given. Falling of his face, tears splatered over the private's rifle as he discharged 30 bullets downrange. He was terrified. It's not every day that you're getting shot at. To top it off, this was his first time. Danil dived for cover around the closest rock he could find and waited for the ennemies response to the hail of gunfire. Quickly getting the clue, the rest of the squad ducked for cover and unloaded down into the cave with a mixture of tracer rounds and good ol' fashioned lead. Bullets cried out as they impacted into something mushy down in the darkness. Lt. Taras peeked around the corner and looked out to see if his team had done anything to the unknown amount of tango's.

Even with the downpour outside, the sound of gunfire echoed all throughout the cave and to the Vanconinas guarding the exit. After hearing the unmistakeable chiming of the Mk. III's, the rest of A-Platoon shuddered at the sight of them losing their glory and charged down into the depths of the cave, not worrying about safety. If they are able to route these intruders off of the island they will be praised and feared by all. Their footsteps in the muddy ground splashed about, as if to yell at the defenders that more Vanconians were coming. Armed with their rifles in one hand and grenades in the other, the soldiers persisted.

Back at base, the order was given that B-Platoon was to go out and patrol the island to try and find any more hostiles. The soldiers were worried since none of them had ever seen combat before, like the rest of the forces on this island. They also thought that since they had a girl for a leader, they wouldn't have to fight. They couldn't have been more wrong. Lt. Nina had more macho-ness then most lumberjacks and was very gungho about the whole event. She smiled as she clutched her Mk.III close to her chest, ready to fire at anything as soon as he could. B-Platoon's commander had her group spread out into their respective squads and they cleared the surrounding area need their homebase.

C-Platoon loaded up in the Helix tanks and pushed out to go and help their comrades in the cave. The tanks were relatively small so that their journey was simple enough to go down the beaten paths to get to the contested territory. Their large engines purred along to the beat of the rainstorm as they trumbled along the road to the cave up north. The 90mm autocannon on the turret was swivled around in circles by it's operator, a newly promoted Sargent who was eager to test out his new toy. Behind him was the rest of the 4 tank group and the 2 squads riding on top of the metal beasts. These soldiers had a bit more firepower in them, in the form of carbines and shotguns, since they had a bit more time to prepare for cavernous warfare.

Meanwhile, D-Platoon maned the guns and watchtowers around the small base. Even though they had to stay behind, the soldiers of D-Platoon were still pumped up about this whole event. They don't have to do anything really dangerous and still they will get praised and awarded for the defence of this island. All they had to do, was look around and look busy. That being said, for those who were guarding the base from the towers, their hearts were racing since they could hear the faint noises of explosions and gunfire in the distance, even with the rain pouring down all around them.

Slowly but surely, the sky got even darker as it turned to night. Rain kept on pouring down and didn't seem to want to let up anytime soon. The wind had started to pick up and now was blowing enough to make the trees wave around. What Little sunset could be seen through the clouds made the shadows stretch across the land, ruining visibility. It was going to be a long and disturbing night.

Corthina, Vanconian Territorial Waters

Captain Thawi Praves had been confident that the Vanconians would drop their weapons, but it had sadly not been the case. Waiting a brief moment for the Vanconians to comply, Thawi saw one of the Vanconians clumsily pull back the cocking handle on his weapon and for a brief moment Thawi almost felt pity for the forces he and his men were about to shred. The Vanconian let rip a barrage of unaided shots into the area where Thawi had been hiding, grazing the skin of Thawi's shoulder and sending a vast swarm of birds and small animals that had been hiding from the rain scurrying away. Gritting his teeth against the pain in his shoulder Thawi took aim with his mud coated FAL and let forth a wall of lead. The rest of his team took this as an order to open fire and started laying into the Vanconian forces, most of whom had ducked behind a pile of rocks and rubble at the caves entrance. Pulled his water proof polish radio out of its tiger camo pouch, Thawi radioed the forces within the cave letting them know they had company. Putting away his radio, Thawi reloaded and signaled to his men that they were to pursue the Vanconians into the cave.

The Padnaki forces tasked with guarding the inside of the cave sat in complete darkens, with only the sounds of distant footsteps, gunfire and the ever present drips of water breaking the silence. The cave network was a vast labyrinth of small tunnels, but the size of the Scuds had forced the Padnaki forces to store then in a large central room within the heart of the caves which was accessed by a long wide tunnel leading to the caves main entrance. Laying in wait a few hundred feet down this wide passage was a group of ten army rangers, their guns trained on the entrance to the cave. Watching the entrance of the cave through north korean night vision goggles, one of the rangers spotted a group of Vanconians almost running towards the defensive position the Padnki's inhabited. After a few quick hand signals confirmed that they had permission to engage, the dull monotony of cave sounds was broken by the metallic slam of someone cocking a PKM. For a few tense seconds the Vanconians seemed to be startled by the sound, then the rangers opened fire.

OSS Repor, OS Territoral Waters

"Sir, the pressure is cracking the hull!" Yelled a petty officer.
"If we go up, we will die, if we stay down we will die." The captain thought.
"I don't know what the end will look like, but it has been a honor serving with you all." The captain continued.
"Sir?" They looked at him in confusion, but all somehow knew what he was going to do and held their tongue.
"Set course for that carrier."

The Repor fired the rest of her 18 Mk-48 Torpedos and speed up to 23 knots before ramming into the Liberator...

OSS Fairford

The order was given to launch the rest of her F-35Cs and return to the port as soon as possible. 36 F-35Cs lifted off the deck, 2 by 2 all armed for air superiority, and began engaging the enemy aircraft around the Liberator.

Jewel Harbor

Two out of the three B-1s of Cactus flight returned, and many F-35As and F-22s returned to base, and rearmed and returned to the battle. The causality rates from the battle were looking good so far, with only 5 F-35As destroyed and 2 F-22s damaged.

Liberator AO

"Fox 3" Said the F-22 pilot, "behind me or not, I can still target you, hehe." He continued.
The modifications placed into the OSAF's F-22s were extensive, using the HMD and EOTS from the F-35, the F-22 was able to fire its weapons at almost any angle using the AIM-9X and the AIM-120D.
"2, I'm hit." Yelled another pilot.
"Roger, 4, I'm rolling in behind him. Break right and I can get a gun kill on him."
"I'm working on it, 2."
"Where the hell are our reinforcements!" Yelled another pilot.
"Keep your heads down chaps." Said another voice over the radio.
"Who the hell is this?" Doubledealer said.
"The Calvary, good buddy."
"It's the ASSUMANS!"
A group of 30 EF-2000s followed by a large group of 36 OSN F-35Cs joined the fight, all armed for air superiority.
"Samurai Flight, are we too late?" Said a Jipangunese Pilot as his squadron of another 12 F-3s joined the fight.

Battle Group Sitting Storm, Vanconian Territorial Waters

Under darkening skies the Padnaki marines and their cocoon of escort ships finally reached their destination. Sheets of thick cold rain had started to fall, but the seas remained calm enough for the landing to continue as planned. The battle group sat 25 miles of the shores of the Vanconian home island known as Castellio, and so far it seemed that the Vanconian air forces were not coming out to play. The marines had sat in their humid steel landing crafts for three days and having done their pre-battle rites, they sat like coiled springs. Waiting to throw themselves into the attack. Watching the vast flotilla of war hardened steel through the rain streaked windows of the fleets flagship, Major General Diep Dinh Thanh could just make out the basic shape of the island Padnak's finest would be assaulting. Still in a minor daze thinking about how far he had come and how close he was to fulfilling his adopted life goal, Diep looked like he had just eaten a Bolga leaf (ooc: a plant native to Padnaki used by many soldiers to get a temporary high while out in the field). Noticing the operations commanding looking a little dazed, the flagships captain gave his shoulder a firm shake then handed him an intercom, motioning that he should radio the men. The moment of temporary disconnection ended by the captain, Diep picked up the intercom and with a motion to one of the bridges radio operators was connected to every floating vessel in the battle group.

"This is your commanding speaking, all of you know what is about to happen, today we will make history, this is the first time in the history of our glorious nation that we, WE, the Padnaki's strike back. I have long waited for this day, the desire to see this day has pulled me through insurmountable odds, and with the clouds of war surrounding our fatherland my waiting has payed off. Even now as I speak the Vanconians and their allies bomb our homes, poison our crops and steal our birthright resources. When we set our boots down upon their territory today, we show them and the world that we are no longer a third world punching bag. We show the world that we have now become the boxer. We stand on a razors edge, show neither mercy nor fear, act with hesitation, you know what to do." Major General Diep Dinh Thanh, belting our a speech with a Castro like energy he had spent many sleepless nights mastering.

Throughout the fleet, over the roar of the waves and the thunder of the rain, the sound of the Padnaki marines could be heard. The people of Padnak are told from a young age that the Vanconians are an evil and imperialist people, and the zeal with which the Padnaki marines shouted their collective battle cry was fueled by a very deep hatred. The first phase of the landing, the helicopter assault, had been readied a few hours before the fleet got into range and now with the bone soaking rain permeating everything it got ready to set forth. The elite force of PARSEies and PSAF assault troops was loaded into their transport; ten Mi-24's which would be leading the charge and 15 Mi-8s which would be landing the bulk of the advanced forces. The Padnaki helicopters were sitting atop makeshift landing pads bolted to the decks of the navies 5 WW2 era LST's (landing ship, tank), and their combined rotter wash combined with the torrential rain to give the elderly rust covered ww2 boats an almost fountain like look.

The heliborne attacks objective was the large, undermanned, military base on the eastern side of the small island. After the appropriate orders had been issued the helicopters took off from the dented up steel flight decks, the hind pilots pushing their aircraft to the absolute limit for the near vertical take off, and set forth towards their target.

Pacific Commonwealth Waters

"Boys, that enemy carrier is taken heavy damage, she's not a threat any longer." said Doubledealer. "let's wait for her ammunition stores to catch fire."
"Roger Doubledealer, bingo fuel. Returning to base."
"Affirmative Doubledealer, do we have a tanker near by?"

The losses to the OSAF were minimal compared to the amount of aircraft launched, only 6 F-35s destroyed and 4 F-22s as well as a B-1R from Lancer flight. But the losses to the convoy were worse, almost 6,000 dead, thousands of civilians drowning in the dark waters of the pacific.
The homeland was gearing up for war, hundreds of thousands of men joining en-masse to be part of the war effort. The outrage of 2 consecutive attacks on civilians and this time, wounded men. The barbarity of the whole thing enraged the populace, which demanded total war, including attacks on the Emmerian homeland.

Fort Benson, Southern Commonwealth

"Requesting men of Padnaki decent of the special forces to please report to the Colonel's office." said the voice over the intercom. 12 men stood up and walked to Colonel Artson's office. Fort Benson was the home of the OS Special Forces, such as DEVGRU, and SFO-K. The special forces had been an important part of OS strategy for years, ever since the Commonwealths succeeded from the British Empire in the 1770s. The special forces armoury includes some of the most advanced weaponry the OS Government had to offer such as plastic explosives, armed scout drones, stealthy helicopters, advanced firearms, and most especially, the advanced communication systems that provided advanced COMSEC.

Task Force ALPHA
The Task Force has successfully reached out of Commonwealth territory, but the carrier ESS Librator has suffered major damages. As the result, 64 naval crewserivce men are KIA, 131 wounded, and 4 aircrafts were shot down 13 damaged, and two of their escorts have suffered damages at teh front deck. Despite teh carriers current position, the Task force are ordered to head towards to one of the closets island with a port and a airfield, the Diamond Harbor Imperial Aleutian islands, one of the island in teh pacific under the M.G.E. Although Emmerians refuses to get the netrul country involved, their current state of the task force is critical and Rear Admiral Clove turns on the transmitter to request assistance for the task force. Aware that the M.G.E. territory is neutral, the task force are far from reaching towards the port and are able to collect data of the coordinates of the DF-21Ds firing position from multiple islands of the Commonwealth.

Satellite feed picks up the coordinates position and the heavily damaged carrier sends it to the battlegroup for analyzes before heading towards Diamond Harbor Imperial Aleutian islands.

Morhovza, Padnak territory
The city that was once open to public for beaches is now turned into a fortress for defenses and the Padnaki-Emmerian cooperation are in effective use of defenses. beaches were mined and patrolled. The skies above are rolling with various fighter patrol units against any hostil aircrafts within the airspace. Carrier Battlegroups One and Two are currently stationed at the port for defenses if invasion threat is imminent and the Emmerians cant risk sending in a offensive attacks for the DF-21D missile. Emmerian Admiral, Danon Bridgers recieved words that EJ-SOC's task force ALPHA has been crippled from two battlegroups and the ESS Librator has suffered major damages and are en-route towards the Diamond Harbor Imperial Aleutian islands for repairs and supplies, if the M.G.E. allows that.

Devastation, Direction, Detection and Detours

Postby Vancon » Tue May 27, 2014 12:02 am

In the middle of the night, Provincia was awoken by tremendous noises as the Vanconian citizens froze in terror of what they had just experienced. Multiple warheads rained down of the slumbering city and destroyed municipalities all across the region. Homes were crushed, factories obliterated and families ruined. The Scuds had landed in a random pattern across Provincia and had hit a large variety of targets. Most of the shells destroyed civilian homes, causing about a hundred deaths. But two of the scuds had landed on some targets of intrest. The intensive-care unit of a busy hospital, principally catering to little girls and also a major military factory which built a large amount of the Vanconian hardware. Thousands mourned over these deaths, and even more rioted in the streets agains the government and how they just let this attack happen. However, the uproar caused by this was skillfully reversed by the Supreme Chancellor. He turned this defeat into a rally against the Padnaki powers to influence the people to enlist. Just as planed, there was a sudden boom at the recruitment offices the very next day. the vast majority of the Vanconian people can not stand idly by as their country is threatened by some unknown force. That being said, that wasn't completely true. The Government knew of only one nation who had the ability to do such a thing, as seen by a small force on one of their southern islands. That nation was none other then Padnak. In light of recent events, the Vanconian High Command had issued a state of emergency and heightened combat readiness.

Gunshots rang throughout the caves as Taras cringed at the sight next to him. What had once been a Vanconian private, had now been tured into a bloddy mess of fabric and metal. His final screams cried out for forgiveness as he grasped tightly on his trigger in his final moments. The last bullets came out of his Mk. III and into the darkness. Taras was the only one of his platoon to ever see real combat and to see someone die. He looked at the rest of the squad who lay silently in fear of death. It was only until they heard the shouts and yells of the rest of A-Platoon that they got up and showered the cave with bullets. Their rounds crashing into the back of the cave as the defenders ducked from the hail of lead. Even Taras got up and put some well aimed shots into the location of a funny-looking bush.

B-Platoon was fairing much better. The rain had calmed for a bit as night fell and now Lt. Nina's team had searched the majority of the island. They had heard explosions earlier and now had arrived near a clearing to investigate. Inside the clearing a squad of soldiers bearing Congreveopian colours. They seemed to be under fire from some unknown threat that was most likely the same enemies that A-Platoon was currently facing. Looking closely around the edge of the brush, Tanya saw a gun flash against the night sky. She silently mentioned to her squads to go around them and engage the assailants as she warned the Congreveopians. Calling for suppressive fire, she threw a radio into the clearing at the feet of the defenders.

''C-Toon on station for close fire support.'' Radioed Lt. Gaspare to his comrade inside the cave. His rough voice went with his overwhelming charisma as he ordered his tanks to surround the exit to the cave. Their cannons trained on the only know exit, he grabbed a microphone from his cupola and went to the edge of the cave.
''Attention ASSHOLES, this is Lt. Marcellco Gaspare of the Royal Vanconian Army. Out here, he have four, you hear that, four Helix tanks. Each one has a metric fuckload of missiles ready to send you to whatever form of hell you believe in. I suggest that you throw down your arms immediately and surrender. We will not hesitate to fire into the cave if you do not compel with this order!''
Gaspare stood tall above the rest of the Vanconians. His strong arms crossed and his facial hair demanding the awe and envy of all his piers. But he could do now was wait.

On the island of Castellio, night had fallen and all was quiet. That is, everywhere but the Castellio Naval Base. Even with a storm brewing in the south, the seas here had been ravaging for the past hour and to make matters worse, there was a big group of radar contacts that had appeared on the north eastern side of the island, about 25 miles out. Within minutes of this discovery a flight of Resolutes, the main fighter jet of the Royal Vanconian Airforce, had been scrambled to find out what the hell these big blobs were. They had been set up for air to air combat and simultaneous reconnaissance. High in the sky, the five planes flew to their target. It was a short flight to get visual confirmation, and what they saw was not that unexpected, yet still worrying. A large fleet of Padnaki warships was getting closer and closer by the minute. It would be to late to stop them from arriving now. All the forces on Castellio could do was prepare the battle stations. Along the beaches of Castellio, bunkers had been erected for just such an occasion. These concrete structures had been around for a long time and were nigh unused. They were filled with equal parts graffiti and cobwebs. Nevertheless, Vanconian engineers both quickly transported an assortment of cannons and machine guns to the front lines and put up tank traps along the coast. Barbwire had been laid out also by the Vanconian Army. No matter what the Padnaki's threw at them, they wouldn't be able to get through this defense. The Vanconians had the two biggest advantages. Superior military hardware and the ''home field'' advantage. But the forces didn't stop there. Vanconian planes circled above as tanks rolled about behind the bunkers. Helicopters flew about and were ready to arrive at any moment.

The 9th TDF and 2nd FL had been in contact for the past few days and were now coming close to the southern tip of Castellio. They had been warned about a possible attack and just recently they heard of it's impending arrival. The new group, under the name of Third Joint Branch Fleet had turned north-east and now were on the warpath to engage any and all hostile forces, as they were told to. Abord the fleet, soldiers readied up and started their final checklists on what had to be done before combat. They would be within aerial combat range in three days and naval combat range in four. Canons were fixed, missile tubes cleaned and engines tuned. Once combat begun, they would have no time to fix every little detail.

NIA Blacksite, Location: REDACTED

"Gentlemen, I know you men are the top tier of your counterparts of DEVGRU, or are veterans of our special activities division, but I have to ask you to complete a unconventional, unorthodox tactic in order to deliver a knockout blow to the enemy." Said the Spook.
"What kind of unconventional blow are we talking about here?" Said Preacher.
"May, I present to you, the Urthan Oil Processing Facility, a large refinery and oil rig, processing a large portion of Padnak's oil." The spook continued.
"And what exactly do we plan on doing to this rig?" Said Rabbit.
"We are going to sink it."
"And what exactly is our exfil?" Said Dingo.
"Submarine."
"Armament?" Asked Voodoo.
"Suppressed 416s, MP7A1s, HK45s, Thermite, M320s, and XM-25s. 870 MCS. M110 and Mk.48s for fire support and suppression. I really don't care as long as you bring that thing down. Are we clear TF Tiger?"
"Yes, sir."

Military Command Bunker, Unknown, Republic of Padnak

Gen. Dieu Duc Viet was looking pretty worse for ware. Slouching at the head of a long table occupied by Padnak's military high command and intelligence service advisory personnel, Dieu stared through bloodshot eyes at the men and women tasked with protecting his nation. Dieu had spent the last week and a half or so in the hardened bunker complex, and the constant stream of good and bad news coming in was the only thing sustaining him. A few hours earlier a message had arrived that Operation Constrictor was now entering its landing phase, and while this greatly pleased the sleep deprived Padnaki president, it was also accompanied by news that the attempted destruction of the Vanconian oil field had been stopped. Now news was coming in of a likely amphibious attack on Padnak herself and while most strategic locations such as large cities and oil refineries were protected by the republican guard and large groups of home guard the news still worried the Padnaki command. However Padnak was not alone, Emmerian forces now stood alongside those of Padnak and they brought a much needed level of professionalism and technology to the defense of the Pacifics most cunning nation. Spies within Vancon had reported extensive causalities as part of Scud attacks and while hostile units had already started to move into the launch site, it was this mix of good and bad news that kept President Gen. Dieu Duc Viet internally alert despite his outwardly appearance.

Corthina, Vanconian Territorial Waters

Things on the small, now boggy, island were starting to look grim. Vanconian forces from the small outpost on the island had mobilized and mounted a surprisingly effective offensive into the caves. After some brief fighting around the main entrance to the caves, the Vanconians had brought armor in to box the Padnak rangers and their scuds into the caves. It would take more then some armor and inexperienced rear echelon forces to stop some of Padank's best forces however, so during a period of brief calm the Padnaki forces got ready to make a break out. Unknown the Vanconians, the caves had far more then one entrance, and most of these had either been booby trapped or cleared of foliage to allow for rapid movement of Padnaki forces. Near the mouth of the cave the forces commanded by Captain Thawi Praves had been engaged and having taken three casualties due to indiscriminate fire were now moving towards a one of the caves secondary entrances, and the forces inside the caves were not doing much better. Hearing the Vanconians shouting , the forces guarding the primary entrance of the cave, had two options: surrender to their most hated enemy, or fight. They chose to fight. Having already lost a few men, one of the rangers radioed down to the temporary command center, requesting that someone send up one of the RPO-A Shmel's that had been brought for this exact kind of situation.

Urthan Oil Processing Facility

The 20 seals of Task Force Tiger slowly rose out of the dark water, only illuminated by the few lights on board the Padnaki Oil Rig. They were armed to the teeth, with silenced HK-416 assault rifles, HK MP7A1 PDWs, HK45 pistols, Mk.48s, XM-25 Grenade Launchers, and large amounts of plastic explosives. Overwatch was provided by a group of MQ-9 Reapers armed with Brimstone missiles. The men, none with identifying patches or markings, moved into the the oil rigs main structure.
"Voodoo, cut the power." said Preacher.
"Got it." said Voodoo.
The power went off as the Seals put on their Night vision goggles and moved quietly past the confused Padnaki guards.
"Dingo, drop that guard over there." said Preacher.
"He's done."

Morhovza, Padnaki Territory
Emmerian Marines standby as reserve forces for Padnaki forces in the shores of Morhovza. Emmerians spotted the DEN invasion forces 450 miles from the shore, preparing for the assault. Emmerian satellite picks up a visual of the fleet moving towards the harbor closer. As the Emmerians help tighten defenses, tank embankments are scattered across the city limits. Emmerians placed foxholes scattering across the front of the beachheads, mines were set up, and anti-air system goes online, jamming any missiles coming into the city. QA-10 drones goes online to provide close air support when needed, Air Force reinforcements arrived at the Morhovza International airport, consisting of 22 F-35s and 23 B-1 Lancers. To minimized casualties, Emmerian Army ground personnel are finishing evacuating civilians from the AO, mainly the city, Anti-air missile emplacements and AA guns are set up among the buildings for aerial defense. Emmerian artillery units, stationed 15 miles at the end of city limits readies their artillery cannons for action. With the defenses set up completely impenetrable, the co forces awaits for the invasion.

"Preacher, are those charges set?"
"Yeah, enough thermite to sink this entire rig."
"Got it. Let's get the hell out of here."
Atfer dropping the few remaining guards they could see, the 20 man assault force ran to a group of waiting RHIBs and moved away as Preacher set off the thermite charges. They moved for about 20 miles until a Simpson class submarine surfaced and totook them aboard and then resubmerged.

Battle Group Sitting Storm, Vanconian Territorial Waters

With the roar of the helicopters engines mixing with the thunderous din of the rainstorm filling their ears, the initial heliborne forces flew towards their objective. Moving at high speed around a hundred feet above the waves the elite PCAM troops were set to reach their objective in a mater of minuets. The plan was for these vanguard forces to be deployed a kilometer inland behind the beach defenses and in a perfect striking position on the hostile base which they would move to attack as soon as possible. The Mi-24 attack helicopters that were escorting this in initial assault would leave their comrade Mi-8's once they reached the island and would begin to strafe the beach defenses. High above this force lurked some of the island republics most dangerous weapons, a flight of six H-6 strategic bombers, loaded to their max weapons capacity under escort by a flight of ten Mig-29s.

With the storm picking up the Padnaki bombers and their escort flew high above the clouds in any almost serine calm. Apart from the occasional flash of lighting below it seemed as if the Padnaki bomber element would be able to complete their mission without incident, then one of the Migs pilots spotted something on his radar. Radioing this information to the rest of the migs and by extension the bombers and fleet, the Mig that had initially spotted the possible hostiles accelerated away from the bombers and got ready for a dogfight.

Urthan Oil Processing Facility "Bermtikla-9" Padnaki Home Islands

Oil was the life blood of Padnak and its protection was foremost in the minds of the Padnaki military. Bermtikla-9 was one of Padnak's largest off shore oil rigs and provided almost 8% of total oil drilling capabilities. The men tasked with protecting such a vast and crucial installation were from the Padnaki republican guard and had quite an impressive reputation, so when the rigs land line power cables were cut and a guard stopped delivering a report mid sentence they sprang into action. Sitting in the darkened coms room with a three scared technicians the republican guard detachments commander put on his black and grey camouflaged helmet and told the technicians to get the back up generator running. Outside of the coms room the sound of heavy boots on steel grating was joined by the distinctive clicking of guns being cocked as the republican guard forces that hadn't been on patrol were roused and sent out to search the rig for the hostile forces.

Corthina, Vanconian Territorial Waters

With the sound of the Vanconian tanks engines echoing through the caves, the Padnaki rangers prepared for their counter attack. With the only light besides the dim glow emanating from the caves mouth being bright flashes of gunfire from the entrenched Padnakies, the ranger that had been dispatched to retrieve an RPO-A Shmel returned to his comrades. Having gotten back into position behind a pile of rocks and dented water drums the ranger looked around at his comrades, made a few hand signals showing he was ready to fire before throwing himself into a standing position and firing. It was as if time had slowed down as the thermobaric rocket flew towards the Vanconian tanks and the rangers covered their ears against the roar of the back blast.

"Able Company, 3rd SZ Brigade, please report to the deck. Able Company, 3rd SZ Brigade, please report to the deck. The PA system for Bastion sounded off, which alerted the special forces unit to the deck of the assault ship. The colonel, a man by the name of Colonel Roberts, was in charge of the 3rd SZ Brigade, which was in fact the airborne brigade, and was very well trained in select special forces jumps in the dead of night, unlike most of the SS, which specialized in utter destruction.

As Roberts walked to the deck elevator, which would carry the VTOL Dropship Challenger and was in fact already on there, he saw his company massing in the elevator, weaponry in hand. They were all dressed up in their combat equipment, and in fact full battle dress. They had been preparing for an assault on the enemy lands, and had paratrooper bulletproof goggles on their helmets, which were camouflaged. They had their troop leg packs (which contained the same things as a backpack would, only on the leg), backpacks, an SMGs, Carbines, assault rifles, and MGs with them. Only a few out of them had a battle rifle, and it was the SR-1.

The elevator jerked, moving up slowly. The deck trapdoors above them opened, the salty smell of sea air filling the now mostly enclosed room. Roberts closed his eyes, and took it all in. He had to prepare himself for more of this, and even worse smells. In fact, he might have to prepare himself for gas. But now, he just thought about how much he loved the sea. It was wonderful, however deadly. And it was the reason he joined the Spetznaz.

After the elevator hit the top, the deck crews rushed to get the Challenger off the elevator, and get it into position. It was the last Challenger needed for the drop, and was the tenth one up, as each could hold twenty five men. It also had a frontal turret below the front cabin, which held a twin linked minigun, as this was an attacker craft. Quickly, the men got into their platoons of 25, rushing in front of each of the VTOL that they would be in for the mission.

Roberts watched them, and approached them slowly, gun in hand. He had ordered all of them to dress in HAHO jump, with special glide suits and parachutes. In fact, they had oxygen tanks inside the cabin of the Challenger so they could have a breathing period of 45 minutes on just pure oxygen, and they had oxygen bottles with them so they didn't get a flush of nitrogen. As he approached, they all saluted him, their huge and heavy packs on them ass they stood ready.

"Good morning, troops. I bet you're wondering what you're doing here, huh? Yeah, I bet I would, too, except we all know what we're going to do: A High Altitude High Opening jump. Well, something of the likes. This is basically what I have to say to you:" Roberts said, adjusting his pack and putting his SMG on his back, looking at them. This was, unfortunately, the only battle that they couldn't use a victory cigar until after the fight. "We're going in the dead of night, and we're going to secure the beaches for the landing crew. Is that accepted?"

"Sir, yes, sir!" The company shouted in reply, their ruby red star badge shining brightly in the sun, reflecting the light off of it. They looked impressive on the decks of the assault ship, the sea bouncing the ships in the fleet up and down gently in the background, and the sun setting into the horizon, dragging night behind her as she left the world to sleep. Now was the perfect time to get to the skies, as the travel over the 450 mile or so would take a few hours, and climb several miles.

"Alright, girls! Get your asses moving! Go to go!" Roberts shouted, clapping his hands together and rushing them into the Challangers, the doors opened already during the little briefing speech, if one could call it either. He jumped into his aircraft, boots clanging on the metal floor and his SMG flinging into the door. The door behind him closed, and it took off, the jet engines facing down roaring loudly as it propelled the plane upwards. Then the wings turned forward, and the plane shot forward, destined for the enemy land.
The beatings will continue. Regardless of morale.

"And over here, we have the AGM-100 HARM."
"Wait, I thought that the HARM was the AGM-88?" Interrupted Colonel Martin Raido.
"Colonel Raido, the AGM-100 is a derivative of the AGM-88, in which we increased the range and explosive payload."
"Ok. Admiral Greenhart, isn't DEN facing a SAM threat on Morhovza?"
"Yes, they are Colonel. What are you getting at?"
"Sir, might I suggest that we send a few hundred, 600 or so to them? Not only can we field test the weapon, but we are also helping one of our allies."
"Good point. I'll ask the President."

"Watch where you put those things! You need to tie them down." Yelled the Loadmaster.

On the desk of President Ellsworth,
To: President Ellsworth, National Command Authority
From: Major General Jose Ortega, SPACOM
Subject: Request for use of ASM-135 ASATs and SM-3s
Encryption Level: VERY HIGH

Mr. President,

The crippling of enemy communication, spy, and global positioning satellites could represent a significant blow to the enemy's war effort, and cause panic and confusion among enemy forces. I request for the deployment of ASATs to destroy Padnaki and Emmerian Satellites to assist DEN, Vanconian, and Congrevopian forces secure vital areas.

Authorization: Approved!

Vadenborg AFB, Western Commonwealth

"Orion flight, cleared for launch."
"Roger, Orion 2, good to launch?"
"Orion 2 clear."
"Orion 3?"
"Orion 3, in the green."
"Orion 4?"
"Orion 4, good to launch."
The flight of 4 F-22s armed with ASM-135s, zoom climbed quickly at full afterburner. The ASM-135 was an air launched, multistage, anti-satellite weapon, that would destroy any satellite within it's operational range of 403 miles. The payload of Orion flight was not only different, but the aircraft were as well. The F-22O had a modified HUD and Targeting display were modified to be able to target satellites. The targets were a group of Emmerian satellites, particularly a GPS satellite code-named by SPACOM as PS-1, and a Communication satellite, code-named by SPACOM as CS-4. These satellites were believed to provide communications and navigation for the majority of the Emmerian military, particularly those in the vast expanse of the Pacific.
"Orion 1, 4 ASATs away."
"Roger, Orion 1, good kinetic hits on PS-1, believed killed."
"Orion 2, 4 ASATs away."
"Roger, Orion 2, more good kinetic hits on PS-1."
"Orion 3, 4 ASATs away."
"Roger, Orion 3, good kinetic hits on CS-4."
"Orion 4, 4 ASATs away."
"Roger, Orion flight. All enemy satellites in your sector believed down. Stand by for confirmation."

OS Army CYBCOM

"Launch ULTRA." Said the Greensuiter Captain to the group of junior officers and senior NCOs.
"Yes, sir. We are into their network."
"Install FIRENET."
"Yes, sir. Confirmed upload of FIRENET."
"And whose networks do we have it on already?"
"Padnak's and Emmeria's."
"Specifics, please?'
"E-JSOC, their Drone Control networks, and Padnak's official communication systems."
"What info do we have?"
"We have to wait for a little bit to see what we have."
"Send that up to NIA, they will want whatever it is."
"Yes sir."
The FIRENET bug was on the cutting edge of computer science, developed by the OS Army's Cyber Command, and was similar to STUXNET. FIRENET had the ability to copy itself into different files on one's computer, evading most anti-virus software and was undetectable through conventional virus scanners and required an entire server shutdown to destroy, which would hopefully, as the FIRENET programmers intended, to destroy thousands of terabytes of data that a server shutdown resulted in. Not only was FIRENET a piece of spyware, it was also an extremely potent weapon, which could crash computers and servers, as well as lock drone operators out of their terminals and take control of the drones in questions.

Caves

Postby Vancon » Sun Jun 01, 2014 10:32 pm

Upon hearing the call of war that his fellow lieutenant said, Taras immediately told his platoon to exit with all due haste. They ran like antelopes being chased by a predator straight out of the cave. Not everyone wade it out though. A-Platoon was now down about half of it's force, mainly from deaths but there were a few wounded soldiers. As soon as they left the cave, Taras went up to Gaspare and gave him the go-ahead to fire into the dark cave.

Against the night sky, bright lights screamed across the jungle and into sudden darkness, illuminating that darkness with fire and death. The cave's entrance caved in and in turn quiet retuned to the island. But only for a moment. The soldiers of A and C Platoons could see a trio of burning geysers shot out of the ground. This meant that there were more entrances then they knew about. Not sure about what to do now, both lieutenants looked into the night sky as rain began to fall again, putting out the small fires that had just been caused.

NIA Headquaters, Fairford

"Sir, the RQ-4 Global Hawk has a possible location of Senior Padnaki VIPs in a convoy." Said the drone operator.
"Put it on the screen."
"Yes, sir. Heading north on a dirt road north of Morhovza."
The large TV screen began showing a video of a group of vehicles moving on a dirt road towards a the entrance to what appeared to be a bunker.
"What assets do we have in the area?"
"None, sir. We can take control of an Emmerian QA-10 in the area."
"Do it."
"Yes, sir."
The second drone operator entered a code into the console and seized control of the Emmerian drone through FIRENET.
"Let's see what do we have here. JDAMs, AGM-65s, AIM-9 Sidewinders, and the 30mm."
He said as he banked the drone away from its current heading.
"Sir, I will be on station is half a minute."
"Okay. Fielding, how long until they reach that compound."
"30 minutes sir."
"Open up on them."
"Yes, sir. Starting off with the AGMs."
The QA-10 released a AGM-65 on the lead vehicle in the convoy, stopping the convoy. Then, the QA-10 rolled in for a gun run of the stopped convoy, ripping through the SUVs with a hail of 30mm.

A QA-10 drone was firing at Padnaki vehicle, ripping the street with its 30 mm cannon. Emmerians responses immediately by activating their anti-air systems missile fires their missile and guns at the drones, obliterating it from the skies. Admiral Forge was shocked to received news that a QA-10 drone was firing at the Padnaki vehicle, as of result, he figured out that no Emmerians would never target any civilians. Unless, the drones were hacked.

Admiral Forge:WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPEN!!
Battle Captain: I DONT KNOW, A AIR FORCE QA-10 fires it's cannon at the city. our ground units have already take care of it.
Admiral Forge: The Air Forces have made them strictly under our control, there no way they can't lose control unless.......
Battle Captain: unless what sir?
Admiral Forge: unless, Somehow, the O.S. has hacked into our satellite to gain access to our drone fleets. WE Need to inform the Hexagon, tell Emmerian Central Command to shutdown all the drone supporting networks to manual override, if not, then tell them to cut off all drone system servers from us, NOW!!!!

The Battle captain tells Central Command to reroute the drones to manual override, separating them from the main server of the drone network but if failed, then they'll be forced to shut down any servers linking the drones to the main central command.

Admiral Forge feared that this would happen, their own weapons being turned against them. He was ticked that the OS would be able to hack into their satellite to gain access to the drones. Knowing that in order to gain access to the drones, the OS would need to hack a satellite connecting to several drone fleets, linking them to their transmitting spot. As of result, their signals are being traced back to their positions.

CYBCOM, Fairford

"Sir, Shall I hit the Emmerians with the kill order?"
"NOW! KILL THE SERVER SOURCE."
"Yes, Sir. Entering the kill order now. DDOS of all networks in 4..3..2..1.. Kill order on my mark, 1,2,3. Launching Crash Order."
The kill order was a widespread bug and crashes enemy servers, it would attack every computer attached to the group of affected servers and the sharing would spread, and spread, though email. Email, was particularly exploitable, the bug would be attached to an advertisement on email and social media sites, and if clicked, would spread the virus to the server that computer was operating on. This could, in theory, create mass havoc and destroy the enemies of the Organized States from the inside out. The bug contained a advertisement generator, that allowed it to pose as everything from email advertiser spam to smart phone and food store ads. The servers targeted with infection were mainly that of cellphone towers, internet providers, military computer systems, and power generators particularly nuclear ones, in the hope to cause meltdowns by crashing vital computer systems. Their greatest achievement, would hopefully become their worst nightmare.

Vandenborg AFB

"Odin flight, cleared for launch."
"Roger tower, Odin flight launching."
Odin flight, this time a group of 4 F-15 Silent Eagles (A heavily modified version of the F-15E with internal bays and stealth coatings), was carrying another set of ASM-135s, was to target the remainder of Emmerian satellites, this time the Spy Satellite, Peeper 4, and the Communications satellite, Communicacion.
"Someone is not getting their satellite T.V. tonight. Hehe."
"Shut it Odin 4. We are nearly on target."
"Yes, sir."
"Odin 1, 4 ASM-135s away."
"Roger Odin lead. Reading good hits on Peeper 4."
"Odin 2, 4 ASM-135s away."
"Roger Odin 2. Reading more good hits on Peeper 4."
"Odin 3, 4 ASM-135s away."
"Roger, Odin 3. Good hits on Communcacion."
"Odin 4, 4 ASM-135s away."
"Roger, Odin 4. Someone's not getting their internet tonight."
"Odin flight, returning to base."

On the desk of President Ellsworth,
Executive Order 54356
Authorization For Use of Force

By the order of NATIONAL COMMAND AUTHORITY,
All satellites launched by the Republic of the Emmerian Union will be considered hostile, military satellites and will be destroyed within short order of its launch. This order also allows for the destruction of remaining enemy satellites, particularly those providing support to the drone networks, which will greatly hinder Emmerian abilities to strike targets and gather intelligence. This order also overwrites the conventional procedures for the sale of arms to the nations of, Congrevopia, DEN, and Vancon. Defense Contractors will now be allowed to sell the following to all of the nations listed,
DEMON 80 rocket pods
Mk.89 Cluster bombs
Napalm
AGM-100 HARMs
AIM-130 LRAAMs

"Saddle up!" The pilot of the Challenger carrying Roberts shouted over the engine roar. He had really spoken into the comms, which would both speak through the plane's speakers, as well as the soldiers', which would fix both problems. The men in the plane nodded, Roberts still sucking on the oxygen as one should, while waiting for the plane to stop. He jolted forward, feeling it slow down from supersonic to jump speed, and nodded to the crew in the cabin. As one, they removed the large oxygen tanks, and replaced it with a small oxygen tank without even taking a single breath, as they didn't want their nitrogen levels to rise.

Then the red light flashed on in the cabin, the main lights turning off so they seemed invisible in the dark sky. True, the plane's interior had no windows, but if the doors opened, anyone could spot them from up top. So in the dark they sat, the red light illuminating their Flashbang protective goggles, which showed their eye's reflection. Those people who said that the eyes were the window into the soul were right. They really were, and Roberts could see all manner of things in them. On his right, a man who was nervous, who was unsure of the fighting. To his left, a man who was tired, who was tired of war, of fighting, of death. But the one he would never see into clearly would be his own. For only at Death's door, does anyone know their own soul.

The light flashed green in the room, and the men stood up, weapons strapped to their sides, and hands gripping the metal above them tightly. Everyone in the room, spare a few, was nervous of the mission, and it almost showed. But they were trained in that their nervousness couldn't impair their abilities. Their fear, however, could, and almost none were ever immune to fear. When the green light turned to pitch black, Roberts closed his eyes, thinking of his family back home, and how he'd fight this for his wife.
The beatings will continue. Regardless of morale.

Hexagon, Equestria City
The O.S. cyber attack has crippled Emmeria's Control systems, energy resources, finance, telecommunications, transportation, and water facilities are seen as critical infrastructure targets during conflict. ECC are receiving major software crashes in the infrastructure sectors. To prevent further devastation, ECC isolates the unaffected areas of the networking sectors from the infected areas, reroutes all unaffected SCADA database software in the form of a hard-coded database password to a USB drive in a back up server, separated from the main server, and initiates "CASTOCS" to allow military networks to operate separately on their own, separating from the main network of operation. Homeland Security activates "CASTOCS" to allow civilan power plants to operate independently, allowing them to go "off-the-grid" and to allow civilian communications to go offline.

To make security timing, President Dailock was forced to pull out all of Emmerian troops from the Pacific region to help security reasons after the attack. As of result, thousands of gigabytes are damaged and the drone networks are all offline until the grid is back up. ECC and Homeland Security was forced to shutdown the network, cutting all services in the civilian factors and to go to

Once the withdrawal order is given, ECC mamanges to hack into a O.S. spy satellite orbiting around the region and uploads "DeuxNET", a hybrid malware cotaining components of Stuxnet, Duqu and Skywiper, that allows the automation of electromagnetically processes such as those used to control machinery on factory assembly lines, amusement rides, or centrifuges for separating nuclear material. The bug increases centrifuge failure rate over long time period via stealthily through the Linux Executables developed after Stuxnet using the Stuxnet source code that have been discovered to capture information such as keystrokes and system information, encrypting dummy files as containers to smuggle data to its command and control center that allowed it to pose as everything from email advertiser spam to smart phone and food store and infects mainly that of cellphone towers, internet providers, military computer systems, and power generators, knowing that it would transmit back intel with infected areas to the command center, hoping that this last attack would feel the wrath of what happens to Emmeria.

Morhovza
Battlegroups One and Two along with Task Force ALFA received words that the Homeland has been cyber-attacked and orders are that All Emmerians in deployments are to withdraw from conflicts to help preserve defense while Homeland Security and Emmerian Cyber Command help separate the affect areas from the unaffected areas. Due to the withdrawal order. Emmerian Army and Marine units was forced to abandoned the Padnaki troops defending the homeland, as of result, half of its defenses are cut, rendering them any means of defense.Whether or not they succeed or fail, the Emmerians have priorities back at the homeland, forcing the Padnaki country to defend themselves.

The Battlegroups move into formation <> adn heads northeast out to ensure the safety of Emmerian troops of the region to withdrawal. Before leaving, the Emmerians left Padnaki with better equipments and supplies to help them defend themselves.

"Sir, we have successfully defeated the Emmerian bug, and the centrifuges are back online, however the amusement park rides at 7 Flags are still down."
"Dammit, where are we going to go on the Command Retreat?"
The entire room broke out with laughter. As greensuiters temporarily stopped working, and listened.
"Sir, we could always go to Whimsey World."
"No, they screwed up the movie, Unfrozen... Now, Back to work people."
"Yes, sir."

The Tan House, Fairford

"Sir, DuexNET wasn't as nearly destructive as we had previously thought, however, they hit us hard in the manufacturing sector."
"How bad?"
"About 2% of the Domestically and Quebecadan produced oil and natural gas has been lost due to glitches in refineries."
"Dear God, that's 200,000 barrels. How badly has the stock market taken the hit?"
"Fairly well sir. Only down by 9 points instead of 100 or 200."
"That's good right now. How long will it take to defeat it?"
"About 13 hours."
"That's another 200,000 barrels!"
"Yes, sir. I suggest opening the Strategic Reserve to bring down the price of Gas and Av Gas."
"I will. Gas will undoubtedly rise and the stock market will take hits."
"Yes, sir."
Thank God for OS!- Deian
