Sierra de la Estrella conflict (WW2T, FanT, IC, OPEN)

Postby San Dionisio » Fri Apr 11, 2014 10:05 pm

(OOC here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=291787)

The militaristic right wing government had gone too far.
On the 15th February 1942, with the approval by the parliament that presidential term should be eliminated, the well-built resistance groups that were disperse by the island began their overthrowing mission.

On the 19th February, the Red Shirts, a communist armed faction conquered Urgel and now have possession over a quite large portion of national territory. The communist ideals arrived to the island with a well-known Basque, Juan Lertxundi, and soon were spread all over the working class. This new ideology yielded a tremendous ascension in the social ladder for intelligent, hard-working poor men. Through their work, talent and charisma, they created and presided to workers’ syndicates, contacting after with more extremist leftists. This dangerous yet inevitable union, under the oppressive atmosphere created by the regime of General Héctor Porfirio Somoza, proved to be explosive. Not only the Red Shirts are well equipped, but also count with a big number of small far-left guerrilla groups willing to help them.

In the vast lustful woods of San Dionisio, there were movements too. Apparently, a big group of mainly black and native people had formed a party. From 1936 to 1942, the self-called Olorun’s Army have controlled the forest areas and even took a city by the sea, San Salvador de Oyo. This was all accomplished due to the dissemination of their political message through religion. It is not by chance that the majority of Olorun’s Army is black and a considerable faction is constituted by natives. The African creeds, which arrived with the slaves, mixed with the local cults, creating an amazing religious movement in South America. And San Dionisio is no exception – La Regla de Olorun is the most predominant religion in the black and native communities.
It is said that their leaders are major figures on the religious plan and that they use shaman arts in their favour. Whether if this is true or not, it remains unclear, what is certain now is that they are a strong force.

Due to the current situation, the army is on the street. A night curfew has been settled and it is vigorously enforced by the authorities, that won’t think twice before shooting a by-passer. The Policía de Vigilancia y Defensa del Estado (PVDE) has been undergoing lots of night operations in the past days, entering people’s houses and capturing apparently innocent civilians, many of them to be never seen again. Most of the cities are packed with police, the force makes a good effort on being visible, in order to dissuade rebels. Their effectiveness is evident as well having dismantled some weapons traffic routes.
On the borders with occupied territories, the army has occasional skirmishes with the rebels, which are usually well under control, but it seems that progressing into the terrain is much more difficult than the government firstly thought.

Data on each faction’s main figures

Government:
Image

General Héctor Porfirio Somoza
A cold-hearted genious, Porfirio Somoza, El Cacique, achieved power when he was a 35 years old Lieutenant Colonel of the Army by overthrowing Protasio Scalabrini Ortiz, the former ruler of San Dionisio. Scalabrini Ortiz’ politics allowed world potencies to have wonderful businesses in the island without having any trouble, in exchange for protection. Protasio’s government was famous for throwing big luxurious parties while people would starve in the rural areas of the country. When the at the time Lieutenant Colonel Porfirio Somoza came to power, he promoted several reforms that improved the needy people’s lifestyle, but over the years, General has aged more paranoid and egocentric. Far from ever being modest, El Cacique now goes for walks near the Tajo River and all ministers and distinguish members of society are (usually) invited. In these walks, Porfirio Somoza divides his attention by some people, being the time he spends with each one of crucial importance and a reliable predictor of political and social rises and falls. It is not uncommon that during these walks, the General humiliates publicly one of the ministers.
His egocentric character drives him to be obsessive about details as well. From not standing lack of elegance from his troops to rethinking every strategic move he is about to do, Héctor Porfirio Somoza has always a plan b for every situation and his capacity of improvisation is outstanding and brilliantly effective.
Politically, he is a right wing militant. Despite a political opposition being outlawed since Scalabrini Ortiz time, El Cacique never re-established it. He is both the Head of Government and State, appointing every minister, so the country lives without any political freedom. Porfirio Somoza do not like people to get comfortable, so he is constantly promoting and demoting people from ministries and other important positions, playing his social puppet game that guarantees his absolute control over the Nation.

Ignacio Lanuit
Despite the General’s fondness for promoting and demoting people, Ignacio Lanuit, the director of PVDE, was never bothered since he got the job. This chubby morphine addicted black man is far from Porfirio Somoza’s taste for elegance, but his competence kept him on the place. Not an affectionate of the General’s social spectacle, Lanuit knew that he could not ever miss the palest of the details or his days were over. And he didn’t. Aware of the rebellions all over the island, the director of PVDE was able to contain the immense power of the Red Shirts on an initial stage, diminishing their control over national territory.
This strategic genius is a highly methodical agent, covering every detail with well-thought plans. His ability to think outside the box gave the Regime many victories in the political and military fields and his sense of loyalty is impressive. But what makes him a legend in San Dionisio is his cold cruelty. Unlike El Cacique, who is delighted with people acting civilized and educated near him, Ignacio Lanuit prefers the actual fear without any cover. His apparently lifeless eyes feast on enemies’ terror as his lips move the exact amount to produce a grin smile. He is often present when prisoners are tortured, taking pleasure in seeing and participating on the agonizing punishments he himself projected for the inmates. His ever present tranquillity keeps him comfortable and able to think accurately in any situation, having always the right answer under his tongue.
Despite his highly important situation, PVDE’s director chooses not to take any position in politics. He is loyal to the General and willing to follow any direction he orders.

Red Shirts

Norberto Espinoza Chao
Son of a prominent cardiac surgeon and a world-class anthropologist, Norberto was educated in the best schools of San Dionisio and studied architecture in the Architectural Association School in London. In the English capital, he became a good friend of the prominent trotskyist Jock Haston and had enjoyed for several times of the company of Yvan Craipeau. The former man introduced him to the Comintern prestigious member, Rajani Palme Dutt and the three of them had dinner several times with Christian Rakovsky, Soviet ambassador to London. After graduating, Espinoza Chao went to work in Paris. In here, his communist contacts led him to Henri Zisly, a French anarcho-naturalist. This unusual man gave Norberto some last insights, as he left France only two years after his arrival due to the social unrest in San Dionisio.
When he landed, he went to San Clemente where a large group of militia – the Red Shirts – were already waiting for him. Together, they started developing a wide and influential net of contacts, promoting the creation of syndicates through a three weeks national strike. Espinoza Chao was then arrested and tortured, but was able to escape from prison 9 months after his arrest. Hidden in small villages, he was able to double the size of the Communist apparatus in only three months and launch the Red Shirts’ attacks.

Clément Peñaloza
As a child, Peñaloza lived on the street. The oldest of his 7 brothers, his father died when he was 9 and his mother worked 18 hours a day, almost for free. Clément was arrested when he was 16 under the charges of robbery, theft and disrupting social order. The boy was sent to serve 5 years in jail, where he contacted for the first time with several political prisoners – mainly leftists –, who were mixed with the common criminals. During this time, Peñaloza read several books, from Sun Tzu’s The Art of War to Karl Marx’s The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Napoleon, assimilating every drop of knowledge and debating his ideas with the political prisoners. When his time was done, he started assembling old connexions from prison and a few new names given by the communist leaders in prison. After the group agreeing on calling back the prominent Norberto Espinoza Chao, who never lost contact with the communist movement in San Dionisio, more men were recruited and a propaganda machine start working.
Currently, Clément Peñaloza is Chao’s right arm.

Olorun’s Army

Babalawo Akande
Born to a black fisherman and a woman who died giving birth to him, Akande spent most of his childhood fishing with his father. Because the work demanded it, both of them travelled across San Dionisio, fishing and selling their work in markets of small black villages. On day, when Akande was 11, he was in the canoe fishing with his parent. Out of the blue and without any reason, a drunken policeman came and killed the man, allowing the kid to run away. When he arrived to the nearest village, the boy told his story to the local Iyalorixá, a priestess of La Regla de Olorun, who adopted him and taught him about the religion. In no time, Akande mastered the botanic, ritualistic and theological knowledge that the Iyalorishá had to offer him. In fact, the student was so gifted that he then moved to another Babalorishá’s (priest) terreiro (La Regla de Olorun’s temple). When Akande completed 42 years old, he was ordered Babalorishá and started his own terreiro. At this time, he had the first ideas on the union of La Regla de Olorun around a political position that demanded more respect for Nature and more solidarity towards people, among other religious-oriented claims. As time went by, he grew more important inside La Regla de Olorun, being ordered Babalawo, the highest priest rank in La Regla de Olorun. With his new position, it was easy for Akande to create a lobby group, the Ancestors Movement, which had the objective of pressuring the government towards more acceptance of traditional religions and native people. Because this movement was easily and almost unnoticeably crushed by the system apparatus, Babalawo Akende created the armed faction of the Ancestors Movement – Olorun’s Army.
It is also said that he is an exquisite shaman that regularly uses magic to achieve his goals.

Babalorishá Agénor
Not much is known about this man. He spent most of his life in his village, where his mother was an Iyalorishá. Having a deep interest in La Regla de Olorun since a child, it was easy for Agénor to learn every detail of the practice. However, when his mother died, instead of accepting her terreiro, the man decided to take a spiritual retreat and lived as a hermit for 5 years. When he came back, Agénor took his mother’s terreiro after being ordered Babalorishá. His deep knowledge about the religion and refined shamanic powers made his well-known and it was in a blink of an eye that Babalawo Akende heard about him and decided to pay the man a visit. The high priest stayed in Agénor’s terreiro for 3 weeks and, when he returned home, the Babalorishá was already an important member of the Ancestors Movement. With the realization that the lobby group was a failure, Agénor supported Akende in the claim that some more was needed to be done.

Octar Kahn sat in his throne to hear the international reports brought to him by his most loyal councillor
“Your Majesty, news for San Dionisio. The current president, General Hector Porfirio Somoza is under great contestation! Several forces took up arms to gain the control of the nation, including a communist party and another mysterious faction, led by a wizard…”
“A wizard you say?” questioned Octar “What kind of wizard?”
“I don’t know well my lord, it seems it is a black man, with slave origins, that mastered an ancient religion…”
“Is there a king? Was there a king? Why should we interfere?”
“Indeed Your Majesty, the island had a king before, who was deposed by traitors. In my humble opinion, you should contact the monarch’s family and give back what is theirs by divine right”
Octar Kahn took a sip of his wine and contemplated his old councillor’s dark eyes. “What is there for us to win?”
The councillor hesitated, but answered. “Loyalty Your Majesty. Divine favour by returning to the throne Tengri’s elected family. The omens are aligned, this is a good time for us to go to combat. The army craves traitor’s blood as well Your Majesty, please consider it.”
“Contact Dionisian Royal family. See what their opinion is.”
“Yes Your Majesty.” The councillor bowed in reverence and left the Royal Chamber. Octar Kahn stared at the see through the window and took another sip of wine. War time was coming, assuredly.

Dragon Federation of Lolloh
Tyunni was peering in interest at the newspaper before him. It was a copy of the New York Times, since a Stalinist coup the year before had put a dictatorial government in power, which had begun censoring everything. Of course, Tyunni and his fellow dragons refused to accept the Stalinist rule, and accepted anyone who didn't want to live under it. This was fairly easy, since the weak government stood no chance against the full force of Tyunni and his dragons. Now, he was reading with great interest the International Section. It wasn't much, just a tiny blurb, smooshed in between articles about US mobilization and the Eastern Front with Russia. The blurb reported that some right-wing nut in a country called San Dionisio was being challenged in a war by a Communist force and a nativist "Olurun Army." Tyunni thought that name sounded familiar. Anyways, they appeared the best. He made a note to threaten the Stalinist government with overthrow if they dared move to support any faction, then went to address the High Parliament, a group of 21 dragons assembled in a small hall who were waiting for him. Tyunni always read his papers before addressing the High Parliament.
"Greetings, fellow dragons! It is a great day, today, as you may have noticed. We've already been training more rebels and accepting thousands of refugees, while those Stalinists are struggling to get so much as a bullet from their dear Comrade in Moscow. I address this because I have recently learned that a nation called San Dionisio is rebelling, with a special Olurun Army that is appealing to me. I request that the High Parliament approve an intervention force of 3 dragons to first scout the area and then, if necessary, fight in our name for democracy and justice." The High Parliament's members nodded. It quickly went up for vote, and came back unanimous. 3 dragons dispatched to San Dionisio it would be.

Tyunni greeted the dragons in front of him. "Ragner, Terru, and Falshime, greetings all." They responded in unison. "And greetings in return, Leader of Us." Tyunni gave a curt nod of recognition. "Very well, you all know your orders and expectations. May I wish you the best of luck in your fight for justice and democracy, and all the luck from our Mother for it." The Mother in dragon mythology was the first dragon in the universe, which supposedly breathed the fire of life into the world." After some salutations and making sure they had enough food, the 3, with Falshime in the lead, took off for the unknown.

Making his way down the long, lavash hallways of the 'Polisse Du Belfroue,' his steps echoing among the carpeted floors and the painting covered walls, he opens the door to the Presidential Room.

"Madam, I have.... news." The adviser says. "There has been somewhat of a coup, or really a rebellion in San Dionisio. In fact two different factions are fight against the nation's government. As this is your first military issue as president, I do feel it should be presented to your first, but..."

"But what?" she says, turning from the tall windows of her office. "Do you believe I lack the military preparedness of former president Joubert?"

"No, It's just... well, I feel you should ask for the help of our top military staff for help, only since.... you're new to this, Madam.

"You have to understand, I do have have military readiness If I didn't, I wouldn't be in office."

"I understand, madam. Here are some reports on the military factions in the conflict, I'd suggest you..."

"We side with the government." She cuts in. "Prepare the General Staff for an overseas operation."

"But madam! You barely looked at the other military forces. Surely this can't be your final decision." The adviser blurts out.

"Oh but it is." she ays in reply. "Haven't you noticed? In the civil war of Akirii, we sided with the government. In the civil war of Parndia, we sided withe government. I'm not going to change this now. Go."

"Yes, madam." He says, as he pulls the office door closed. President Kyoshi slumps down in her chair. She had only been president for close to 2 full months, and in now facing her first military issue, with her as leading General. There was doubt among higher military leaders in Kyoshi, as well as doubt she had cast upon herself... but no. She would lead her nation into glory in this war. Yes, her country will not fail, she would not fail.

San Salvador de Oyo

Akande entered the terreiro. The approximately 880 sq. meters terrain had a big tree in the middle, a big white rustic house and several crops of different roots, trees, vegetables and bushes. Several men and women gathered leaves, watered plants and dug holes, while singing praises to Nature and to the Orishás. The Babalawo entered the house. Sat around in a circle, Babalorishás and Iyalorishás smoked big pipes of weed. A brownish greenish smoke filled the air and a strong lemonish and marijuana smell flooded the room. The priests and priestesses saluted Akande and one of them offered him his pipe, with which the high priest took a long deep drag with a smile.

The Babalawo then climbed the stairs to the second floor, to meet with his right hand, Babalorishá Agénor. The man was sitting on a wooden chair, contemplating San Salvador’s bay through his window and smoking the same pipe as the priests downstairs, but with a mintier smell. “Babalawo, welcome!”. “Babalorishá Agénor! It is a pleasure to be back.” The host stood up and walked to a closet. From there, he took a pipe and filled it with an herbal mixture, giving it and a box of matches to Akande.
“Thank you.” said the Babalawo, lighting his pipe. “I’ve talked with Lord Shango…”. Agénor stared at the guest while listened attentively to what he was saying “And do you have any news for me, Babalawo?” “Yes my friend”, the high priest answered, “Lord Shango is pleased with the help. Those dragens…” “Dragons”, corrected the Babalorishá, “Yes, yes, dragons. Those dragons should arrive soon.” Agénor smiled. “Kosi oba kan afi Olórun

San Salvador de Oyo
The journey had been long and exhausting, though Falshime, Ragner, and Tyjim had gotten a chance to rest several times, as well as some hunting, though the thick travel bags they carried were their main supplement. They'd gone over lands strange and odd, and Ragner was once again complaining about collapsing from exhaustion when they came upon a city, more like a town really. After consulting the map in mid-flight and bashing each other with their tails over whether this was the right one or not, Falshime, who was leading the trio, got the better of Ragner and Tyjim; they would land in this small town by the sea.

They came in low, so that the townspeople could see them. They'd probably go nuts and attack if they were enemies, giving them plenty of time to back out and find another route to help the Olorun Army. The sea-spray was getting into their scales, and all three were getting irratated and uncomfortable as they passed over the town.

It was a nice fishing village, though dusty, a fact proven by the great clouds of dirt thrown up as Falshime and his companions flew in low, skimming over the rooftops. People below panicked or watched in awe as they continued flying, before Falshime finally saw a place where they could land; a nice, open clearing, relatively green, was just ahead. Falshime made a steep bank to the left, followed by the other two, then made a full, leisurely circle before coming in for a smooth landing. His companions were equally good at landing.

San Salvador de Oyo

Babalawo Akande ran to the field when he heard the news. When he arrived, the most awe-inspiring vision penetrated his eyes. Three huge winged lizards, with scales like shields and teeth like swords were standing right in front of him. “Kawó-Kabiesilé” the high priest said, looking at the dragons and still in amazement. “But I am still confused, Babalorishá. Tell me, no one came with them? Do they know how to speak men’s language?” “No one came, Babalawo, I can assure you. If they speak, I don’t know, I’ve never seen these creatures before…”

Akande took a careful step closer to the dragons. “Welcome my friends. My name is Akande, I am the leader of Olorun’s Army. Please, is there anything we can do to make you comfortable?”

San Salvador
Falshime had been a studious dragon, preferring reading volume after volume of text to slashing an opponent, though he'd joined the army for some adventure. It appeared to be paying off. The of San Dionisio was officially Spanish, so Falshime tried that, first. "I am glad to meet you. Sir Akande of Olurun. We truly do not have anything else to make us comfortable. We'll be hunting until you need our assistance. Just send up a flare and we'll arrive within a few minutes." Falshime waited a few seconds for it to process, then took a deep bow before stretching out and slamming down on his haunches. Ragner and Tyjim did likewise. Ragner, the only female on the trip, looked playfully at Ragner, who, spitting out some bright-red fire (the dragon equivalent of blushing) turned away while inconspicuously sweeping his tail back and forth. The two had had some romance back home, and being 2 of only 3 dragons in a jungle made relationships only closer. The jungle wouldn't be used just for hunting, at that point.

Babalawo Akande smiled in surprise of the dragon’s fluency in Spanish. “I am no sir, Mr. dragen, and of Olorun we all are, please, you may call me Babalawo or Akande.” The high priest bowed delicately. “My friend here, the second-in-arms goes by the name of Agénor. Babalorishá Agénor.” The referred man stepped closer and bowed in the same way, repeating the Kawó-Kabiesilé salutation used before by Akande.
“We will tell you when it is time for battle.” the Babalawo continued, “Just please, try to stay in the forest and not in sight of men. We don’t know who our enemies might be.”

Falshime nodded. "Very well, Mr. Akande. We will do as you wish." Once again bowing low, Falshime spread his wings and began to take off, followed by Ragner and Tyjim, whose bellies were already grumbling in anticipation of a bountiful meal.

"We're nearing the landing strip. Everyone, please strap down your equipment, tank engineers, please secure the Somua S-35s." the pilot orders over the jet's loudspeaker. It had been a long, 9 hour flight, from the southern Besanconin base of La Fiettye. At least 15,000 soldiers and 200 tanks, and roughly 325 anti-aircraft guns had to be flown in among a fleet of 21 transport warplanes. The Plan was to meet up with government forces, and go on any positions that needed to be upheld. News of strange creatures and enemies that would be on the battlefield had come up, but no one really took them seriously.

"Prepare, for landing." the pilot said, just as the heavy jolt of touching down gave a kick. The troops held tight as they waited to get of the plane. They already had their equipment with them personally, so once they got off, they'd be prepared for war.

Gunderic Hasdingi arrived at Cabo Garifunda at the beginning of the afternoon. Wearing his white shirt, beige suit with a black tie, brown and black Oxford shoes and fedora hat, he walked through the boardwalk with his cane and smoking his pipe. He looked in the crowd for someone to take him to see the king

Unloading into a closely knit formation, the 15,000 troops, 200 Samua S-35 tanks, 10 artillery pieces, and 325 anti-aircraft guns line up, in preparation for the military leader(s) of the government forces in the area. Standing in front of his men, field commander Caendoux, in full ceremonial dress, was nervous, yet prepared to greet the government leaders.

Santa Guadalupe de Yanaca

“Clear the runway!” Air Marshal Ochoa de Nigris shouted to the men as waited for the arrival of new reinforcements, sent by a friendly regime, somewhere. “Men, align and stand by”.
The Air Marshal advanced towards the foreign troops, saluted and addressed to the most graduated officer “You must be commander Caendoux, welcome sir, my name is Air Marshal Ochoa de Nigris. We have been eagerly expecting your arrival. Please, follow me to my office while your men set in, we have much to discuss.”

Cabo Garifunda

A man waved at Gunderic Hasdingi. “Mr. Hasdingi, my name is Huáscar Atop, I will take you to the king. Please, come.”
Both men walked through a multitude of almost exclusively indigenous people performing hard labour until they reached a black Alvis Speed 25 and entered.

Atop drove both of them to a very big square-shaped pinkish house, with five sets of windows with white outlines, a big balcony in the centre, dark blue roof, two chimneys and a white tower top coming from the middle of the roof. The king’s palace was surrounded by a great property, a garden of strong colours and smells. Huáscar Atop stepped out of the vehicle and opened the door to Hasdingi. “Right this way sir”.
They crossed the garden, passing by a white fountain, and the indian man opened the big white door. The inside was all made of wood, a bright reddish wood. Both of them climbed two sets of stairs and entered in the king’s office.

The place had a great square window on the front wall, four wooden and Pakistan green chaise longues separated by a cocobolo rectangular large teapoy. On the right was a paduak bookcase and near the window was a wengewood cellaret containing about 10 crystal Bordeaux glasses and some bottles of red, port and Madeira wine. On the top of the teapoy, there were five crystal bottles containing different types of honey, a wooden and silver sugar bowl, an ebony and platinum tea caddy lined with cashmere wool, a wooden samovar, two silver tea infusers and two wooden teacups made of half a coconut and embellished with silver filigree, having each cup one ivory spoon rested by its side.

Tipocal Ozcollo, a tall strong man with tanned indian skin, black hair and eyes, was sitting on one of the chaise longues and smoking a big pipe with red feathers hanging. He stood up when both man entered. “Mr. Hasdingi, I was eager to meet you! Please, take a sit, I hope you like tea, I must say I am rather curious to hear what you have to say. I hope you like tea” Ozcollo said, with a smile.

"Préeont, air marshal. It is a honor to meet you as well." Caendoux replies as he sits down. "Our troops are prepared to fight in most any setting, so you can send they wherever they are needed. Our medium Samua S-35s however will need proper placement, as they are only tanks, and would get bogged down in any bad conditions. On the anti-aircraft placements, they can be used in support of either faction. Now before we can deploy of course, lets hear a bit about the current situation on the front, if you would, sir." the commander finished. It was hot, and with his ceremonial uniform on, it wasn't getting any cooler. He wipes his brow as he takes of his Képi. "Is there anything to drink?" he asked. He was not used to such warm climates.

Santa Guadalupe de Yanaca

“Yes, of course, follow me please” Ochoa de Nigris led the commander through a chaotic human mass to his office.

The simple room had white walls, a big wooden square shaped table with a simple silver lamp and several papers, four wooden chair and, against the right wall, a wooden minibar containing several bottles and glasses of different shapes. Behind the table, there was a small round window and on the left wall a picture of General Héctor Porfirio Somoza and a flag of San Dionisio.

“Please, take a seat” offered de Nigris. “Can I offer you some wine?”
Suddenly, someone knocked at the door. “Come in” ordered the air marshal. A skinny and short black man with yellowish eyes and a big scar on his left cheek opened the door
“Air Marshall, are we ready to start?” “Chief Supervisor, yes, we were waiting for you. This is Commander Préeont Caendoux of the New Besanconian corps.” The newcomer stretched his hand to the foreigner. “Commander, my name is Maynor Izaguirre, I am Chief Supervisor of the Policía de Vigilancia y Defensa del Estado.” The man took a seat and received a glass of wine. “As you can see in the map, gentlemen, the communists control several cities in the western part of the island. Despite Urgel being where they have their headquarters, the Redshirts power is greater at Sierra de la Estrella, which is, Préeont, a mountain range. Our air force have been bombing the place, but without success. Apparently, the enemy has a net of tunnels and caves where they take refuge during our raids. They set up anti-aircraft guns as well, so our scouts cannot provide us more information. My suggestion, gentlemen, is to march on Vanegua to cut part of their supply net. After, we would conquer San Salomón de Auaké and San Ysidro, moving like tweezers to finally crush the resistant communists in the mountains.” Izaguirre smiled “Any suggestions?”

"Well," Caendoux finally speaks up "perhaps, since the operation has not been successful by air, maybe we should take to the group. I have at least 15,000 soldiers on standby, so we could just flush them out. We can use an artillery barrage first and then send my troops up to get them. I don't think the tanks would be very much help thought." he finishes up, taking a sip of wine. "Oh, thank you for the drink."

Maynor Izaguirre lifted his eyebrows and closed hi lips in a smile. “We tried that already. Before starting with the raids, we sent men to clear the mountain. We stood no chance. The Redshirts know their place like the palm of their hands, they use a very unorthodox warfare, Guerrilla they call it. Based on Lenin, Mao Zedong and Sun Tzu, the communist leaders developed this system that appears to be almost invincible when they know the terrain. Based on the data gathered by the PVDE, Préeont, it is my opinion that cut their supplies will greatly accelerate the degradation of Redshirt’s well-built structure.” The Chief Supervisor took a sip of his wine. “Mmm amazing, air marshal”

"Hmm, that's no good, is it...." Caendoux says, falling back in his chair. "You know, why do we have to push them out of Sierra de la Estrella? Can't we attack else where? Perhaps.... Urgel? I think we should conduct an amphibious assault just south of Urgel. Maybe?" he finishes, a bit nervously, after a failed proposal.
