The morning was February the 28th, 2014. The sun was shining. Everyone was going along their busy day, when suddenly,a bomb went off in The Hague.The same morning, Halil Scholten, a known Right-Winged terrorist, as well as the de-facto leader of the "Nationalistische Partij van Vlaanderen-Holland" (NPVH), imprisoned for life for the 2006 Brugge attacks, escaped from his prison in Groningen, with the help of around 15 of his comrades. Meanwhile, around 70 000 of the Army has Mutinied, and declared absolute dedication towards the NPVH. Most of these mutinies are around the states of Gelre and Luxembourg. Jerrel Smedes then sent men to raid a News Station in Eindhoven, where he would send news to all of the world, that the Flemish-Hollander Civil War has begun. More and more fascists delcare support, although support for the Democracy still remains. Even the NAF-NCA, the biggest alliance of Trade Unions, and a big symbol of Socialism, declares support for the Republic.

Meanwhile, rich noblemen decide to revolt against the Republic, and ask the NPVH for help. But, the Rich Noblemen don't want a dictatorship, they want the restoration of the Van Vlaanderen dynasty on the throne. Willem Van Vlaanderen, current pretender to the defunct Kingdom of Flanders-Holland, had a speech, reacting with a surprisingly negative light towards the Fascists and the Ouden (Monarchists).

To my reaction of these Fascists helping these monarchs, who want me on the throne? I will not follow the tyranny of my ancestors! I will not stand for Flemish-Hollanders fighting against eachother! The Fascists are forcing us to fight against each other! Is that what you want? To destroy over one thousand years of Flemish-Hollander existance? From now on, I now resign my position as current pretender to the Kingdom of Flanders-Holland, and officially declare my support, for the Republicans! I don't even care if these "Socialists" are helping. It's time for the House Van Vlaanderen to evolve!

With Willem's support of the Republic, Monarchists became outraged, and soon, Willem's brother Otto Van Vlaanderen declared that he is now the new Pretender to the Flemish-Hollander Throne, as well as his complete support of the Fascists and the Ouden.

In the absence of a Navy, Vivoe instead spends huge amounts of time and effort in the field of advanced technology giving them massive advantages in aerial combat and the destruction of naval craft.

If you are still concerned about the survival of the current Republic then the senate will initiate the mobilization of nation defence units to assist the expeditionary forces bringing the total force deployed up to 25,000. The first wave of already accepted units will arrive within 24 hours, the additional forces, should you choose to accept them, will arrive between 12-48 hours after that.

Fighter aircraft will begin to enforce a no-fly zone above the fascist claimed land and shoot down any aircraft that do not respond correctly to Identification Friend or Foe interrogations.

At the dawn of March the 1st, a fleet of transport ships arrived seven miles off of the coat of the Republic of Flanders-Holland. The ground forces that will eventually invade the mainland are commanded by Colonel Javier Saldivar. Only a single day until the 9th Brigade of the 1st Infantry Division is either flown or shipped to the northern-most region of Flanders-Holland.

On the EMS Noriega, one of the twelve Aubretia class transports, Colonel Javier Saldivar, a fifty-two year old Caucasian man with black and gray hair writes in his journal about the plan of attack the next morning.

"Despite being recently promoted only three months ago from lieutenant-colonel, I feel somewhat unsure about why I was selected to lead this campaign. But if the Minister of the Army feels that I am ready, then I must not doubt my own ability. I understand that I have been given full command over this mission, but Major General Jose Duenas has ordered me to inform him of troop movements or casualties over five hundred. This do not question at all. His guidance will prove useful if things take a turn for the worse. This campaign may be risky, but I know that the righteous cause of fascist revolution can only prevail with our help."

In the galley on the third deck, Sergeant Felipe Montez, a twenty-one year old hispanic man with slicked black hair is eating breakfast with several of his platoon members at a metal table. Simon Camargo, a good friend of Felipe, is sitting directly across from him.

"Do you think that the fighting will last long?" Asked Simon.
"Maybe" says Felipe. "The Republicans have a large army, but no heart. It'll be like all the others. Our planes will go in destroy the supply lines, the buildings, and artillery. Then we rush in with tanks and air support and take over the cities. Same thing that happened to Achekistan."

"Hmpff. I hope we're home soon. I just got an email saying that I was accepted to the University of Ruente. I'm going to major in law or political science. I want to go into politics after my two years of service are up." Said Simon, pouring more salt into his powdered eggs.

Unlike Simon, Felipe was a soldier at heart. He joined when he was eighteen. After his two years of compulsory service were up, re-enlisted, and was promoted to the rank of sergeant for his superb leading skills.

In a matter of hours, dozens of helicopters and fighter bombers will secure the republican region that is just north of the farthest fascist-controlled region. Elmernan forces would then head south and east to back up the NPVH, and capture an important seaside area.

I didn't even see that rules post, I don't know how I managed that but it has been fixed, sorry.

25, 000 men will be sent instead of the actual capabilities of Vivoe as according to the factbook and the build that Vivoe is based off, a militaristic free nation. Anyway, the majority of forces being sent over are fighter jets, the AD111 and AD113 (check factbook) which can engage and destroy enemy aircraft effectively at beyond visual range thanks to powerful radar and missile systems.

These stealth aircraft will by augmented by the Coast Defence's anti ship weapons to defend your nation. Infantry units will be deployed to the battle front while special forces go behind enemy lines to direct artillery, air strikes and recon for the main forces. The war will be over soon.

Meanwhile, Fascist troops march on into Leeuwarden, a city controlled by the joint forces of professional Republican Soldiers, and militia of the NAF-NCA. The Battle of Leeuwarden starts with an above aerial battle above, with inconclusive results, and still ongoing. Soon, the south of the city was controlled by Fascist Forces, while the North was controlled by Republican Forces. FHS Griffioen, a Destroyer, as well as FHS Utrecht, a Submarine, as well as 4 more ships intersected with an enemy fleet. After a few minutes, the navy opened fire onto the Elmerna Fleet.

Vivoean troops, seeing an opportunity to flank and destroy the enemy with violent speed deployed the 33rd Airborne and 15th Armoured Division to make an airborne assault into the south of Leeuwarden and seize the rear support sections of the fascist forces. almost all the Vivoean air units are mobilized for this task, the air force seizing the skies in the night and the assault starting right before dawn, to land in the cover of darkness and make war in light. The airborne units dropped a safe distance from anti-aircraft weapons and set up defensive positions until an hour later when the 15th Armoured arrived on the ground and they pushed forwards.

catching the fascists in the rear Vivoean forces, while locally outnumbered, managed to take out lightly defended supply bases, supply lines and anti-aircraft weapons. Reeling from the attack fascist forces prepare a second attack to strike deep into the Vivoean lines and route them from the field.

Meanwhile coastal defence units move their anti-ship weapons into deep sea ports and harbors, the only regions in which heavy ships can land to unload large amounts of supplies or forces.

OOC: I don't have a problem with it but remember the US Nimitz class aircraft carrier can have more than 5000 people on board during normal operations so take that number into account with your total force. Also remember that the Nimitz super carrier (much larger than the one you pictured) can carry a max of 90-100 aircraft at once and only a third or so are going to be fighter aircraft.

In response to the proclamation of civil war in Flanders-Holland, Generallisimo Esteban Arellano has decided to give a speech in front of the National Assembly. The General slowly walked up to the podium, a dozen cameras trained on his every movement. Arellano took a set of notecards out of his jacket pocket, and laid them on the podium.

"My fellow Elmernans! Today, I announce that the Fascist State of Elmerna has sided with the Nationalistische Partij van Vlaanderen-Holland, also called the NPVH, in its righteous struggle of fascist revolution! We will assist those who proclaim conservative views, and support the rights of religious persons in the world. The disgusting socialist government of Flanders-Holland must be destroyed. Any government that supports secularism, and the destruction of Christian culture, is an enemy of Elmerna. Thank you, and God bless Elmerna! Arriba Elmerna!"

General-Major Aslanbek observed his small force. He had only brought 50 men with him from the base that had been set up for the Ryrgistani forces outside the town of Zwolle. Ahead of him he could see the Afsluitdijk Bridge which crossed the Waddenzee. It was vital for getting supplies to the Republic controlled areas in the north of the country which were sandwiched between the NPVH and the North Sea. Aslanbek watched as a a couple of lights drove along the bridge. Any moment now they would hear the low droning of the Tu-22M which was destined to bomb the bridge. He waited for 5 more minutes before rounding up his men to tell them they would have to turn back. But just as he stood up he heard the low rumbling of the bomber. With lights off it was almost impossible to make it out against the dark sky. Then 3 huge explosions lit the horizon as the bombs detonated on and around the bridge. The vital supply route had been broken. A telegram was sent straight to Zwolle and to Tashkent, back in Ryrgistan, where the esteemed General Ryan would announce to the public that Ryrgistan was at war once again. Aslanbek rounded his men up and the quickly drove back to Zwolle. For when Aslanbek arrived, he would be taking 7,000 men and 30 T-90 tanks north to capture the now vulnerable city of Groningen. With the capture of Groningen the Elmeran forces should have a safe and secure area to land, should they be able to approach the coastline safely.

Radio chatter went crazy almost right on 2:10 AM as Wing Commander Chomsky strolled back and forth between the different radar and radio departments on the airbase in very northern tip of Holland. "Radar contact, angels high, target not responding to IFF." one radio operator was speaking into his microphone, "Flight Enfield 1-1, enemy contact bearing 216 for 230, angels high. Break off patrol and destroy target Zulu 1-1." Chomsky lent over and looked at the screen, a single red dot moving slowly over the map of the surrounding area, above and below were names, stats and numbers for identifying the speed, altitude and direction of the target. One stood out to him, 'Tu-22M'. Radars could identify echo patterns of specific aircraft at very long ranges but that wasn't what surprised him, it was the fact that the rebels had only what the government had given them which was all NATO or similar vehicles and weapons. This was a modern, high speed Russian tactical bomber, the only conclusion being someone else had joined the war.

Flight leader Captain Volk studied the touch screen instrument gauges in the cockpit, his night vision system illuminated a small amount of the ground below him but the cities below were all running on black out. "Enfield 1-1, enemy contact bearing 216 for 230, angels high. Break off patrol and destroy target Zulu 1-1." the radio noise startled him a bit. he hadn't slept in 36 hours.
"Roger that control, switching to bearing 216, engaging Zulu 1-1." Volk pulled the stick and turned the rudder, pushing the AD113 Heavy Fighter onto a new course. 230 kilometres away, high altitude, a single target. Sending a single aircraft out wasn't conventional tactics by any effective air force that he could think of, unless... no, it couldn't be that, it couldn't be nuclear. He kicked the speed up, pushing the plane into super cruise.

"Control, this is Enfield 1-1, Zulu 1-1 is changing its course." Volk said into the helmet-mic.
"Roger that Enfield, engage and destroy. No other contacts in the area." control said. He was a hundred and twenty kilometres out now, within his missile's range but Zulu 1-1 was travelling super sonic and a shot now would have a lower hit chance, he needed to come in line with it so the missile didn't have to move much. He waited a minute peering into the darkness through the aircraft's inbuilt night vision system then off in the distance a flash, his worst fear had come true unless... no... thank God. The flash had filled the incredibly sensitive night vision system but the actual flash had been very small, far from nuclear. He locked Zulu 1-1 up into his radar system, flicked the Master Arm switch from off to on and pressed gently on the launch button. The under belly missile rails opened up and a missile shot off the rails, accelerating to seven times the speed of sound in just a couple seconds, speeding off into the darkness ahead. Zulu 1-1 had turned around after the flash of light and was starting back towards enemy airspace but having only half the top speed of the pursuing fighters and a sixth the top speed of the missile it didn't last long. Far ahead Zulu 1-1 lit up in an explosion and plummeted back to earth in a ball of fire and smoke, not that Volk could see it very well being sixty kilometres away.

Wing Commander Chomsky was listening to the chatter intently, Enfield 1-1 had just shot down the Tu-22M. A good job sure but it had already done its damage, reports were coming in that a major bridge had been hit and completely destroyed inflicting a few injuries but luckily no one had been on it when the bomb hit. Another report came in that a nearby patrol had made contact with two platoons worth of foreign infantry. The patrol had stumbled onto them, shooting a few dead before taking heavy fire and retreating away with three wounded. That patrol was supposed to be defending the bridge against special forces attacks, what could they do against an airstrike? More importantly, how did they get past the air defence units set up further down the river towards enemy lines? These would be answered in time but he could smell a conspiracy.

Both the inner side towards the harbor and the outer side of Amsterdam were heavily defended by man portable Anti-Ship missiles that could hide, fire and relocate extremely easily. Chomsky's airbase just outside Emmeloord and the war was getting far too close for comfort, he would double the strikes against the enemy and increase air cover. No enemy aircraft were going to get close to this area again and with air superiority he knew the war would turn to the republic's favour very quickly.

Sadly the first Ryrgistani casualty of the war has taken place, but he died doing a great service to his country and to Flanders-Holland.

Aslanbek's forces were relatively unopposed except for a small gunfight. Aslanbek, worried about any more encounters in Groningen, sent Captain Yelk with a small dispatch around the town to secure an area of the coast to prepare it for an Elmernan landing. Aslanbek took the bulk of his army straight into the south of Groningen after bypassing Assen. When he entered there was no issues at all. As patrols spread around the town, shots were fired fro houses. Aslanbek saw that his route south back to Zwolle was cut, so he decided to prepare for a proper battle in Groningen, and put the proper Ryrgistani guerilla fighting skills to the test. In the ruins of a city. No aerial bombardment could be requested at risk of losing more planes. So Aslanbek ordered his tanks to fire at the houses and his men to burn anything that remained standing to flush the Republic fighters out of their hiding places.

In the early morning, Colonel Javier Saldivar stood on the bridge of the Noriega, looking south through a pair of binoculars. A slight fog had rolled through from the east, restricting visibility to only two or three miles in any direction.

"Impressive view, Captain Tapia." He said to the man on his right.
"It is indeed, Colonel. We'll be prepping the transport helicopters and planes at twenty-one-hundred-hours. The landing craft are all set."

The Captain excused himself and walked away to check an anomaly reported by the radioman. As Saldivar began to turn and head to his cabin, a small beeping noise from the radar display began to ping. The sailor manning the radar said in a calm voice.

"Captain, I count six unknown craft three miles at due south. The vessels are heading north at an average of twenty knots. Estimated arrival: fifteen minutes."

The captain immediately called up Rear Admiral Juan Peralta, the leader of the naval fleet for this campaign. The admiral is currently aboard the ENS Águila Negro, an Ayllon class aircraft carrier that is the flagship of the fleet. After some hurried shouting and explanations, the admiral's voice booms from each speaker on every ship.

"Attention! All hands to quarters! Enemy ships reaching our position in less than fifteen minutes! Pilots, to your aircraft. Captains, prepare ASM and AAM weapons!"

The sun had now risen over the horizon and had made traveling through the fields unseen very difficult. Eventually Captain Yelk decided to move his small group of men to travel on the road. However the road seemed to veer away from the coast making it impossible to prepare a landing area for the Elmernan landing. Half an hour later Yelk's scout informed him that the coast was right ahead of them, but it was a defended port. There was an unknown number of men, but they were all concentrated at the gate and along the water front. Yelk commanded his men to surround the port and attack the soldiers when they heard the tank fire. The T-90 was ordered to barge its way through the gate and kill the guards without damaging the port itself. 15 minutes later after a very quick and effective ambush, Yelk held the port. He ordered a telegram to be sent back to Zwolle, but restrained from contacting Aslanbek in case he had been captured. Now all that was left was to somehow inform the Elmernan fleet that the port of Eemshaven was controlled by Ryrgistan.

The Captain excused himself and walked away to check an anomaly reported by the radioman. As Saldivar began to turn and head to his cabin, a small beeping noise from the radar display began to ping. The sailor manning the radar said in a calm voice.

"Captain, I count six unknown craft three miles at due south. The vessels are heading north at an average of twenty knots. Estimated arrival: fifteen minutes."

The captain immediately called up Rear Admiral Juan Peralta, the leader of the naval fleet for this campaign. The admiral is currently aboard the ENS Águila Negro, an Ayllon class aircraft carrier that is the flagship of the fleet. After some hurried shouting and explanations, the admiral's voice booms from each speaker on every ship.

"Attention! All hands to quarters! Enemy ships reaching our position in less than fifteen minutes! Pilots, to your aircraft. Captains, prepare ASM and AAM weapons!"

March the 2nd, 2014. Sunday, 6:49 AM.

"Sir. It appears we have some enemy fleets up north. Should we attack?"

"Yes. We need to prevent this fleet from getting through. Get the people on FHS 1792, and FHS Revolution to launch their aircraft. (FHS 1792 and FHS Revolution are 2 Aircraft Carriers with the Republican Fleet.) Get all ships to ready all of their weapons, including Anti-Air and Anti-Submarine. Meanwhile. We must hold this position until the 2 Cruisers from The Hauge arrive, in around 30 Minutes. Understand?"

"Yes. I understand, sir."

Meanwhile, in Groningen:

The Republicans fight against Ryrgistani Soldiers, and Massive buckets of water are attached to some Republican Bombers, and Tank Reinforcements arrive to deal with Ryrgistani Tanks. 100 Troops and 6 Tanks then come in to try and take back Eemshaven, to recover any ships they could get. 5 Bombers and 5 Fighters also came in, to try and bomb down the people inside the port, to weaken them. 25 Soldiers, 5 of them Snipers, are sent onto a stealth mission, to try and assassinate Aslanbek. They have to get Republican Forces to trap Aslanbek, so Republican Soldiers from both sides of the south-east part of the city, both north and south, fight through Ryrgistani Soldiers, while Bombers bomb down Ryrgistani-controlled areas before they can get more AA Weapons to be set up.

Aslanbek looked around him. Everywhere he looked he saw a losing battle. He was not going to kid himself, he saw it, his officers saw it, even his men saw it. He realised that staying in Groningen was the wrong decision to make, and now he was paying the price. His family was going to pay the price for it as well at the hands of General Ryan. Overhead the Republican bombers were turning to go for an other round. That was it, he had to pull out. But the south was completely blocked off, he could only go north and hope to find Captain Yelk and his small force. Aslanbek called the retreat and his men began to pull out slowly, soldiers were climbing into tanks to hide from gunfire and the tanks continued to fire through the think screen of smoke caused by the burning city. Perhaps the Elmernan army had landed and would meet Aslanbek near the coast. But all he knew now was that in this state he was not able to fight and win a standing battle. He could request more men from Ryrgistan, but General Ryan would not allow that. Aslanbek would have to turn to more subtle, and stealthy tactics if he wanted to leave this war alive.

Captain Yelk was relieved once the ship pushed off from the docks. Somehow, from some low key deal General Ryan had made, Ryrgistan had built a navy, and had parts of it stationed near by. And it had been sent by Zwolle to help defend the port. They had to abandon the tank behind, but the formidable FAC had carried the men away to safety before firing back and attempting to make Eemshaven unusable. The first officer of the ship came to greet Yelk. "Sorry for such an abrupt meeting, but I have been asked to escort you and your men to safety. We will shortly be in contact with the NPVH." He walked back into the ship. Yelk wondered where this strange man was from. He certainly was not Ryrgistani, but he spoke the language flawlessly. Perhaps this wasnt a ship from Ryrgistan like they were told.
