Midgar,46566- The Central reserve agency has announced that the USS government will start using the Nedean Kredit as the nations major reserve currency. The reason for choosing the Nedean Kredit is due to the fact that there is lesser chance of conflicts between Nedea and the USS. This is due to Nedea's planetary location compared to the USS.While the Koihn Kopernik of the UTR was considered it was stuck down due to increased tension between the USS and the UTR.Also considered was the Ajerrin Ajer.

Midgar,46566- The USS has officially condemns Otundi Kogo's building of the wall without any mention of the plan to the USS.It is seen as a unneeded and unwanted increase in the hostilities between the communist forces and the loyalist forces. A few moments later the light graces the white mansion where President Johans Derrik resides. A large walled-off garden adorns the back of the manor. Striding up its chiseled granite steps is a man in a dark iron mask, a starry night simulated with gleaming diamonds adorns it. His deep navy robes also paint a picture of the night sky as simulated constellations ripple as he walks. The man pulls out a small silver pocket watch. Checking the time, he mutters to himself, “Damnit Daxarian. You are always far too early.” The ambassador continues up the steps, suddenly flanked by two Vvardenese body guards. They open the door for the ambassador as they reach it, staying outside as Daxarian steps inside. The parlor is a brilliant white, the ceiling decorated with a mural of a star ship sailing through the void. The name of the ship is printed on a plaque on part of the paneling, the “SSS Vvarden.” A small boy in what looks to be a school uniform plays with several models of spaceships. This must be Prince Telasero.
The ambassador stands there silent, watching the child play. It takes a few moments for the child to notice him. Standing up, the child giggles.
“Who are you? You look funny!” He giggles once more. “You look like stars!” Two guards walk into the room.
One guard responds to the question, “he is a very important man. Come; let us visit your mommy in the gardens.”
“Ambassador Oryn”, the other one says, “You are expected. Please, follow me.” The guard smiles as he gestures to the large double doors leading deeper into the mansion. The other guard goes over to the child, picking up several toys. The boy shyly points to one of them, a larger warship, and points to the ambassador. Grinning, the guard hands it to the ambassador. “He would like you to have this.” Accepting the model in one hand, the ambassador pulls out the silver pocket watch. He dangles it on the chain before placing it in the young Prince’s hand. The Prince giggles as he is ushered out the side door.
Walking down the beige hallway, the ambassador is shown to a large sitting room. A man with light suede hair stands as the ambassador walks in. Straightening his blood-red tie, the man extends his hand.
“Ambassador Oryn, a pleasure to finally meet you.”
Grasping the hand firmly, the ambassador replies, “And a pleasure to meet you as well, President Berrik.
“Please, call me Johans.”
“And you may call me Daxarian.”
“Well, Dax, welcome to Vvarden. I must apologize at all the troops within the city. North Vvarden is still a threat.”
Chuckling, the ambassador replies, “At least they have no more nuclear missiles.”
The President grimaces.
All the humour out of the air, the ambassador replies with a calm, almost uncaring voice, “They have more missiles, don’t they?”
The President looks around the room before nodding matter-of-factly.
“Pleasant. Simply pleasant”, the ambassador replies as he sits down in the chair opposite the President. The room is adorned with ancient sets of armor, archaic weaponry, and framed pieces of paper and parchment. All artifacts of bygone eras, of which the president’s grey suit is one. They give the ambassador a sense of nostalgia, he had always loved history. His mind goes off for a moment, thinking on ages past, only to be brought back by the president clearing his throat.
“So what is Caisus’s position on North Vvarden? Will you support us?”
“We have twelve tanks and two hundred men ready to assist.”
“Good, good. We will need all the assistance we can get.”
“Well, it would seem we have rather a lot of papers to go over today. Why don’t we get to it?”

Eastern Staedetler - This morning at 6 AM, the Mare Solis Navy 3rd Fleet launched a series of guided surface-to-surface missiles towards the wall & numerous communist outposts that was housing Staedetlerian communists. Fifteen minutes later, after the barrage, numerous Achaemenid Mk1 Heavy Power Armour suits filled through the gaps of the wall that was created by the MSN 3rd Fleet. Following them was an army of MBT-12 Crusader tanks & RC ATLASS Exoskeletons. Providing air support were dozens of HCMU-7 OmniChoppers. Thomas Reichart, leader of the Staedetlerian Loyalists, describes this whole situation as "the blitz'' as numerous armored units charge through the gaps of the wall & gun down the Staedetlerian communists. Above the armored horde are SZUK-56AWACS from the MSAF 1st ISR Wing, providing targets & forward reconnaissance for the armored blitz. Behind the armor units are loyalist infantry & Nedean mercenaries riding in AFV-20 Chariots, only slowing down to engage communists. The armored blitz has proven to be too much for the ill equipped communists, as hundreds of them are surrendering upon seeing these over-sized & imposing power armors, tanks, helicopters, & armored fighting vehicles.

When the armored horde reached a major communist base just an hour from the wall, dozens of communist fighters were already kneeling with their hands in the air. Some fought back and were dealt with immediately. Upon securing the base, an HCMU-7 OmniChopper landed near the prisoners and out came Thomas Reichart. The loyalist leader then enters the base's officer room and gathers intelligence from whats there. He finds a map of the locations of other major communist bases in Eastern Staedetler. He then orders everybody to mount their armored vehicles and continue on, while he orders demolition experts to blow up the numerous armaments in the base. Twenty minutes after leaving the communist base, HRAK-MAAMS64s arrive on their tail, and is to provide anti-aircraft capabilities if the loyalists encounter any enemy aircraft. The loyalists do not believe that the communists have any aircraft but will be prepared for anything the communists throw at them.

UTR Imposes Anti-Dumping Sanctions on Nedean Pony Imports

MARIA, ATHRETVARI — The UTR Federal Ministry of Foreign Commerce has imposed an anti-dumping duty of 49.8 percent on Nedean companies after they were found to have dumped pony products in the Athretvar, Wicko, and Anthropolian markets.

The anti-dumping duties on the pony-meat and pony by-product imports from Nedea will begin Saturday and last two years, the ministry’s governing Minister’s Council ruled on Friday.

Nedean ponies are considered delicacies in the UTR due to their sweet, candy-like taste.

The ministry's final ruling came four months after it launched anti-dumping investigations against such imports from Nedea after Harpantanian mustang-meat producers complained of cheap pony-meat and pony oil imports flooding UTR markets.

According to the ministry's investigations, pony related imports from Nedea have been dumped in the UTR markets and such imports have caused substantial damage to the Realm’s domestic industry.

West Staedetler - After watching Quanza Newrécurd's report of Solisian killing unarmed civilians in Staedetler, Thomas Reichart, who was watching in a room full of his officer gets up and starts laughing. "Hahaha, so anybody here a Solisian?". He then gets up and points to his officers, "Are you a Solisian? Are you a Solisian?". The whole room of officers starts laughing. "Maybe tomorrow the Communists will say that a whole army from Athretvari has teleported to Staedetler and committed genocide!". The whole room of officers once again starts laughing. "Hahaha, typical communists they have no idea whats coming to them". He then orders everybody to mount their armored vehicles and move out.

Two hours later, the armored horde has rolled through numerous towns. Stopping by each town to ask if they have seen any communist movement. Thirty minutes later, the Mare Solis Air Force 1st Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing (ISR), then reports in Communist movement. Thomas Reichart then tells his men to head for them. Thomas Reichart then orders a HCMU-7 OmniChopper to scout ahead. The chopper then reaches the Communist location. With a speaker phone hooked up to the chopper, a helicopter crew member orders everybody to surrender. Within seconds, the Communists surrender. Thomas Reichart then sends in AFV-20 Chariots full of Nedean mercenaries to meet them. At the end all of them surrendered. Another HCMU-7 OmniChopper arrives on the scene, and Thomas Reichart dismounts. He talks to the commanding officer, telling him his war is over, and asking for any additional intelligence. The officer then refuses to give any details and insults Reichart. Thomas Reichart then orders another chopper to pick up the prisoners and transport them to headquarters.

Marobar Sul walked his way through the cobbled streets filled with pedestrians, hand firmly gripped on his leather briefcase. He entered through a grand, redwood door and greeted himself to the sights within. The corridors were many, with portraits and tapestries decorating the walls and before long, with the help of some friendly Caisians and a small amount of luck, he found his way to Speaker Bright's office.
When he entered the room, he saw it had four chairs surrounding a coffee table, all leather, and a round coffee table which appears to be a game table. The room had a hardwood floor, engraved with a picture of a great ancient battle. He looked up. The ceiling was a mirror of the current sky above the parliamentary building, beautiful to the likes Marobar had never seen.
"Grand isn't it?" A voice sounded from the middle of the room.
Marobar looked down. A man was standing in the middle of the room wearing brilliantly made bright blue robes. He wore a plain, silver half mask on his face, covering the left.
"Speaker Bright, I presume?" Marobar dropped his suitcase and stretched out his hand to handshake.
"Yes." Speaker Bright said, and shook Marobar's hand. "You must be Ambassador Sul."

Marobar sat down on one of the chairs.

Hauptmann Darius Volker locked his Casper into the mounting beside his seat and unclipped himself from the drop harness which held him in his seat. His unit was to be one of the first to land on Enkon as part of the vanguard landings over Port Esper; many other nations and Empires landed troops in lightly defended areas with lots of space to touch down, but this was an Arcadian war to suppress a revolution and that meant making bold statements of supremacy. Volker's men looked nervous, some had already vomited into the mouthpieces which stopped the contents of their stomach from splashing all over the place; his unit was mostly made up of Junge, raw recruits who had never seen battle. For most of them it was their first combat drop and the ride was a lot rougher than what they were used to from training as the Commonwealth saturated the sky with flak, missiles and high energy fire.

Walking over to the view-port Volker looked outside to see to of their neighbouring landing crafts take direct hits and explode in spectacular fashion, sending thick, greasy clouds of fiery smoke in all directions and charred corpses fell from the wreckage. He wasn't scared, the sight of so many men dying all at once was of little concern, either he would die or he would live there was no point arguing over it and no point worrying since he could do nothing to change the course of events at this point. The craft shook violently as a flak shell exploded right next to it and Volker stepped away from the port and turned to his men; pulling the Grimoire Militanten out of its sleeve against his chest, he flicked it open and selected a page he'd bookmarked the day before while preparing his men for the drop.

"Brave warriors of Ilvenn, fear not for thy cause is righteous. Did not thy Gods birth and nourish this Reich that we may thrive and do their work? Did thy Gods not give of their blood that it may be founded and that thy enemies be vanquished?" He started to recite the passage from the Grimoire, the Holy Book of War and part of the Book of Ilvenn dedicated to soldiers. With his free hand he gripped the standing bar. "Let faith shield you, embolden you and guide your hand and should you fall know that your faith shall carry you proudly to the hereafter. Fear not for she is among you, fear not for the Gods shall cast their gaze upon you should you die and take your soul to a paradise beyond the ken of mortal minds, fear not because should you yet live then do so knowing that it is with the grace and love of the Gods themselves that you walk."

The craft shuddered violently and Volker placed the Grimoire back in the sheath upon his chest, reaching for his Casper he turned to face the exit door, hearing his men unclipping their harnesses behind him and getting into position. Finally after what seemed an eternity the craft thundered to a standstill and the door burst open; with a hand signal Volker lead his men out into the city, but made it two full steps before he was struck in the side of the face by a powerful impact; sent spinning to the ground with the right side of his face burning with incredible pain. His skin had started to melt and fall away and his was already gone; one of his men grabbing him and pulled him back into the landing craft.

Volker watched, being dragged backwards, as his men continued to rush out under the leadership of their squad leaders now, yet that all seemed useless as a hail of energy pulses cut them down, leaving nothing but smoking charred corpses. Their numbers thinned they started to pull back towards the Landing Craft when it took a direct hit from a DATD which was hidden in the ruins ahead of them somewhere; its starboard engine exploded rendering it utterly immobile.

Aufklarer Seburo confirmed the hit, Iuroh's shot had been spectacular even if it hadn't killed the Imperial officer outright. At this range even the Longmire should have struggled but Iuroh was a Scharfschütze of High Arcadian blood, his skills honed to the limits of human capability and then further augmented by cybernetics and bio-synthetic implants and he made it look easy. Oberjager Yukimo smiled gruffly as he carefully sighted the DATD which Janus and Peal were hastily preparing to fire; these Imperials were following textbook rebellion suppression tactics, tactics that the Commonwealth soldiers had been trained in themselves back when Promethius had been a mere colony. The damn fools were fighting as though they were dealing with an unruly mob of simple minded idealists, seemingly having forgotten that they had been trained for the same purpose by the same people.

Seburo started feeding the combat data into the tac-net, they were providing visual overwatch and precision fire for the main defence force in this sector so their reports and data was vital. Seburo didn't seem to mind that she wasn't doing any of the actually shooting, simply watching the action and recording the data seemed to be enough for her - Iuroh on the other hand was a woman with an insatiable thirst for the next carefully executed feat of precision marksmanship and was itching to fire at the next target that Seburo identified. Some might call it bloodlust but Yukimo knew better, Iuroh lived for the thrill of the perfect shot, the killed was incidental to her.

Having received target orders and sighting in the DATD Yukimo sent the tac-net warning of the shot out to nearby units; the noise, flash and concussive wave given off by the weapon which embodied brute force were so incredibly great that it could easily stun the unprepared. Having given the five second count down Yukimo pulled the trigger and followed the ultra-high speed projectile as it smashed through the landing craft's shielding and struck its starboard engine. With a casual signal to Janus and Peal he started sighting up the next target as they recalibrated and reset the weapon.

This is also a poor attempt to gain the media's sympathy when evidence shows that these communists did in fact have weapons as the article by Quanza Newrécurd was both bias and untruthful about their apparent pacifism which turned out to be false," replied the Chief Elder after multiple Elders had asked her to respond to this crisis.

We had no idea that these crimes against nature would be created after the country was unified. These "things" are not human, they have altered themselves to the point that I do not even know what to categorize them. This is both morally and ethically wrong by any standard. I now call for a full embargo of Unibearian goods and our previous pact to be severed. Unibearians are banned from New Toola and if found, will be killed on sight. A no-fly zone will be implemented as well as the trade agreement to be rendered void."

Some nations on Enkon believe they deserve rights that they don't have and it disgusts myself and the people of New Toola. While homosexuals do not have as many "rights" as other nations assume they must have in New Toola, this allowance was for all the wrong reasons. Unibearia has lifted this ban not to let these people live more freely but make allies and impress others. I am surprised that none of the more liberal nations have looked at this as sickening, as well as I am appalled that the reasoning for this was to make allies. Today New Toola and the GDC signed a mutual defense pact which strengthen ties with New Toola. The Foreign Ministry dispatched this report

The Governments of New Toola and the GDC have formally signed a defensive pact together. It contains the standard idea of equally defending each other against belligerents. It does not tie down the nations to having to defend one another if they are the belligerents. The more conservative leaning population of the GDC and New Toola have gotten along nicely with each other for many years. It is hoped that eventually the pact will become a full military alliance.

GDC Spaceport Alpha skeletal system
The GDC Spaceport Alpha has reached its “Skeletal” stage after a week of work. This stage is very simple and only a small fraction of the skeleton is actually complete. The last Cybran-Class shuttle left Enkon this morning carrying yet more materials for the Starport. A new carbon fiber metal is being used for the construction although many space faring nations have used it in the past. The Starport will still take months to complete, even though nearly 100 cosmonauts are working on it. The Starport itself will need to be close to a kilometer long and have the ability to house almost 400 people.

Hauptmann Volker had survived the energy wounds that had burnt off most of the skin from the right side of his face but he would be permanently scarred, even with the augmetics they were preparing to implant to restore vision to his right eye his face would never be the same. Shortly after the landing craft had been hit by the DATD the cavalry had arrived in the form of Praetorian tanks and heavily armoured Grenadier squads; fighting had been fierce but eventually the Commonwealth had been driven out of the ruined buildings that they had been defending. Volker of course had missed most of the fighting, having been evacuated to the Field CP which was also doubling up as a triage centre, but he had reviewed the tac-net reports as soon as the medics had finished bandaging his face.

The whole situation was FUBAR, the tac-net was on fire with false reports and missing information, entire sections of the battlefield were unresponsive and they had had to resort to manual communications through the comm-net on heavily encrypted channels. 'Of course,' thought Volker, 'they used the same tac-net and comm-net systems as us, of course they'd have found a way to use it against us.' The higher levels of command were starting to get edgy too, they'd realised their error and apparently Vogens was furious with Ground Commander Lykos for falling into the very traps he'd warned his own officers not to fall into.

Lykos' forces had however secured a safe LZ for reinforcements and formed a perimeter within the residential district of the city; the edges of the territory they control was still blurred as Commonwealth forces popped up seemingly out of nowhere, hit them hard and then melted back. According to the technical officers in Tactical the whole city was honeycombed with tunnels and bunkers and the Commonwealth troops were making full use of them; three hours ago they'd lost an entire Division without so much as a hint of how they'd died. The relief force had simply shown up to find the forward outpost plundered of valuable equipment and filled with charred corpses; Volker couldn't get over the fact that his own Company were out there under the command of a stand-in from another unit, but there was nothing he could do, he was Grade 3 wounded which meant that he could only participate in administrative and support operations until a medical officer signed him off. It was a bloody stupid system, there were so many officers like him among the walking wounded, who were sorely needed out on the front lines leading their men and who were instead stuck rear echelon hell - there combat effectiveness was suffering as a result.

To make matters worse only 25% of the city's StA/StO batteries had been taken out or captured, the so called 'precision' naval bombardment having done little to reduce the overall defensive capabilities of the Commonwealth forces in the area. Even saturation bombardment had done little against the well prepared and heavily shielded defensive positions, meaning that each one had to be captured on the ground, a time consuming and costly exercise against an enemy who refused to retreat. He'd been monitoring his own unit's actions and thankfully they were holding up relatively well, despite the heavy losses incurred when they had made landfall; so far they had mostly been deployed as a consolidating force, but had successfully defended a forward outpost from a concerted enemy attack - he had spoken with the acting CO who seemed to have a fairly good head on his shoulders, but still he longed to be back at the front.

As he stepped into the main command tent he noticed that Kommandant Rhiner was busily analysing the data on the large holomap of the city which was positioned in the centre of the tent; he noted with grim satisfaction that he was no longer displaying tac-net updates of troop positions and battlefield events on it and was instead relying on the data gather through direct communications instead. Even so things didn't look good; their perimeter had expanded rapidly once they'd formed a bridgehead, but now there were significant sections of the front lines where their advance was being halted and in some cases pushed back. In particular the docklands; one of the very first districts of the city to come under attack once the LZ had been secured and yet for all the manpower and materiel that was being poured into it the defenders simply refused to budge. Access to the docklands was vital as it gave them access to a port on the Urivian Sea from which to launch future attacks once the city was secured, but apparently their enemy had realised how important it was too. Every time a large assault force entered the district it was steadily picked apart by ambushes and hidden defence positions and every time the force was forced to retreat or face a slow grinding death.

"Hauptmann Volker." Kommandant Rhiner greeting him after noticing that the injured officer had been studying the situation report on the holomap. "So, what is your assessment?"

"Grim, Herr Kommandant." Volker replied standing smartly to attention, he saluted and Rhiner returned the gesture courteously, "Though the docklands are a vital objective it is clear that at this time they are not an objective we can realistically achieve. I would suggest sending troops to clear out the enemy strong point in the city centre, if only as a morale booster for our men and a symbol to the enemy. Who knows we may draw some of the defenders away from the docklands."

"A bold suggestion Hauptmann, but one which is in many ways similar to my own idea of how to proceed." The Kommandant started manipulating the holomap so that he could see the city centre more clearly with its big brusque city hall, the large central domed roof broken from the orbital bombardment it had withstood. "Though I would have targeted the Industrial District instead, though now that you mention it the City Centre is a greater propaganda victory; it would certainly satisfy Lykos and Vogens... Thank you for your input Hauptmann."

Volker stood at attention once more and saluted.

Yukimo watched through the DATD's sights as a squadron of Imperial Praetorian tanks made their way up South Central Avenue from the residential district; so far the major thrust of the Imperial forces, along with most of their armour, had been focused on the docklands, so the fact that they were now suddenly coming for the City Centre was somewhat surprising. Even as he watched he heard Seburo calling in her observations, dialing in data into the tac-net with the practiced ease of a well trained veteran. She had fought in New Andas, as had the rest of the truppe, a hard fight but ultimately a victorious one. They had broken their foe then, pushed them back into the north and set back their plans for dominance over Vvarden by months, maybe even years in one glorious battle. This fight was different though, in New Andas they had been fighting on foreign ground for a foreign ally, now they were fighting for themselves on their own territory.

Fortunately the nature of their role in the Army was one of great mobility, they hopped from position to position, striking at the enemy with deadly precision and power before withdrawing again, never giving the enemy the chance to pin them down. Otherwise he knew his squad would have been galled by the constant redeployment orders; they did not want to surrender an inch of their soil to the Imperial forces, but they all knew it was not their job to hold the soil, only to make the enemy pay for every step they took upon it.

A series of orders came through the tac-net and Yukimo hand signalled his truppe into action, setting up the reserve DATD as well as two LATWs. There were no flesh targets of Iuroh this time, so she set aside her Longmire and took up position as the trigger woman on the second DATD, carefully sighting it up as Ibanez and Klauser set up and calibrated the powerful weapon. The LATWs would fire first, their lighter payload would disrupt the shielding on the lead Praetroian allowing the two DATD shots to rip it apart completely. When all was ready Yukimo gave the go ahead for Seburo and Kamini to fire the LATWs; with a loud screech a pair of high powered rockets lanced off towards the lead Praetorian, impacting one after another causing the shield to overload in an impressive visual display of sparks and energy discharge. Then came the two DATD shots which shook the whole building around them; two heavy shells pounded through the air at incredible velocity before striking the tank dead centre. When the smoke cleared all that was left was the twisted and shattered rear of the tank, its engine exposed the entire front section and turret missing, disintegrated by the blast.

The Imperial response was swift, they had rapidly become good at figuring out where the Commonwealth shots were coming from and the two remaining Praetorians started to move, sighting up their main guns while the hull mounted gatling guns started to spin up. Yukimo knew his truppe didn't have time to reload and sight up for another shot, he gave the order to pack up and move - it would be a close run things so he called for covering air support. For most infantry squad leaders in this situation air support was not available on demand, especially with the skies still saturated with enemy craft, orbital bombardments and the fire from their own defence guns - Yukimo was leader a Jagertruppe though and these elite squads were valuable enough that air support was par for the course.

Within moments a flight of three VTOLs, two Wendigos and a Hydra, had peeled off from a nearby flight wing and started a strafing run on the two remaining Praetorian tanks; the three VTOLs were easily enough to quite literally shred the now ageing Praetorians. The technical superiority that the Commonwealth had rapidly developed and rolled out was starting to show. But as the squadron turned away Seburo reported to the tac-net that large numbers of enemy infantry with armoured transports and additional tanks were advancing on the central plaza; a fresh stream of orders came through the tac-net - with the tanks down Yukimo's truppe were ordered to remain in place, deploy their weapons and assist the defenders in the plaza below them by providing over watch and sniper support. With a deep sigh and great trepidation the Oberjager give the signal for the High Explosive rounds to be loaded into the DATDs for use on enemy infantry clusters.

Unteroffizier Jakobs had been holding the line with his squad now for four hours and so far the Imperial attempts to take the city centre had been sporadic, now however as a squadron of VTOLs roared overhead unloading a lethal volley of fire at a target the tac-net told him was a squadron of enemy tanks, it became clear that the real offensive was only now beginning. There were hundreds of badly injured soldiers and militiamen in the city hall, and not only was the building the symbolic heart of the Commonwealth presence in Port Esper but it was also their main command centre - in short, it could not be allowed to fall.

Jakobs and his truppe were not elite jagers, nor were they grenadiers, they were simple soldaten. Grunts in other words; between the ten of them they had two light machineguns, two underslung grenade launchers and 8 assault rifles, but Gods damn it they were going to hold their section of the front line as though they were fully equipped grenadiers. With a few well chosen words of secular comfort he kept his men steady, ensuring that each and every one had his gun ready and aimed towards the advancing enemy infantry. "Focus on their infantry, cut down their numbers; let the jagers and air support worry about the armour, and for Gods' sakes pick your targets!" It went without saying really but once the order was given it became official and that hardened the resolve of the men who had been trained and indoctrinated with a strict sense of honour and duty.

Their Company CO Hauptmann Lutzeki had set the minimum firing range on their HUDs, as soon as the Imperial infantry came within that range then the order was automatically given to fire at will. The Imperial Infantry for their part were advancing cautiously but steadily, trying to use what cover they could; occasionally one would fall, smoking, to the ground as a shot from a jager's Longmire struck them directly. Finally the first enemy soldiers came within range and the response was deafening - all at once they and their neighbouring sections opened up on the incoming infantry and the effect was instantaneous - the powerful Orcas used by the Commonwealth shredded most of the light cover and the foremost Imperials were easily perforated by the deluge of fire.

Anthropolian Defense Forces Seize Lesbianus Islands After Collapse of Queendom

PORT NEWHAVEN, LESBIANUS — Anthropolian realm forces launched a daring nighttime amphibious invasion of the Lesbianus Islands after High Queen Beatricia was removed from her throne and brutally murdered on the steps of the Pink Palace in a coup led by her own Royal Guards. The coup also claimed the life of Princess Cristina, heir-designate to the Pink Throne.

The UTR government reportedly ordered an immediate invasion of Lesbianus after news broke of the coup.

The Anthropolian 2nd Special Forces Unit undertook the operation, commanded from the aircraft carrier Ara Bertha Turggo, lead vessel of the Anthropolian 2nd Fleet.

The 2nd Special Forces Unit quickly overtook the islands and after a five-hour fire-fight in the capital city’s center, rebel palace guards surrendered the Pink Palace to Lt Cmdr Szara Fergâhsz, the on-scene commanding officer of the 2nd SF.

Princess Navatralovia, second and eldest surviving daughter to Queen Beatricia, led a “people-power” resistance to the palace coup. She invited UTR forces to assist and liberate the palace grounds while also attempting to rally the population and police forces to resist the palace guards long enough for the 2nd SF to arrive.

Under this scenario, if successful, Lesbianus will insure her sovereign right to exist in peace and maintain her unique cultural heritage under the protection and security of the UTR.”

Lesbianus conducts nearly 85% of its trade with Anthropolia, with about 75% of its exports going to and 94% of its imports coming from the northern realm.

An unauthorized draft of the proposed union treaty circulating among diplomatic channels and journalistic circles would make Lesbianus a “realm-state with federal status and maintaining significant sovereign domestic rights”. The treaty would allow the islands to achieve Queen Beatricia’s dream of a “democratic monarchy” by providing it with a written constitution, and requiring the ruling monarch to stand for re-coronation decided by island-wide referendums every decade.

UTR forces are expected to maintain a permanent presence in the islands which will officially change their name to the “Federal State of the Islands of Lesbos in Special Association with Anthropolia and the United Technocratic Realms.”
