Junigka Administration Sending Military Advisers to Staedetler


President Junigka answers questions in Maria.

The United Realms is reportedly preparing to send a team of military advisers into Staedetler to join Mare Solis advisors there in the midst of the ongoing crisis between government-loyalist troops and a communist rebel militia.

On Saturday, the Maria Times reported that a spokesperson for the UTR Department of Defense confirmed plans to put Joxo Special Operations advisers in Staedetler.

“Within the next few days, a group of Defense Department representatives who specialize in strategy and policy will head to Staedetler to evaluate specific programs that the United Realms may want to help bolster,” reporter Margeri Yabarura wrote for the Times.

The newspaper says that Army Col. Szaca Warhren, a spokesperson for the UTR Department of Defense, told the Times that the objective of sending Joxo advisers overseas is to “shape and establish an enduring program for future UTR efforts to support the Staedetler military through subject-matter expert teams and long-term advisers.”

MT reported previously back in early June that UTR was considering options “to help Staedetler build highly effective armed forces and defense institutions.”

The announcement come after the President Junigka approved more than ж25 million toward security assistance to Staedetler. As the crisis in the small NPC intensifies, however, the UTR is now reportedly prepared to offer “hands-on” assistance, in the form of Joxo advisers.

“Clearly, we have an interest in what happens in Staedetler and it’s far better to have an idea of where we can maximize any support we are willing to provide,” Col. Warhren told the Times.

The United Federation formally recognizes the government of Australia Republic AUSR and the government of the Newwald Republic, and has appointed a Marcus Aldridge and Willamina Torsbridge (FOM-OM) as the permanent ambassador to the northern nation. Reports are that officials in the Ministry of Foreign Relations have been working on a reciprocal trade policy and a treaty that opens the door to a UFA military base in each nation in exchange for military training and support.

The UFA formally recognizes the new Commonwealth government. Gerard Artaud will remain the Ambassador to the new nation. The Federation is looking for new treaty that includes a non-aggression pact as well as an economic fair trade agreement with the Commonwealth. Sources inside the Foreign Relations Ministry believe the two continental powers are trying to develop a new energy project that aims to provide a clean, fuel efficient source of power.

The Federation’s own ARS Group has completed their first foreign acquisition for A$4.1 billion. Omec-Gamorz Petrochemical Group will be the Promethean Branch of the ARS Group’s Oil & Gas Subsidiary and looks to provide services in the western region of the Mare Titanus. Last month, ARS Group purchased Skybox Imaging for A$1.39 billion.

Etova, Blacaria - Last week the Blacarian Arch Queen Johanna III, who was 94, was moved from the hospital in New Hope, UFA, back to the Etovan Palace to spend her last days with family. "This morning, surrounded by close family and friends, Her Royal Highness passed away at 9:33 BCT," according to a statement released by the Blacarian Royal Family.

Spokesperson for the Royal House, Lady Margaret Embridge solemnly told reporters that a vigil for the beloved mother of Blacaria would be held this Sunday following a private funeral outside her ancestral home in Vundt. “She will be remembered for her unrivaled beauty, courage, and desire to strengthen Blacaria to what we see and love today.”

At noon today Prince Floreg, 68, was crowned Arch Prince during a ceremony in front of hundreds of cameras and millions of eyes on the steps of the Etovan Palace. Arch Prince Floreg is HRH Arch Queen Johanna III’s first son and has the only legitimate claim to the throne.

New Hope, Ajerrin - In a small press announcement at his summer home on the Presidential Grounds of Lenai, President Kolia Ali’iloa expressed his deepest condolences to the Blacarian Royal Family and the Blacarian people on the death of Her Royal Highness Arch Queen Johanna III. “Her life will be remembered and celebrated, for it is her strength and courage that made Blacaria a safe, progressive nation with all the liberties that we come to associate with Freedom.”

President Ali’iloa sat with Her Royal Highness Johanna III at North Shore Medical just two weeks ago, at what many considered to be the Arch Queen’s last days. “The day we talked at North Shore she was upbeat, happy even. But we made a promise to make sure Prince Floreg would have the opportunity to rule a safe and beloved nation,” the President said.

“The Federation acknowledges Arch Prince Floreg as the rightful heir to the Blacarian Throne and as allies, neighbors and friends, we look for Blacaria to prosper side by side with Ajerrin." As tears started to build from his eyes, the President left the podium and walked back into the residential palace.

Today Newaldian Prime Minster Alex Ødenkirk signed a momentous treaty with the Federation of Ajerrin. The treaty would allow fair and total trade between the Newwaldians and the Federation. This treaty would also allow for a Higgensdotter military base to be erected on Newwaldian land, this would provide a way for the Federation to have a strategic military advantage over the north sea and in return the Federation promises to preform joint exercises with the Newaldians as to help establish a military. Many prominent Newwaldian pacifists have decried the treaty saying that it will lead Newwald to a militarist state, citing that this was not the intention of the founders. However despite the small public outcry, the majority of Newwaldians do not believe the development of a military will affect Newwald. In an official press statement the Newwaldian defense secretary said: "Ajerrin is assisting our nation so that we may better protect ourselves against external threats. We are not going on the offensive, we are merely building an insurance policy."

Connor looked down from the tops of the gigantic trees. Below him he saw the android. The hyper-sensitive bot had the same senses and abilities as a human, but magnified to be 25 times as strong. It carried a Modern Combat Blade, an Assault SIAP Rifle, a SA Combat Pistol, and a Modern Combat Shield. Connor would alert the rest of his team, but this was a solo exercise. He looked to a sturdy branch 20 meters away and about 12 below on a separate tree. He aimed and took leap. He landed soundlessly.

That totaled the count to 12. He would have to work hard to find and eliminate the rest of the bots. Unbeknownst to him, a leaf began drifting down the tree. He ran towards a larger tree that would offer a good vantage point to scout out the "Western" portion of the room about a half kilometer away. The leaf landed at the bottom of the tree, in front of the bot. The android alerted the other 5 members of his squad. A sniper took aim and fired as Connor ran.

Conner heard a muffled thump, and stumbled as the bullet impacted the shielding on his leg. As he fell to the ground, he whipped out his Nano-Combat Blades and stabbed the tree in front of him. He began to slow as he pushed off from the tree. He landed on an adjacent branch and took cover behind the trunk. He felt the reverberation of the tree as it was riddled with bullets. He grabbed one of his blades, and he inhaled deeply. His neural implant was alerted he requested his visor to switch to enhanced echolocation. It made the switch as he turned his head to the left and looked over his shoulder. He saw the world in black and shades of green. He saw the outline of the 5 of the bots, all beginning to flank him. One was missing, so he spun to his right and threw the knife right into the bot's computing center in it's abdomen.

Jackpot. The bot crumbled, and Connor dove for the body. He grabbed it as he fell. The android's disabled body shielded him as he fell the 10 stories to the ground. He stole the bot's pistol and sniper before he landed and rolled away. He cloaked himself and aimed from behind the tree. He took aim at two bots running straight at him. He waited till they fell in line. He squeezed the trigger...

A joint project to develop enhanced deuterium energy technology with Ajerrin
Though the talks with Ajerrin have yet to conclude the government has confirmed reports that Ajerran scientists and engineers will be joining the team working on the Enhanced Deuterium Energy Project (EDEP), both as a means of assisting with the project and sharing the vital technology which has the potential to provide vast quantities of clean sustainable energy.

Deuterium technology has been at the core of the Commonwealth since its days as the Arcadian Mandate; the colony was originally founded because of the large quantities of deuterium found on Enkon and because of the huge potential for deuterium synthesis. The Reich too uses deuterium as its primary fuel source and it was around powerful deuterium reactors that each of the Mandate's major cities were built; up until this point however deuterium technology has been the sole reserve of the Reich and Commonwealth, a jealously guarded secret of success and a source of power which enabled the rapid growth of the Mandate.

Since declaring independence the Motako government has been funding research into more efficient and compact deuterium reactors, as well as nodal micro-reactors. Such technological developments were prohibited by the Reich but now it is seen as a vital imperative if the Commonwealth is to gain the edge over the Reich in military terms - this said the government insists that the primary focus of the project is to meet civilian energy needs and not just as a means for military advancement. By increasing the efficiency of deuterium reactors the Commonwealth can become self-reliant and will not need to seek supplies or expertise from the Reich or other offworld powers.

The reactors currently used in the Commonwealth are the older Type 4 'Colonist' Pattern systems which provide vast quantities of energy, but which produce contaminated, radioactive water as a byproduct; they are also hugely inefficient, requiring large quantities of deuterium on a regular basis in order to keep functioning at full capacity. Combine this with the fact that they are of Arcadian design and it makes the entire national energy grid vulnerable to cyber attack and resource shortages; with the oncoming invasion of the Commonwealth neither are acceptable risks to be running.

Though Ajerrin at present has no experts on deuterium energy it is the clear intention of the Commonwealth to share the technology and expertise, allowing Ajerrin to, in the long run, build and maintain its own deuterium reactors. This is yet another clear indication that Ajerrin, along with Onza and the Grand Dominion, have been chosen as close allies for the fledgling nation.

Trade Agreement with Unibearia promises to provide a small portion of the Commonwealth's iron needs
Rumours abound that the ongoing talks with Unibearia will result in a deal whereby 3.1 million metric tons of iron will be sold to the Commonwealth by Unibearian business interests at a subsidise rate of tax in order to allow the Unibearian economy to recover from its protracted civil war. The deal would signal the beginning of positive relations between the Commonwealth and the (comparatively) small country.

The government had already confirmed that it intended to offer aid in the form of food, shelter, medicines and money to the wartorn country, however the precise details of any such aid deal have yet to be announced. Regardless it seems clear that the Commonwealth intends to move forward with a progressive and benevolent global agenda, having already sent aid and military assistance to Vvarden and signed generous treaties with Onza and Nedea.

Whether or not this humanitarian approach to foreign affairs will signal a change in the internal government structure and politics of the Commonwealth itself remains to be seen, however as time passes the general liberal democratic leanings of many nations on Enkon seem to be having a tangible effect on the manner in which the Commonwealth conducts itself.

Despite the deal which will provide large quantities of iron for the use of the Commonwealth's heavy industry there is still huge demand for iron and the major corporations and government continue to look for new sources.

The CSS Motako leaves the shipyard
Having been working on by a triple compliment of ship builders and machines the first ever space craft to be built by the Commonwealth, the Independence Class Micro-Command Carrier, the CSS Motako has been completed. Work began two weeks ago when the prefabricated parts of the ship were transported into orbit on the orbital Kaiyon Shipyard. The CSS Motako is the first of its Class and it seems more than likely that it will be one of only a few as its construction placed significant strain on the Promethian industrial sector and resource network; despite being made of the locally sourced and resource efficient Promethian Orichalcum the sheer size of the Independence Class meant that every available scrap of material had to be gather together to have the Motako built in time.

Having learned from the strain placed on their industrial sector and resource network the government of the Commonwealth has now begun to step up production of Orichalcum, Bondalloy, Flexalloy and other materials needed in the construction of its own space craft. Increasing production in order to create a stockpile is now a high priority for the Office of Development; Secretary of State Hans Ullinger today summoned the heads of the largest industrial corporations to his office to discuss a plan of action.

The CSS Motako will be a flagship of the new fleet which is now under construction and follows the groundbreaking design of the Independence Class. The entire project, from start to finish had been undertaken with incredible speed in order to ensure that the ship was ready for service before the Arcadian fleet arrives; now all resources and infrastructure is being bent towards the construction of a pair of Justicar Class micro-dreadnoughts which will form the vanguard of the Promethian fleet in combat.

New Hope, Ajerrin - The Foreign Ministry put out a Press Release saying The Federation has signed a treaty with The Kingdom of Northern Unibearia. The news comes quickly after Federation recognized The Kingdom of Northern Unibearia and His Majesty, King Yuri as its sovereign ruler earlier this morning.

According to multiple sources within the Ministry, the Federation has been working on a treaty with the war torn Bearish state for weeks. "Council Chairman Keilani and his staff personally worked on a treaty that revolved around open trade, improvements to infrastructure and military training for two months before the draft was completed,” one source said. Chairman Keilani was seen with Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Maurice Little and Darkwater Irons CEO Mali La'ato numerous times over the past week around Redstone. The talks of military training could revolve around the Federation Navy and Darkwater products.

[SOLISIAN ARMED FORCES CONFIDENTIAL REPORT]

Omalokee, Sino-Creek Commonwealth, Enkon - After an 11 hour flight from Uyswistan, the SIS team finally makes it too Omalokee in the Sino-Creek Commonwealth. On arrival, the team is approached by Sino-Creek Intelligence, and informs them that Abu Al-Shonna is in a compound in the outskirts of Omalokee. The outskirts of Omalokee is a heavily forested area with numerous places to hide for the SIS team, but same goes for Abu Al-Shonna. After an hour drive, Special Agent Calixto contacts the MSAF SZUK-56AWACS flying over Abu Al-Shonna's compound, and reports that Abu Al-Shonna and four other armed assailants are in the compound. Calixto then devises a plan to assault the compound at 1:00 AM, and set up a reconnaissance circle around the compound until 1:00 AM approaches.

Once 1:00 AM approaches, Calixto ordered his men to prepare for the imminent assault. Once it reached 1:00 AM, the assault began by killing one of Abu Al-Shonna's armed men with a suppressed rifle, who was patrolling the compound. The team then climbs over the walls and charges through the back door. One team was to clear out the first floor, while the second team charges to the second floor and capture Abu Al-Shonna. Unfortunately, the second team was not fast enough to reach Abu Al-Shonna, who killed himself once he heard SIS footsteps approaching his door.

Frustrated & enraged, Special Agent Calixto fires an additional round on Abu Al-Shonna's already dead body and kicked a nearby small wooden dresser. Upon kicking it, Calixto noticed something on the wall just behind the wooden dresser. The wall had a hole in it that held a small metal door. The hole had been concealed by the wooden dresser. Calixto then orders another SIS agent to attach a explosive to the metal door, a small enough explosion to break down the door. The metal door then collapses and exposes a room with dozens of file cabinets. Desperately, Calixto orders numerous SIS agents to search through these file cabinets for any information on the two sleeper cells in Havana. Searching through the papers, Captain Martel is looking at the endless government secrets of every single nation in the world. From 46566 to Yudesagau, every nation was in these file cabinets in an alphabetical order, holding every government's secrets. Special Agent Calixto then reaches the file cabinet that holds Otundi Kogo's files. Calixto finds numerous files on Otundi Kogo, ranging from state-sponsered terrorism to future Otundi Kogoan military ambitions. Calixto then finds exactly what their here for. He finds a dossier titled "Woodpeckers SCOF Urban Warfare Unit". Within the dossier shows, the unit members home & work address, daily schedule, their contacts, & most importantly, where they hide their RED-321 Nuclear Suitcase Bombs.

Calixto then orders the team to pack up, while he retrieves the remaining dossiers in Otundi Kogo's file cabinet. Before leaving the room, Special Agent Calixto looks back. He is looking at the secrets of every nation in this world, besides Otundi Kogo's who's files are in Calixto's backpack. Calixto then looks at his communications officer and says, "Connect me to Special Forces, I want them to drop here and pack up all these files. We could use them in the future".

President Samuel White walks into the press conference room with the Vice President and the Directors of each of the government departments. As the President takes the podium the VP and directors line up on the left and right sides of him.

"Citizens of the Coalition,

Today, the Coalition Council has passed some landmark leglisalations. This leglisaltion was passed to help protect the United Coalition in times of re-construction and also to prevent another civil war. This leglislation will speed up the process of re-construction and improve the lives of all Saratogans.

The first piece of leglisaltion is called the Re-Construction Act. This Act will help portect the United Coalition against foriegn corruption whether is by a nation or by a foriegn corperation. We are in a state the leaves the United Coalition vulnerable but this also gives our nation room to learn from our mistakes of the past.

The second pieces of leglisalation, Ban of Far Left political parties. The reasoning for this act is because of the willingness of these far left organizations to use illigeal methods to win elections. The Coalition Council and citizens of the United Coalition all agree that those actions can not go unpenelized. The ban is only from government leglislative bodies and not on public demestrations, public assembly, and forming a political parties or political lobbies.

Lastly, over the last few month a team of poltitical scientists have been studying what exactly happened politically caused this country to be swept into a civil war. Well, they all agreed that it was caused by something that we should have seen but overlooked, patriotism. These people were sick of being administered by a government many miles away. Today, we passed a bill which will prevent any part of the country from having those same feelings again. I introduce the Coalition Re-Organization Act! This bill reforms the current government while creating 3 newly independent "nations" so to speak. We studied the Ajerrin Federation and how their system worked, we made a verson of our own. The 3 newly states will be called, Teicondroga, Orisktany, and of course Romaniania. They will have the respondibilies of a independent nation like electing their own leaders, supporting a primary and secondary education system, creation and maintenance of a military, and much more. However these new nations will still be under the administration of the government of St. Saratoga.

In conclusion, we are creating a NEW United Coaltion from the ashes of the old one. Thank you!"

No Rest For The Weary

Federation Ambassador to the GA Samantha Friedrich walked out of Global Plaza’s main building into the grass center for a smoke. Shadowed by three guards, she lit up a cigarette, took a pull and released. She looked tired. Exhausted even. Looking up to the row of flags across the Plaza that now hung the yellow flag of The Republic of Newwald she could see one of her deputies come into view from across the field.

Deputy Rolis walked across the grass and took out a cigarette to join the Ambassador. “Hello Samantha. Have you read the new legislation from the Coalition today?”

“The realignment? That’s been going on for awhile now. It makes sense.”

“President White cited the Federation as the model,” Rolis blurted.

“Well, it’s nice to know our government can be an efficient model for someone,” as she rolled her eyes and smiled sarcastically.

The Federation government was becoming a giant morass of red tape that slowed many things to a standstill if the right people weren’t involved. Each federal state had their own Council government that overlooked the governments of several provinces, which overlooked the hundreds of local governments within the area. Each Council were supposed to be masters in their specific section of the government, similar to a meritocracy. But for the past few years the push into party-line politics has started to anger the people. Daily protests on the Inner Plainsland have been seen for months due to the lack of voice and the lack of common Ajerrin logic in their region - something always seen when the Council were technocrats. State Presidents have turned into political powerhouses looking to make friends in the business sector, helping themselves and party-line friends get jobs and power, rather than listen to educated officials on how to improve the country.

“White's speech also mentioned of a ban on left-wing political parties, citing the Saratogan-Romaniania civil war as the reason behind the law.”

Samantha’s brow tightened. “While many worlds have proven that communism isn’t the way to go… who gets to decide what is ‘left-wing’ and what is not?”

The deputy nodded.

“The bill passed by 55 votes, so it wasn’t a unanimous approval.”

"Banning political parties sounds more like New Santiago’s game rather than the Coalition. I’ll look into the new law in comparison to the Charter. I’ll call Chamberlain and see what the idea was behind this piece of legislation. It certainly doesn’t sound like President White is promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms for all."

Outrage in Newwald over United Coalition decision!

Today in the capital city of Walden various protesters turned out in the thousands to express outrage at the United Coalition and to press for international sanctions. One reporter had this to say: "It's about noon here in the capitol and there are hundreds of thousands of people lining the streets, blocking cars and chanting. Most of these banners say things like 'International Outrage!' or 'Free Romaniana.' It's very clear that the Newaldians are not taking this decision well."

A political analyst had this to report. "I think it's no wonder that an extremely left-wing nation that values freedom of speech would be so enraged by what the United Coalition has done. But I think they're even more angry that such a big player like the United Coalition would even fathom drafting that kind of legislation into law. Let's not forget that Romaniana didn't start the civil war."

The protests were followed by an official statement by the Newaldian government in which Prime Minister Alex Ødenkirk had this to say: "We do not condone the actions of the United Coalition however nor will we act on any form of sanction or restriction unless approved by the Global Alliance."

In other news, the joint Newaldian/Ajerrin military exercises have been highly successful. Ajerrin GA Rep Samantha Friedrich and Prime Minister Alex Ødenkirk shook hands after having attended the christening of a large naval battleship. The Newwaldian defense force personnel will also be attending an Ajerrin naval academy later next week.

This week, the Government declared it was recalling all forms of currency circulating and converting the nation to the new national currency: The Kredit. This is widely seen as an improvement, as the previous national currency the Logue, was official but was rarely used due to the decades of other currency being spread around. The transition has been met with some opposition but has largely been accepted.

WNN: Report on the Seizure of Iron Mines

Two mining towns were siezed by the National Department of Resources (NDR). It was found that the two towns, Reeth (located in the Roanoke Valley) and Durham (located in Southern Freydanland), each stood on vast, rich deposits of Iron. NDR Vice Secretary Uther Nolan stated that though a large portion of the salvage will go to the government, all of the miners and townspeople will be able to keep their jobs, and will have full insurance funded by the department. Despite these claims, protests have begun in several small rural mining towns.

Primarch William Darrow has yet to hold a press conference concerning the issue.

The floor of the Grand Representation is silent. A lone man in a dark overcoat stands in the center of the large amphitheater of a room.

"The Grand Representation recognizes Doctor Atteus Aticus of New Romanis."

The man in the overcoat looks nervously up to the seats of the representatives as he struggles to firmly hold the microphone. He drops it. His hands shake severely as he begins speaking. He speaks with a stutter.

"New Romanis decays by the day. The cities of New Naples and Rome stand silent, nothing but the dead inhabiting their streets. The government has collapsed as the emperor and the royal family fled to the Bearish Kingdoms. We have no doctors, no medicine, no help left. The Blood Pox spreads farther north by the day. The wealthy barricade themselves in their homes and wealthy areas of the cities. No messages come from the southern coast."

The floor-screen below him shows pictures of people covered in large, red pustules. The people afflicted are obviously in great agony. Piles of corpses covered in craters left by the pox being burnt. An aerial shot of New Naples, bodies lie fallen in the street. Smoke billows up from buildings as the dead city burns.

"The disease has an 85% fatality rate. Those who survive are left blind, crippled, and weak. Most that survive soon die to malnutrition as those around them sub come to the disease. The harvest rots in the fields as the corpses of the farmers in their houses. Without aid, even the survivors will soon die. Our government has fallen, and Caisus seems to be the only hope we have. Out of 50 million people, our nation now has less than 10 million. Please, help us.”

The man has tears in his eyes as he finishes. He breaks down into sobs as he is led to a seat by an attendant. He walks with a severe limp.

“The floor is now open to debate. The purposed resolution: send medical aid to every major New Romani city and provide food, shelter, and anything else the populace may need until a more permanent solution may be created.”

Orari Republic accepted into the Commonwealth as the Province of Orar
Today Prime Minister Grigori Katsuva of the Orari Republic formally signed the Gaidean Agreement making the tiny native republic a Province of the Commonwealth; the signing was attended by President Motako in person, something which has become increasingly rare in the past few months. The small ceremony was carried out cordially and amiably, in the spirit of cooperation that the entire agreement was made with.

Orar has vast iron reserves for such a small country and its position close to Vvarden made it a valuable target; initially talks began with the intention of making Orar a protectorate of the Commonwealth, however a formal offer of annexation was made shortly after. Since the beginning of the Vvardenese Civil War the Orari Republic, with its isolated position on the far south of Enkon, has become increasingly nervous about its insecure position and the threat of invasion or abuses of its sovereignty. When it became clear however that the Commonwealth could provide a much more reasonable long term solution to its problems as well as the investment and resources needed for rapid economic growth the Republic agreed to begin talks for accession into the Commonwealth as a fully recognised province.

Upon its official accession which will happen in 2 months Orar will gain full legislative recognition in the Central Legislature, and a representative on the executive committee.

Four new VTOL craft enter service in the CAF
What began as a simple commission for a versatile aircraft to replace the aging UH-60 helicopter fleet has ballooned into a full scale review and replacement of service craft across the spectrum; which includes gunship and close air support craft. The review came following the publication of the battle reports for the Battle of New Andas and the Battle of First Town in Vvarden which revealed significant weaknesses in the equipment and vehicles used to deliver units into battle.

The two battle reports were met with shock and outrage in military circles as well as by the public, with many groups claiming that the War Office was responsible for the deaths of as many as 780 servicemen over the course of the two battles. It was found that 75% of all infantry casualties were caused while the soldiers were in transit aboard the old UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter as a result of their being shot down by any fire. The severe vulnerability of these craft, particularly to high calibre weapons and man portable missile launchers meant that entire infantry sections were being shot down with a single shot.

To combat the vulnerability of their aircraft the War Office commissioned Allied Industries to produce a versatile fighting craft which could both transport troops into the thick of the fighting, and provide close air support safely while also being able to engage enemy aircraft at high speed and highly variable altitudes. The initial result was the Type 2 'Harpy', a Versatile Support Craft capable of laying down heavy fire support for infantry while transporting them to and from the field; however while the military approved of the Harpy they found from the reports produced to go with it by Allied Industries that it was necessary to commission the construction of further models built along similar lines. The results were varied, producing the Type 8 'Manticore', Type 4 'Wendigo' and Type 5 'Hydra'; all models were however built with interchangeable parts for ease of supply and maintenance.

The Manticore enters service as the primary MoBaSu deployment craft, while the Harpy fills the role of primary transport and support craft for infantry units. These new airborne transport craft may soon replace ground based transports altogether according to one source close to the design project who went on to say:

"The design of the Types 2 and 8 are highly innovative, featuring advanced armoured hulls and shielding technologies which make them easily as durable as the fleet of ground based transports utilised by the CAF and more durable than the standard light transport vehicle. I can say with a considerable degree of accuracy that these are not the only VTOL craft that will be entering service in the coming year."

Ferrucorp gains corporate status as iron mining sector booms
The large iron mining company, Ferrucorp, which started trading stocks four months ago, has today been granted Corporate status by the Independent Financial Authority after it reported record profits in the last quarter. Ferrucorp stocks are currently trading at 112.32 krendars per share on the NASE index which places them in a solid trading position nationally; the large number of iron import deals being discussed by the government at present show no signs of impacting on the overall share value of Ferrucorp stocks as demand for iron soars.

Ferrucorp, which started off as an investment interest, has grown into the largest iron mining corporation in the Commonwealth, controlling 80% of the nation's iron deposits as of last month; it has been making rapid inroads in Nova Aramatherius where they have provided more than 200,000 new jobs in the last month alone. The increase in investment as well as their new corporate status will doubtless mean more jobs in the newly established territories.

Three new Ferrucorp mines are being opened this week, which are expected to increase output by a further 15%, as more land surveys reveal richer and richer veins of iron ore throughout the region.

Demand for iron has skyrocketed in the Commonwealth as a result of the extensive construction and military manufacturing work which is being undertaken in preparation for the Arcadian attack; iron is a key resource in the manufacture of a number of vital alloys which are used in the production of everything from space craft to tanks. Recent trade deals and rumours from ongoing discussions have raised the distinct possibility of vast iron imports, however this does not appear to have affected the overall demand or value of iron in the Commonwealth who continue to purchase and look for new sources of iron as a matter of high priority.

The Office of Development looks for foreign investment opportunities
With the rapid growth of Promethian investment and business interests both at home and abroad the Commonwealth's Office of Development today announced that it is looking for opportunities for investment in foreign markets in order to further boost the economy and sustain the economic growth seen thus far. In a report published today the independent advisory committee, FFIC, the group recommended further investment in foreign interests as well as the opening of markets in the Commonwealth to investment from foreign businesses and governments.

The Commonwealth's size, as well as its stable economy, near limitless manpower and neutral stance on foreign politics makes it an ideal market for investment. Having been involved in only one war since its establishment, and with secure financial regulation it is regarded as a safe bet for investors.

The Arcadian Commonwealth has agreed to provide food aid as well as emergency shelter and financial investment to help our economy rebuild.

Caisus has agreed to send medical equipment to help the sick and wounded and also to give Unibearians access to modern Medical Equipment and Medical services.


Major reconstruction of infrastructure has already started in Lycos and the Southern Government officials such as Furos Kuros will under go trials for war crimes, Corruption and treachery.


The Emerald throne of Unibearia is being moved to Rovstad, the new capital of Unibearia.



In other news, King Yuri remains in a coma after being stabbed with a poisoned blade by Emperor of Southern Unibearian Empire, Dorrow Laporte, who was also his father. He it has been declared that Yuri is in an unstable state. The Doctor in charge of Yuri's safety has stated quote

USS Government reverses government discussion
Midgar,46566-With the reason problems with the USS supporting breakaway communist or socialist regimes the USS government has repelled the law. This is seen as a reaction to the UTR's ultimatum and the USS government not wanting a war so soon after the New Santiago war. While no military movements were made by the USS there were rumors that the USS were talking with Otundi Kogo. The USS urges to have the country split in half with the western part being communist controlled and the other being a free country. If it is unacceptable then the USS wishes for a cease fire to happen to allow a vote to happen to form a new coalition government.The voting will be overseen by a coalition of forces coming from the UTR,Mare Solis,The USS and Otundi Kogo. The hopes are that a stable government free of foreign influence can be created.

Midgar,46566-The USS government has officially created a department of colonial affairs.As of right now there is no head yet announced but the USS Virgin Islands will be considered the first "colony" run by the department. It seems that the reason for this is to relive overcrowding of colonial and mainland holdings. The official announcement has stated while the colonies will retain some independence at least more so then the Sub republics of Wavy and Silva, that the colonies will have a influx of both Midgari and Silvan populations.

Analyzing through the dossiers found in the Sino-Creek Commonwealth, for anything he missed. Once the room was filled with various uniformed men, government officials, and the Chief-of-Police of Havana, the briefing then commenced.

Calixto: "Havana. The city is known as the tobacco capital of the world. Destroying the city would have eliminated one of Solisia's most valuable export. Its a good thing we've found these guys. Enner Mututu, was a former high ranking officer in the Otundi Kogo Army, but was allowed to leave the army to join the SCOF Urban Warfare Unit. And lastly Reyehem Lu. He was in the Otundi Kogo Intelligence before joining the unit. We already know where their hiding their RED-321 Nuclear Suitcase Bombs. As i'm speaking, the Mare Solis Navy have sent in a Naval Combat Demolition Unit, who specializes in nuclear armaments, to handle and nullify these weapons. But back to the SCOF agents. These men will not talk, when captured. They have been trained to do so. So Chief-of-Police, your Special Response Team has an option of taking him down or capturing him. Their is no preference, their value as alive is the same value as being dead. And lastly, it is highly important to take these men at the same time, we don't want one of them alarming the other."

1300 Azul Drive, Havana, Mare Solis - Reyehem Lu was smoking a Guevara cigar in his front porch, when a Havana Police Department armored truck arrived with a Special Response Team (SRT). Lu instantly ran inside his house and retrieved a pistol and a suicide vest. He then ran upstairs and closed his bedroom door shut. Half of the SRT then charged through the first floor of the house, while the other half went upstairs to clear it out. Captain Martel, who was leading the SRT, heard a large explosion upstairs, and ran upstairs to find nothing but body parts & shrapnel holes on almost every wall on the second floor. Lu managed to kill himself, along with three other SRT members, and severely injuring one. After calling an ambulance for the injured SRT member, Captain Martel looked at the remnants of Lu's body. Captain Martel was able to find half of Lu's face, which was covered with distinctive tattoos similar to the pictures provided by WeHaKaU.

358 Calle Alta Road, Havana, Mare Solis - Mututu was preparing his dinner when the SRT team arrived at his residence. Due to his time in the Otundi Kogo Army, a door being kicked down sounded similar enough to trigger his body to grab a kitchen knife and defend himself. Mututu then hides in one of the kitchen's corners. A 5-man SRT then enters the kitchen, and Mututu stabs one of the SRT members in the left trapezius. Another SRT member then discharges a couple rounds from an LMR into Mututu's chest, instantly killing him. Special Agent Calixto, then walks in and looks at Mututu's body. He then talks on a radio, informing the death of Mututu. Calixto then walks around Mututu's kitchen & finds a dossier he was reading titled "Future Woodpeckers SCOF Urban Warfare Units in Mare Solis". He then opens it and finds future sites of sleeper cells in Mare Solis, numerous ways of getting into Mare Solis illegally, & ways of transporting the RED-321 Nuclear Suitcase Bombs in & across Mare Solis. Calixto then orders his men to search the entire house for additional intelligence, and orders this specific dossier to be copied & delivered to the Mare Solis Border Police.

Rogerbei, St. Saratoga, United Coalition - Today, Catherine Micheals and many of the members of her Presidency were found guilty of 1st degree murder and many other charges. They all have life terms and will serve time in a undisclosed maximum security when they return from New Hope, Ajerrin to face trial in a Global Alliance courtroom for crimes against humanity and genocide. Once they are convict or not convicted they will return to St. Saratoga to serve their time.

Day 1:Within six hours of the border being openned to citizens of New Romanis, 400,000 fled north in hexes 1729 and 1829. I recommend the immediate annexation of hex 1829 for their safety. Three hours south of the border, we reached Fort Caesar. It seems that this is where thousands waited before the border was openned. The base is in ruins, large piles of corpses rot. Keepers of Ash begin funeral preparation for the dead. Severly sick and injured individuals seem to have been left behind, numbering 27. The doctors begin setting up and performing their art. At least 13 are too far gone, but at least the doctors can give them a peaceful death.

Day 2:We encounter less living and more dead as we move further south. Laborers that accompanied us started gathering the harvest to distribute among the surviving populace. If the farmers could be found, they were paid. More often their corpses were found rotting in their homes. As we reach New Pompei, an inferno had erupted. It seems the last out of the city set it ablaze in an attempt to prevent the spread of the Blood Pox. Some survivors found, numbering 6242. Doctors once more begin setting up. The cure is administered, though it will take weeks for the survivors to recover. The rare individial not afflicted, mostly wealthy who had barricaded themselves in their homes in the suburbs, were vaccinated.

Day 3: Constantinople is a warzone. Gang warfare has erupted in and around the city. We come under attack by former New Romanis military. We defend ourselves accordingly. We set up a large camp outside of the city. We registered 20,430 survivors and began distributing food and providing medical attention. The battles in Constantinople ceased as the fighters began laying down their arms and coming to the camp. From medical records recovered from hospitals in Constantinople, it would seem beef tainted with Blood Pox was not caught in time. Vaccination for Blood Pox was not required in New Romanis, and when the tainted beef was consumed the virus spread through the air to the rest of the populace. It seems the first symptoms appeared in the south, and spread north as people began to flee. The virus dies within a few days after the host perishes, so the southern cities are most likely free from the virus even as their residents lie dead. Vaccinations are required in most nations, I do not think an outbreak outside of New Romanis would occur. On the New Romani government, I would recommend setting up a protectrate. These people seem to harbor resentment over the flight of their nobility, and thus a new government will be required.

“Prime Minister Bonaparte! Yuri has awoken!” Forgetting the work he was to do at the Royal Palace, he makes his way to Yuri’s personal quarters.

“Yuri, my king.” Louis bows. Yuri is barely conscious but he soon recognizes Louis. He pops a smile. He cannot talk because of the breathing tube. An I.V sucks his blood into a big rectangular machine that filters his blood. His kidneys are failing also. A tear rolls down his cheek.

“Prime minister, we need to talk you” the doctor asks. Louis steps out of the room.

“Project Furry has produced an early serum. Should we start testing it on volunteers?”

“That’s it! Get me the lead scientist of Project Furry. I need to talk to him.” Louis rushes to exit and boards a transport helicopter.

Admiral Reighberg Tapped To Assist The Newwald Republic

WALDEN, NEWWALD REPUBLIC - Admiral Dennis Reighberg, Special Advisor to the Newwald Republic has been assigned to assist the creation of the new Newwald Republic Navy. Admiral Reighberg will work with Admiral Kollins, Commander of the UFA 11th Fleet out of NAB Omertius until Higgensdotter NAB is complete.

Reigberg will also work with the leadership of Newwald’s current surface fleet, which consists of a handful of aging littoral ships that now surround the newly christened NDF Socrates and NDF Plato. The two refurbished Waarden-class escort cruisers sold for A$5.1 billion and will be the leading air defense ships of Newwald’s Capital Defense Group.

The Federation has opened it’s Naval resources to the Republic, including the Naval Education & Training Center, the UFA Naval Academy and Special Training Centers. Reignberd’s first task is to recruit trained naval commanders and potential seaman for training on the mainland. The officers of the 11th Fleet will be working with the newfound sailors of Newwald’s Defense Force on both Federation and NDF ships.

The Ajerrin Department of the Navy has confirmed they plan to sell additional used ships to the Newweld Republic. Although they have yet to designate which Federation ships they plan to decommission, CK Barker, a professor of military studies at Jersay University believes the Navy’s Phlegethon-class (FFG) and Styx-class (FFH) Frigates from Royal Beaufort, along with Visholm-class Corvettes and Silverfish FPACs from HIA, could provide the small 80 mile island nation with plenty of seaworthy defenses.

With the rift gate having been sabotaged by Commonwealth forces the same day that they had captured the Legate Canaan it had taken the 4th Fleet months longer than it normally would have done to arrive in the NCON Star System; this had been made worse by the fact that they had to program in new approach vectors and arrival co-ordinates so as to avoid being attacked immediately on arrival. If they had followed the existing flight path utilised by the colonists when they had established the Mandate then the rebels would see them coming and had defences prepared to engage them the moment they completed their jump. As it was the fleet had managed to quietly sneak into the outer reaches of the system and were slowly gathering in assault formation for the coming conflict; Grand Admiral Vogen planned to simply roll into orbit over Enkon, destroy the Commonwealth controlled orbital assets and then destroy the captured naval contingent that Vasser had so foolishly allowed to fall to the rebels. Vogens had known Vasser; he was a capable enough ship commander but in his view utterly incompetent as a fleet officer, a view compounded by his failure to deal with the surface rebellion despite possessing vastly superior firepower - the man had completely failed in his job, he could have at the least destroyed the orbital stations and begun summary bombardment of the surface, but instead he had dithered and procrastinated himself into suicide.

Vogens was not about to make the same mistakes, he would approach slowly and with great force, like storm front he would blast away everything he encountered with slow and steady momentum, grinding the Commonwealth forces into the dust before landing an invasion force to retake the territory and re-establish the Mandate. The naval contingent that Motako's forces had captured was but a fraction of the size of the 4th Fleet and had possessed only a few ships of the line, mostly being made up of short range frigates; for a fully armed and equipped fleet they would be only a minor threat. Vogens himself was commanding his fleet from a Syel Mato class command carrier which alone was easily capable of dispatching the naval contingent, but he also had four Chofe Asye class dreadnoughts and several ships of the line under his command.

For now he needed to regroup, long distance jumps like the one his fleet had just made invariably left the large ponderous Arcadian formations somewhat disorientated, not only that but they needed to calibrate their equipment to the conditions in system and give the ground forces they would be deploying a chance to prepare their own equipment for combat. Soon he would be ready and then he would advance; Motako and her backwater band of ingrates and miscreants wouldn't stand a chance; their victories so far had been the result of Vasser's incompetence, he was not Vasser, he was Grand Admiral Tiro Vogens of the Great House of Vogens, who was Ai Motako to challenge him? She might well be High Arcadian, but so was he, she had nothing he did not but unlike him she lacked the backing of the greatest human empire in history!

"Sir! We may have encountered a problem." His chief communications officer Imnitz stepped up the command dais and knelt before Vogens, his fist on his chest in salute. Unlike the impressively built and muscular Vogens, Imnitz was thin and wiry with a very academic air about him. "We're receiving sporadic reports from the outer picket of enemy attack by craft and mines of unknown origin."

Vogens raised his eyebrows and looked at Imnitz who was knelt face down, the man's skin had turned pale and he was speaking in a scared voice as if fearing that the news he was bringing his commander might cause an explosive reaction; of course Vogens was a man of honour though and he knew not to shoot the messenger, Imnitz was merely relaying the information he himself had received, it was not his fault. Regardless Vogens was angry, how had Motako anticipated their arrival point? How had she managed to move her forces out this far this quickly? He should have been prepared for this eventuality.

"Pull all pickets in, have the fleet assemble is a close defensive formation, interlocking fields of fire. No ship is to move out of the formation for any purpose unless I specifically order it." Vogens issued the orders clearly and loudly so that everyone on the command deck could hear him, Imnitz stood and bowed before returning to his own command console to begin transmitting the orders on the tac-net. With cool efficiency characteristic of the Arcadian military the command crew set about their tasks and the ships started to fall into formation.

Just as soon as they had the attackers melted away, hiding behind Zues to hide their escape vectors and showering the area with void mines to snare the oncoming fleet.

Commander Saito was both relieved and exhilarated as his squadron of five small craft (1 Justicar Class, 2 Indomitable Class and 2 Seraph Class) used their primary burst engines to quickly escape the sunward orbit of Zues. Their attack had gone precisely as planned, a swift lightning strike which had disabled one of the Arcadian picket ships, crippling its weapons systems and primary drives before pulling back and releasing their payload of mines. Their intelligence had been perfectly on the mark, the intercepted messages on the Imperial tac-net had told them precisely how and where the fleet would be arriving and in what formation; striking at them had been too easy.

Saito's squadron had been on top of the Arcadian picket before they even knew what was happening, causing minor damage to a number of smaller vessels and completely crippling a Sedt Class 6th Rate before making their escape. The mines too had been a stroke of brilliance on the part of Admiral Zhukath, large orbs which moved towards nearby ships before exploding in a shower of fragments and haywire particles; individually they were only capable of knocking out a gun or two on the enemy craft, but in large enough numbers they could disable whole ships that flew into their fields. Saito's squadron had been carrying a triple compliment, laying hundreds of mines during the course of this operation alone.

Rogerbei, St. Saratoga, United Coalition - After some profitable dialogue with the Northern unibearian President Samuel White has decided to send some Saratogan military advisors to help train Northern Unibearian military.



Both nations are recovering from a bloody civil war both feel that they could support eachother in re-construction. President Samuel White has sent 15 advisors over to assess the situation and if they discover that the situation is worse than expect more will be sent.

President White hopes that this will lead to an alliance which could be used as a "base-of-operations" for a diplomatic blitz of the surrounding nation.

The refugee camp outside of Constantinople is quiet, the silence only broken by the crying of a babe somewhere in the distance. The mass funeral pyres are attended by the Keepers of Ash, praying to the gods for the salvation of the dead even as they add more corpses to the pyre. The stench of burned flesh is thick in the air. Ash billows down like a black snow. Two figures walk through the main corridor of the camp.

"So much death, so little hope. My people are dying.", the one in a once beautiful dress says to the masked man, "the majority of my family has fled." She turns to the masked man and asks, "What does Caisus want from us?"

The sickness has ceased, the cure administered, and vaccinations given. Our medical scouts in the south tell us that the virus has died as there are no more suitable hosts. Though this occurance is a monstrous tragedy, you must remember that it could have been worse. Hope is still there, your majesty"

"My father, the emperor is dead. My husband as well. I am the last of my line. I am also the highest figure in what remains of my government. I don't know what to do." The young Duchess starts to sob as pictures of her dead family and citizens flash in her mind.

"This is something I have been thinking about, Duchess Elysia. I would normally suggest a democracy or constitutional monarchy, but it would seem your people are in no condition to campaign or hold elections. My suggestion is this, we hold a referendum. The people will vote on whether they wish to slowly rebuild their government without the assistance of Caisus, in which case you take the throne as Empress. Or New Romanis could become a protectrate of the United Commonwealths once more under your rule, and after a year elections could be held or you could remain on the throne and Caisus will withdraw. Either way we will still provide support and assist in the reconstruction effort. What say you, your majesty?"

Looking down at her feet, the small woman then looks around at the tents. She thinks on how much her people have suffered.
"Yes. We shall let the people vote."
