Near Jugac, Southern Flank, Southern Baggnagia

The helicopter carrying Telkevich was approaching Jugac. The city was visible from the great distance as it was covered in flames and had waves of black thick smoke coming into the sky from it. The helicopter pilot, the separatist crew and Telkevich himself knew that they were approaching the most difficult part of the journey. Nevertheless, they had no choice, but to fly over Jugac, as all the surrounding territories were occupied by the Baggnagian military and their allies, thus meaning that the helicopter would find no safe passage from the country through those areas.

Jugac and its district were the only neutral territories near the border, behind which was the exit to freedom. Jugac was still being fought over between the Baggnagian army and the separatists, thus it meant that the city had a wide presence of troops from both warring armies. As the helicopter was approaching Jugac closer and closer, the separatist crew in the helicopter attempted to contact all separatist forces in the city, informing them that the helicopter with Telkevich in it was coming towards the city and thus required protection from the Baggnagian military and IFC forces. The separatist forces in Jugac were ordered to ensure a safe passage for the helicopter at all costs.

As the helicopter entered the eastern part of the city, the separatist crew immediately jumped to acting their role as door gunners. The separatists, armed with AK-47 rifles, rocket launchers and shoulder missiles, opened the helicopter’s cabin door preparing for combat with the enemy ground forces. Two separatists jumped behind machine guns that were mounted to the helicopter from both sides of the cabin. As they looked down, the separatists could already see the destroyed and burning city streets infested with Baggnagian troops, tanks and other forces. But what was truly alerting, was that the pilot could see the Baggnagian attack and bomber jets, as well as combat helicopters in the distance, meaning that the helicopter needed to leave the city as fast as possible, before it could be detected by the enemy air forces. The surviving insurgent forces all over Jugac were contacted and ordered to fire at the enemy aircraft, in order to distract their attention from the helicopter, while the separatists onboard would take care of the enemy ground forces in defense of Telkevich.

Jugac, Southern Flank, Southern Baggnagia

As the Baggnagian ground forces saw a hostile helicopter passing through the skies of the city, the commanders of the local forces immediately issued for all army units in Jugac to concentrate on destroying that helicopter. The Baggnagian scouts on the rooftops used high tech binoculars to get a closer look at the door gunners and recognized them as separatist troops. Seeing how the insurgent army did not possess any aircraft throughout the entire war, the Baggnagian soldiers became suspicious that the enemy would possess a helicopter now and thus it quickly produced a theory that this particular aircraft vehicle might be of specific importance.

The possibility that this was simply an ordinary helicopter that the separatists received from Zorga, Krazeria or any of their other foreign suppliers was unlikely as the separatists would have definitely sent many more helicopters to such a hot and strategically important hot zone as Jugac. Thus, it was very likely that this was the only helicopter that the insurgent army possessed overall. In addition, the copter was very eager to get away as fast as it could, not wishing to engage the Baggnagian army in battle. This, just like other clues, reinforced the possibility that this particular copter was of specific importance to the separatist army.

As the helicopter was passing by in great speed across the skies of Jugac, it quickly got the attention of the Baggnagian army and thus it was followed with the enemy forces firing all kinds of weapons at the separatist helicopter, with most of the heaviest fire missing the vehicles, while several bullets were actually able to damage the surface. This immediately resulted with the separatists answering back, as the machine gun wielders were firing showers of bullets at the Baggnagian ground forces targeting them, while other gun runners reinforced this effort with firing AK-47, rocket launcher and shoulder missile fire at the enemy. This quickly escalated into a violent clash between a single separatist helicopter and all the Baggnagian ground forces down below. The helicopter was getting away as fast as it could.

Jugac, Southern Flank, Southern Baggnagia

As the helicopter was moving faster and faster across the skies of Jugac, the Baggnagian troops kept contacting each other, informing them that the helicopters was able to pass their sector and thus that it was now the responsibility of other nearby units to chase the enemy aircraft. Nevertheless, as soon as the aircraft left their sector, the local troops jumped into humvees and jeeps and continued chasing the helicopter, firing from their vehicles. Sometimes mounted machine guns were able to hit the surface of the helicopter, however, this was only an occasion of very rare opportunities, as the humvees and jeeps had to defend themselves from the separatist door gunners, who were firing very powerful weapons right at the Baggnagian ground vehicles. This made the pursuit very difficult and most of the time even resulted with the separatist door gunners being able to destroy most of the pursuing enemy vehicles, thus shaking off a lot of pursuing forces off their tale.

As the Baggnagian ground vehicles continued pursuing the helicopter, a lot of Baggnagian troops also attempted to pursue the copter on foot, if their brethren did not find time to stop and pick them up with jeeps and humvees. Every time the copter passed a certain section of the city, the aircraft constantly received attacks from the ground from the local Baggnagian forces operating in the area. Even if the copter managed to pass their sector without getting shot down, the local troops still did not stay at their spot and leave the job to their brethren. Instead, more and more troops were joining the stampede of military ground forces all pursuing the enemy copter. As the passing separatist helicopter was receiving a lot of fire from the ground, a lot of soldiers were also firing at the separatist aircraft from the windows of buildings and skyscrapers, as well as rooftops.

This intense high-speed chase of a single separatist helicopter was one of fiercest and most intense recent events in the war overall. Both sides were feeling an equal amount of intense pressure as the Baggnagian soldiers feared of letting the enemy helicopter get away, while the separatists feared of getting shot out of sky at any moment.

The Baggnagian pursuit of the enemy helicopter was becoming difficult as the surviving separatist forces in the city quickly joined the fight in defending the copter and blocking any further possibility for the Baggnagian army to pursue it. Nevertheless, the Baggnagian forces still attempted to go after the vehicle, while also fighting off separatist attacks. As soon as the Baggnagian commanders began noticing that the helicopter was getting away from the military as the soldiers were busy defending themselves from the separatist attacks, an order was soon issued to introduce missile batteries, hoping that a swarm of missiles would definitely be able to shoot down the helicopter if all other methods fail.

Almost Near the Centre of Jugac, Southern Flank, Southern Baggnagia

As the helicopter was speeding further, the pilot soon began receiving an alert from the helicopter operating systems that the surface of the aircraft has been greatly damaged. Nevertheless, the helicopter was still capable of continuing the journey in its current state. Meanwhile, the separatist door gunners, who noticed that the situation was getting serious and that the copter would no longer be able to receive much damage, intensified their fire at the pursuing enemy positions. Fortunately, this time there was only a very small number of humvees going after the helicopter as all other forces were not able to keep up. Throughout a 10 minute chase, the separatists were able to either destroy or damage the vehicles, thus blocking any possibility for them to continue their pursuit.

As the separatists were able to shake off most of the pursuing enemies off their tale, the helicopter has entered the city section filled with deserted neighborhoods and not that far away from the centre of Jugac. As the streets below them were empty, Telkevich and his insurgents were ready to believe that they had reached the safe zone. Little did they know that it was a complete opposite to their expectations. The helicopter pilot, Telkevich and the rest of the copter crew soon saw several missiles coming right towards them from the right side. They could not specifically see what was firing the missiles, however, they did not care as they knew that it was from far enough and they knew what side it was coming from. The most important thing right now was to escape getting hit by the missiles.

The quick reaction of the pilot soon went into motion and he began rotating the helicopter, spinning it and flying into all directions, just to avoid getting hit by a single missile. Although the professional and successful maneuver of the pilot allowed the helicopter to escape 4 missiles, it was still not enough to avoid all enemy shots, as they simply continued coming towards. Finally the fifth missile came and hit the helicopter’s tale, thus making the pilot completely lose control of the vehicle. This was soon followed by the copter starting to spin around its axis and going straight for the ground. As the vehicle was falling for its doom, Telkevich was the only one with a reaction quick enough to grab a parachute and jump out of the copter on time, while the rest of the crew was left to perish in the falling chopper. Seconds later, the helicopter crash-landed right into the ground like a meteor, creating a large explosion that flashed across that section of the city. Meanwhile Telkevich was heading towards the ground with his parachute attached, loading his handgun.

Once the helicopter crashed, the scouts observing the event immediately contacted one of the nearest commanders, informing of the success. This was soon followed with the Baggnagian military sending a helicopter crew of their own to the crash site in order to check and see if there were any survivors.

As Telkevich landed on the ground, he detached his parachute and immediately attempted to leave the crash site, before the Baggnagian military could track him down. Telkevich had his black face mask on – the very same one that he wore during his video broadcast to President Zajc Avsenik, announcing the very beginning of the Southern Flank War all this time ago.

As Telkevich was roaming through the dark streets, he was constantly aiming his handgun at all sides, being afraid that he might get attacked at any moment from any side. The darkness contributed to the increase of his paranoia greatly. On his way, Telkevich encountered destroyed tanks and other military vehicles, as well as dead bodies of both Baggnagian and separatist soldiers. He decided to use the opportunity and grab an M-16 rifle from one of the dead bodies, changing his weapon to something more modern and better.

Now being armed with a much better weapon, Telkevich was feeling far more confident as he had the skills and all he needed was a better tool to use them.

Crash Site, Near the Centre of Jugac, Southern Flank, Southern Baggnagia

Finally the helicopter crew arrived at the crash site of the helicopter. Several troops jumped out to investigate the remains of the destroyed vehicles that were still on fire, trying to examine if there were still any potential survivors that somehow magically managed to survive such deadly crash landing. Meanwhile, the attention of some troops was attracted by a parachute that was lying not too far away from the crashed helicopter. This soon brought back the possibility that there was a single survivor after all. The helicopter crew then split up with some staying to investigate the crash site, while some staying onboard and heading north of the direction of where the parachute was found. The helicopter stormed off in light speed.

As Telkevich was roaming through the dark streets, he heard a sound of a helicopter rotor blade in the distance from behind him. He then turned his head and looked back, seeing a military helicopter coming right towards him. The aircraft had a bright light, which was shinning right into his eyes with lighting making him a visible target in the darkness.

As the helicopter was getting close towards Telkevich, he was already putting his finger on the rifle’s trigger. One of the Baggnagian troops was using a loudspeaker, asking Telkevich to put down his weapon and surrender, however, the separatist leader was not willing to comply with the orders of the enemy.

Telkevich pointed his rifle at the helicopter and immediately opened fire.

As the unidentified armed gunman opened fire at the Baggnagian helicopter, the pilot was forced to change the aircraft’s position in order not to get hit. The gunman continued firing at the copter very intensely, even as the aircraft continued moving. The Baggnagian troops attempted to intimidate the gunman by retaliating with rifle fire of their own, however, instead of attempting to hit the gunman, the soldiers were firing all around him in order to create an illusion that he might get hit at any moment and thus possibly force the gunman to drop his weapon. Nevertheless, the aggressor did not even attempt to cease his assault and thus the troops forced to partially neutralize him. One soldier shot the gunman in the right leg, while the other one fired at the gunman’s right hand.

As Telkevich was shot in his leg and arm, he immediately dropped his rifle and grabbed his wounds. He attempt to stop the bleeding as the wounds were very serious and could potentially make Telkevich bleed to death, should he not be treated on time.

Telkevich felt complete defeat as he could neither run nor pick up his rifle to continue firing back at the Baggnagian forces. He stood frozen on the spot, continuing to hold his wounds as his arm and leg kept bleeding intensely with blood not dripping, but leaking on the ground. He kept looking at the helicopter, while taking deep breaths. The Baggnagian troops continued saying something to him through the loudspeaker, however, Telkevich could not hear anything as his mind was somewhere else.

Telkevich then began feeling that breathing became more difficult for him and thus he pulled off his black facemask to get some air, revealing his face to the Baggnagian soldiers. Upon taking the first glimpse at the face of the Telkevich, the Baggnagian troops froze on the spot as they could not possibly believe what they were seeing. The minds of the Baggnagian soldiers could not possibly produce the fact that all this time the leader of the southern separatist in Baggnagia has been the former dictator of Greater Beggnig, who has disappeared years ago. After finally being able to accept this fact as reality, the Baggnagian soldiers had began addressing Telkevich through the loudspeaker by his last name, attempting to convince him to surrender peacefully. However, Telkevich was not willing to accept this by any means, even being in such a terrible state as he was in now.

After having held his wounds for long enough, Telkevich had opened his black coat and pulled out a bottle of unknown flammable liquid out of his right inside pocket. Moments later, Telkevich began pouring the liquid all over himself from head to toes. Although the liquid was making Telkevich feel burning pain from the gunshot wounds in his left arm and his right leg, however, Telkevich did not care and continued pouring it all over himself. Once the bottle was completely empty, he threw it aside and pulled out his lighter. He then looked at the helicopter, concentrating on the Baggnagian troops with a cold lifeless look. Telkevich then gave the soldiers one final smirk and right after that he set himself on fire. The flames covered his entire body within seconds.

Seeing that Telkevich was attempting to burn himself to death, the Baggnagian helicopter crew decided to intervene and put the flames out, before they kill him. However, the crew then saw that one of the troops had been seriously injured in the shoulder, during a shootout with Telkevich. The wound was serious and the soldier required immediate medical care. Naturally, the Baggnagian soldiers chose the life of one of their own, instead of the leader of terrorists, who is responsible for countless of innocent deaths as well as the very beginning of the entire war in southern Baggnagia.

The Baggnagian helicopter crew decided to transport the injured soldier to the facility, where he could receive needed medical care, while allowing Telkevich to perish, seeing it as his own choice. As the helicopter took off, one of the troops contacted the closest Baggnagian unit, informing them of the identity of the separatist leader and requesting them to collect his remains. While the helicopter was taking off into the distance, the flaming Telkevich collapsed onto the ground with his body continuing to burn like paper.

By the time the nearest Baggnagian unit arrived in their humvee, which was a long time after the call from the helicopter crew, all they found was a pile of coal in a form of a human body, still being slightly on fire. All that was left of Telkevich was a burnt up skeleton with small chunks of meat still on it. There was practically nothing left of his clothes apart from destroyed cloth. The vomit-inducing stench was still fresh, which made the Baggnagian soldiers cover their noses and mouths with their arms.

The soldiers then proceeded hugging each other, cheering further and informing all of the Baggnagian units in the city that the separatist leader was finally dead and in addition by his own hand.

With Franko Telkevich dead there were almost no separatists left in the Southern Flank at all. The small number of exceptional survivors completely surrendered to the enemy, admitting defeat and thus marking the end of the war.

The death of Franko Telkevich and the surrender of the separatists was quickly announced to the entire Jugac and then to the rest of the Baggnagian army all over the Southern Flank. The soldiers were cheering and celebrating victory on the spot. After the wonderful news warmed the heart of General Valjt Bralskii, the head of the Baggnagian Armed Forces, the general officer decided that the tremendous achievement must be reported to head of Baggnagia himself – President Zajc Avsenik

Silcenda, Baggnagia

Back in the capital city Silcenda, after the President had received a phone call from General Valjt Bralskii announcing the fantastic news, the entire Presidential Palace began celebrating victory and restoration of peace in the country. After several hours of a storm of joyful emotions, President Zajc Avsenik decided that the final step in truly settling the political part of the crisis, was to contact the leadership of the neighboring Greater Beggnig, informing of the restoration of stability in Baggnagia and the rest of United Middle Slavia, as well as inform of the identity of the separatist leader and question the Beggnigians whether or not were they aware of it.

11:29 am-Central Committee Room-Kovsien, Greater Beggnig.
Romanić sat at his desk, musing over intelligence reports on SFLF activity. Of course, the international coalition that had amassed over the border had been a matter of grave concern for him. Beggnig could not afford to fight another war. Romanić was constantly vexed by the fact that, through all of this, that bastard Telkević had remained alive, as he lead the brave men and women of the Southern Flank into a conflict they could never win. It had been obvious to him that Telkević was behind this. Telkević was a Great Beggnigian nationalist, after all, and the thought of losing a tenth of our countrymen to a foreign power would have been unacceptable to him. Telkević, of course, had tired to hide his guilt by displaying the old socialist party flag and the old flag of Serednoslavia, which had now become associated with the SFLF, albeit without its yellow and red star in his videos. Romanić wondered if Telkević would just escape when he inevitably lost the war, perhaps he would grow a beard and become a doctor? He pushed the thought from his mind, surely no war criminal could escape an international peacekeeping force by growing a beard and becoming a doctor! He turned on his television, just near the end of the 11:00 news.

Image
"Recapping tonight's major story, the war in the Southern Flank has ended after their leader, Franko Telkević was found burnt to death after the last 100 soldiers of the SFLF surrendered to Baggnagian forces."

He got his phone immediately and hit the button labelled:
SILCENDA
Image

Romanić immediately blurted out his praises before even introducing himself:

"Congratulations Avsenik, how does it feel?"

"Good morning, Romanić, not too bad, but we have something we need to discuss."
Zajc responded, his Beggnigian dialect much more fluent this time around.
"How much was your government really involved in this war? Telkević was a Beggnigian after all."

"What exactly are you insinuating, Avsenik?"

"I'm not insinuating, I'm asking, and you know precisely why."

Beyond the Kralj's old weapon shipments, absolutely nothing, I can assure you.

"Next question. How good was your intelligence?"

"We new Telkević was the leader almost as soon was we attempted to contact him to supply the separatists; he felt no need to hide his identity. We felt no need to share his identity with you, since a name is only a name. Even before our candid conversations with him, we saw the tactics that the SFLF used. They mirrored his tactics in the civil war. No concern for the lives of his soldiers, sending them running headlong at trenches and pillboxes like the First World War, no artillery, no tanks, his style of warfare was so primitive I'm surprised you never saw him use a bayonet charge. Yes, Telkević was a Beggnigian, but his ethnicity was of no consequence, he could have been Valifrellian for all it changed your little ethnic situation. The Beggnigian areas of the Southern Flank need to be under our control, sometimes a country needs to be split along ethnic lines, especially when these lines are as clear-cut as those in the Southern Flank. We need new boundaries along the Ninel-Ztarkov line, and then we will begin the process of reintegrating the disillusioned and de-radicalising the people of ours that live there. What do you say, Avsenik?"

Brigadier General Thomas Northwind stumbled slightly as the helicopter touched the tarmac's concrete surface. He felt the steadying hand of the door gunner on his arm, and nodded his silent thanks. He stepped from the roaring helicopter and strode towards the command center near where it sat. He stooped as he entered, and saw several men come to quick attention.

"At ease, gentlemen. You've earned it." The men continued their tasks, directing furtive gazes at their leader. Northwind strode to the map display, and glanced at the soldier attending it. "Show me where they found Telkević."

The man's fingers flew over a keyboard, and a small red dot appeared on the display. "There, sir."

Northwind nodded, and motioned for his aide. "Rivers, dispatch the following to FORCOM."

Official Communique of the Cenerian Government

TO: The Government of the Democratic Republic of Baggnagia
FROM: The Desk of President Samuel L. McLaughlin, Ceneria

To whom it may concern--

We would like to express our most sincere congratulations to you and your nation's brave soldiers in the conclusion of this civil war. You have suffered through possibly the worst internal calamity that can possibly befall a nation, and yet you stood tall and faced it. We hope that this hard-won peace will last.

As hostilities have ceased for the time being, we would like to inform you that our military forces will begin to withdraw from your nation within the next three days. We hope to leave your soil entirely within the next month, so that you may begin once more the life that you enjoyed prior to this war. As a precaution against further violence, the 7th Cenerian Expeditionary Brigade (Mobile) will remain in Jugac for two months from today. If you should need military assistance within that time, the 7th EXEBRIG will be on call for you. One Manguson-class Guided Missile Cruiser, the CNS Galestrike, will also maintain its current position in your territorial waters until two months from today. All other forces will be withdraft within the next two weeks.

We wish you luck and peace in this new period of reconstruction, and fervently hope that your nation will rise again from the ashes of war, and be stronger on the world stage than ever it was before.

Cordially signed,
President Samuel L. McLaughlin, Leader of Ceneria

Silcenda, Baggnagia

The Presidents of Baggnagia and Greater Beggnig had a long conversation. It had shifted to both arguments and agreements. However, it was not yet known what the Presidents of both countries had truly agreed on. On the morning of September 24, 2014, President Zajc Avsenik has decided to address the nation, announcing victory over the separatists, ending of the war and restoration of peace and unity in Baggnagia. The speech was given from the Presidential Building in Silcenda and was broadcast live via television, internet, radio and other sources of information. The President stood behind the tribune to deliver the wonderful news.

Image

My fellow people of Baggnagia,

I come before on this wonderful Wednesday morning to deliver something that all of you have been awaiting to hear for a long time.

On the night between the 23rd and 24th of September 2014, the Baggnagian Armed Forces were able to determine the location of a military helicopter, which was used by the separatist forces to transport the leader of the leading SFLF faction out of the country. The helicopter was heading towards the southwestern borders of Baggnagia, attempting to flee our airspace and thus make itself unreachable for the Baggnagian military. It was obvious that this was an attempt by the people responsible for the chaos, death and misery in the Southern Flank to escape the country unpunished, maybe even planning to return one day and attempt repeating the same atrocities again. Naturally, neither our government nor military were willing to permit such atrocious attempt to escape justice.

As the separatist aircraft was heading to its determined location, the helicopter had entered the city of Jugac, which has been one of the most intense bloodbaths in the recent stages of the war. Once there, it received a series of attacks from the Baggnagian ground forces that were determined not to permit the aircraft leave neither the city nor Baggnagia for the matter. Even though the helicopter was able to escape the majority of these attacks from the ground due to intense protection from the remaining separatist forces in Jugac, the helicopter was eventually struck by one of our missiles and sent crash-landing into the ground. A special team investigated the crash and saw that the majority of the crew had been killed, while the separatist leader himself had coincidentally managed to survive by fleeing the helicopter on time using a parachute. Several teams of Baggnagian units then proceeded to search the city’s grounds until they were finally able to find the separatist leader still attempting to flee the city on foot. Our troops had requested for the head of a terrorist organization to stand down, however, he was armed with an M-16 rifle and proceeded firing at a Baggnagian military helicopter, which resulted with one of our soldiers getting hit in the shoulder, but who then later received proper medical care and now feels much better. Since the separatist leader was not willing to cooperate, the soldiers decided to neutralize him but not deadly. The head of the separatists was shot in the right leg and left hand, thus being left with two deadly wounds and unable to neither run nor resume the fight. Finally, the terrorist took off his facemask and revealed his identity to the troops. Once doing so, he proceeded with taking a step that only a true moral coward with no self-respect would take. He poured an undetermined flammable substance all over himself and then set himself on fire, burning alive. Naturally our troops did not intervene to save this atrocious human being, allowing him to burn to death and thus take a short cut to hell with the help of his own effort and no action from our troops.

Now, I believe that the second great news that you would like to hear after the first wonderful achievement, is the identity of the separatist leader. Believe me, when I heard it myself, I could not believe it. But it was determined that the man, who had lead an organization of evil terrorists in a brutal unprovoked war against our glorious nation was a man named Franko Telkevich…..That is right, the very same Franko Telkevich – a man, who was the dictator of Greater Beggnig and the supreme ruler of the neighboring country after the Greater Beggnigian Civil War. And who was ousted and exiled by the followers of the very same Monarchy that ruled the former country of the Kingdom of Serednoslavia. As I believe most of you may now, this man has been in hiding for a long period of time as nobody has heard from him ever since his Nationalist government in Greater Beggnig had been toppled. Well, yesterday he was back and now he is in hell. And that is what makes this not only a super successful military operation, but also a historical phenomenon and an achievement in our national history as tonight with the effort of the Baggnagian Armed Forces and allies, we were able to find and witness the death of not only one of the most famous political fugitives in United Middle Slavia, but also a terrorist that our country might have personally searched for decades upon decades, should our troops not have caught him tonight.

Now, many of you might be wondering if the government of Greater Beggnig had anything to do with it. I understand that this question might be the one that the entire nation would like a precise answer to, but I do not think that they would be tactical and right at the moment. Just because our enemies were lead by a citizen of a certain foreign country, does not mean that we must hate that country. Yes, it is not a secret that Greater Beggnig had been supporting the separatists in the past, but eventually our neighbors were the first ones to understand the errors of their ways and switch sides, paying back our country with support to us. The government and people of Greater Beggnig had realized that their country has made a mistake and the voice of their inner morality and decency has told them that they must achieve justice and compensate the disaster that took place in our country by assisting in destroying that very same thing they created. Throughout the later and final stages of the war, Greater Beggnig had been supplying weapons to our country and allowing the Baggnagian Armed Forces to use the territory of their homeland for strategic purposes. This was one of the bravest moves that I had ever personally seen from the Beggnigians as they knew that it brought the risk of our war spilling over into their territory. And yet, they were willing to take that risk for us. I think that these things that Greater Beggnig had achieved are honorable and respectful enough to truly show all of us that our neighbors had realized their mistakes and did the best they can to compensate the suffering of the people in the Southern Flank. And as an additional note, Franko Telkevich may have been a Begnak, but he was an enemy to both our and his own people to both the Baggnagians and Beggnigians. And that is why the victory that we had achieved today is our mutual celebration. We can now all be happy knowing that without Telkevich, this world has become a better place. We must celebrate each such achievement, knowing that we had terminated at least some evil, no matter how small of an amount, and replaced it with a bit more good.

A lot of you might think that the death of one terrorist will not mean the permanent ending to the war. Well, if you are one of those people that think so, then I must inform you that you are wrong. Once the death of Franko Telkevich was announced, the surviving separatists, the number of whom is even less than a 100 men, had immediately put down their weapons and surrendered to the Baggnagian Armed Forces and the militaries of our allies. Right now under the monitoring of the Baggnagian military, the surviving separatists are clearing out of the Southern Flank, ceasing their weapons and surrendering. This shows that Telkevich and his most royal followers, all of whom had perished along with their leader, had been a team of strong military strategists. Without them, the rest of the insurgents know that they can no longer carry the conflict as they had lost all bases, weapons, equipment, territory and the war in general. It is clear that the death of Franko Telkevich also means an immediate official end to the Southern Flank War, which is something our country has been waiting for a long time and now we had achieved it. Tonight, our nations dream has become a reality.

Now that peace has been restored and unity had been secured in Baggnagia, our country can start moving forward. Even after achieving great victory, the Baggnagian Armed Forces had not yet completed their mission. With the combat being over, our troops will now be concentrating on repairing as much war damages in the Southern Flank as they can on their behalf. With the active cooperation of the government, the military and all of our authority sectors in Baggnagia with some potential additional help from our foreign allies, which we might request, the war-torn Southern Flank will soon be entering the process of healing after having been ravaged by a long brutal war. The people of the Southern Flank region will be receiving the best humanitarian aid they ever could with our troops and humanitarian workers providing food, water, medical care and other requirements for the regional inhabitants to move on beyond the war, forgetting it as some type of a nightmare. I give all of you my word that my administration will do everything in our capabilities to return the people of the Southern Flank back to their normal lives. The Southern Flank War will not be a stain on our country’s history as we all should concentrate on moving forward and focusing how to make Baggnagia further flourish as a beautiful flower and how to make our people even happier. We are not just a nation, we are family and only we can make our home an even cozier and better place than it already is. The future of Baggnagia depends on us all.

Now, in my final statements, I would like to address the governments, the people and the militaries of all countries that had aided us in this war, as well as the ethnic Begnak minority in the Southern Flank region. Our dear allies, I would like to thank all of your for fighting alongside our country in this struggle. We could not take this any other way, but simply as an act of kindness and understanding. What began as our country’s personal struggle within our borders became a international mission of democratic nations that were willing to risk their own national securities and their own defense forces for the stability and better good of Baggnagia and its people. We had troops from multiple countries, including IFC and many others bravely fighting for Baggnagia with the exact same amount of effort as if they were fighting for their own homeland. To all of those who had fought and probably even fallen in battle, we are thankful and know that we are all praying for the good of your souls and will remain forever appreciative for what you have done for us and our beloved homeland.

Our dear Begnak brothers in the Southern Flank, right now you might feel worried that the Bagnaks might blame you for this long period of suffering that our country had to go through. Well, I want to tell you all to stop worrying right now. This war was not a conflict between Bagnaks and ethnic Begnaks. It was a conflict between the people of this country, which includes all ethnicities living here, and the terrorist organization that wanted to destroy what we had all created. We created a peaceful, free land, where all ethnicities, nationalities and religious groups were made a single big happy family. It did not matter whether or not you were Bagnak or some other nationality, if you are a citizen of Baggnagia you are part of our family. And this glorious and joyful free society that we had created has fallen victim to an evil organization that wanted to take this joy from us. Well, our mutual effort and our unity has helped fight and mutually protect our values, our happiness and our freedom from the likes of those which wanted to destroy it. Now, I would talk about this in a different manner, should I know that there is a mass support to the movement for independence of the Southern Flank from Baggnagia, however, there was no such thing and the inhabitants of the Southern Flank had told this to the rest of the country and the world themselves. The regional community became victim to the separatist violence and were used by the terrorists as a cover against the Baggnagian military. Our forces moved in to save these people. Should we have seen that the Southern Flank community wished to separate and even demonstrated it, we have had reacted differently. But nothing of a sort has happened as Telkevich and his followers were the only ones, who designed this fake independence movement to both weaken Baggnagia and have a territory of their own, where a similar time of oppressing anarchy would have taken place. That only shows that we see the Southern Flank community as part of our family as we were not willing to leave them in the bloody predator paws of Telkevich and his followers. This was not a war between the Southern Flank and Baggnagia, but it was a liberation struggle to free a big part of our glorious national family from the evil of terrorism. That only shows our unity and how important the Baggnagian family truly is, because we were not willing to abandon our brothers and sisters, when they needed us. Now that the threat has been terminated and those, who were responsible for suffering had been punished, Baggnagia can once again return to flourishing into an even greater nation that we already were.

Thank you, God bless you and may God bless the Democratic Republic of Baggnagia

With these words, President Zajc Avsenik walked away from the tribune as a country-wide celebration erupted.

After having completely surrendered to the Baggnagian military and their allies, the surviving insurgents were transported out of the region, while the SFLF and all other separatist factions had been dissolved.

Southern Flank
With the news of the death of the separatists leader, the Alorixian Military began to withdraw from the planet. The Bulk of the soldiers, vehicles and weaponry being returned to the USS Jackson. Thanks to trackers in the armors of Alorixian Troops, all going to a database with the names, rank and affiliation of the soldiers. They found most of the corpses, sending them back to the Jackson for cremation. A good 45,000 Brute and Recon troopers stayed to help reconstruction of the Southern Flanks info structure. The USS Jackson leaving the planet for Eros. Only to return when the Baggnagians no longer need them.

Fort Zorga
After long months of fighting, the Zorganese allies surrendered. With that, Zorganese command was immediately notified. After long hours of discussing the situation, the supreme leader sent an order, ordering Zorganese troops to immediately cease fire, and return to Fort Zorga. All forces immediately received this order, and followed it. Thus, a long process of all Zorganese troops and their equipment was airlifted from their respective locations, and arrived at the large base.

After arriving, the force commander sent out an official statement to all countries involved;

To: All Nations Involved
From: Zorganese High Command and Government
Encryption: None

To all whom may concern,

After long months of fighting, we regret to hear that our allies have been defeated. But, most of all, we are very glad to see that the conflict finally has ended. Although, the Southern Bagnaggian Peoples continue to live, they will not be as free as we had hoped. We formally would like to announce that all Zorganese troops are to cease fire, and return to base. They are under strict orders not to engage your troops, and we encourage you, respectful nations, not to fire upon them. We also announce that the PRZ has pulled out of the war, and would like to resume peace. After Zorganse troops are pulled out, we will dismantle the majority of the base and turn it over to the Bagnaggian government. We also return any captured equipment we have obtained, and have released all POWs in our possession.

We hope that we can resume peace, and continue to stabilize the region, for the Bagnaggian peoples.

Sincerely,

General Marx Dalof, senior commander of Zorganese forces in Bagnaggia

Weeks after the telegram is sent, the last of Zorganese troops have left the country, and have returned to Zorga. The heavily damaged base was turned over to the bagnaggian government. As the Zorganese left, they took with them about 130 South Bagnaggian Rebels to train them just in case South Bagnaggia rose up again.
