A Fatherland forgotten.
But that is to be changed.
This is the interest thread for the RP, With Friends Like These. (Linksies to be provided when thread is up should interest be shown.)
The basic plot is as follows:
Huntertopia, once a profound play in international politics with the region of Ellorea, retreated into isolationism roughly 300 years ago. Afterwards, the nation saw His power in the world dwindle to nothing, the nation's allies leave Him behind, and His position in the world drop to that of nonexistence. With the introduction of the new government, the Honourable Parliamentary Republic of Huntertopia hopes to rise back to a position long lost, a prominent figure in the international community. To do this, the Fatherland must build up His political alliances. Daniel Xavier, the Head of Parliament, sends an open invitation to all foreign leaders with the offer to visit Huntertopia for a 2 week tour across the country, followed by a 3-day tour to discuss matters of politics and international affairs.
The thread is open to all nations of all government types and backgrounds. No large amount of experience is required, but it is recommended. I can only reply to so many nations, so if I feel that the spots are feeling up, I will close new entries. I will likely accept about 5-7 countries. The openings are on a first come-first serve basis.
Here are some basic rules:
1. STAY ACTIVE IN THE THREAD. I'd like to ally myself with active RPers, so if you inactive on the thread, I will boot you.
2. BE CREATIVE ON RP. I don't expect a 10 page essay on your leader eating a donut, but it will royally piss me off to see simple paragraph responses with simple sentences. We're all intelligent fellows here, so keep them there posts int'resting.
3. NO THREADJACKING. Should be self-explanatory. I don't want to be an egomaniac, but when this thread starts, it will be centered around my politics and nation. It'll be fine to discuss other nations and their politics (and may cause other alliances
), but if you make the thread about your nations politics alone and not giving any other nation its stage in the thread, you will be booted.Hope to see some interest. Cheers!
