[The Sotoan Union]

The Sotoan Union is on the verge of collapse. For years the government has been ruled by the tyrannical Nationalist party, who have kept order through a massive police force. Now the government is dealing with a failing economy. Income taxes have hit a historic 60 percent. Revolution is brewing and multiple political parties are fighting for control. Will the government be able to restore order, or will a new government take control?

OOC: Please sign up first if you want to play. The tech level is MT. This is a revolution not a war, so players are fighting as insurgents or counter-insurgents, not well supplied generals with unlimited resources. I will periodically chime in on the side of the government.

[Hatay]

The pro-Hatay insurgency leader looked at his Rebels and Lieutenants. The leaders name was Tōran-al-Āsabin. He was backed by Hatay but not so much. He planed to set up a Democratic Socialist government. Most of his men clutched AK-47s or M16s. Tōran spoke, "Comrades, we are here to set up a glorious government in the name of Lenin and Democracy! We will overthrow this Nationalist government! Today our Comrade Assad-bin-Dōhad will strike the government. All land convoys and supply lines in our strike range will be struck by our comrade-in-arms!" Assad rose and spoke, "We will attack from hills and ridges and bring fire upon this Government." The meeting broke as different Rebels went back to smoking, sleeping or reading in the Insurgents HQ.

Here. The Imperial guard is taking their positions around the Capital.
The streets are filled with Imperial Suntroopers beating back unarmed protesters with orders to fire only if the SU government gives the word. The local airport has been taken and is being refurbished to house the Imperial Air force's Peregrine Falcon Air Squadron, the most famous of all the air squadrons.

The government has declared a state of emergency. The Sotoan Union's largest cities; Canerd, Sotoan Union City, Carrhae, Riyahd, and Ancyra have been placed under lockdown. The government has dispatched riot squads to major metropolitan areas, and the National Guard is on standby. The government has urged all civilians not to leave their cities.

At the next meeting, the convoy attackers reported and Tōran outlined the plan to shoot any civilian who lives the major cities on sight if they are trying to escape. He also planned to set bombs in Metropolitan areas if possible. Assad was told to continue attacks on land supply lines. He also tried to come with a plan to begin communication with the Tuva SSR rebels. The Tuva SSR was one of Hatay's best allies and the Rebels might get more support from the Hatayan Government.

Counter-insurgency Suntroopers have been dispatched to aide the national guard in countering the Hatayan attacks should they come to pass. Bombers are in the air awaiting orders from either the FAE or the SU.

The FAE has sent spies to infiltrate the terrorist organization. They report back with the coordinates of one of the Democratic Socialists' base camps. Bombers with incendiary weaponry are en route.

[The Sotoan Union]

The Sotoan Union gives authorization for a full scale air raid against confirmed rebel positions. All aircraft are required to confirm that targets are in fact rebels before firing. The Sotoan 5th Armored Division operating out of Ancyra has launched Operation Blackout. Armored tanks are conducting wide sweeps of the surrounding countryside to root out possible insurgents. Sotoan National Guard units are setting up defensive positions around secured territory.

OCC: I am far from this Revolution. I RP as just the rebels I back. They have no ports. You can't enter Hatay's ports.

The government can confirm that all major cities are still in Nationalist hands.

[Hatay]

The rebels have sent up a few AA guns to shoot down the bombers approaching. The leaders flee to crudely dug bunkers. They plan to launch a bomb attack. The rebel was near the city. He had needed to pass many soldiers to reach where he was now. He wore a black ski mask and a dark grey suit in the dead of night. He was near a few guards. He took out a smoke bomb and threw. He quickly put on a gas mask. As the soldiers gaged he snuck to a building wall. He placed a magnet/time bomb on the building. He set it to 15 minutes. As he ran away a soldier spotted him. The rebel ran for about 12 minutes but then a riot policeman came out and slapped a baton across the rebel's face. Blood soaked from the corner of the rebels lip. As he fell to the floor, the bomb went off. BOOM!

BREAKING NEWS. Insurgents believed to be aligned to the Pro-Hatay Insurgency have detonated numerous demolition charges near Sotoan Union City, killing 90 people and wounding at least 200. The government continues to advise citizens to stay in their cities, and to not leave their homes during lock down periods.

The Sotoan National Guard receives authorization to launch search and destroy missions against suspected rebel positions around Sotoan Union City. The Sotoan Air Force scrambles fighters from the 3rd Air Division on a precision strike against rebel AA positions. Riot Units are being equipped with tear gas and blast resistant body armor.

[Hatay]

The leaders hid in the bunker. Tōran said that air raids would come in a matter of hours. He hoped the AA guns would hold up. He had planned more bomb attacks but it looked like they would not materialize. He planned to continue convoy attacks and to wait for Hatay and maybe Tuva SSR support. Once they came he would launch RPG and sniper attacks, he already had a sniper on the loose. The sniper was armed with a rifle with a scope and a Barrette. He saw 20 guards in his way. He also had 2 tear gas grenades. He threw one. Then slipped on his gas mask and ran. once he got past the guards though he slipped off his gas mask. MISTAKE. One guard fired a canister off tear gas. It burned the sniper's eyes but he slowly went on. He busted down the door of a random house. He could hear the boots of guards approaching. He knocked out the occupants of the house that were awake (it was 10:00 pm). He went to the roof. He fired a few shots at Government-owned houses, important buildings and then incoming guards. He did not know if he hit. His eyes were still teary. He turned to go down and leave. But guards were now on the roof. The sniper shot 2 but then he was shot and then he died in 2 minutes. As for the tanks swooping the land, the rebels have responded with RPGs and Mines.

Forces of the Communist party of the Sotoan Union have launched a massive attack on an arms manufacturing facility while the government is distracted in Sotoan Union City. Communists armed with RPGs, BTRs, and Armor Piercing Rounds seize control of the factory and dismantle it. Valuable equipment is salvaged.

"Wire it up!" ordered the cockney accented voice of Asmodeus Limzung, the leader of the Markhadist Black Hand.
"Wired up, sir" replied a Black Hand member, carefully closing a seemingly harmless briefcase.
"Good. We want this operation to go smoothly. Dominic!" Asmodeus approached one of his fanatical lieutenants, Dominic, who was assembling parts of an AK47.
"Yes, Azzy?" asked Dominic.
"Any word from our man?"
"He'll be ready to receive the case at Carrhae station. Word has it some of Carrhae's city officials are going to have a meeting at their city hall. He's managed to secure a place in the conference room."
"Those government sods won't see it coming. You've done well, my boy. Tell the lads to look sharp and put on their respirators. Once the deed is done, we'll be going live to all of the Sotoan Union!" Limzung walked across the abandoned underground bunker where the Black Hand's headquarters had been set up, into his room which had burgundian curtains hanging at the entrance, functioning as a door.

[Sapin Military District]

Victor Alexiov of the Vilified Workers party overlooked a radio broadcast station. The station was in charge of broadcasting across the vast territory of The Sotoan union. It was alone, isolated. Victor looked around at the men surrounding him. They were all enemies of the Nationalists. Everyone of them hated the government with a passion. They stood overlooking the broadcast tower. Victor grasped his comlink. "Is everything in position?", he asked. "Yes Victor", a muffled voice rang. "We are in position awaiting your strike." Victor turned to his rebels and shouted. "Today we begin our struggle against the decadence and corruption of the Nationalists. All of you are here because you choose to be here. Because you choose to start the long journey towards freedom. It is a long and difficult journey, and yet we choose to take a step. Because every journey begins with a single step, and this is STEP ONE!" "SECURE THE KEY!", his men shouted in unison. A large explosion rocked the broadcasting station behind Victor, and the broadcasting tower came crashing down. Victor Alexiov's men then charged forward, assault rifle fire blazing from their hands.

Sotoan airstrikes against the rebel base were successful in destroying the AA guns, though the majority of the base commanders had hidden in fortified bunkers. Sotoan National Guard units have moved forward to engage rebels armed with RPGs and machine guns near Sotoan Union city. They are assisted by close air support from MI-24 Hinds and SU-25s. Both have been modified with bombs capable of dispersing tear gas across a large area.

[Transoxthraxia]

The Sotoan Greyshirts were an organization originally formed nearly half a century ago, by ethnic Transoxthraxians within the Sotoan Union. However, the movement soon spread outside of the Transoxthraxian communities, and the Greyshirts held considerable influence in the south west of the country. Their leader, a half-Transoxthraxian by the name of Alexandar Tikhyovin. The Greyshirts had a power base that was centered in the Greyshirt's Headquarters in the western city of Carrhae. However,Tikhyovin was holding a rally outside of the capital, where all true Greyshirt members were told to meet, with the consequence of not appearing being a permanent excommunication from the party.

Tikhyovin stood on a wooden stage overlooking the large gathering. In the background, two Greyshirt flags flew, flapping in the wind. The gathering in the rural area was massive, but Tikhyovin knew that his numbers wouldn't compare to the larger communist revolts that were going on elsewhere. However, these were probably the best military men outside of the government to ever lay their hands on a weapon. Making his hand into a fist, Tikhyovin raised his hand in a ninety-degree angle at shoulder height. Every single person in the crowd mimicked him. It was the Greyshirt greeting. Pulling his hand down, Tikhyovin began to speak with the aid of a microphone. "My fellow Sotoans. ALl of us today realize that the greatest threat to the integrity of our nation lies before us; the red line. Like a tidal wave of blood it surges against our old government, the inefficient government. They are disorganized, but many in number, and high in morale. My friends, my fellow Sotoans, today is the day that we save our country from the red line, the we say no! No communism! No red! Gentlemen, today is the day that we show the world that the tide of red can be turned. That it can be defeated. Today, my fellow Sotoans, is the dawn of a new era in Sotoan history." Tikhyovin finished. Turning around, facing the back of the stage, he addressed the clear reason for the meeting. in the field of the farmer's house, behind the stage that Tikhyovin stood on, there lay a massive arsenal of Transoxthraxian weaponry.

Ranging from assault rifles to medium tanks, the entire state-of-the-art arsenal had been provided by the Transoxthraxian government. Cheers rose from the crowd of fascists, each one louder than the last. The chant finally formed into "Lasting Empire!" Over and over again. Bodies in the crowd were pumping their fists in their air and celebrating. One of the men who was in charge of the portable arsenal handed Tikhyovin a T43 - the Transoxthraxian assault rifle. In his distinctive accent, he said over the crowd's massive din, "Gentlemen. Today is the day to rise up. Our benefactors from outside the country have been nice enough to provide us with these weapons, providing we use them to kill the enemy. You shall be each issued a T-43 rifle, and then go to your brigades, as I have told you. We assault Carrhae in a few hours. Those who have received tank training, report to the vehicles." His assistant, Alaxndr Dirgudas, an ethnic Transoxthraxian, came up to him as the Greyshirts began their arming. "Sir, you are doing a daring thing today. The reds outnumber us, and the government has the support of foreign nations."

Turning to Alaxndr, Tikhyovin said simply, "The government is not to be worried about. And the reds are numerous. They're tough, but not invincible. We both have run the simulations. We'll hit 'em hard, with force.".

[Sjovenia]

Back in the 1960's the IRAC or Irish Republican Army of chancetapher began fighting against foreign invaders but they lost as chancetapher was inducted into the other country(ceased to exist). After this they moved to the Irish-Sjovene island in Sjovenia they haven't been at war but with little skirmishes fighting between the English-Sjovene island to the east. This group was receiving funds from its Sotoan counterparts but after huge crackdowns and a failing economy their funds were coming to a halt. Today they have set up camp within Sotoa. Now they wish to fight against the government who is keeping their funds and cracking down on the IRAC members.

Lawrence Lennon was in Command of the IRAC guerrilla organization. Most of the IRAC's members were in Sotoan. He was on board an Adria Air lines flight heading to Sotoan. His trip would take about 6 hours before he stepped foot in Sotoan.

[The Sotoan Union]

Nikita Al-Rashid nervously stirred a cup of tea as the monitor in front of him blared the news. Reporters commented on the escalation of the revolution. Images of tank battles, damaged buildings, and gun fights flashed by as reporters gave estimations for death tolls and urges for civilians to stay in lock down. All around him his country was falling apart. "Mr President", a man said as he entered the room. "You need to come with me." Al-Rashid stood up and followed the man down the hall. As the two walked they were joined by numerous armed guards. Before long dozens of guards had secured the hallway, as Al-Rashid and the man entered an elevator. "Give it back.", the man spoke. "Password accepted, accessing lower levels.", replied the elevator as it descended into a long shaft. As soon as the elevator stopped and its doors opened armed men burst through and grabbed the man, ignoring Al-Rashid. After a fervent pat down they cleared him and allowed the two to walk to a secure area. The man escorted the president to a heavy vault door before stopping. "Good luck Mr. President", he said as he turned and walked away. Al-Rashid then entered the room as the vault door shut behind him. Inside were all the members of his cabinet, and numerous generals. "Mr. President", said Vincent Nguyen, Chief of Foreign Affairs. "You need to see this." Al-Rashid was handed a small briefcase, and set it on the table. He wondered how whatever was in this briefcase could be causing so much trouble as he opened it. What he saw almost made his jaw drop. Photos of medium tanks with advanced smart armor, high powered personal explosives, Surface to Air Missiles, and a high powered supersonic interceptor on a runway. "Needless to say, these are not Sotoan. Foreign countries are arming some of the insurgents, and we need to escalate this conflict if we're going to win." Nikita Al-Rashid took a long breath while wiping the sweat of his brow. "Then our worst fears have been realized."

[Sjovenia]

A man wearing a ski mask and woodland camo was holding up a mega phone speaking to the people with an Irish accent. "We must fight against this corrupt government! The continuity of this rebellion must remain so until our demands are met!" The crowd around him cheered. Both filled with IRAC members and armed Sotoans. In the distance chanting could be heard. The man holding the mega phone stood in front of the door way. He kicked open the door shouldered his mega phone and ran out carrying his AK. Every one behind him followed pouring out into the streets. The sky was dark but still lit by the fires of burning buildings, search lights, and bullet entrails. Down the street to the left were riot police. To the right were different rebels. Everybody who poured from the hallway rushed into the riot police knocking some of them down. Some hit with bats and lead pipes. Others kicked at the riot shields. And still others were shooting at the police. It was pure chaos. Further down the road another man stood wearing aviators and a trench coat. He stood watching as the police force was being overwhelmed. He was behind the police line as a van veered around the corner. As it passed him he clicked the button on his detonator before running into an alley way. The van exploded and tumbled into the police and rioters. The door to the van was opened and young rebels began shooting the survivors. Some of which were on fire and flailing and thrashing around.
