Guin squeezed Arthur's hand with all of her strength, which was boosted in that strange way all women seem to benefit from while Giving Birth. This was done while she was pushing with a contraction, beginning to squeeze her daughter out and into the world. A scream from her would echo across the building.

Arthur held in a scream of his own as Guin crushed his hand.

"There we go," Simon said serenely, "You're doing really well. Keep it up."

Guin continued pushing and squeezing with each contraction, slowly, their daughter was born.

"Our little girl, if only mommy could remember your name." Guin sobbed happily.

"Violet," Arthur said, carrying their new daughter up to Guin, his face full of pride and joy, "Princess Violet."

The new princess wailed out for mummy.

Guin reached out for her daughter to hold her, to nurse her, to love her.

"She only sees in shades of Violet right now. By the end of the first month, that passes as her eyes and Aura adjust to each other. But aside from that curiosity, everything should be normal for her." Guin said tenderly.

Violet, now in her mother's arms, calmed down and rested quietly.

"The nursery is prepared," Arthur said, "Ready for her, our precious daughter."

He turned to glance at the door.

"Our families will be waiting," He said, "Once they're done, we can let the world know."

Arthur crossed the room and opened the door.

"Come in," He invited.

The Lamberts would pause, allowing the Vexals to go in first.

And so they all did, Red leading the way. Guin kissed her daughter, then passed her over to her grandfather.

"What a pretty little girl." he remarked as he held her.

"What about the naming tradition?" Guin asked, nervously.

"Hmm? Oh, I couldn't settle on one, too many wonderful possibilities. I did however, find a lovely purple dress for a baby girl." Red commented.

Lara took Violet, made sure she was washed and cleaned from being born, diapered her, then dressed her in a lovely little purple dress that even had miniature white stockings and shoes to go with it, and a little purple headband with a fake violet attached for decoration.

"Well, then, we'll call her Violet." Guin said as Lara and Jack held Violet afterwards.

A few minutes later, Lara leaned over to Adele and passed the newborn princess on to her other Grandmother.

Leon peered over Morgana's shoulder. at Princess Violet.

"Babies, always so cute." He commented.

"It wouldn't surprise me if there was a running theme of Violet getting a new purple dress every few years. I hope she likes the color." Jack commented.

He was next to Matthew, the pair of Grandfathers yet to hold their granddaughter.

"Oh, our Aura color does tend to become one of our favorite colors. It's genetically encoded, for our sanity, so purple, and all its variations will indeed be a good go to color for her. That doesn't mean she can't like some other color. For example, I glow orange, but rather like green. Then there are some like Linka the Pink. Woman glowed pink, and adored the color to the point everything in her life was pink. Gods that woman wore a lot of pink. She even had the color of her eyes turned pink and turned her hair pink.

Still, the only thing that compares, is Dan the invisible. Hated his Aura color, did everything he could to hide it. Made him a poor magekiller. The end result? His son's Aura changed color constantly. It was a real novelty really." Lara commented.

Princess Violet went oddly silent and stared intensely at John.
Something was different about him from all the rest, something her infant mind couldn't understand

"Lucky for her, robes of state for princesses are usually Purple," Arthur said.

"The press are already assembling outside the front doors," King Matthew said, "Arthur, the stage is yours."

Red took Violet while Guin got out of bed, and into a wheelchair, not quite recovered enough to walk around yet. Then Guin held Violet while Red pushed the new mother and her daughter along to the press conference, letting Arthur lead the way.

Outside, the world's press waited, eager to see the new royal child.

"Ladies and gentelment," Arthur announced, "I would like to announce that Princess Guinevere was safely delivered of a daughter today, and so it is with great pleasure that I present the future Queen of the Nation, Princess Violet."

Cameras turned onto Guin and Violet, filming and snapping away. Arthur let them do so for one minute before turning and taking them back inside.

"Now wasn't that fun? Everyone got to see what a cute baby you are." Guin cooed to Violet.
