"Sir, new energy signatures!", a sensor officer called. "But something's not right! There is a wormhole at the Stellar South Pole and it has..."
The young officer looked at her screen in pure and simple shock.
"Lieutenant?", the Prince asked.
She tapped her screen. "Prince, there is something not right... it says, that the wormhole has a diameter of 784 kilometres!"
Silence descendet on the bridge of the Allat. The only things to be heard were the constant beeping of consoles, voices over radio, impacts on the shields.
"Contact KNS Uzza - ask them to verify our readings and..."
"Not necessary, Prince.", a communications officer said suddenly. "I have Captain al-Ahad on the line, as well as half of the fleet. They are requesting verification."
"Verify.", was Ilia's answer. "By the way, is something coming out?"
The officer looked at her screen again - and went pale.
Ilia was getting unamused. "How large?"
"5708 kilometres long. It seems to be ready to engage."
"Prepare the message...", the Prince said and rubbed his temples. This was getting rediculous - the Allat was the first ship of the third-largest shipclass in Kyrenaian service, only smaller then the old Wadi-class Heavy Cruisers and the RS-22 Replenishment Ships. Ships like his mother's flagship were 1.1 kilometres long!
That thing coming was simply 5700 times larger without even attempting to do so!

A minute later, the message went out:
Greetings, Newcomers!
This is KNS Allat of the Royal Space Command. You are entering a warzone between the nations of Sinovet and Clorinth, as well as their allies. Please state your alignment or retreat.
The Sultanate is on Sinovet's side.

The combined weapons fire from the enemy fleet had destroyed one of the Nuxipal Battlecruisers while another 6 of the Gwarm Cruisers and 20 Destroyer MKiiis were destroyed as well. The third fleet was a very big annoyance. Jeska was on the bridge her Iaso was very beat up, but its Overlay shielding had finally regenerated back up to 70%. After checking the other ships she reached the conclusion that the remaining ships could project an Overlay shielding to hold off the next few minutes of bombardment which would allow the polyshields which had been weakened to reactivate to give the wounded parts of the ship some respite in which to heal up. Already several skeletal batteries had been hit and weakened by the attacks. Her own ships were now continually firing the Agni and Tengri cannons at the Tau Fleet to break up their fleet as much as possible before the Seekers arrived. Jeska already had a withdrawal plan for her Carrier to eventually withdraw.

The three remaining battlecruisers opened fire on the new Imperium Fleet with a missile volley including 312,000 Class A AM missiles mixed in with a mass array of Plasma torpedoes being launched from the Class B and C missile launchers. The missiles were indistinguishable from the torpedoes due to the coat of plasma on the exterior. Unlike the other missile strikes this one came in one mass wave looking to confuse more than overwhelm the Imperium forces.

The Destroyers continued doing their job of intercepting incoming ordinance both in the missile and mass driver types. They primarily used PDLs for the missiles and used their own missiles for the slugs fired from rail guns and mass accelerator type of weapons.

The Surviving Gwarm Cruisers focused fire on a single Kyrenaian ship at a time using their Svarog Cannons and Agni Cannons. The hope was the combination of plasma bolts and high speed liquid metal would make fast work of the enemies.

Meanwhile back aboard the flagship Jeska receives a message.

To: Kel'ath Jeska Numena
From: High Seeker Atyos Kilek

Kel'anth, we thank you for this tip and are on our final approach. A Seeker fleet will be there momentarily. I will send a signal that will be repeated two minutes after I send this message so you know what signal to wait for. At that moment, open the FTLi and DSD fields. Allow entry to our fleet and reseal them. At which point my fleet will reinforce that field and secure the system. Nika's Light Guide you.

-High Seeker Atyos Kilek

Jeska was almost afraid. A High Seeker came on nothing short of an Asag Dreadnought. The enormous ship was a sight to see alone, but if his words were correct, "Seeker Fleet," there would be at least 13 of them. Doing the math in her head she realized what was potentially in the fleet. She wanted to be as far away from this place as possible if one of the world ships appeared. She came to her senses again as the battle raged and her ship took one more hit.

"Systems Check, can we raise the Overlay for the next few minutes of this chaotic bombardment?" The response came quick and with enthusiasm, "Aye ma'am, we took it down at 20% we are back up to 71. The other ships also report high enough readings, all destroyers at 100% the Gwarms average 85." Jeska nodded, "Good, activate the Overlay shielding immediately we have back up coming and I plan on having whats left of this task force alive when they get here."

With that the energy field that was taken down earlier was projected outwards again. Suddenly the shots that had been making an impact on the IKN vessels were registering as hitting a shield several hundred kilometers away from any of the ships. As this happened the enormous vessel appeared out of the wormhole at the star. "Oh Gods, that is a big ship. I don't think I have the pull to bring a world ship here.. hopefully the Seekers do or they are in for one hell of a fight."

Sobrik

The shells hit the ground among the entrenched troops decimating them. The survivors dug in further and requested the carrier deploy the Yolkins with them and other similar fortified positions. Down to 120,000 on that defensive line the men there were dug in and still waiting for the reinforcements from the carrier.

Further into the city, the Grogs had begun their preliminary assault. A few divisions, about 50,000, were being directed towards the Glitepe Hills to regain them for the Clorinthians. They would bring with them 50 of the Locust fighter tanks to battle with the Sinovet Tanks. Further to the rear another round of 150 dropships were coming in. They would deploy their forces and return to the carrier. This time however several other craft arrived. Small, about 20 ft long, which floated several dozen meters in the air. It projected a shield around the Grog forces as they were led to the hills.

The Carrier above the city had taken a few hits itself. A chunk of the carrier had broken off and fallen into the city. The old ship was deploying its troops as fast as it could. 150 ships had head to the assault force and another 50 were going to add troops to the defensive line. All of the Yolkin Projection Array Craft were deployed already, 26 of them, and it would take some time before the second carrier took action. Unfortunately that action would not take place here. There had been some kind of energy disturbance on the planet prior to the appearance of the strange craft in space. The second carrier had been reassigned to locate this source and find a way to get to it.

The fire from the Mantas batters the vessel, creating chasms in her hull that nanites rush to refill. However, with the Mantas withdrawing (new mass signatures had been detected, although what they actually are has yet to be deciphered), the ship could now focus the weapons that were engaging them on the Tau fleet properly. And as they do, the fire from the Pordish detachment increases considerably as hundreds of 127mm particle beam cannons and Dark Phaser Arrays retrain and open up on them. This time, however, the 127mm PB-C fire in concentrated anti-capital ship streams, instead of the bolts that were being utilized before. In typical Nalydian fashion, the entire offensive weapon complement of VRZ High Island now focuses mainly on the largest capital ships, and work their way down.

For their part, the Tau would likely notice the vast majority of their fire impacting the dark sphere surrounding the Pordish formation. Explosive, particle & energy-based attacks mostly meet their end here, however the more dense and heavier slug-based attacks force their way through, rapidly closing the distance to the ship itself and impacting. On his bridge, Captain Häzhel-nam Koch notes that the volume of fire would play serious hell with a fleet of smaller vessels (indeed it would seem even the vaunted IKN were catching hell from them), however, he considers himself fortunate that here in this verse, it would seem the enemy lacks true anti-capital ship weaponry & remains content with pounding away at the surface of his ship, inflicting mainly superficial damage. And yet - as if by providence - he makes note of the casualty reports coming in from the various gun decks. He waves his hand, moving them behind some extra tabs on his displays, preferring to push them out of his mind. Only... Superficial, he continues to muse...

His thoughts are then broken by the Sensors Officer, who appears to be trying to get his attention... "Captain! Another wormhole has been detected! Captain?"
"Yes," he replies, turning to the blue-clad man, "go on?"
"And another large object has appeared!"
"How large?"
"Appears to be marginally longer than our own Kulschenkrazh battlestations. It's massive."
"More vessels, again?" he questions, with a touch of distaste that would seem more fitting if it belonged to a certain admiral on the bridge... (The irony of the situation is not lost on that admiral, who merely smirks as he watches nam Koch.)
"Very well. Forward a situation update to VRZ High Command. I'm sure they'll be interested." thus, the captain.
"Tasi," comes a reply from elsewhere on the bridge.

Planetside:

The ZJR elements begin to stream in, moving rapidly towards their landing zones. These would be very near Sobrik. Thousands of landing craft dot the skies as the Pords descend, escorted by the rift cruiser Y-898.

“Very well Azrael. I however suggest that we call a tactical retreat. All our fleets have sustained some heavy damage and we could use the time to recoup our loses. I suggest we meet up here.” The Captain point to a point on a star map about 10 light years away 15 minuets travel with tau gravitic drives. “Prince I suggest that your fleet pulls out first because you’ve taken the heaviest fire. The Tau and IOM ship will cover you has you leave the DSD/FTLi field. Your fighters will be securely sowed with in our ships. Next we will jump to that point then the IOM because they have the heaviest and most durable craft here. When we get there we can discuss stratagem without being shot at. Also we are tracking 13 warp signatures closing in. They are larger then almost anything here and match Nuxipalian craft signatures.” Ensign: “Captain the escort has been evacuated and the Drone controller has been activated. The Stealth Fighters are also in positions. The ion cannons don’t see to be doing any real damage. “Have the Stealth Fighters fire at will and switch all ion cannon batteries over to overcharge mode. Then activate the drone.” The bridge crew rushed around to carry out the orders. Orders sent. Captain: “I want continuous fire from all guns on the VRZ High Island. They are to stop only if they might hit the drone.” Batteries firing. The tau line opened up again. But also in the middle of the VRZ fleet fire came from an unknown source. While not very strong they it came from under the fleets shielding and was concentrated at key critical point on the hull. This how ever was not the main show. One of the Kir'la Carrier Escorts quickly edged out of formation and began hurtling itself at the VRZ High Island when it was 100 meters the Tau gun stop for fear of hitting it. At 50 meters the gravitic shield morphed into a dense ram on the prow and hit picked up even more speed. It then slammed into the VRZ High Island

agreed but i don't take too long the council hates it when we lose ships due to a tactical withdraw.

captains i have bad news. it would seem as if the round missed its mark.

Azrael: what do you mean you think we missed. Did we or didn't we miss commander.

we missed sir

Azrael: very well our fleets are planning a tactical withdraw from the battle and will need cover so i want all ships to fire lance and torpedo rounds id twenty second intervals for ten minutes at the source if the FTLi Field. while we do this i want the imperial heart to fire its orbital bombardment cannon at the same target. continue this pattern until the other fleets have withdrawn or the target has been destroyed.

it will be done

commander: attention fleet attention fleet you have been ordered to fire torpedo and lance rounds in twenty second intervals for ten minutes. start on our orbital bombardment cannon shot.

sevitor: round ready to fire in 3..2..1.. chamber is hot.

commander: then lets start this show.

sevitor: very well commencing fire in 3...2...1...firing round 1.

"Well, I can't say, that I oppose the idea.", Ilia answered the proposal. "I am now sending out orders for the first ships to disengage and retreat."
"Prince, we should send the Manawat first, the enemy concentrates heavy fire on her!", an officer said. "Her escorts report severe losses."
The Prince nodded. "You heard the gentlemen! Tactical retreat and regroup! And prepare couriers to each and every world under our rule and to each and every of our allies. We will need every ship, every fighter, every soldier and everything else we can!"
"Yes, Prince, at once!"
Ilia turned back to the hologram of the allied commanders. "Thanks."

“You’re welcome Prince. See you on the far side,” Said the Captain and ended the feed, “All ships prepare for jump. Move the friendly fighters to the fighter bays. Dock the escorts onto the gravitic hooks and recall the repair drones. Have the Stealth fighters link up and set them to self autonomous mode. And have the capitals provide covering fire for the retreating Kyrenaian forces.” The fleet has been notified and is in motion.

Orbit:

The fighting begins to wind down. Cholanrüchen make their way back to their respective carriers, and the VRZ High Island watches as the enemy begins to withdraw. And yet, even in this state, the combat continues. Attacks had been launched by the small mass signatures, but not much damage had been inflicted. For a hull whose armour was designed with slugging it out in large fleet engagements against primary capital ship weapons, it was laughable to think such weaponry would be effective. There's a reason the shields and armour are nearly three kilometers thick. Even so... A few Tau rounds land a bit farther off, kicking off a great amount of the LNS & FCNA skin, and many great portions of the ship seem to resemble some cratered asteroid's surface.

Tertiary Gun Deck; Primary Fire Control Directory:

"Sir! Tau vessel approving! Bearing 1-7-9! Distance from Array: 500! Closing Rapidly!"
"Roger that." he moves a few displays, continues: "Batteries TGD55A1 -A5, re-target and engage."
"Tasi, engaging," come the replies from the comms.
"Array Sectors 17.642386; -42.401733 through 17.642386; -39.105835 engage."
"Tasinehdao!"

As the vessel advances, five 5,500cm PSKR batteries engage it, firing two salvos totaling some ten shells. Simultaneously, the Array's surface erupts again in the local area, disgorging a sickening display of kinetic javelins and powerful particle beams. The nanites of the Array themselves seem to take pleasure in their job...

The destruction is complete.

Bridge of the VRZ High Island:

"They're withdrawing." Sensors Officer.
An over-excited bridge officer speaks up: "Admiral, let's take our cruisers and crush them!"
"No. We'll let them go," replies the admiral. "We don't want to take the honour out of victory."
"They'll be back. You know this," calls the High Hunter.
"Yes. I know," replies the Admiral. "Open a line with the IKN. Message them 'How are you holding?'"
"Tasi," replies the Comms Officer.

To the IKN a comms line is opened, with the message "How are you holding?" sent as the opening.

Local Rift Space:

Finally, the Nalydian reinforcement fleet arrives. It sits in rift space, gathering information on the battlefield. An incredibly far distance from the star, there are fleets moving to engage one another. Groups closer to a planet appear to be withdrawing... And then the unmistakable bulk of VRZ High Island. The fleet does not exit the realm, however. One of the Chorkenzhel class vessels emerges from rift at the edges of the interdiction layers - cloaked - and flashes a message to the IKN force in-system via quantum entanglement:

Requesting FTLi and DSD clearance for Imperial Nalydian Battlegroup.

Another message is sent to the VRZ High Island as well, notifying them they had arrived.

Orbit Above the Pony Lands
Aboard the Cumulonimbus

The bridge of the Orbital Artillery Barge was alight with activity as the various officers manned their own respective stations. The Weapons Station Officer sat relaxed in her chair, performing routine scans for targets for the Tertiary Cannons, while the Communications was on fire. In the center of the vast bridge sat an elevated pedastal surrounded by brass railing, here stood the Captain of the vessel, Fang Point. The Captain stood stoic, viewing the unveloping battle with rapt attention. The Communications Officer swiveled in his seat, "Captain Point, we've received message from one of the vessels. Orders?"

The Captain cleared his throat and nodded, "Let me see them Lieutenant." The single message appeared on screen. The Captain grunted and followed up with the Lieutenant, "Ready a message back to the KNS Allat."

The Lieutenant tapped at his steely grey terminal for a moment before turning, "Ready when you are Captain."

To: KNS Allat
From: EAS Cumulonimbus
We are aware of the danger of the area, thank you. We give you are earnest support and apologies regarding your retreat, as it so seems, and wish you luck in further engagements. We are supporting Sinovet. For the Enclave!

The Captain finished speaking and nodded, "Send it, Lieutenant."

The Communications Officer nodded and tapper at his terminal once more, "Done, Captain."

Captain Point nodded once more and relaxed and kept eyes o the two rival vessels. The Cumulonimbus was far, far away, but that wouldn't stop them from engaging the Barge it they fancied so. The Captain looked to the Weapons station, "Ensign, are Tertiary Armaments at the ready?"

The Weapons Officer turned in her chair with a slight nod, "Yes Captain, Tertiary Weapons are hot."

"Good." Captain Point smirked cockily and looked out into the vacuum of space.

9:36 PM Relative Terrestrial Time
Primary Neural Control Point, Tleilax Nabolom
36 AU from the Sun

The cold space far out from the star was ripe with Kopaz drones. The Nabolom had a entourage of 128 Stetz, with several dozen more being unfolded from their storage positions. Three of these had left the Nabolom's proximity and now sped towards the battle father in the system. A myriad of smaller craft drifted in a massive cloud, idly cruising in stand-by, following the Nabolom's lead. The Tleilax warship at the center of this tremendous drone fleet did not seem to be the same vessel that had entered the system. With it's maw open, the entire front of the ship had shifted to support this potent weapon, while the massive fleet storage array that comprised the majority of the ship was almost unrecognizable in it's deployment patterns. Even the sleek silver finish of the ship's very surface had changed. With the shift into battle readiness, the Nabolom's skin had adapted an extremely hard super-crystalline internal structure, rendering the surface rough and giving it the appearance of tarnished metal.

2.5 AU father out from the central star, the Nabolom's spacial distortion sensors detected a cluster of large space-time basins. The other sensors confirmed them as the Abomination Hive Carriers. A shudder ran through the Nabolom's nerve network at the sigh of them. The enemy ships had a gothic quality to them, filled with intricacies and arching beams. The entire thing was alive. Huge cavernous spaces within held swarms of smaller creatures, vicious predators with which to attack the Kopaz. The creatures of the Abomination were nearly infinite, and their swarm here was formidable. Thousands of Hive Carriers, each half the size of the Nabolom itself converged on the Kopaz Tleilax and it's drone fleet. At the heart of the enemy swarm, the Queen of this fragment of the Abomination resided in her flagship, which itself was over 25,000 km in length, an bulged out with monumental swarm carrying receptacles, packed full of attack creatures hungering to tear through Kopaz machinery.

The Abomination was already closing the gap to the Nabolom. The Kopaz Captain glared at its sensor readings. There was a pause, then it issued the order. Almost instantaneously, the cloud of Kopaz drones shifted towards the Abomination. The multiple billions of Tacs hurtled ahead, forming a metallic tidal wave of drones. They were follow closely by speeding Ketps. The Nabolom's sensors automatically tagged the Abominations that were emerging from the enemy's nesting cavities. The tidal wave of Tacs adjusted their courses slightly as they veered towards their victims. Farther behind, a triple staggered line of Dorgans armed their weapons, loading bombs into their tubes. The Dorgans accelerated explosively on their pseudo-thrust bulge in space time. A veritable armada of Ravets was hot on their tails, easily keeping up with the leading wave. Looming farther behind, the Nabolom's entourage of Stetz slowly plodded along their new courses, directed by the Tleilax itself.

The Tleilax Nabolom's shiphead was splayed wide open, it's segments forming the fangs and claws of the Maw that sat at it's center. At the command of the Primary Neural Control Point, the shiphead began to swivel ponderously on the Collar, zeroing in on one specific Hive Carrier. The Nabolom's directive moved the drones aside, clearing a straight path to the hostile vessel. Power surged to the ship's menacing Maw, which began to glow with energy. In an instant, the Maw spat that titanic energy into a blinding EM beam, shedding light all across the spectrum. The beam stabbed through the void, hitting the living matter of the Abomination Hive Carrier. The Abomination was incinerated on contact. A burning pulse rocked the colossal ship, blasting it's innards into the void, reducing them to a shriveled crisp. The living ship was dead. The ship was not even fully incinerated by the time the Nabolom's shiphead was already panning towards a new victim. The Kopaz drones and the Abomination's creatures were closing fast. In just a few minutes, they would meet, and all hell would break loose.

12:01 AM Relative Terrestrial Time
Central AI Nexus, Stetz Nabolom 87
Planetary Orbit

Looming in the mind of Stetz 87 was a single overriding directive put forth by the Nabolom. It, Stetz 86 and 85, and their automated compliments, were charged by the Mothership with the retrieval of the Failsafe capsule. When dealing with the Abomination, every advantage was vital, every improvement a necessary one. Now, the three Stetz of the Nabolom were releasing their drone subsidiaries into orbital space. A handful of Ravets and a few dozen Dorgans had already broken off from the cluster along with a reasonable compliment of Tacs. They fell from orbit steadily, calculating their trajectory so as to arrive in the surface region designated as Sinovet. The Tleilax Totchkmari had correctly identified a ground based incursion along the northerly portion of this region. Stetz 87 had detected a non-terrestrial vessel, attributed to one of the orbital fleets, supporting one point of the incursion. The Stetz tagged that point as the target for it's drone subsidiaries already descending from orbit. The secondary and tertiary groups of Ravets and Dorgans were directed to the primary beachhead of the hostile incursion. A formidable force of Tacs and Ketps accompanied them. Stetz 87 now departed it's two companions and descended from orbit after it's subsidiaries. It was set on a course for Sinovet's capital, to commence the process of extracting the Failsafe capsule.

Prince Ilia looked at the message displayed on his pad and the pads of the fifteen other persons in the meeting room. Six of them were there as holograms, one awakened from deep slumber, another one pulled out of her lecture hall and a third one had been in a very close engagement with his wife.
The Sultana sat at the head of the table, moderating the meeting between her children and grandchildren, all to decide in the end by herself - all it was about was the exchange of opinions, free and undisturbed.
"We should tell them, that we will return with more ships in three days.", Ilia threw into the room. "All we need are emergency repairs and reinforcements after all."
The Sultana nodded. She seemed old anf frail, older and frailer then at the beginning of the day. "After all, we have vengeance to take. It got personal."
"Why is that?", asked the youngest of the bunch, Princess Pelin, a beautiful young woman and ambassador in the capital of a very dear friend, as well as student at the local university.
Both the Prince and his mother exchanged a glance. "Aaron is dead."
"Then it is personal!", Idris, Spectability of the University of Utica, said. Outbust like these were uncommon for him, he was a calm scientist. Aaron and he had been very good friends, one developed the weapons and another one took the most of glee out of using them. "Allow me to bring the prototypes!"
"No.", the Sultana interjected. "It would take too long to mobilize them."
Idris took a deep breath of air to retort, as Rasha, another princess, one with fire in her soul, who ascended from a Major at the 1st Scout Division to be prepared to serve as the Lady-Commander of the Army, spoke up: "Speaking of which, what will you be able to lead into battle?"
This was something, which let a small smile blossom on Ilia's lips.
As soon as the rally point was set, he ordered the retinue of his fleet there - docking ships, tugs, replenishment ships, hospital ships, depot ships, repair ships, everything the human mind could think of. Within not even three hours, they assembled in a mannder, which allowed them to immediately begin with their duties.
Sadly, many warships were unusable anymore and were scrapped and salvaged at the place, their still working parts used to fix up other ships.
Redbeard began with 5 Battlecarriers Sultan-Süleyman-class, 15 Battlecruisers Yatagan-class, 20 Heavy Cruisers Utica-class, 6 Missile Cruisers Gordion-class, 60 Light Cruisers Rasha-class, 60 Escort Frigates EF-552A-class, 20 Aussault Frigates AF-102-class, 30 Patrol Frigates PF-887-class, 25 Replenishment Ships RS-22-class.
Of that, only 3 Yatagans, 9 Uticas, 14 Rashas, 3 AF-102s and 2 PF-887s were still in fighting condition or capable of being brought back to it within the time set for the emergency repairs, not counting in the 60 EF-552As, which Ilia took over. Thousands, tenthousands of men and women died within these engagements of Redbeard and his Remains.
The Prince himself came as the first wave of reinforcements with 10 Carriers Allat-class (among them the Allat herself), 150 BR-111 Blockade Runners, 60 Aaron-class Cruisers, 5 Wadi-class Heavy Cruisers, 15 Sultan Süleyman class Battlecarriers, 10 Golden Eagle class Carriers, 30 Utica-class Heavy Cruisers, 150 Rasha-class Light Cruisers, 120 EF-552A-class Escort Frigates (there were the 60 taken from Redbeard included) and 56 PF-887-class Patrol Frigates.
Left were 8 Allats (the Manawa had to be scrapped and the Nasr was destroyed still at the place), 102 BR-111s, 8 Aarons (ironically, the Aaron herself was nearly unharmed, but not due to the lack of fighting), the Wadi-class Heavy Cruiser Iteru, 6 Süleymans, 2 Golden Eagles, 15 Uticas, 86 Rashas, 43 EF-552As and 21 PF-887s. All of them were to be repaired back to combat conditions or were already there.
Seen together, it wasn't that bad, it was a large fleet - of damaged ships.
Two things made this proclamation hard to swallow: One, with the losses already sustained, hundreds of thousands of men were dead. Two, their complements, although newer numbers looked brighter, were crippled beyond recognition.
Sure, they now had fighters to spare, but they seriously lacked pilots.
It wouldn't be enough. That prompted the Sultana to speak the words, each and every one of them didn't want to hear: "Activate Protocol Dardan."
Complete silence.
"I confirm, Dardan it is.", Elay, commander of Volci and therefore current commander of Wadd, said grimly.
"I confirm, Dardan." The words spoken by Princess Selma were choked out. It would be her duty as ambassador to inform their allies about this new development.
"I confirm. Dardan." Ilia, too, struggled with the words. He was the last one to confirm and send a black humoured smile at his mother. "I hope you don't have a super-secret fleet none of us know about up your sleeves?"
"You have to forgive me, but your great-grandfather was wise, but not that wise to make this investment. His descendands weren't that wise either." The Sultana smiled sadly. "We will have to take the toys from the children, which is the aristocracy. Anyone having a list?"
Protocol Dardan was the mobilization of every ship with a gun. They were set under the Sultana's beck and call, even if the aristocracy didn't like it. Originally, it was made by Ilia's father and his mother's late husband, Sultan Dardan, who wanted to have a reinsurance for bad times.
The aristocracy and private owners, completely powerless on international scale, but with their own fleets, had to answer these call no matter what. It also included a complete mobilization of all capable pilots (and if they were to be pulled out of retirement homes or their lecture halls) and all reservists.
They wouldn't be able to do it for long if they wanted to have an industry after this.
An officer of the RSCI brought a datapad with the list. It was... impressive, to say the least:
3 Allats, 274 BR-111s, 104 Uticas, 258 Rashas, 13 Yatagans, 2 Wadis, 744 EF-552s of different models, 267 PF-887 of private services, 301 PF-887s of police service, 25 Aarons, 145 auxillary carriers of different models, hundreds of multi-purpose ships of smallest size and all with the corresponding complements.
The Sultana put away the list and looked at the assembled officers, aids, her children and grandchildren. "I want these ships here. Within two days. On the dawn of the third, we will attack. Ilia will lead the fleet, I will lead the ground assault."
"Ground assault?", at least five voices asked.
"Sure." The old woman smiled. "What do you think Blockade Runners were used for when there was a planetery siege when I was your age?!"

A lone communications officer send a response to the Pregasus Enclave Ships:
To: EAS Cumulonimbus
From: KNS Allat

I wish you the best of luck, friends. We will return and fight by your side.

Signed,
Prince Ilia

Alright, this one will be the last straw, which I can pull. It is virtually everything, which I have left. I will leave out the "hundreds of multi-purpose ships of smallest size", because they would only cause havoc.
All in all, it is:
    16 Yatagans
    128 Uticas
    358 Rashas
    3 AF-102s
    591 PF-887s
    11 Allats
    376 BR-111s
    8 Aarons
    3 Wadis
    6 Süleymans
    2 Golden Eagles
    787 EF-552s of different models
145 Auxillary Carriers of different models
    + corresponding complements
This is the fleet, which I will come back with.
I think, that this will be more or less permitted, especially seen, that my dear opponents and allies called out fleets of hundreds and even thousands of kilometres length. It is rather tame, if you ask me. ;)

Using the drone as a distraction seems to have worked, also the Kyrenaian forces have successfully retreated. Captain: “Make fine preparations for jump, and send a message to the other fleets when we get to the rendezvous point that we can meet on the Du Fio'tak. Jump on my mark… Mark.” The Tau fleet slowly slipped into the Realm known as the Warp or inmaterium.

Captians the other fleets have fallen back and are now moving on to rendezvous point. Firing last rounds and moving out of FTLi field.

Azrael: good get a move on then.

Yes sir ships will be out of the FTLi field in ten seconds form now.

Azrael: good. Well brothers should we ask for “it”.

Sir Charles: why “it” we aren’t trying to blow up the planet here we still need it?

Azrael: not for blowing up the planet but to shoot at that blasted FTLi field source.

Sir Charles: are you insane if we miss we could blow up the planet. Beside that there’s no way the council will allow us to take “it” and shoot it at any thing besides a planet for many reasons. First the rounds are expensive not even the council has that much money why do you think we only having a few of those ships in existence. Second if the ship was to be damaged it would stop working and the tech priests on mars would have to work on that one for hundreds of years until the machine spirit is finally happy. And third I can not think of it at the moment but it is important.

Azrael: I’m fully aware of this problem and I will handle the fine details if we do with this option. so is it a yes or a no.

Sir Charles: I vote no

Gabriel Seth: I vote no. but I suppose we should let the other fleet commanders know what your idea is and have them give there in put.

Azrael: probably a good idea I just wanted to get things moving from this point.

Captians we are now entering the warp.

Azrael: good commander you’re just in time. Send messages to the other fleets if we should bring the exterminatus ship with us next go around and use it in unconventional ways.

Ok right away, but what do you mean by unconventional ways so when they ask I can answer the question.

Azrael: if you really must know its to shoot at ships not the planet.

Oh ok that makes al lot more sense now I will be right on it.

"Prince, energy signatures.", an officer calmly reported - his commander was more occupied with watching the repairs on the Ruda, as she floated alongside the Allat. She took some pretty mean looking hits, but all in all, she was still capable of doing her job. "It is our allies, the Tauian and the IOM fleets."
"Greet them kindly and welcome them to the Temporary RSC-Station Sarah.", Ilia replied with his mind occupied elsewhere. "And offer them hospitality. As well as apologies for us not having a Thermae with us."
"Yes, Prince." Suddenly, the communications looked a little bit surprised. "IOM-Flagship is proposing the usage of a weapon, which can destroy a planet, to fire at an enemy ship. And the Captain of Or'es El'leath is proposing a meeting between the Fleet Commanders."
"Sure, go ahead. And I seriously hope, you just said that right." The Prince smiled a little bit. Welders began their work on the Ruda.
"Ores Elleath - just like you write it.", the man of roughly ten years more replied.
Ilia suddenly spun around. "Wait, what?"
"Ores Elleath - just...", the officer repeated.
"No, no, no, no, no!", the Prince interjected rudely. "No. This IOM-thingy - something about destroying a planet with a shot and aiming the weapon at a ship?!"
"Yes, Prince."
"How good are their targetting systems?"

Jump is successful Captain we have received a message from the Kyrenaian fleet. They welcome us ‘RSC-Station Sarah’. And the IOM fleet has sent us a message too. They…they…want to use Exterminatus ship to hit the enemy fleet… Captain: “Hum I will need to think on that. In the mean time respond to the Kyrenaian fleet in kind, also tell them that we can retrofit some new reactors and such onto there fighters and ask if they need help with repairs. Message the closest Tau fleets and tell them to come here, and contact the closest weapons stock pile to bring us 10 cyclonic torpedoes. Also start repairs on our own ships.” Messages and orders sent. I will have to protest the use of the cyclonic torpedoes if we miss and hit the planet then the damage done will be catastrophic. Captain: “Complaint noted.”

Captains we are finally out of warp and it appears the Kyrenaian fleet has sent us a welcome

Azrael: in the form of what

A message. anyways it appears we have no word on the “it” subject.

Azrael: I was expecting that. But in the mean time take us in for repairs and rearming. Also ask the tau if we can experiment with there ionic and antimatter weapons.

Right away sir

Azrael: well it would seem brothers there will be a price to pay for our idea to end this war fast. But that’s to be expected after all we are talking about a massive wmd that if we miss could have a horrible effect on the whole galaxy. And we need to see if we can get some more forces out here to help win the space battle.

Sir Charles: i agree on the second part of your statment

Gabriel Seth: same here

Orbit

A response is sent back to the Pords

From: Former Ambassador to Nalydya Jeska Numena

My forces have taken a beating. We are preparing to drop the FTLi and DSD fields for the High Seeker. if you have reinforcements, now is the time to deploy. The High Seeker will not activate his right away, but when he does he may do more than just the small area we have. Make your move quickly.

The overlay shield had again been taken down as it dropped below 20 percent. Weapons were now focused on the Iaso Carrier. They were focusing on the sources of the FTLi and DSD fields, which was understandable. Unfortunately for them, they would never know if their shots were going to be effective enough to break through the layers of flesh and metal to reach the depths of the ship where the FTLi was. Instead it was deactivated at the command of High Seeker Atyos Kilek who led a fleet of seekers. As the field was dropped an enormous magnetic storm kicked up as the Seeker Fleet tore open more than 100 rift canals. The energy release from the tears in space time would blind most sensors until they closed behind the ships. Due to the sheer volume of openings the ships emerging were cloaked by the energy that was being released.

An outpouring of Plasma bolts and energy beams lit up the sky as if a second sun had just been born near the world. Out of the clouds first floated a Mri'jir Command Ship. Its size dwarfed the previous command ship, but it was a metal construct. Following it were 39 Manta Ray shaped Asag Dreadnoughts in a hallow pyramid formation with the Mri'jir at the center. Continuing the pyramid were 104 Oni Battleships. To finish out the fleet 12 Dawn Class Monitiors were positioned in the heart of the pyramid where no fire could reach them. Also scattered within the fleet was 182 Destroyer Mk iii were filling gaps between the Pyramid formation to provide heavier anti-missile defense.

The Stream of plasma was still coming out of this fleet being directed towards the Imperium and Tau warships while the Mri'jir was the focal point. Its double hull structure would be well hidden until it opened its fighter bays and launched its own assault that way.

Further up the Iaso was still taking a beating. Jeska ordered the Fighter Swarm to loose upon their attackers as another round crashed into the ship disabling one of the Svarog Cannons. "High Seeker, with your arrival my usefulness here is at an end. I have launched my fighter swarm and the Kurians controlling them will transfer control to those aboard your craft. The Darkness may be here, i am sending you the targeting information of the potential Darkness ships as well as the location of an energy source on the surface that we believe drew them here."

High Seeker Atyos looked over his information and decided, "That energy source must be removed or destroyed. We will use a Monitor to take orbital command directly above its location and launch a ground assault. Once we have the area secure we will use bombardment lasers to drill beneath the surface until we reach that power source. Kel'anth Jeska, you are relieved of command. Fleet Commander Jeska, withdraw your remaining ships and prepare them for refit and repairs at The Forge." As he finished this up he realized most if not all of the enemy ship had vanished once the FTLi/DSD had been dropped. Disappointing.

He looked at the overall situation, the Xanthiri commander had done well in containing the battle, but her grogs were not getting the job done. A real army would have to be used to defend the drill site. Nothing else mattered. He sent word down to the nation labeled Clorinth:

To: Clorinthian Government
From: High Seeker Atyos Kilek of the Mri'jir Command Ship IKN Light of Nika

My order has determined the source of the Sinovet army is at these coordinates. Focus your attacks there and we will provide assistance in anyway we can.

Beneath the Seas, Off the coast of Sinovet

The Carrier that had remained submerged was notified of its change in duty. It Immediately took off out of the sea and began taking ground fire. It was heading towards Anthracite Bay Citadel where they would try and take the fortress and hold it until a Monitor can take position over Zaria and begin to capture that city. It would be hard with just grogs and a few dozen Locust Fighters, but the attempt would have to be made. The Nidhoggur Carrier prepared its weapons to soften the LZ as much as it possibly can.

Bridge of the VRZ High Island:

"Very well. It appears we will be in for quite the slog," notes the Admiral through the comms link. Another link is then opened; it is from the Chorkenzhel class runner. He takes the information in, nodding as he does. Then, to the Kesrithi: "Our fleets have arrived. Good hunting. We shall bring the Jlokstazh." With that, the line is cut.

From the Sickly Realm of Rift Space:

As with the IKN, the Pords too arrive: 52 vessels of the Voznayte Rekazhgrazhni Zhamra, a veritable wall of guns & armour & men. They emerge from rift at a steady, inexorable pace, shedding the energies of the realm as they claw their way into coherent space-time.

The largest of these ships - the massive 360km long Nezhote Dritzhalbnar class command battleship VRZ Jlokhemit's Trident - sits at the centre of the Pordish formation. Deployed two astern and two ahead, are the four 160km long Grazhniarzhnüt class line battleships VRZ Wintry Tempest, VRZ Arctic Gust, VRZ Glistening Snowfall and VRZ Raging Blizzard. To their flanks are the eight 78km long Rekazhenkor class line battleships. And arrayed spherically around these battlewagons, are the remaining vessels of the detachment, while the Chorkenzhel take up their positions elsewhere... One remains in rift while the other three engage their cloaking and screen the force.

Bridge of the VRZ High Island:

"Admiral! Our reinforcement fleet has emerged from rift in the vicinity! They are assuming combat positions." Sensors Officer.
"Hail them."
"Tasinehdao"

A line is established between the VRZ High Island and the VRZ Jlokhemit's Trident.

"We have come to assist your formation, Admiral." the voice is from an old man. Both the captain and the admiral on VRZ High Island take more than a few seconds to recognize the man. The realization then hits.

"Herr Heinz, it is truly an honour to be in the presence of such an accomplished officer as yourself," replies the admiral.
"I trust the situation here is under control?"
"Tasi, we have achieved orbital superiourity for the time being. How long that will last... Is anyone's guess."
"Very well," returns Heinz.

With that, VRZ High Island cuts the comms link, then a small encrypted packet of relevant information is sent to the new fleet. Outside, a shuttle is seen moving away from the VRZ High Island and towards the new fleet. Inside is the High Hunter, who promptly makes his way to the VRZ Jlokhemit's Trident.

Bridge of the VRZ Jlokhemit's Trident:

The bridge of the VRZ Jlokhemit's Trident is not unlike that of the High Island. Two of the tall walls are encased in sheets of water, with tridents and animal skin pelts adorning other portions of walls. As one can imagine, there is considerable distance between the walls and any of the actual hardware, which tends to be waterproof anyway. At the rear of the room, the High Hunter makes his way towards Admiral Heinz and the ship-captain.

"What are we looking at here," questions Heinz.
"Very strange things... One or two large vessels, as well as numerous anomalies farther out in the system."
"Can you verify, sensors?" (Heinz)
"Tasi! Anomalies located! Significant mass signatures identified!" Sensors Officer.
"Captain?"
"Yes sir?"
"Bring us closer to the planet."
"Tasi."

The Nalydian formation mirrors the movements of the flagship.

North of the Glitepe Hills, Sobrik:
34th Yamsai'an Brigade-Chünezhnar; 8th Division-Chünezhnar:

The midday sun shines brilliantly in the sky as the Pordish boots hit Sinovetite soil for the first time. The Pords are on the ground. The blue-clad men of the ZJR move rapidly to secure the area; Array shielding is brought online over it and artillery pieces are dug in. As the tanks and other heavier equipment land, the officers of the formations pour over their holographic maps, plotting the best route of attack to take. Above them the 1.5km hulk of the rift cruiser Y-898 looms menacingly over the battlefield, casting a dark shadow over a considerably large area.

Nürzh: "Looks like the IKN have landed in this area..." - he sweeps his hand over the map, eyeing their probable avenue of attack - "Interesting. We'll be the first ones to attack," he says to his battalion commanders. "For now, I want everyone to dig in."

They give their replies of affirmation and go to work executing the orders. All throughout the Pordish lines, men wearing uniforms of blue & gray scurry this way and that, tanks rumble through the dirt and heavier vehicles move massive artillery pieces into position.

Aboard the Or'es El'leath (Custodian) Class Battleship Korst'la'cea
Captain the stealth fighter drones have engaged and the observer drone we drop in orbit is counting 390 new Ships of varying size. Captain: “Message the other 2 commanders to meet on the Du Fio'tak in 30 minuets.” Incoming message from 2 tau fleets they say they are one the way here and they have 5 Or'es El'leath Class Battleships, 13 Lar'shi'vre Class Cruisers, 3 Skether'qan Class Starships, 35 Kir'la Carrier Escorts, and 3 Kir'shasvre Heavy Escorts ships per a fleet. Also the cyclonic torpedoes have been cleared for use and are on the way. Captain: “Good.” We have also received a message that 10 prototype ships are also on there way with Shadowsun leading.. And it would also seem that Marneus Calgar and the 1st and 2nd companies of the Ultra marines are coming on a Battle barge with 2 Gladius Frigate along with Shadowsun's fleet. Captian: “Now that is a story I want to hear, but now I must go to the meeting with my fellow commanders.”

that should be a total of
15 Or'es El'leath Class Battleships
31 Lar'shi'vre Class Cruisers
9 Skether'qan Class Starships
84 Kir'la Carrier Escorts,
9 3 Kir'shasvre Heavy Escorts
10 protoype ships
1 transport
1 battle barge
2 Gladius Frigate
various fighters and drones

About a quarter of an hour later, a small shuttle landed in a hangar bay on the Or'es El'leath, who still no one really had a clue about how saying the name.
On board was Prince Ilia, reading through some reports. It looked better with every passing hour - more fighters, more pilots, more ships were arriving. The ground assault was also coming as requested.
And he had managed another thing: His Grandmother was returning to Wadd. She finally saw reason, that a woman of 110 years had no place on the actual battlefield. Replacing her was General Süleyman al-Malik, an officer of the old guard, who was a young man, when the Sultan of the same first name ruled.
"Prince, we have arrived.", the pilot yelled through the ship. Usually, it would be seen as rude, but Ilia wasn't a man, who took much fancy in formalities if it didn't need to be.
As the ramp lowered, the Prince stood at the head, ready for the meeting, at his side only his aide and bodyguard in one person, Lieutenant Sarah al-Ahad - one could make an educated guess, where the name of RSC-Station Sarah came from.

I hope you forgive me, that I took the freedom to simply land on the flagship!

Captians the tau have requested a meeting on one of there ships and our librarians have picked up an ultra marine disturbance in the warp.

Azreal: we will prepare for the meeting now and send a message to the smurfs saying that we welcome them to our warzone with open arms would you.

Yes sir

Bridge of the imperial heart:
Commander: have the flight crew prep a shuttle for immediate launch and tell the captains when it’s ready for them.

Servitor: yes sir

Commander: now communications send a message to the ultramarines let them know of the situation at the war front.

Communications: on it sir.

Flight deck:

Tech marine: comms send a message to the captains that there shuttle is ready.

there will be no need for you to do that comms.” said the three chapter masters as they walk though the blast door then on to the flight deck and in to the shuttle.

Azreal: pilot you are clear for take off.

Pilot: yes sir launching now.

A few minutes later aboard the Du Fio'tak an Il'Porrui:

Not expecting to be greated the three walked up to the other fleet commander

The Du Fio'tak was... filled with a disgusting amount of splendor.
Lieutenant al-Ahad thought that, but her family was known for their rather spartan way of life. Prince Ilia, used to the Royal Palace on Wadd, thought, that the decorator might went a bit overboard... but only a bit!
As soon as their mistake of landing on the wrong ship, the odd pair turned around and flew to the next ship, hopefully the right. They even took the time to look out of the window on the assembled fleet..
Their luck wanted it, that another group of ships, Blockade Runners, arrived just at that moment. Standing order was to remove all unnecessary stuff from the ships in order to make more room for troops, equipment and supplies.
His mother had made a point in her idea of using these ships as supplementary troop transports for breaking through the enemy blockade and bringing down soldiers. The exact contingent wasn't set in stone now, but they were working on it - as was the new Lady Commander of the Army.
Finally, after several security posts, the Prince and his bodyguard entered the actual conference room, where they hoped to be welcomed.
"Peace with you, Gentlemen.", the Prince greeted with a small, excusing smile. "Please excuse the slight misunderstanding earlier - as far as I know, two of us wanted us three to talk to each other in person?"

“Yes, Prince Ilia I did. I am Kor’O (Admiral) Ko’Kyse. This is Shas’O Shas'shi commander of the ground forces. Shas'O Shaserra (Commander Shadowsun) will be joining us soon and will have overall command. And before you say it I know this place is overly ornate. The water caste diplomats insisted we have the meeting here. Something about making a good impression on a new race or some such. Anyway the reason I have called for this meeting is to discuss what we are going to do when we go back into battle. As of now we have a total of 15 Or'es El'leath Class Battleships, 31 Lar'shi'vre Class Cruisers, 9 Skether'qan Class Starships, 84 Kir'la Carrier Escorts, 9 3 Kir'shasvre Heavy Escorts, 10 prototype ships, 1 transport, 1 battle barge, and 2 Gladius Frigate. Standard Tau practice after a strategic retreat is to launch long range probes and leave an observation drone at the battle site. Since we have left we have detected 390 new ship signatures of varying size.” Ko’Kyse then points to a map of the battle zone. He then continues: “We have also left a stealth fighter swarm to thin out there point defense weapons and fighters.”

Ilia nodded, as he listened.
"We have a Scoutship at the edge of the system, the Haram. Officially, she is a freighter under the name Starfire Frious, belonging to the Starfire Shipping Company. Our readings are quite similar. And we managed to get a reinforcement fleet en route. Sarah?"
The aid and bodyguard in one person nodded and drew two pad, standart issue of the RSC. The corresponding files were already opened, ready to be viewed by the user, which she handed them over to. "As you can see on these tables, the fleet is quite impressive and essentially everything, which we can manage to pull here. Each of these ships is completely ready for combat unless marked differently."
"I want to be honest with you, gentlemen.", the Prince said and leaned forward. "We do not really have the superiority of firepower here, which we are used to having. Main Battle Component will not really be the battleships here for us, it will be the fighters and fighterbombers... bombers not so much, but we have a few up our sleeves. Concerning the usage of our ships, I would prefer to use them as escorts to yours, especially the frigates, and the battleships to draw the enemies fire away from the blockade runners, because we have a really mean surprise."
RPing in MT and PT.

Ko’Kyse: “That is a lot of ships to say the least. Though these blockade runners what are there specs? Because I have an idea that may or may not work.” He then turns to Azreal. “As for using exterminates ships I think we should leave that as a last fail safe.” (Then to everyone.) “You might also like to know that we have 10 cyclonic torpedoes on that transport.”
"... Ultramarines never have to deal with shit like that. Then again, they are the Ultramarines. Rebels don't surrender out of fear of them, they surrender because the last they want is another lecture about their prowess in battle."- AETEN II
