Sanura Kaloah-Loyalist Sergeant
I choked on the water as I was thrashed down the creek. I somehow managed to hold onto the knife as I hit a rock, knocking the wind out of my chest and continued down. The creek quickly turned to rapids, and I fell down onto another section after a short fall and then was again forced down the river. I managed to look up ahead as I caught a glimpse of a large fall. Or at least it appeared to be large. And as I tried to scramble to the waters edge and climb out I was not strong enough. And as the sharp rocks beneath the waves placed superficial cuts upon my legs and arms I finally made it to the edge. And over the fall I fell and dropped my knife as I fell dozens of feet. And crashed into the surf below.

But this section was calmer. And I was able to pull myself out of the water. Where I coughed as I struggled to breathe. And I collapsed upon the earth. The damp soil clamping to my body. AS I scanned the sights around me I discovered that my tribal knife had washed up on some rocks on the waters edge. And I pulled myself over to it, reached out and weakly clasp it in my palm.

I then rolled over on my back, and looked for the Voyostok soldiers to emerge from the water. Wondering and waiting to see if they made it all all. I was exhausted, depleted and nearly defeated. As the minutes passed I saw two figures rise up from the waves after the fall. And I waved weakly at them from the shore, whatever we have to do. We need to do it now to get out of here. We should be close to the coast, meaning loyalist territory, so if we can signal evac, then we can get to safety.

But then it hit me, there were only two Voyostok soldiers here. The third must be dead. As the thought passed through my mind I put it aside as I uttered weakly to Dnieper, as she and her comrade clawed their way out of the water.

"I...am...sorry...for ...your...comrade..." I heaved as I still could not breathe properly. But, apart from my knife, I had lost all of my gear in the jungle and surf. And my leg was still damaged. So, I hoped dearly that the Voyostok soldiers will have something of value we can use.

I then looked around. And the sun was setting quickly, the first day of the battle was almost over. And it will be dark soon. It will be difficult to signal in this darkness of the jungle. And doing so means we could give our position away to rebels, but still. If my calculations are right, we are in allied territory, so militia retaliation is minimal.

But this is war...nothing ever goes according to plan.

Dniepr was glad she had stripped almost everything away upon deploying to the village area. VDV wore their armored vests underneath their jackets, and as she pulled the tab to quickly release it, she knew that had her jacket been on, she'd be in Harkov's position, as the soldier struggled to stay above water.

Needless to say, when they finally clambered ashore, they both looked an awful mess. Harkov had lost his skull cap and backpack, while Dniepr's helmet and one of her Makarovs was gone. Still, at least they were alive. Kerchov was not. But he had died fighting, at least, much more noble than if they had drowned.

As they waded ashore, Dniepr vaguely heard the woman, Sanura she thought the name was, say something, and realized she was speaking of Kerchov. But Dniepr holstered her pistol, waving it off.

"He died fighting," the lieutenant replied hoarsely, her throat killing her just like her head. "That's all we ask for. That we have someone there to take back the story of the battle we fell in."

The two of them collapsed as well, Harkov still coughing up seawater as he rolled over, struggling weakly with his jacket as he peered up at Sanura.

"Do you...do that...all the time in this country?" he rasped, finally tugging his jungle jacket away so he could attack his armored vest.

The sun was setting. Night would fall soon, and they'd all three be screwed out of their gourds. Dniepr and Harkov weren't fools, they'd spent weeks in these jungles. They knew the risks.

But, in the distance, almost like a tease, there came a familiar buzz...which built into a drone...which became a roar as the Mi-24 Hind soared overhead, swooping around to come back and hover over them. Though the jungle was too dense for a proper landing, the side hatch swung open as a spotlight snapped on, illuminating the miserable, wet trio below.

A rope dangled over the side, followed by two, then three, then four more, dangling like a pack of snakes. Down they came, the VDV, skilled specialists in assault warfare as their boots touched down. Most of them moved to secure the area, but the last one stepped forward, shaking his head.

Lieutenant Noski chuckled as he offered a hand to Dniepr. "You always end up in the strangest places, Sorscha."

Dniper grinned ferally as she took the offered grip, hauling herself up as she retorted "Don't you think it a bit ironic that you're -looking- for me in those places?"

The two chuckled, Harkov limping by on the shoulder of another Dominion soldier. Dniepr turned, jerking her head to Sanura.

They were finally getting out of here.

The Revelation slowly made its way over the dark and clear water.

Michael Rodriguez frowned as he looked out from the deck of his ship. Something was wrong.

He walked along the deck, as if expecting a ship to pop out of nowhere. The feeling of dread intensified as a flash of lighting illuminated the sky and it began to rain.

Looking for something to do, he slowly made his way toward the stern.

He stood there for a few minutes, before a loud BANG! Shattered the silence. The bow caught fire and the crew was suddenly all over the place, making repairs.

Rodriguez was momentarily stunned, but then he picked up his radio and called for backup. He watched as a large frigate came into view over the water.

An explosion brought Michael back to his senses, and as The Revolution began to fire back, he got a reply on the radio that help was on its way.

Only 5 feet away from Michael, an explosion knocked him off his feet.

The ship was being overpowered. The frigate was too strong.

Two aircraft carriers left the frigate, and began to circle the Revelation, firing at random intervals.

The port set fire as well, and the ship started shaking. Rodriguez thought about his wife, his kids, he wondered if he would ever be able to see them again.

Then, as soon as the ship began to sink, The Eagle appeared out of no where, and began to help fight off the frigate.

The 12th Wolf regiment was near the battlefield and they had a good view of the very large enemy force. Intel reports stated that the Voyostok and Kambana troops left were able to evacuate and regroup, it would now be the the 12th's chance to partake in combat. Captain Nicholas Rogers inspected the sheer size of the force to be dealt with and ordered another air strike by the F-22 RR's, that would disorientate them as well as take out another large chunk of them.

Within minutes, the air stike came and the communists were running around trying to find some cover. Then, the regiment began its assault.

Snipers set up and began picking them off one by one while the regiment as a whole opened fire on the panicing enemies, however, they quickly began to return fire on the small regiment. 480 soldiers in that regiment facing anywhere from 600 to 1000 enemies. Another 15,000 soldiers at the Orendajo HQ were prepared just in case worse came to worse. The stakes were high but Orendajo had to be recognized as a major force in this war and this battle should set it off, assuming they win...

Azain Wikol-Loyalist Supreme Commander
I was going over the night reports when I got a message from the Orendajo military. They were requesting permission to land. And I was inclined to give it. All the more weapons for my rise to power. And if Orendajo wanted to help me get there, then that was there option. I sat down as the sporadic gunfire kept on in the distance. And I lit up a cigar. The first day of battle is over. And the second day will bring us victory in this battle. There is not much these communist can do about it now. In fact, as long as we keep a clear line of supply and control of the coasts we will win this war in short order. As long as more men from foreign nations can land, then we will press forward.

That is why they are trying so hard with this battle. They know that if we are not pushed into the sea then they will be finished. I am the reason the communist got the nerve to start their little coup, and I will be the reason it ends. They believe I actually wanted them top run the country and then turned on them.

No.

I want real leadership in Kambana.

My leadership.

I then turned to a aide of mine, and while there was a foreign commander in the room. From the Dread Empire, I spoke to the aide in Kambani.

"Ko nuri suya. Wa noka ni. Hu vaan baki ben kada no koren ba. Abat kaar." The aide just passed a glance at the man from the Dread Empire and Saluted me. And replied with a 'Wo tey.' And left the room.

All I told him was to report to my field commanders and execute 'Order 46'. An order that will mean to terminate any officers or even enlisted men and women who may threaten my goal of taking over the government.

It will not be long now. I breathed heavily, and then heard the thunder clash against the sky, followed by a heavy rain. This rain will turn the roads into mud and pits of impassable terrain. This will not be good for our advance, but, some things cannot be helped.

Sanura Kaloah-Loyalist Sergeant
It was weird, how they found us so easily. But, as we evacuated the area. I did not complain. It was not long before rain began to assault the chopper. And I listened as it barely made itself heard over the engines. A Voyostok medic attended to me. He tried to ask me questions, but I just faded in and out of sleep. I was not even worried where they were taking me at the moment.

Not worried about if I will be taken to a Loyalist base or elsewhere. Just that I was alive, which is much more than most on this battlefield.

OO: Sorry, but writers block combined with a need of sleep is getting to me. I will add to this or post again tomorrow. But, this will show the thread is not dead.

Needless to say, the flight back was uneventful for everyone. Harkov was treated for the bullets he had in his side while Dniepr's head wound was patched up. Sanura fell unconcious after they took off, but Lieutenant Noski (who was also Kaptain Noskov's nephew) assured her that the Kambanan woman would make it through the night.

And on they fley. The Crocodile (as the Dominion called their Hinds) was a durable, reliable support helicopter, and it lived up to its reputation as it flew across the deep jungles of Kambana. In the distance occaisonally, gunfire and explosions would light up the night, proving that the war wasn't over because of low-light conditions.

Abruptly, the Crocodile was joined on either flank by a pair of sleek, smooth gunships, predatory in nature with sophisticated dual rotor systems keeping them up. Weapon pods bristled from under both stubby wings, and the thick windshields guarenteed protection to the pilots from anything up to a 20mm autocannon round.

Image

No doubt about it, the KA-65 Howler was the Dominion's best adaptation of ex-Soviet firepower. These helicopters, as well as the autocannons next to the pods and anti-tank missiles, also had pods full of fuel-air rockets, allowing them to set fire to an entire forest below them, an incredible asset out here in the jungle.

It didn't take long after that before the helicopters finally set down at the VDV fire base. Here, almost two-dozen other helicopters, Crocodiles and Howlers and even some of the newer Mi-36 Locust support helicopters, a Voyostaki variant of the Crocodile. On the ground, over a hundred paratroopers made this cleared camp their home, and as the transport set down to offload their troops, Dniepr finally relaxed, looking around at all the aircraft and the tents on the edges of the camp. Here, she was finally home.

Kaptain Noskov appeared without warning, as he often did. "Gone for a stroll, Lieutenant?"

Dniepr spun, realizing her superior was nearby, but managing to resist saluting. "Yes, sir. Took a tour of the jungle. Anything we miss?"

"Not much," the kaptain replied, shrugging as he jerked his head, inving the lieutenant to walk with him. Nearby, Sanura and Harkov were both being rushed to the medical tent, and Dniepr felt a bid badly for the Loyalist woman. She'd be waking up somewhere strange, surrounded by words she couldn't read and a language she couldn't understand.

"Dragon slipped away again," Noskov said as he stopped, leaning up against a Locust. Dniepr frowned, cursing under her breath. "And now the entire country is embroiled in conflict...we thought the jungle was hell before...it's about to get a lot worse."

Commander Norris returned to meet with Major General Thompson where he informed Thompson of some suspicious activity at the Loyalist staging area. But, knowing that the Kambani conflict would be interesting, Thompson sent spies to investigate both sides before hand. Only one spy returned because the other spies were found and either held in prison or executed on the spot. The spy that returned, however, explained to the men about the very suspicious ativity as well as "Order 46", the spy did not know what that order was in detail but it sounded menacing to the spy. Troops at the HQ have been informed of this but were ordered to "deal with the first threat", that being the communist rebels.

Meanwhile, on the creek battlefield, the 12th Wolf Regiment was trying to defeat the large communist force. The cover of the trees, nightfall, and even the rain that started falling helped the regiment take an advantage. They were doing very well against the enemies, losing only 20 men so far with 24 wounded. They were expected to pull through the night and defeat the communists, and if not then air strikes could be held once again.

Over the skies of the loyalist territory, the F-15 squadrons tried to hold air superiority. Now, trust was hard to come by...

The frigate turned its attention away from the Revelation, and began to fire at the Eagle.

All around Michael, men were getting boats ready. They all looked at Michael, waiting for his approval to board the other ship.

Michael gave them a quick nod, then got his own boat.

He got into the boat just as the bow of the ship sank underwater. Sumalli and Benjamin joined him.

The three of them rowed in silence toward the ship, while all around them, shots were being fired and boats being sunk.

When they finally reached the Eagle, they were greeted by a loud explosion. "ماذا نفعل الآن؟" (what do we do now?) asked Sumalli in Arabic. "دعونا العثور على القبطان." (Let's find the captain) Michael replied.

They walked along the deck of the ship, until they found a man who looked like he was used to giving orders.

Michael asked something in Arabic, then followed the captain into a room. Sumalli followed, leaving Benjamin alone.

Ben walked along the decks, looking for a familiar face.

Suddenly, an explosion knocked him over.

He landed hard on his head. Feeling the back of his head, he realized there was a deep gash full of blood.

Someone was calling his name. He wanted to call back, to tell them that he was alright.

But he couldn't find the energy, and all he managed was a moan before he blacked out.

International Waters, en route towards Kambana
Admiral Maximinius, Imperial Seventh Fleet

The Imperial Seventh Fleet had recently been withdrawn from the Zimatis area following a cessation of hostilities. Apparently his fleet had been enough to ward off a full conflict in the area, and now it was inbound to join the Ninth Fleet off the coast of a small nation known as Kambana. The Admiral was aboard the Fleet’s only supercarrier, the INV Mount Calvert, though he also had 3 Tacoma Class light carriers carrying 45 aircraft each to accompany him, then the 21 Tempestus Class destroyers as well. Two divisions of the Imperial Army and two Imperial Airforce wings had already proceeded ahead of the fleet and were already arriving in the nation, and the Seventh Fleet would be joining them in a few hours.

Off the coast of Kambana
INV Westwall CAG

The secondary group that had broken off from the main force of the CAG to keep themselves hidden was nearing it’s target, the Flight Commander estimated it would be another minute or so before they were in weapons range on the hostile fleet. He ordered his portion of the CAG, who still had working stealth systems to bring engines up to full power, the hostile fleet was about to be caught in a vice.

Eastern Kambana
Dread Imperial Army, Kambana Corps, Advance Recon Battalion

Initiate Fulton saw a large group of Imperial aircraft pass overhead, it seemed as if the Kambana Corps was receiving reinforcements from the home front. After a few more minutes of the Battalion sitting idly on the coastal road, they began to be joined by more vehicles from the staging area, he noticed different divisional markings on the them as well, the 252nd and 418th. The Initiate chuckled, this campaign was going to be easy, he climbed back atop the IFV as he knew they would

The enemy air attacks seemed to have died off once the Firmadores fleet reached shore. Still, both destroyers were damaged and one was taking on water. The twin attack had punctured the ammunition storage unit of the leaking ship but was stopped one cabin for igniting the whole vessel. The rotor and OTH set are severely impaired. For the first time the Firmadores positions were able to establish counter-battery fire, using information on SONAR beacons that tracked income projectile trajectories automatically. The continued barrage finally died off, equating to three hundred killed and wounded out of the thousands now on the beach. HIFVs rolled off some grounded transport ships, SAMs were set up along the beach.

The enemy armor rolled right into the forward company's ambush, where they charged from the sides of the dirt perfectly camouflaged with the native foilage and took to bayoneting and C4 tanks, APCs and all other vehicles. The brutal hand to hand combat clashed with the silhoute of primed grenades detonating. Tank Reactive armor would be detonated by ATGMs and shred nearby infantry, friend or foe, to pieces. The commander of the company was in the dead center of the fighting, which so happened to fall onto the enemy's headquarter platoon. Along the sides the enemy was shifting, flanking, but Captain's orders were simple. Kill their officers. Seemed ironic. The enemy vacillation had meant three kilometres of road where heavily mined and along their periphery. The Captain ordered naval artillery to fall directly on his position, amongst the enemy command.

In the forests of Kambana the 12th Wolf regiment was winning but at a much larger cost. 66 men had died with another 70 wounded. But despite the losses, the regiment held their ground for they knew that more airstrikes would come to finish off the remainder of the enemies. Some already began to retreat which was a very good sign.

Suddenly, like a group of roaring angels, the RR's came and began their missle strikes. This caused more panic among the rebels and they started to disperse because of it. The Wolf regiment began to push forward picking off one by one, however, they experienced still heavy return fire. The regiment ran at the rebels trying to instill fear so that they would run away and it did partially work but there was still several combatants in the area.

After another hour of heavy fighting the battle finally was over. The militia had been overwhelmed by the Wolf regiment and for the most part was on the run. There were still a few fighters but they could be disposed of easily enough. Looking at the carnage, Captain Rodgers looked at his remaining men and said sarcastically "Well that wasn't so hard, was it?"

OOC: I kinda just finished that battle because no one was RPing for the enemy militia but I can edit it if its considered God-modding :)

OOC: So WRA never sent men forward.....

IC:

Battle of Liwisse Beach, Kambana

The company engaged the Loyalist Kamban forces, naval artillery following down on the small battalion sized element. The road ran red with blood as the commanding officers were killed, the retreating battalion melting into friendly territory as the victorious company returned home, less half their men. Three sentries patrolled the one road to the south, where the Dread troops were and the road to the north where Loyalist forces were positioning themselves in unknown strength.

The fleet continued to unload their men, along the beach and occupied hills were dozens of SAM-400s, the only two surviving Harriers were switching patrols constantly. A long range unencrypted Emergency Radio message went out, "This is Firmadores naval infantry commander LeBlanc, we are hemmed in on the beach, forty kilometers north of Port Kalassa. Communist reinforcements needed for a break out from the west, enemy concentration along the north and south going roads. We will be moving out a battalion sized element to keep the western jungle in our hands." A battalion of five hundred grizzled veteran Reservemen went into the hot western jungles, their water resistant kit would help them out significantly. The radio call was open, meaning the Communists most certaintly got it, but so did the pro-Loyalist forces. Night came over the battlefield.

By the order of General Vallen Brehon, more supplies were to be delivered to the Loyalists in Kambana. The supplies would include more tanks, self-propelled armored vehicles and armored vehicles with missile systems, with addition of AA vehicles, LVS trucks and weapons – rifles, rocket launchers, bazookas, machine guns and flamethrowers. All supplies, apart from LVS, will be transported by air, using cargo aircraft with Air Force fighter jets providing security. LVS vehicles will be transported by water, using heavy cargo and transportation ships. The transportation ships will be protected by Naval warships.

Supplies:

1. Vehicles

23 M1 Abrams tanks

18 M60 Patton tanks

14 IAV Strykers

17 Cadillac Gage Commandos

29 MRAPs

24 M981 FISTV tank destroyers

43 Logistics Vehicle System trucks

34 M1128 Mobile Gun System vehicles

31 M56 Scorpions

26 M84s

2. Weapons

64 boxes of M16 rifles

55 boxes of M60 machine guns

59 boxes of MP5K submachine guns

72 boxes of M72 LAW rocket launchers

67 boxes of TOW anti-tank missile systems

46 boxes of WA2000 sniper rifles

53 boxes of M202 multi-shot rocket launchers

34 boxes of flamethrowers

68 boxes of FIM-92 anti-aircraft launchers

72 boxes of Mk 19 Grenade Launchers

The organized supplies were immediately transported to the Loyalist sanctuary in Kambana. The same sanctuary, to where the previous supplies were sent to. Meanwhile, General Vallen Brehon contacted the command of the Kambanan Loyalists, asking for them to collect the transported vehicles at the coast of the country.

Code: Select all
To: The Loyalist Command

From: General Vallen Brehon

We are shipping more supplies to you. Most of them will be transported by air, however, the logistics vehicles that you have requested are transported by water. That is why we ask you to give us the directions, where the ships should be heading to, to drop off the supplies. Once you give us the directions, we will direct the ships to the right location.

Captain Rodgers and his men (the 12th Regiment) got all the supplies that they could scavenge in the carnage and continued with their mission, 78 men were killed with another 83 wounded. That accounted for nearly 38% of the regiment which started out 450 men strong. But once they got the supplies needed they left the area and continued with their ground recon missions.

Meanwhile, at the HQ, some of the commanding officers were worried about the large enemy front at Liwisse Beach. Troops positioned themselves to face the general direction of the enemy and artillery aimed to that direction as well. The 7th Griffin regiment was sent to investigate the enemy front, the regiment was known for its silence and stealth, however it would not be granted permission to attack.

A message was then sent by Thompson to the Firmador Commanding officer..

Azain Wikol-Loyalist Supreme Commander
I received another message on supplies. And I radioed them to inform the units to head to Port Kalassa. I picked up the comms and spoke into it. "This is General Azain Wikol, send all of your supplies to Port Kalassa where they will be collected there." I then dropped the radio and thought how I should have let some underling answer but I would rather do it myself. It was then that another message peaked my interest, one intercepted from Firmador. It seems they have landed along the beach to our west, and we will have to deal with them sooner or later, I summoned a commander and told him to take seven hundred men and hit the positions Firmador holds and keep them from breaking out and if possible destroy them.

"Your forces will have access to new supplies brought to us by South Rothinzil, including but not limited to M1 Tanks, M16s, LAW rocket launchers and flamethrowers. When they get into the jungles you can..." I paused to add to the moment. "Burn them out. Make them wish they never heard of Kambana." I said as he left.

And as I could finally get back to my situation report, an aide reported in on the Order 46. He made sure no one could hear and sat down. "General, 127 of the 351 names given have been terminated. 49 are unaccounted for and the rest we can not reach due to fighting. What are we to say if the allies ask what this is about?"

I sat down and relaxed a bit. And shrugged as if dismissing the stupid question.

"We will tell them that they are communist spies, or sympathizers. And leave it at that. These allied nations are so full of their own spoils that they will not notice such a trivial thing as a few dead loyalist officers, and if they do, then that is what we will tell them. It wont be long, and Kambana will have a new leader."

I then closed my eyes for a moment to visualize it.

It was beautiful.

Segal Undali-Communist Fighter
After surviving the attack outside the Jungles we received reinforcements and were given new orders. To attack Firmador relieve Firmador soldiers near the beach. And because it was night, we could move quickly. But our force was almost exclusively infantry, and a few light vehicles. Command deemed our heavy units tied up and too valuable to spare and we can move faster on foot. Five thousand Communist soldiers, armed with everything from AK-103s to new Loyalist M16s. Depending on whose body the weapons were taken from. I let the warm night air wrap around me as we made our way to the beach, and within a few hours. We saw the first Firmadorian figures in the distance.

We announced ourselves as allies and held our weapons in the air, to signal we were not a threat. And then our number morphed out of the trees. And we proceeded to the beach. As our officers exchanged information, I was ordered along with other Kambanan soldiersto set up a perimeter, and watch for loyalist soldiers.

I then walked along a trail with about two dozen other rebels and set up along the trees, with enough distance to both see the enemy approaching and warn our own men.

Back in South Rothinzil, General Vallen Brehon picked up a radio message from General Azain Wikol of the Kambanan Loyalist Army. He instantly contacted the South Rothinzilian cargo aircraft and ships, that were heading to Kambana, and informed them of the location, to where the supplies should be sent. After being informed by the General, the cargo transporters now headed to their particular destination - Port Kalassa.

Port Kalassa, Kambana

While the cargo ships were still far away from the territorial waters of Kambana, the cargo aircraft and the escorting S.R Air Force jets were already near the country’s airspace. As soon as they entered the skies of Kambana, the planes and jets headed straight for the port. Once the planes and jets appeared near Port Kalassa, they dropped the first wave of supplies, which were the promised weapons - M16s, LAW rocket launchers, flamethrowers, machine guns, etc. The S.R Armed Forces hoped that these weapons will help the Loyalists to hold off against the enemy, until the cargo ships with transported vehicles arrive.

The cargo ships, escorted by the Naval warships, had finally entered Kambana’s territorial waters and began nearing the shores. They headed straight for the port. Once the ships arrived at Port Kalassa, the ships stopped in a steady position. Several teams of South Rothinzilian soldiers came out of the ships and began unloading the supplies and rout out the transported vehicles. They awaited for the Loyalist soldiers and port workers to welcome them.

The 7th Griffin regiment stopped in its tracks and set up a defensive line that would be able to hold a large enemy force for at least half-an-hour. The other 298,000 men at the HQ were told to activate as PK (Peace-Keeping) forces. 100,000 was ordered to protect the Loyalist staging area, another 100,000 was ordered to create a land blockade of sorts around that HQ and the Staging area, 50,000 were ordered to push through the jungles to reach and protect the small areas around Kambana that were still under loyalist control. But they would not engage unless engaged upon.

Port Kalassa, Kambana

The South Rothinzilian soldiers continued unloading the supplies. Port Kalassa was empty and there were no Kambanan Loyalists there to greet them and accept the supplies. The S.R soldiers assumed that all the Loyalists were in the battlefield, busy fighting the Cummunists. After the supplies were fully unloaded, the South Rothinzilian ships left Kambana.
