Stephanie groaned, closing her eyes as she fought for patience. First rule of escape: don't stand around asking questions or negotiating with your purser.
"Paceman, " she hissed in a clipped tone," they wanted to tourture you. We've done what we can for them. There's a portal in the hall. Go."

"*sigh* Whatever..." Paceman said as he stepped outside and into the portal.
The Brytil had a very confused look on his face.

Stephanie stepped off, shifting into human form. She dusted off her shoulders with a huff.
"By the way, we just saved your feaking planet. You're welcome." She muttered, storming out.

Stephanie sighed.
"Sorry about that. I got a bit ticked. Id better go, I guess." She murmured, opening a portal back to katrasen.

(Timeskip to a few moths later, I guess.)
Time passed. Mistyfang and Stephanie remained in Katrasen for several months, only keeping a breif contact with each of the leaders. However, today was different. Mistyfang had ordered more patrols, and trained much harder than usual. Often, sje would look towards the dark lands and her fur would stand on end before she could compose herself.
Dark ones had been arriving from distant lands, some that mistyfang knew and many that she had never encountered. They crossed with surprising peacefullness through her territory, on the thin neutural pass that allowed travel, and would vanish into the dark lands. The other alphas of surrounding packs had admitted to this in their lands as well when mistyfang called to meet with them. She didn't like this one bit.
Stephanie had been trying to glean information from Satan and Smokesky, but neither one would say a word about it- though their growing exitement was obvious.
Mistyfang glanced up towads the heavengrounds, having a mental conversation with stephanie, who nodded.
"Sir, I need to go somewhere. I'll be back by curfew," she called.
"Be carefull, and don't go anywhere near the dark lands." Blaze replied, suprising her.This must be worse than she thought.
She made a portal to Drawkland and vanished.

Iarocav had been caving in Kanyo's territory for the past few hours and was relaxing in Kayo, the capital city of that territory. He then noticed Stephanie had portaled near him, so he walked over to her and waved to get her attention, "Stephanie! What's the news from where you're from?" he asked, but noticed the grave expression on her face, "What's wrong then? I'm assuming it's Katrasen and not earth?"

She shook her head.
"Heya, iarocav," she said quietly. "Mistyfang wanted me to ask if there's been any...strange happenings lately," she said, her eyes shadowed with thought.

Iarocav shook his head, " Nothing - well, unemployment is up .2% ... and I think Callagard is suffering drought, but nothing of major significance," he pondered, "What's amuck with you?"

"Alright. Somethings been going on in the dark lands, and mistyfangs been on edge." She explained breifly.

Aside from the Brytils finally leaving them alone, nothing much had really happened in mushcap. Paceman was sleeping in his mansion.

Iarocav nodded, "That seems like a problem ... so let's go and resolve it," he said, and pulled out a pearl-marble, ready to go. Nobody noticed the two, even though they were in a crowded street marketplace.

"Mistyfang should be in her pack. I'm gonna go check on the others," she murmured, creating her own portal, to mushcap.

Paceman was still asleep, he hasn't had much of anything to worry about ever since the Brytils left. It was peaceful.

Iarocav nodded and appeared suddenly in Central Point Pack via pearl-marble. He looked around to find Mistyfang, and waved at a few of the wolves of whom he knew.
