Official Communiqué


For many years, Alexiandra's Senate has noted with disgust capitalism's propensity for causing violence and promoting inequality throughout the world. Every day, idyllic left-wing nation-states collapse when subjected to the ruthless, imperialistic march of white-collar, right-wing organisations. All too often, the working man is trampled underfoot by stampedes of gluttonous corporate executives and greedy national governments. Capitalists desecrate the earth's natural environments, stripping fertile lands of their resources in the name of progression. The common laws of decency and morality are thrown aside by those countries who are willing to commit unspeakable evils in order to gain power and influence. The time has come for the world's working classes to rise up against their oppressors. The time has come to liberate the globe's suffering workers, and unite them under a common banner - one of equality, justice and peace.

The Proletarian Republic of Alexiandra would like to invite all socialist and communist nations to join it in this noble crusade. Today marks the foundation of a new power - the Coalition of Socialist Nations (CoSN). This organisation will defend the working classes from tyranny, leading them towards a peaceful future of co-operation and coexistence. It will promote economic partnerships between left-wing nations and foster more amiable relations between members of the international community. It will seek the establishment of a stable, left-wing market, and it will, if necessary, use military force to defend socialist and communist nations from external aggression. The Coalition's structure is simple - its ruling body is the Senate, which consists of representatives from all member nations. This council will be headed by a Supervisor, who will wield enhanced administrative powers. The first Supervisor will be Michael Winter, of Alexiandra.

Member-states of the Coalition agree to respect and uphold the following simple stipulations:

-All member-states must economically co-operate with one another
-All member-states must defend any member-state attacked by an external power
-All member-states must promote equality and left-wing ideals within their territories
-All member-states must designate representatives to serve as delegates to the Senate

It is the Republic's hope that, in the troubled years to come, this organisation will stand as a shining beacon of morality against a background of political and economic turmoil.

First, allow me to introduce myself. I am Erik Nawwer, Foreign Minister of the United Provinces of Zoetland and Count of the Province of Federhaim. I am writing this letter, to express the utter condemnation of the CoSN by the Zoetlandish state. The creation of alliances and groups based on extreme ideologies is at least, a bad influence in the world. Your word of hate towards another economic/political system is also dangerous and it may cause instability in whatever issue this organization might involve in.

On the other hand, we would not like to see any existing relations between us and members nations of the CoNS, severed. Thus, although the United Provinces of Zoetland condemn the creation of the Coalition of Socialist Nations, will not take any type of action against it, nor now, nor in the future.

We truly hope that Alexiandran leadership reconsiders the creation of CoNS sometime in the future.

The Alexiandran People take offence at the statement recently issued by the United Provinces of Zoetland. The Coalition of Socialist Nations was, is, and forever will be, a defensive alliance created for a single purpose - the defence of left-wing nations across the globe. This organisation has no interest in causing instability or promoting violence in foreign nations. Any hostile action from any external power, however, will be met by overwhelming military force. There are no plans to dissolve the CoSN at this time.

The Empire of Finium is the epitome of corporate decadence, a prime example of the very ethical malfeasance this Coalition seeks to rid the world of. Finian officials lord their power and opulence over the working man, confining him to a life of deadening mediocrity. Imperial politicians routinely claim that they are "superior" to their subjects, despite the fact that they owe their very existence to the forced tolerance of the proletariat. The People of Alexiandra call upon the socialist nations of the world to rally to the banner of the Coalition, seek the dissolution of bureaucracy-choked "states" such as Finium, and free the everyman from the cage these capitalist pigs have constructed for him.

To Supervisor M. Winter,

The government of Boulovor has examined the CoSN proposal and come to the conclusion that a coalition or alliance of nations protecting socialist ideology from imperialist powers would be beneficial to Boulovor, and many other nations. Too often peaceful socialist nations have been overrun by power attempting to squash the efforts of equality and exert additional power over the world. Boulovor will contribute it's government and military towards a socialist coalition.

However, the government has decided two conditions on Boulovor's participation in the coalition.

  1. The Supervisor must be a democratically elected position to be taken by one representative of the CoNS Senate from any nation, and must not have any power without a majority consensus.
  2. Boulovor and the CoNS should never participate in conflict as the aggressive power; they should only ever take a denfensive stance.
Nation Name: The People's Republic of Boulovor
System of Government: Parliamentary Democratic Socialism

Boulovor agrees to respect and uphold the four stipulations of the CoSN, and shall participate in the coalition, as long as the aforementioned conditions are adhered to. We have a large defence expenditure and would be prepared to use our military forces in defence of CoNS member nations, as well as providing weapons and military equipment. The proposed representative of Boulovor is Danielle Ford, former Chairwoman of the PRB and member of the United Socialist Party of Boulovor.

To Supervisor M. Winter,

After witnessing no action within the CoSN and coming to the conclusion that it is a useless additional burden to the Republic of Boulovor, the government of Boulovor has decided that it will exit the CoSN immediately and unconditionally.

The CoSN must be a far more productive and useful entity if it wishes to receive more members and have a larger impact on socialism and capitalism worldwide.
