The Republic of Ceyn. This small island republic of smallest and newest member of the Chrisman Union. Home to 33 million people, Ceyn is a well developed nation dominated by vast forests of pine trees and the huge mountains of the Isanka Mountain range.
The Isanka Mountains are home to one of the best kept secrets in the Union: a silo of 6 25 megaton ICBMs, built as a deterrent to Northern Chenko's considerable nuclear stockpile. With bases in the Ishankas staffed by over 20,000 Chrismanic soldiers, Ceyn is easily the most secure state in the ANCU.
Communities are few and far between, but Allou, the capital of Ceyn, is one of the largest cities in the Chrisman Union, thanks to a huge port shipping all sorts of goods, from arms to tankers full of oil from the sea of Nican, Allou is the ANCU's link to the outside world. The economy of Ceyn is booming, and it's population prospering.
However that all changed on the morning of the 27th of November. It was just a normal day in the city of Allou. People were just beginning to start their morning commute, dockworkers began monitoring the huge influx of ship traffic the day would bring, children began to get ready for school. Those around the docks heard a building whistle, like a kettle coming to boil. To those who had been to war, and experienced the hell of it first hand, this sound is the most terrifying thing in the world. A sound which strong, grown men hide from. The sound of artillery.
Suddenly, the peace of the early morning was shattered by a deafening explosion. One of the dockland's many tanker ships had exploded in a huge ball of fire, engulfing a large portion of the docks in fire. Another whistle, and a row of warehouses became a smoking husk. Shells rained down from naval ships floating in the waters, pulverizing the docklands and reducing the beating heart of Allou to a blazing firestorm.
After the bombardment from the naval guns, squadrons of jet fighter bombers flew over the city, dropping high explosive bombs on the city streets. The city's famous highway bridge shook and collapsed as a load of 500 lb bombs slammed in it, sending civilian traffic into the ice cold bay. The sky scrapers that dominated the skyline slowly began to fall as bombers targeted them, sending their payloads sailing into them.
On the city streets, chaos reigned. Civilians fled for their lives as helicopter gunships patrolled the skies, raking the ground with cannon fire and rockets. Some people took advantage of the invasion, looting shops of everything from loaves of bread to plasma screen TVs. Following the gunships, transport helicopters disgorged soldiers into the city streets. The invading soldiers pushed into the city, torching government buildings and eliminating police patrols in hails of gunfire.
In the space of an hour, the city of Allou was reduced to a smoking husk. The first blows of a bitter conflict had been struck.
