*Tanner raised an eyebrow.*

Larson: "I don't know about this Bill...East America is the last great Democracy in the world. If we destroy it..."
Corrigan: "The Empire will become the only world power. Rostov will run Eurasia into the ground. We all know that. When East America falls, Germany will be the largest democratic power in the world. *In a little meeting hall, a large group of people had gathered. They were representatives of some of the more extremists in the nation. Tanner and Larson stood backstage, Tanner was to speak to them.*
Tanner: "It looks like we've got some of the Ultra-conservatives here."
Larson: "I thought you were a Conservative?"
Tanner: "In a different way then these guys."
Larson: "Well, they're our only allies...If we're going to get our revenge..."
Tanner: "I know. Well...let's do this."
*He stepped out and the hall got quiet.*
Tanner: "Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen. My name is William Tanner. I was a general in the army for several years before I was betrayed by the politicians in this country. They shot me, and left me for dead...all because I thought differently from them. You all know about that. You've been shunned by society because of your views. It's time we say enough of that. When the democratic government was brought back, you were given autonomy in the Federation. However, this government has gone back on that, limiting your autonomy and keeping you firmly under Washington's grasp. We must break off the shackles of oppression!"
*A woman in the crowd spoke up.*
Woman: "And how do you plan on doing that?"
Tanner: *He motioned backstage, Gagne appeared.* "The Empire...has generously given us their support." *He went on about his plan to bring the Federation to it's knees and destroy the government.*

Palace Tarkin, Nevermore, Imperial Republic of America. 2 January, 2109

The 39 year old Minister of War was reading a tome in his Office when one of his servants entered and bowed.

"I mean not to intrude, Your Eminence, however, the shipment you asked me to oversee is complete. Almost two billion dollars in cash, 50,000 rifles, 150,000 pistols, and enough bullets to last them a decade."

The Prince smiled.

"Thank you."

*After speaking with the Political/Rebel leaders, Tanner sat around in the Hall and talked with Larson and Gagne. The Woman from earlier came up to them.*
Woman: "Excuse me, Mr. Tanner?"
Tanner: "Oh, Hello. You asked me a question. What can I do for you?"
Woman: "I wanted to tell you that I support what you're doing...however, I don't think the others support you."
Tanner: "And what makes you think that...Miss...?"
Woman: "My name is Alison Hill. Now believe me, we all want change in this nation, however, no one really wants to rebel. Too dangerous, also...we're kind of concerned about..*She pointed to Gagne.*
Tanner: "Don't worry, the Empire only wants to see change."
Hill: "But again, no one is really going to try to rebel."
Tanner: "Don't worry Miss Hill, even if they don't support me...I can get support from others."
Hill: *She raised an eyebrow.* "Well..I'll help you. I want to see this country burn. The government betrayed me...killed my brother because of his political affiliation..."
Tanner: "And what would that be?"
Hill: *She smiled.* "Just some extremist group. But he wasn't going to do anything wrong."

Imperial Palace, Nevermore, Imperial Republic of America. 2 January, 2109

The Emperor was looking over some paper work when he called his secretary in. When the young woman came in, the Emperor began.

"Did I ever authorise the transfer of two billion from the Ministry of War to Prince Tarkin's control?"

"No, Your Majesty, not that I know of."

Maximilian nodded.

"All right, just check up on it, all right?"

*President Myers was looking over some papers. It was election year in the Federation and it looked as if the Socialists or some other Left wing party would win. He was afraid that the Republican's would lose power in the nation. He had to find some way to help his party's chance. There was a knock at his door.*
Myers: "Come in."
*It was his Secretary Jonathan Henderson, with his was Royce.*
Myers: *He looked back down at his papers.* "Thank you Jon. What do you want Alfred?"
*When Henderson left, Royce began talking.*
Royce: "I've got something for you." *He handed him an envelope.*
Myers: "What's this?"
Royce: "Something I'm sure you'll enjoy."
Myers: *He opened the envelope.* "Yes...Yes I think this will do just fine."

Montgomery, Alabama, FEA. 25 February, 2109
*Tanner, Hill, Gagne, Larson, and several others entered into the Governor's building. They had weapons, armor, and other equipment. They wore masks and all black. After a few moments, they opened fire on the people in the building. The security guards were slow to respond giving the group enough time to take them out. They didn't shoot civilians. THey made their way to the Governor's office were Governor Rick McDonald had barricaded his office and was hiding. Larson planted a bomb on the door. After everyone was clear, he blew open the door. They grabbed McDonald and shot him.*
Tanner: "Alright, let's get out of here."

*The Police had responded very fast. All on duty police were arriving as well as SWAT teams. The Alabama National Guard was also called in and would be arriving very soon. Tanner and Hill found cover behind a building, splitting from Gagne and Larson who went in the opposite direction.*
Tanner: "Alright, activate Camo."
*Hill nodded and the two activated the camo, making them virtually invisible. They silently crept around the side of the building. On the other side was a car they had waiting for them. They got in and deactivated the Camo. The Driver turned around.*
Driver: "I've been waiting. Let's go."
*He backed out and began to drive off.*
Tanner: "Hear anything from Larson's car?"
Driver: "No, not yet."
*As they drove, they came across a police checkpoint. The city was virtually on lock down. The Head Officer of the Checkpoint walked up to the vehicle. In his hand was a small device that could pull up a record on whoever they pointed it at. The Driver rolled down the window.*
Officer: "You know the city's on lock down right?"
Driver: "Yes, I heard."
Officer: "I just have to check you to let you go." *He scanned the driver and got nothing. He then moved to the backseat. When Tanner saw the Officer, he was surprised. He had seen the man at the meeting. The Officer looked at Tanner, then smiled.* "Alright, you're clear to go."
*The Driver nodded and drove off.*
Tanner: "Lucky break."
Hill: "Too lucky. I doubt we'll get that again."

Palace Tarkin, Nevermore, Imperial Republic of America. 2 January, 2109

As the events on Montgomery spiraled out of control, the Prince Tarkin met with the top members of his Faction. As they sipped their wine in Tarkin's grand hall, they discussed the terror attack and what it meant for the Imperial Republic. As the talk continued, the Minister of War at last entered.

"Today marks the beginning of the FEA's end. Tanner and his forces will be instrumental in toppling the Federation's government, and soon we will see a unified America under our glorious Emperor Maximilian."

The men raised their glasses.

East America, Week of 25 February, 2109
*Across the nation, there was shock and disbelief about the Terror attack in Alabama. The FBI, CIA, and even elements of the Military were sent in to look for leads and yet none were found. President Myers vowed to hunt down the Terrorists and bring them the justice they deserved. However, now things were looking bad for Myers. As days and eventually weeks went on without many clues, People grew angry at the Myers administration, even more than they already were. In Washington, Leftist and Socialist Parties protested outside the White House and Capital Buildings. Socialist Party leader Erin Vosniak rallied supporters in these protests. Vosniak had been selected as the Socialist candidate for President and was hugely popular amongst the people. She was younger then the other candidates and spoke what the people wanted to hear. As Myers' popularity fell, her's grew.*

Alabama, East America. 1 March, 2109
*Tanner and his followers watched the news. They saw news about the protests in Washington.*
Larson: "So, the Socialists are now more powerful then ever. I knew this would happen."
Tanner: *He ignored him and kept watching. The news story then flashed to a story from Mississippi were the Chief of Police in Jackson had been killed in his home. On the wall in the house was a painted flag of the South.* "The North is going towards the left. However, our supporters are branching out throughout the South. Soon, we will spread."
Larson: "No Tanner, it's not going to work. I told you before we shouldn't have killed the Governor. We needed to start small. Now most of the country is against us. All we have are a few terrorists on our side."
Tanner: "The Empire will help us."
Larson: "The Empire can't fully help us! Only Tarkin's faction supports us, the Emperor wouldn't be stupid enough to throw his support behind our group."
Tanner: "What would you have us do then?"
Larson: "Flee, flee to somewhere safe. Save ourselves while we still can."
Tanner: "There is no saving us now. And if you're going to try and flee...I can't let that happen. Gagne, take him away."
Gagne: *He came up behind Larson and grabbed him. He was stronger than Larson and easily dragged him away.*
Larson: "You've killed us all Will!"
*As Larson was taken away, Tanner turned off the TV.*

Nevermore, Imperial Republic of America. 3 March, 2109

As events continued to spiral out of control in East America, the Emperor issued a formal declaration warning the Myers administration to take a stronger hand in curbing terror attacks and mass protests. Already security on the border was heightened, with the National Guard and Imperial Army forces shutting down large parts of the border.

Palace Tarkin

The Minister of War and the other top members of his Faction met. The Prince spoke.

"I am enhancing our support for Tanner and his army. More supplies are already enroute to their bases. They should now have the firepower to seriously challenge the FEA military in a guerrilla war."

*Myers held his head in his hands. He was under a lot of stress. Attacks had continued throughout the South putting the entire region on edge. The Emperor was growing concerned and seemed to be threatening him, and to make matters worse, those damned protesters would not leave! They sat outside, sang their songs, chanted their slogans...Damn hippies he thought to himself. He was too old for this...or at least that's what he thought, he was 68. There was a knock at his door and Royce entered.*
Royce: "Mr. President."
Myers: "Sit down Al."
Royce: *He did so.*
Myers: "Have you got anything for us?"
Royce: "Actually, yes."
Myers: *He looked up.* "What?"
Royce: "Yes. The other day, agents in Alabama took pictures of people we believe were behind the attack. The pictures were taken outside of Mobile....You're never going to believe it."
*He handed Myers the image.*
Myers: "Tanner?"
Royce: "Yes. He's back sir and he poses the greatest threat to National Security since the Black Knights. I have agents in Mobile right now awaiting orders to investigate the area we believe Tanner was at last."
Myers: "Alright. You get your men working as fast as they can. I want Tanner found." *He looked at the image.* "Who's the woman?"
Royce: "We're not sure. We looked through all of our data and couldn't find anything on her."
Myer: "Alright. Well find something. Come back to me when you have more information of Tanner."
Royce: "Yes sir." *He bowed and left.*

The Imperial Ambassador to the FEA, Baron Felix Melbourne, made his way to the White House. As the senior diplomat arrived he went to the President's secretary.

"Tell His Excellency I need to speak with him," he said bluntly.

The nobleman gave an arrogant smile and bowed to Myers in a mocking sense before sitting.

"His Imperial Majesty the Emperor is growing concerned, Myers. The Emperor is not pleased that you are allowing terrorists to run rampant and the South to virtually be in rebellion. As you are aware, there is serious talk to close the border, and if it comes to that, there is a greater fear that if nothing is done to curb this violence, the conflict is going to become an Imperial issue."

Myers: *He frowned.* "The Emperor has nothing to fear. We have found the source of our troubles and it will be dealt with in a few days. The South is still firmly in Washington's hands, reagardless of what some might want. The rebels are no serious threat to the continuation of this union of states. There is no need to close the border between our two nations."

The diplomat nodded.

"You better be right, Myers. And if you aren't, and this leads to conflict, God damn you for letting it get this way."

The Baron rose and bowed and walked towards the door. Before he exited, however, he turned one last time at the FEA's leader.

"Watch yourself, Myers. There are many in both halves of America that wish to see one Union."

He then hastily departed.

*Myers watched the Baron leave. The last thing the Baron said repeated in his mind over and over again. He picked up the phone.*
Myers: "Ben? It's Myers. Get Agents Mongoose and Stag over here right away. It's urgent."

Back at his office in the Imperial Embassy, the Baron wrote a quick message and sealed it with his emblem. He handed the letter to the Prefect of the Praetorian in the Embassy.

"Deliver this His Eminence the Minister of War."

The Guard saluted and made his way for his helicopter.

Mobile, Alabama, FEA. 4 March, 2109
*Hill spoke on the phone.*
Hill: "Alright, don't worry I will. I'll talk to you later."
*She hung up the phone. Tanner walked into the room.*
Tanner: "Who was that?"
Hill: *She smiled.* "My father. Want's me to go home."
Tanner: "Where is home for you?"
Hill: "You wouldn't know. It's a nice little town in Vermont. Not a lot goes on there."
Tanner: "So, how'd you end up in Alabama?"
Hill: "My brother."
*Tanner was about to ask more when Gagne entered.*
Gagne: "Mr. Tanner, there is a man here to see you...says he is a friend."
Tanner: *He picked up his gun and went with Gagne to the door. At the door was a man.*
Man: "Are you William Tanner?"
Tanner: "Who wants to know?"
Man: "A supporter of the rebellion of course."
Tanner: "What's your name?"
Man: "Tyler. Tyler Jackson."
Gagne: "We saw this boy before. He works at the Gas station down the road."
Tanner: "Ah, yes. So, Mr. Jackson...What faction are you a part of?"
Jackson: "The one you were a part of."
*Just then, Tanner was hit in the shoulder with a bullet. Gagne was also hit. Several men rushed them and entered into the House. A few apprehended Tanner while the others looked for others. When they got to the room that Hill had been in, she was gone.*

Nevermore, Imperial Republic of America. 3 March, 2109

Several hours later, the Prefect's chopper reached down in Nevermore. The Guard quickly made his way to Palace Tarkin. The Prince and his closest allies were still in meeting. When the Prefect entered the room, he bowed respectively.

"Your Eminence, a message from Baron melbourne."

He handed the note to Tarkin who read it quickly. He smiled.

"Send my regards to the Baron."

He turned to the other men as the Guard exited.

"Your Excellencies, it is time we begin to lobby."
