Already at 280km, visuals of what appeared to be hot birds began coming in. The tiny dots were almost impossible to spot, but the fact that they were colored a very pale orange helped. Realizing that it was likely stealth aircraft, all of the planes readied their defensive missiles and ECMs for jamming. Though a bit complicated, the missiles were spotted immediately by the computers and jammed. The bombers also fired a volley of fifty 50kg warheads towards the stealthy planes. Of approximately 130 missiles fired, 110 were intercepted or downed by jamming. Just 20 planes were shot down, incredible due to their number. With about 250 fighters and 40 bombers left, the decision was to pursue the stealth fighters and get into visual contact. A force of 20 bombers and 100 fighters was quickly assembled to go after the stealth aircraft and shoot them down. The stealth fighters were probably VERY expensive to make and develop, and shooting them down might very well hit the IYFs hard.

Only the jamming would have worked against the missiles, as many simply bypassed the incoming "interceptor" missiles and flew towards their targets.
Meanwhile, there must have been a glitch involving the opening of the internal weapons bays or something, considering there was no way in hell they would have been spotted by IR at that distance, as the technology to do so was undoubtably PMT. Apparently, the Lollohians were under the dilusion that any missile could down a stealth fighter at that range, they were dead wrong. The missiles harmlessly flew off course with nothing to lock on to, and the jet pilots made sure to stay out of relative IR radius of the incoming warheads.
The F-22's were long gone by now, and the faster and stealthier, albeit less maneuverable and versatile YF-23's decided that even though they held the elements of surprise, range and pilot skill, it was time to bug out. Twelve aircraft against one hundred fighters and twenty predominantly helpless bombers was still an unwinnable fight. They fired off their own full load of AIM-120 ARAAM's, resulting in 48 missiles racing towards the Lollohian aircraft.
Even if the twelve stealth aircraft had been shot down, the RNI could see them replaced easily, considering it had both the budget and the already existing numbers to do so.

The F-22's and their F-16 comrades were landing, and a new batch of aircraft were ready to go up when they were finished. Within an hour's time, fifty-two IEK-88 fighters and twenty-four A-10 attackers were taking off from the large airfields. Thirty-two of the IEK-88 fighters headed towards the areas where the stealth aircraft had engaged the enemy airforce, while twenty escorted the attack aircraft on their sortie over the Free State.
More supplies continued to come in, this time another 10,000 soldiers and 50 HAV-99 IFV's were landing and being transported to Camp Locus on the DMZ.

The armada was now within sight of the deep-harbor Ruol port built on both steep sides of the river. They held back for the moment, allowing merchant shipping to clear before entering the mouth of the river. Currently in port was the remnants of the scout fleet that had been wounded fighting the overwhelming Mitheldolan fleet in the waters of Elescu and Wesselania.
Troop transporting cargo ships had already pushed ahead, and were now landing marine forces in Ruolnik. The first wave of freighters brought 50,000 marines along with 500 M1A2 Abrams tanks, 250 Type-102A mobile artillery, 1,000 BTR-80 APC's, 5,000 armored jeeps and humvees and assorted supplies. As the troops unloaded, they were immediately sent moving out towards Camp Locus on the DMZ, now largely a vacuum after the majority of the force is in the north of Wessel.
