The Government has launched an offensive towards the communists, trying to capture their Capital at Petragrad.
Meanwhile, foreign forces continue to invade further inland towards the Capital at Trygos.

And YOU..." pointing to the other gaurd..."If you want the entire nation to fall due to a bomb attached to my chest and bombers ordered to attack after it goes off, then shoot. And you both WILL escort me to him IMMEDIATELY, or someone is loosing a limb, and it isnt me."

Our nation was born,but only one member of the royal family survived. The path you are on now is simply leading to the same fate as th last king of France. I don't think you want that."

"What do you expect me to do?" he asked.
"If I let the communist party resume power, I will be tried and killed before the people's supreme court. They will replace me and everything I have worked so hard to achieve will all be for nothing." he said.

5 miles off the East Coast of Latonos

After a long trek with hauled supplies, The 25 ships of the OAF 7th Imperial Task force sailed gracefully towards the shore of Latonos. On the deck of the Destiny class flagship, O.U.S liberty was Colonel Gorden Usango, looking towards the shore with mild disgust.

"filthy nation" he said to himself with a low mumble.

"prepare the cannons and launch AWACS" he then yelled turning to the radioman sitting behind him.

"Aye, sir" was the young radioman's response.

At once the ships cannons turned as troops lowered into their landing craft. A loud boom was heard as the cannons went off firing high explosive shells at the city. Fighter aircraft and support would be launched after they secured a beachhead.

A messager rushed into the office.
"Sir, Neopolis and several nearby communities are giving us reports that they are being shelled?"
"By who?" Ian asked.
"Unknown, sir, but it is presumed to be either the invaders at Vorograd or Jinwoy."
"Jinwoy!?" screamed the dictator.
"Messager, you should double check your facts, Jinwoy is neutal."
"Right away, sir!"
The diplomat left the office in a rush.

"Now, where were we..." Ian said, turning his attention towards the ambassador.

"Well, it is apparent you are fearful of being dethroned, irrationally, by any other political force. The reason I say irrationally is due to the fact that I have thouroughly studied the situation and even talked to the Communists and some of your officials via telegram. I have yet to hear a single attempt on your life."

Ian looked at the ambassador, shocked.
"Excuse me?" he asked politely.

"Well, it is apparent you are fearful of being dethroned, irrationally, by any other political force. The reason I say irrationally is due to the fact that I have thouroughly studied the situation and even talked to the Communists and some of your officials via telegram. I have yet to hear a single attempt on your life."

"You dare question me, ambassador?" he asked sternly.
"Tell me. How do I fix the situation at hand without giving the communists too much power?"

"Let them THINK they have power. Think of England in reverse, parliament as the figure head and the king ruling everything in reality. "

In the commroom of the flagship THANATOS, Admiral Lord Vardek scanned the horizon. Eighteen miles to the west was the north-eastern coast of Latonos. The medium-sized city of Dol stood near to the natural bay. Farther to the north was Fallad Strait which would give the fleet strategic positioning for a move south when and if necessary. Lord Vardek decided to land the ground forces at both Dol and Nothia Thyra.

His command consisted of two Imperial CBGs. Each CBG had three battle-carriers, three battleships, four destroyers, four missile ships, two subs, and four FABS. In addition there was a hospital ship to take care of the inevitable wounded.

Looking down at the map, he could see that his positions would encompass the entire shoreline from just south of Dol up and around into the Fallad Strait and on down toward southern positions. The city of Notia Thyra would be a protective barrier from any attack from the north.

Hitting his commpin, Vardek spoke. "Attention, all commanders! We are within distance of the coast of Latonos and deployment is imminent. FireBase construction will head inland 1200 meters and set up a staggered formation three miles apart. MASH Units to be set up 100 yards from the sea and LZs for our HCGSs between the MASH Units and the FireBases."

Checking the map once more, he continued. "Fifty-five thousand ground troops to be strung across the entire range we occupy. Fifteen thousand to be stationed across the Strait near to Notia Thyra. Armor will be off-loaded at various points and our aircraft will deploy from the carriers. We will have our Rattlesnakes, Vipers, and Cobras patrolling the skies and our Python bombers ready to send inland if necessary. Further orders to follow. That is all."

Vardek looked again to the east. All was in readiness.........

Above Vorograd, 0315 hours

Three FF-930 stealth gunships flew high over Vorograd searching for enemy target. If a military target was spotted, they would circle it while they shelled it to oblivion. This was the part of the first strike on the island. While this was happening, the beachhead was being pounded with 300 mm HE shells.

0430 hours

After the shelling, the second attack was initiated. In this second wave, five stealth bombers dropped incendiary bombs on the beachhead, assuring nothing survived.

0620 hours

When the beach stopped burning the third stage of attack occurred. In this stage, the first wave of ground forces are being deployed on the beachhead. If all went well, they would have a sizable portion of the island by noon. What wasn't under their control, would be subsequently bombed with HE and incendiary bombs. This would be done until the rest of that particular island submitted.

The troops began setting up new weapons. Amongst the field guns in the newly captured city was a new artillery piece: the Atomic Siege. It could fire a shell with the force of 2 kilotons. They were not afraid to use it. However, with all guns pointed west and north west towards the two cities, it was going to be used soon. The coastal city under attack was Helioaktis.

280mm Siege Mortar artillery weapons began firing day and night, all aimed at the two cities. Massive shells flew into the air, and landed on the ground below. Crew members began reloading, and then firing again. For the coastal city, they were spared the Siege Mortars, but left to the Führer's hands as she shelled the coast with 18 inch shells and missiles. A landing crew of 20,000 was getting ready.

And now, 200 Super Heavy Bombers, 100 Heavy Bombers, 200 Light Dive Bombers, 100 Light Dive bombers, 50 Tank Busters, 500 Escorts, 100 Strafers, and a Missile Plane began making their way to every city within reach, splitting up. The dive bombers focused on military targets and ships, while the super heavy bombers dropped their bombs on the cities. At least one had an FOAB per city, and when it dropped, the explosion of 40 tons of TNT ripped through the city, devastating it. It was hell.

A charging force of 50,000, complete with heavy tanks, missile tanks, light tanks, medium tanks, artillery tanks, and transport tanks began making its way towards the Capitol, armed to the teeth. They were sent to Trygos.
