I had the idea a few RP's. One being a murder RP. Kind of a Who-done-it kind of thing.

Is anyone interested in RP where Arkhangelsk Oblast declares independence under a Marxist-Leninist egalitarian society and uses Ukrainian-esque rebels to rid Russian influence?

It was a dark rainy day for the small Arkhangelsk Oblast located within the north of the Russian Federation. Men, women & young children went about their daily business, but, a few locals angry with the Putinist form of governance and extreme oppression banded together as one in a small abandoned factory, in downtown Archangel (the capital). Inside the spacious industrial factory, overturned and broken tables, chairs and other sitting apparatuses littered the grimy floor while a small, neatly maintained meeting room dominated the eastern wing of it.

Inside the aforementioned room, a five metre maple wood meeting table was plopped in the middle of it and various colored small office chairs. On these very chairs, six revolutionary leaders sat quietly hurling Russian blabber at eachother. Over all the noise coming from the other leaders, the main leader Alyosha Illyushechkin, a former Soviet NCO quickly sprung to his feet and boomed in his parade voice, "ENOUGH!" The others, scared of Alyosha's booming parade voice immediately silenced, staring at eachother awkwardly. "Now," Alyosha began in a sense of domination, "This is final, we are going to declare independence today." The others applauded Alyosha's statement, with their eyes saying "Glorious, comrade!"
"I shall inform our supporters & revolutionaries immediately" Alyosha said while swiveling on the balls of his feet, and pulled back a set of white curtains, revealing a small Arkhangelsk Oblast police station. Alyosha pointed at it and shook his finger at the weird architecture of the building and then said to the other leaders who were preparing to leave, "We're going to attack it, swiftly and brutally" He stressed brutally at the end, making some other leaders wince at the thought of slaying police officers.

Alyosha walked through marble halls in an unidentified small insurgent complex with fluorescent lights atop him flickering wildly. He began to pick up walking speed to a fast walk in between walking and jogging. He turned a corner fleet-footed with the the two vertices forming the corner wall holding pictures of Lenin and Stalin respectively.

Keep in mind the nations of the world were already reeling from the fallout from the Black Mesa incident. Headcrabs everywhere, antlions, etc. Given what we've seen of the Universal Union's technology, they would need crushing numerical advantage to take on humanity if humanity was at its peak and organized. I mean, one of their strongest armored vehicles can be taken out by a few hull hits by an RPG. Their gunships have top speeds that are snail-like in comparison to human gunships, let alone fixed-wing interceptors, and can be easily destroyed by a few well-placed high explosives.

Basically, unless the UU had tech that they deployed and then withdrew from the Earth that we never saw, their victory relied entirely on humanity's resources already being stretched to the breaking point.

Yeah. Plus the UU's strategy sucks. If you notice, in HL2 that the humans have everything planned out before they make a movement, meanwhile the UU's main reaction to the attack is to send in overwhelming numbers.

It will be the first in 40 years as my nation had just been through a rough transition of power and is now celebrating its exit from a long period of isolationism. Your nation is invited and the presences of your nation's leading diplomat is required. He could be anyone, your leader, ambassador, general, or secretary for an instances, promised that he is in some position of diplomacy.

Then as your mission arrives and the conference was about to go ahead, something goes awry. A coup had occurred and now, the men who had just seized power had decided to plunge the nation back into the darkness, isolating the nation from the rest of the world once again.

The previous Madamme President is missing and the now and new President is a ruthless and a tyrannical leader.

Many cities fell as they are seized by the military.

A small battalion of the Presidential Guard survives the onslaught.

A handfuls of loyalist generals defects but as aforementioned, only a handful.

Thus, civil war looms.

So this is where your character comes in. Should you choose to join the new government, they now call the ruthless and tyrannical Ultranationalist? Or fight for the dire and desperate Loyalist, in their hopeful quest to recover the Madamme President, overthrow the bastard Ultranationalist, and reinstate the House of Ryu to power?

Or? Just remain neutral. The choice is yours.

Nevertheless, you may have to make a lot of decisions in this rp, much like a game as each decision you make has its consequences and with each consequences, affects the rp enormously.

Yeah, that's kind of what the 15-17th centuries were. We get that. Is there anything else enticing to draw us in? What differentiates it from the trite?

However, this new discovery is far away from the nearest Hyperspace Gate usable by Applebania to get to the planet, however other opportunistic nations are far closer, and when news of the discovery leaks out, they try to snatch the planet away before Applebania can consolidate their hold on the planet. The Applebanian explorers are almost defeated, then an Applebanian Starship fleet arrives and starts dispatching troops down to the planet to help retake what they discovered, and now there's a huge scrap over the planet.

So, basically, it's in a FT: FTL setting, and Applebania has just discovered a planet with loads of raw materials that can be easily converted into starship fuel. However, this new discovery is far away from the nearest Hyperspace Gate usable by Applebania to get to the planet, however other opportunistic nations are far closer, and when news of the discovery leaks out, they try to snatch the planet away before Applebania can consolidate their hold on the planet. The Applebanian explorers are almost defeated, then an Applebanian Starship fleet arrives and starts dispatching troops down to the planet to help retake what they discovered, and now there's a huge scrap over the planet.

That would assume that anyone your rping with has access to the gate, plus...There is also the issue with why there would be a huge fleet there unless it was someones planet? Because sensible interstellar powers don't just rush groups/fleets of ships to random systems. So I would think it needs to be built up too. That said I'd be more than happy to participate though I wont be doing any land grabbing (more exploring/sciecy stuff) if your willing. Perhaps issue outstanding contracts to galactic companies and so forth ?
